Hoarfrost West of great forks not far from the Yellow River sits the Wintersong Forest, locked in an eternal winter. A place of terror for the locals. Monsters and stranger things only told of in legends are said to make their home in the icy domain. Those in the Silver Pact knows it to be the territory of well-respected No Moon Sorcerous who keeps a kind of wildlife preserve out of it.

Hoarfrost herself is making her rounds in the forest itself. Checking in on all the various animals that she keeps in her forest, tending wounds and bringing food. A massive wolf larger than a Clydesdale, wreathed in ice itself follows close behind making sure no beast breaks the odd peace.

Spring Wind Spring has heard about Hoarfrost during her training, and coordination with lunars in the East is fairly valuable for a variety of reasons. However, this time around she's not traveling as a human but rather as a lumbering bear making her way through the snowy forest. The next step up from wearing bear fur clothing, right? As she nears the hut however she lets out a, "Gromph" of self-announcement. One may notice that this particular bear has unusually extensive whiskers however.
Hoarfrost The Center of the forest is a large clearing with a single shabby hut pushed to one side. Unlike the rest of the forest vibrate lush green grows everywhere. Herbs, berries, even some fruit. Enough for all the creatures to eat if they like. Its still cold here but somehow it drains on the body less and simply feels refreshing.

Finishing off binding an arrow wound Hoarfrost glances up at the strange unfamiliar bear making its way into the clearing. Dusting off a bit of dirt, knees still stained green from being in the earth she slowly approaches. "Hello there." Voice soft with a great warmness to it despite her pale appearance. "I don't think we have met before, are you hurt? Hungry?" her voice is enhanced with body language that seems to go beyond language itself even if the Riverspeak isn't understood the meaning is still there.

Spring Wind And with a swirl of brown fur, the bear condense into a tan cloak and outfit, though strangely with a cloth mask covering the lower half of her face. "Thank you, but no. I also suspect your hospitality was somewhat misdirected." Spring says, "I wanted to visit you to see if you needed help with any projects or just someone to talk to in general. You've been out here for a while, and human-or at least speaking conversation is a different animal from conversing with others around here. Pun intended."
Hoarfrost The surprise from the transformation is only momentary as the other Lunar assumes human form. The massive wolf nearby takes an extended moment of interest before picking up on its masters calm and settling back down "Hospitality is rarely the wrong tact sister." Though she is trying to keep her calm anyone who can get a recent read from others can pick up she is exited to have the company. Extending a hand she directs the other to the shabby little hut on the edge of the forest. "I'll make us some tea then. I am Hoarfrost rent from Morning's Dew, you can just call me Hoarfrost though. The whole title is a bit unwieldy."
Spring Wind "Spring Wind." she says, "I'm obviously not from around here with a name like that." she adds, grinning a bit beneath her mask. "But, 'Hoarfrost' it is then." as she crunches through the snow over towards the hut. "I'm mostly operating out of Great Forks nowadays. Ask for the, 'Rat Queen' in the more run down areas if you want to find me, though I'd appreciate you treating my given name as a separate person." she observes, looking a little more serious at that. "There are others who could get caught up in that mess."
Hoarfrost The hut is just as it appears from the outside. Small two rooms. The entrance opens into a living space shared with the kitchen space. A potbelly stove in the corner providing a bit of heat as well as a cook surface. A shabby couch and two chairs looking as though they where made of the wreckage of set of four sit near a low table. Plants of all kinds hang from the ceiling. Some living some drying they give the otherwise drab room a bit of life and color.

Hoarfrost collects a kettle and some snow from outside before setting it on to heat. "It is a pleasure Spring Wind, and worry not I will keep your aliases with care." An air of recognition on her face. "It has been years since I have traveled even as far as Great Forks. My business tends to keep me in the wild places. Any big news from the big city?" as she speaks she prepares a modest assortment of snacks, berries, a bit of homemade bread, some cheese she has under a glass to keep it from spoiling.

Spring Wind "Mostly something unusual in the Hundred Kingdoms, moreso than the usual skirmishes and shifting borders." Spring says, "I can't say what. Maybe someone glowy is making a push to set up a more lasting nation, maybe it's a big player from Hell or the Underworld. It might be interesting, but sorcery or divination hasn't really been a strong skillset of mine. Or one I can use at all."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost fidgets with her long white hair a bit as she listens. The Hundred Kingdoms seemed so far away when she was younger. As an exalted though the word feels smaller every day. "It is strange. You mention the activity in the Kingdoms but I have met many exalts in the last month recently. No less than three Lawgivers." She lets that set for a second. She is about to say more before the kettle cuts her off and she begins to work on making the tea. It smells strongly of mint even from across the room.

"Blackheart Keys, not sure if your familiar with him. Not one I would call an outstanding member of our pact has been trying to claim the whole Yellow River as his territory. I would be careful if you choose to travel by water. He hasn't attacked a brother or sister than I know of yet, but he is rather aggressive at wrecking boats all the same." Placing a wooden cup in front of Spring brimming with golden brown liquid and also offering the tray of food as she bustles about the kitchen. "Between them all I wouldn't be surprised if we see a whole legion of Dragonblooded sailing down to Forks."

Spring Wind "Well if the Wyld Hunt comes down on his ass and actually manages to do him in, that's on him. I feel like he might not be the best planner or defensive strategist." Spring says taking a sip of the tea, and picking a few berries or nibbling on the bread and cheese between sips and words. "I don't... Hate the guy, I barely even know he exists. But really, poor judgment can get a lot more people into trouble than just you. I don't want this region blowing up in our faces because of incautious behavior." sip. "Three lawgivers, though?"
Hoarfrost "If it where just Key I wouldn't worry. A single hunt, or small team the east could sustain." Looking a hair worried into the tea she holds between her two hands simply enjoying the warmth for a moment. "I'm no spy, If I learned so many Solar exalts where in the area, the Realm knows. Too much is happening too quickly." Despite her worries finally having someone to voice them too is a whole manner of relaxing for the No-Moon. Some of the tension she didn't realized and been winding up in her finally unraveling.

