Hoarfrost Since that strange meeting at midnight Hoarfrost couldn't get a thought out of her head. So now she searches Great Forks for someone who should not be hard to find at all. Golden horses can't be that common in Forks can they?

The crowd pushes all around the smaller pale woman as she tries her best to keep an eye out but the numbers of strangers the ten thousand smells, not to mention all the voices are too much and she ducks into the first shop she can manage to push into. The cooler dryer air of the room a relief after the crowd.

Hoarfrost Socket has at least the semblance of sanity not to be running around civilized towns on a golden horse statue attracting all sorts of heavily the wrong sorts of attention and so instead it is hidden away somewhere, but it isn't as though she takes much further efforts to hide herself, rather not thinking that anyone is going to be looking for her as she travels through the city seeking out some materials and equipment she needs for an ongoing project of creating a workshop outside of the city... Though today she's looking more for books and where she can gather local knowledge, though of course they're less convenient to come by than she was hoping.

So it is that the lass from the Southeast is trying to move through the crowd

Tyrant's Tomes, reads the sign above the little book store depicting a rather cartoonish Tyrant Lizard wrapped about a stack of books. The shop itself is pushed tightly between two newer buildings of clashing styles. It almost looks as it the buildings squished the bookstore into its taller frame. Inside Is quiet cozy spaces with mildly dusty overstuffed chairs and couches. Piles of books in front of over full shelves make the space less an organized collection and more a lost treasure-trove of knowledge.

It takes Hoarfrost a moment to realize where she is. More in her element now she relaxes further. Stepping away from the door and into the store, peering at what might be found. "Well if I can't find Socket maybe I can find something here. Perhaps it's a meditation thing. Should I look for books about that?"

Hoarfrost The strange advertising always catches Socket at least slightly by surprise as she looks curiously at it for a few seconds, trying to work out the reason why a Tyrant lizard would want books anyway, those tiny little arms mean that even if it could read, how would it properly hold the books?

Anyway, Hoarfrost has only been briefly looking at the Immaculate Texts on Meditation which are conveniently one of the less expensive books in the store, as the Immaculates supplement the cost of their propaganda, but even that carries quite the price tag in a world without a printing press.

Socket looks around within the shop, seeming to move about it fairly quickly as though she knows just what she's looking for.

Frowning at a book is something the young witch has not been accustomed to. Yet here she is flipping through the rather unpleasant pages of an immaculate tome. "No ... perhaps not." She mutters to herself only catch Socket cruise by out of the corner of her eye. "<Socket?>" doing a double take as she spots the quarry of her search completely by accident. With only a moment of hesitation she moves to follow.

Voice still soft with care for those reading she says again this tiem in Riverspeak "Socket, I was looking for you, I don't suppose you remember me?" the small willowy girl looking up to the bigger crafter before her. "At the alchemist shop? Midnight?"

Hoarfrost Socket smiles and laughs slightly as she comes across Hoarfrost, then grins brihgtly to her, "Yes? Hi! Of course I remember you, from that very shop. It isn't as though I'm often out shopping at that sort of hour... well, mostly not. And if I were, it's my understanding that it would be impolite to claim that to be the case..." She pauses, then looks curiously at Hoarfrost again, "You were looking for me?" she asks in a rather less... excitable tone than the rest of it had been.

"I was ... I -um well this might sound rather silly." Hoarfrost takes a deep breath to calm her nerves. For once its less about the social situation and somehow more excitement. "I've always had strong memories from my past life, for better or for worse. You remined me strongly of ... something, and I was curious if you might have the same thing." Saying it out loud sounds way weirder than it did in her head. Cheeks flushing a bit as her Eyes trailing from Socket down to her feet "Sorry if that comes of as -uh ..."

First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket blinks a couple times in surprise at that, looking at Hoarfrost with a bit of baffled amazement, and then looks around at the little bookshop and then back to Hoarfrost, then nods, "Yes... your... past life. Mmm." She pauses, then nods, "I think I remember some... alchemical reagents that may be able to help with that." She pauses, then says, "But I think that's the sort of thing we might want to take a look at out... in the woods, I think... nature will help a great deal, being out in it?"
Hoarfrost The woman watches Socket's reaction to the question carefully. It was a risky play putting it all up front, but she doesn't seem to have the strong reaction she was expecting. Relaxing a bit she leans against the book shelf, looking even more pale than usual. "Heavens no, that is not a public kind of thing. Thankyou ... for understanding. I hope I can trust you with this." Another deep breath as she focuses herself. Looking a bit more determined she looks up "Whats the first step?"
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket looks curiously at Hoarfrost, and tilts her head, she knows she's awful at subtext but she thought she hadn't really... managed to use much of it, "Like I said... we could... go somewhere else?" She answers, and turns and starts heading out of the shop before the shopkeeper decides to call the order or something... Socket honestly has no idea how that would actually work, she realizes. She's just trying to avoid some things she's been warned about, which feels rather prudent.
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost knows she is smarter than this. Perhaps not in social situations, maybe its something else. The blush returning she nods quickly. "Right, right, sorry." Quickly following Socket out of the shop. Hoping their quiet little conversation wasn't as easily heard as she thought it was. Resisting the urge to just turn into something and flee as they step out onto the street. Instead she focuses on simply following the woman ahead of her.
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Of course turning into something in the middle of the street is probably not much better an idea in terms of not drawing undue attention to ones self.

Socket hurries away from the shop, and off towards someplace less... in the center of town, it doesn't take too long before they've found a path out where Socket sighs, "Ok... tell me more about what you mean. I don't really know... what that means back there but I do know I'm not too excited to find out about the sort of questions people might ask? I know I draw all sorts of attention and questions without... more help in that direction."

Hoarfrost "Perhaps that's why I came to you, you seemed right out of that time." Crossing her arms in front of herself. Part of the plan was to give a bit of a shock but some part of her feels as though she is being dressed down by an elder. "I know coming out and saying it was a big risk, surely not as much as all the Orichalcum, and asking for plants that haven't been seen since the Shogunate." Pinching the bridge of her nose she shakes her head again "No, no sorry, I'm not trying to move blame here. "

Trying to stat again, "Ever since ... well I've had pretty strong memories of a past life. Its how I've come to speak old realm." Feeling like she is in confession. Still careful enough to keep an eye on Socket just in case she turns on her for what she is admitting. "I know there is so much more knowledge but it feels like it is just out of reach. I was wondering if you ... knew ... anything."