"Bright Journey, Silk Moon Lotus, and a third that claimed to work for a Death Lord. She killed an entire camp of men with a single swing. I haven't seen that level of destruction since ... " eyes going a little distant as if she where not wholly there. Shaking her head softly to wake from what ever though managed to get so deep in her head she smiles up at the slightly taller woman. "I'm sorry you just got here and I am carrying on as if we are facing a second contagion. "Is there anything you need help with Spring Wind? I could use something to get my mind elsewhere."

Spring Wind "Well, you could keep me updated on guildsman activity if you ever run into that sort of thing out here." Spring says, "They're not my favorite kind of people, though I do admit that some of them don't have much of a choice when it comes to any mercantile activity at all." she adds, "My dad used to be part of their group, but... Kind of pissed them off enough by being principled. Not a fun memory of mine either."
Hoarfrost "I can't say we see many of them docking at the local village that often. Usually It is so they can send poachers after the creatures living here." Her own hackles slightly raising at the mention clearly she is no friend to the guild. Sipping the tea helps her relax a hair and she nods. "I'll make sure I pass on anything I see. If you hear of any rare creatures or animals that just need re-homing or even medical care you know where to find me."
Spring Wind "Oh, yeah. Sometimes smugglers run exotic animals through, or even just shipping creatures that are going to suffer badly for the trip. Legality doesn't have anything to do with it sometimes." Spring says, "I'll drop them off with you if there's ever any that need to be fixed up or moved around." she says, "...So uh. Why the winter?" she asks.
Hoarfrost "That's entirely natural actually. Well relatively natural" She takes another sip on her tea. Not because she is thirsty but because if she didn't re would begin to resight a papers worth of occult material on the subject. "A side effect of the air-aspected Demesne. Given the state of the trees I suspect It formed during the Great Contagion when the lay lines of the world shifted. I suffuse my essence with it's and I can make the land fertile with food for all those that live here. Though much of the food is buried in snow, few ignorant of the natural world know enough to even look for it." Rather proud of how she has manipulated her territory to suit her needs. "It helps build the mystic of the place. If mortals think twice before wondering into what they think is a boarder march or even middle march."
Spring Wind "So using a demesne for a... Whassit. Sorcery project." Spring says, "Like I said I'm kind of rusty on occult topics. Still impressive though, I'm not going to say it's something less worthwhile because I don't understand it. If anything, it's even more amazing than I think it is." she adds, "...Oh, right. If you want to find me in an animal shape, look for odd whiskers or too-big pupils on an animal that really shouldn't have either trait."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost gives a smile and a nod. "Its okie Spring Wind, we all have our talents and weak spots. I'm not much for combat myself. Embarrassingly bad honestly." Pale face flushing a bit with embarrassment. "That said If you ever wanted training though, I've taught other Lunars in the area before. Sorcery is handy for everyone, a useful tool. I can understand being a bit intimidated by Riksi, so don't think she is your only option."

"Your tell?" The albino squints a bit trying to see through the magic inherent in the tell even knowing it she can barely make it out. "I'm honored you would share that with me. Mine is simply I can't shake my colors in form to form so they all end up albino as well."

Spring Wind "Well, yeah. It's a matter of being able to make contact with others, and I can already tell you care little for brutality or ambition. Desperation may drive you to malice, but for the most part I don't see that being an issue." Spring notes, "You're the sort of person you wants to stay out of trouble and help. I like that."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost gives a soft laugh that scatters the steam of her cup around her. "I'm not sure if out of trouble is the most apt description but I try and keep my nose clean and try and keep it to a dull roar. You have me pegged for helping though. The Pact changed my life for the better and let me help allot of ... well not people but friends none the less. I do what I can to help out and show the same love I was given when I joined." Finishing her drink she sets the cup on the table and looks fairly relaxed "You seem to have a good read on me. What about you Spring? What are you trying to accomplish out here." Waving a hand to emphasize the general here, Great Forks, the East, perhaps even as vague as Creation itself.
Spring Wind "Loot stuff from people who have too much stuff. Drop what I can at the feet of those who need it." Spring says, sipping. Her brow does furrow a little, however. "Greed's a poison, and it runs in the veins of some like blood. Hunger isn't what I'd call it, hunger can be satisfied... Hunger drives you to fulfill a need." she observes, "...One other thing. If you see a woman maybe... 20-30 years older than me with burn scars, looks like she's from the south by birth, let me know?" she asks.
Hoarfrost The romantic steal from the rich tale just gets a bigger smile from the soft spoken forest witch who is eating it up the whole time. "I found a beast once, he was causing trouble for local farmers. Eating their livestock and even them on occasion. Just eat and eat." Tongue wetting her lips a little as she fidgets with her empty cut. "When I tracked him down he looked half starved despite is all. When I healed him I found a terrible gut wound that hand managed to heal but did it all wrong. All that eating to satisfy its hunger would just make the wound bigger and leave it even more starved."

"Poison, sickness, wound, it all is a better description yes. We do what we can to treat it." Eyes coming up from her fidgeting to meet Spring's eyes through the veil of her bangs. "If I see such a woman should I guid her to you? Just pass the info along?"

Spring Wind "Ask her if she knows a, 'Spring Wind'. If she does, send her to Great Forks to look for me." Spring says, seeming a little distant. "Thank you for the meal and the tea." she says, smiling again for a bit before pulling her mask up. "I'd best be off, always more to be done I suppose."