First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket laughs, "Oh? I'm not *that* old" She protests, looking curiously over to Hoarfrost, as she then waves Hoarfrost quiet for a few moments as they pass by some others on the trail before she says, "Oh... huh. That's... interesting. That's... quite a lot to remember. I mean, I know oh so very many things, a few of which might even be useful. I could probably help you look into your past yourself, it isn't as though there is something... I can do to just call it out, though. But... I suspect it might be easiest to start by... hearing more about what you *do* know about your past self? How we could go about calling more memories out could change a bit depending on what they might have done."
Hoarfrost "No I didn't think there was, I just ... I guess I'm not sure what I was thinking." Fidgeting with her long white hair as she walks along the path with Socket. She is quiet for a bit after that. Considering the question. Only only sound between the two where the stones of the path crunching under foot. "I remember a city. A wonder of magictech over an ocean." Eyes distant and she hugs her self softly with her arms. "I had a husband I think, a crafter. He always looked so sad. We where doing something near the wyld. I was a sorcerer then as I am now."
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket nods, listening along, as she looks curiously to Frost as she says, "I... see, that's not necessarily a lot to work with. I think there are lots of ways we might be able to get something out of that, though..." She pauses, then laughs, "My first thought had been to teach you... I think that the new sight of learning Sorcery could perhaps have helped, but... I suppose that's probably what brought you to seeing what you do already." She pauses, "So... instead, perhaps more of that... practice, or, often the best way to truly know something is to teach it" She gleams with excitement, "What have you learned to do? I'd be interested, the tomes I worked out of were... rather badly damaged"
Hoarfrost "Forgive me from being vague. The memories are mostly all the unimportant bits of my past life. Inconsequential moments. Private moments. " she shakes her head a bit with a hint of a smile. "Some more useful but details on my past self's reading habits could take more time than we have today." The topic on magic brought up makes the small smile turn into a bigger more eager one. "Oh I've very well versed. Mostly focused on water based spells or the control there of." Que a long winded and exited explanation of every spell she knows. Spoken with a kind of passion and exuberance she has yet to show to any topic. Catching herself only at the tail end, realizing how much she has carried on and stops with a blush "S-sorry."
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket answers, "Hard to help you out too much if you aren't up for sharing those. I'm sure those are important in some way that's why you remember them, they build... something for you." She pauses, "But I can't help you search for the important details if you aren't interested in sharing what all those details are." She looks curiously to Hoarfrost, then up to the sky and starts to beckon a bit towards a cloud, now that we're getting a little further from town, as she says, "Oooh, I only know a little bit about anything like that! I'd love to hear more about how you do those... the calling upon the Water Elementals sound particularly fascinating! I mean, not that the other things don't sound great?"
Hoarfrost "I of course would be happy to teach you anything you would like to learn. Perhaps we can exchange knowledge of magic so that we can both expand out repertoire?" The young witch is geeking out having another passionate about magic. Someone who doesn't even seem to mind the odd magical lecture slash tirade "Perhaps we should look for a place to practice or ..." the reason for the visit in the first place comes to mind and she nods again. "Your right of course. About my memories. It will take some time to go over them all. Sometimes it is a bit much even for me to process."
Amethyst There's a lot of supplies strapped the young alchemist's back. And an exasperated face. She mutters things to herself as she goes. It's clear the weight of the supplies is weighing her down just a bit. And the thing about carrying so much is that she's more focused on those supplies than on where she's going. At least, until she's right on top of Hoarfrost and Socket.
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket brightens at that offer. There is approximately nothing that she isn't excited to learn, so the idea of Alchemyst claiming she is willing to teach her anything is certainly more than desirable. "Yes, an exchange sounds fine..." she answers, sort of daydreaming about learning all the things, and then nods, "Yes, we can find a nice spot to practice, to go through some things." She blinks, rather surprised to run into another familiar face, the same alchemist appearing before them, she looks over to Hoarfrost with a bit of bafflement as though asking if she is seeing the same thing.
Hoarfrost "O-oh Amethyst!" A bit surprised at running into another familiar face so quickly. The three of them seemed almost fated to keep meeting. "Its good to see you again." Wondering just how much of the pervious conversation about past lives the woman managed to hear before she noticed. Feeling like she let the beans slip for the second time. "We where going to practice some sorcery ah- That is allot of stuff your carrying are you okie?"
Amethyst "Augh." She tilts backwards and just lets the stuff sit gently on the road. "Hi!" She says between breaths, "It's heavy. But I'm alright. I think. Sorcery? You guys are also sorcerers? I'd love to come with you guys, but first I gotta get these back to my shop." If she did hear anything, she's not commenting on it just yet. Tho those ears of hers are pretty good for listening...
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket looks back to each of them, and nods, "Hi... yes, nice to see you again. Um... well, alright. We were going to be going through and talking about some Sorcery..." She sighs slightly, then... well, the cloud finishes its fall down from the sky to come over to Socket. "Do you know a good spot we could set up where we'd... stop running into people?"
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost leans over even so slightly to peek at the burden Amethyst set down. Curious but polite enough not to ask. "So we are all sorcerers. After the plant lore and Old Realm I suppose I should not be too surprised." Lost like Socket for a moment considering all the various spells they could weave together. The summoned cloud gets some interest from her, "I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Circus Skiff in person before." Excitement rising again. Glancing to Socket. Unspoken words traveling through her body language to the other woman. <Do you think we can trust her with our pervious conversation?>
Amethyst Amethyst looks at the Circus Skiff, "I have so much still to learn about sorcery." And then the girl looks at Hoarfrost, and tilts her head slightly. Her ear twitches. "...That's a pretty interesting set of moves you got there." She narrows her eyes a bit. It's clear she picked up on /something/, but maybe not what. "You were having a conversation before, weren't you?" She especially looks at Socket.
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket smiles to Amethyst, "Yes... of course we were having a conversation." She nods, then adds, "We were discussing Sorcery, she was telling me all about water spirits and things..." She answers with a shrug, then looks back to Hoarfrost, "And she's oddly secretive about a few details, even as she seems to want to inform everyone in the scavenger lands of a few general parts of the conversation." She adds with a laugh.
Hoarfrost "I'm just passionate about these things." Scratching her head a little embarrassed. "Not used to talking about it with folks. You bottle it all up like that something if bound to spill out eventually." She admits with a sigh. "Once we get someplace safe, I'll let you in on the secret I suppose Amethyst you've been helpful so far. Weird sorcery things like this are safer said where we wont spook the other less understanding people?" glancing back to Socket this time without charms. Hoping this isn't spiraling out of control as badly as she feels. She tries to board the cloud assuming that is something that is possible.
Amethyst "Passion will either bring you great heights, or bring you crashing into the ground." Amethyst says almost as if she's reciting a quote from something. She's got a satisified smile on her face. "Actually, finding a safe place to do sorcery that requires a larger area would be very helpful. My workshop is not large enough for most spells. Anyhow." She looks at her back. "Would either of you mind helping me back to my shop?"
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket laughs, a little surprised that Hoarfrost decides to just climb aboard the cloud, but it's certainly a thing she can do, the cloud almost happily accepting its passenger as she looks back to Amethyst, then sighs, and asks the Alchemist, "Did you know a nice spot , since you know this area better where we can get that isolation? I can offer you an easy trip with your pack home and back out to join us?" She gestures to the cloud. She sighs, a little disappointed, "Oh... you don't know... anyplace good around here, either?"
Hoarfrost That quote sound eerily familiar having just poked about in an immaculate text not but a hour or so ago. Brushing it off she nods "I know a place but It is a bit more of a trip." Hoarfrost offers, testing the cloud some before hopping up. Poking and bouncing on the cloud a little. "I always wondered how soft clouds where ." she says idly. Before snapping back to the conversation. "It is a bit out of the way but if this thing is as fast as they say it shouldn't be a big problem. Hope everyone likes the cold."
Amethyst The alchemist gently climbs onto the cloud, making sure that her cargo won't break it or something. And someone might have studied a lot of different immaculate materials, among all of the other books she's read. "Well, that sounds just perfect then. I ought to learn some manner of transportation spell. Fortunately, one of you already knows such a spell." She relaxes with her pack. Yet, she can't help but get the sensation of 'What am I getting myself into'.
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Socket smiles, and says, "Oh... um, it's not that fast. I mean, it's much faster than walking, but unless it is *very* far, horses tend to outpace it handily." She pauses, "It goes at like... maybe a good trot." she shrugs, then smiles, and says, "And... unfortunately... it really just isn't big enough to carry all of us, sorry. But it can take you to your shop and then bring you to us... however far we've made it?" She pauses, then looks to Frosty, "How... far... is wherever you want to go? We can get horses, or perhaps you can ride with me?"
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost guides the group along the Yellow River. Through a small fishing village called Tideshore and into the forest it sets up against. The air is unnaturally cold. After only a few minutes of walking snow covers the ground giving a satisfied crunch under the group's feet. Trees and rivers are frozen in place as they likely have been for hundreds of years. It is a quiet hidden place. The group of sorcerers have no trouble feeling the essence in the air, knowing just want this place is.

Hoarfrost guides the group into a clearing. A few animals scattering as they enter including a wolf larger than a Clydesdale. On the far side a shabby little shack sits against the far tree line "Welcome to the Wintersong Forest." She says with a cheery tone. Breath catching in the air. "I think we will have a most private location to practice here."

Amethyst "Ah." Amethyst stretches out, feeling the essence flows all around her. She breaths deeply and takes it in, and exhales a cloud of her own making. She's wearing a full robe now, and underneath her arms and legs are completely covered in bandages. But she doesn't have any shoes, and this is a most unfortunate problem standing in snow. "It's been way too long since I've been in a place with such... /abundant/ essence." And then after unwrapping her hand she slashes it with a tiny, certainly ritual blade. She lets some of her blood come pouring out and gathering in a pool around her. The /reason/ she has so many bandages becomes much more apparent.
First Socket of the Heavenly Garden "Um... what... are you doing?" Socket asks of Amethyst, rather mystified at her decision to cut at herself and... whatever is going on there. She comments, "Did you somehow take us... to the pole of air?" She shivers there, cold, "Or something... very like it?"
Hoarfrost "Ah Air Aspected Demesne, so your not far off." Hoarfrost doesn't hardly seem bothered by the temperature. She too raises an eyebrow at the cutting "I'm going to assume it is some form of Hemeothurgy?" blood magic is a shot in the dark but they are all sorcerers after all. "So I suppose we all came out here for the magic, but me and Socket where discussing past lives, and perhaps how to unlock pervious memories." Putting the topic out there but with a bit more of a scientific approach this time than the personal one she took with Socket earlier.
Amethyst "Exactly Frost." The Alchemist grins. She takes out a little canister from a pouch. And with just a flick of her wrist, it ignites into a glowing violet-blue light that quickly draws the blood to it. The runes on her arms show through her robe just for a moment, as the light settles down and now there's a whip made from her own blood attached to her wrist. She giggles a little. "I figured I might as well do the one spell I can cast in an instant." She says, bowing just slightly.

And only an instant. When past memories are mentioned, she looks quite interested. "Ah memories. It is said that sometimes when the souls are reborn, some of the memories from the last life are carried with. Although rare, it can be fascinating. But accessing more memories? That requires us to peel back the layers that knit us together. Of course, we are in the midst of a place that could as easily be made a manse as a freehold: the a source of untapped essence, where the dragon lines meet. Perhaps using some of my vision dust with one of my more minor anesthetics, I could make something like that mixture they used when I had to quest against something that I still do not exactly understand, leaving my body behind."

First Socket of the Heavenly Garden Shivering, Socket looks a little further around the demesnse, then looks back... and forth across it, holding out an arm and sort of drawing across the air, as she then hurries over to another spot and draws across the sky, whistling for her cloud, she looks a little about higher, apparently rather distracted by something in this place, then landing again, nodding, "Mmm, yes, that would work..." she nods to herself, then seems to suddenly return to reality and shiver rather more again, this still being the coldest place she has ever been, "That would be... a technique, too. Lots of ways to see what you can see."
Hoarfrost Giving bit of a clap as the sorcery completes and fashions a crimson whip. "Fascinating use of magic. I've never really caught onto a spell that could be used so offensively before." Going up to inspect it a bit, though from a safe distance.

Eyes darting back and forth doing the mental math in her head. "Maybe we need both? The drugs to loosen the mind and sorcery to ply the soul?" using the snow she draws a few runes across the snow and a quick diagram of the dragon lines. "It would be a big help if I had you both to help cast the working. I'm not sure I would have the head for it if I'm drugged."

First Socket of the Heavenly Garden First Socket of the Heavenly Garden says, "I think... perhaps that's not the best idea to get right into? We came out here to go through some Sorcery? I believe there had been talk of elementals?""
Amethyst Amethyst looks at the diagrams, and starts adding a few of her own. "The visions would be fairly intense. I'd know better than anyone." And both of the others surely remember the distracted, drug-addled state they first met Amethyst in. "If we were to do a working, that would be convinent too. If only I had the next set of tattoos. Or maybe the completed set. Then I could just walk into your mind." She shakes her head, and continues to put runes down in spite of Socket. "Here and now no. I need to brew the mixture first. But a way to bring us into the mind of another, that would be convinent on many levels. However, I don't know if that is within the realm of my own ability just yet. I would definitely need your help."

She looks over towards the others. "But yes, for now we came here for a different purpose." Amethyst produces a book that's then held in place by her blood. "We have sorcery to do."

Hoarfrost Hoarfrost glances between the two with a smile, especially as Amethyst begins to add her own runes. "Today? No, but I think we each hold a piece of the larger puzzle to this and are one step closer to achieving it." Taking a moment to commit the equation to memory she takes a few steps back.

"Okie let us all learn a thing or two from one another. I will begin by teaching you how to summon elementals. Then Socket can teach us all a spell and we can continue in a circle till we have shared our knowledge how about that?" Voice clearly holding back her own excitement. Still she seems comfortable teaching. Easily going through the steps for the spell once. Then slower to show where emphasis is important.
