Amethyst Memories and visions and realizations take a toll on the mind and the soul, and rest is good for both. And Amethyst was nestled into her own bed, letting the worries of the day fade with the night. And in time, the morning comes. And in time there's a stirring and then a crash and then more noises, before silence then returns to the house. All the noise came from Amethyst's bedroom, which is just across the hall from the guest bed she offered to Frostie.
Hoarfrost The young witch for her own part has always been an early to wake. Despite the late night she had found herself stirring before the first rays of light touched the horizon. So instead she made he way down and exploring the rest of the house. Finding the kitchen she began cooking something to help ease the soreness from extending spell casting. Smells of fresh bread and cooking meats fill the house by the time Amethyst roles out of bed so to speak.

"You okie up there?" Hoarfrost calls from the bottom of the stairs hearing the loud crash. Thoughts of the Cult making he worry just enough she finds herself moving up the stairs she knocks softly on the door. "Amethyst?"

Amethyst "<Ugh...>" Amethyst replies. "<Why, why that? What was that? A vision of ten thousand dragon-blooded. Flashes of ship against ship. Wonders I have never seen before clashing in an ocean, and I was there working my own forms of magic against them. None of that makes any sense.>" Someone likes speaking in old realm. It does sound natural for her, too. It's clearly not the sort of 'Yes I learned a little bit of how to talk to spirits' old realm some folks know. And at last, she opens the door and there's blood on her and her tattoos are slightly glowing and there's blood orbiting her and someone has her athame in one hand and a bandage in the other. Clearly, someone woke up and didn't quite realize there was no danger to be had.
Hoarfrost "<Your speaking in old realm again.>" Hoarfrost replies in a kind tone. Her own accent eerily similar to Amethyst's. "Your still having visions? I thought I had ended the working last night." Regretful of her own negligence, in confirming the spell had fully run its course. Not seeming to hardly find anything weird with the swirling blood. Placing a hand on Amethysts' she meets eyes with her. "Its okie its all over. I have breakfast ready if your feeling up to eating. With the blood loss it might be a good idea"
Amethyst "I don't understand it." Amethyst says to herself. "I made sure to isolate myself from the memories I tapped into. And I have to be fairly close to the subject /and/ touching them to begin the process. There's no way the memory glyph is responsible for this." Amethyst rubs her temples. And then she goes over and grabs some notes filled with various sorcery things, and she starts looking it over. "Food would be nice." She says, heading downstairs with the notes and semi-reading them as she goes.

She says, heading downstairs with the notes and semi-reading them as she goes.
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost follows after Amethyst almost dutifully splitting off only when they get to the kitchen. Quickly going to check on the status of everything to make sure it is not burned "I hope you like your eggs over hard." she says as she starts to put two eggs onto a thick piece of fresh bread and flanked by a few bits of bacon. Setting it on the table where there is the least amount of notes spread out. "I believe," The pale witch says in a slightly diplomatic tone. "That you are accessing your own memories of a past life, through my memories." Letting the implications of the two past lives intersecting hang in the air for Amethyst to grab herself. Busying herself with gathering her own food. Her bread coming out of the oven a bit well done though smelling of honey.
Amethyst "I'm not fussy about my eggs." Amethyst says. She's deep into a rabbit hole while analyzing her own notes when Frost mentions the possibility of those memories belonging to Amethyst herself. And that makes her pause, flip a page, and start doodling. And then she frowns. "My own memories..." She mutters, almost in a 'Oh shit I shouldn't have' tone rather than a 'Oh I have memories' tone.
Hoarfrost Setting down with her platter of honey toasted bread a single egg and a few strips of bacon. Eating without bothering with fork or knife. Both attacking and savoring her food in a way that makes for rather odd table manners. "That is worry some?" licking a bit of egg from her thumb. "Or is it the implication of having a strong tie with your past lives, that implies a larger issue.?" Curious where the young alchemist's mind is going.
Amethyst Amethyst grabs her hand and doesn't touch her food yet. And she just says, "I never got over it. Not in all of these years since I was her. I forgot, until now. There was always a reason that my mom didn't want me diving into my own memories. I guess this is the reason." She sighs, and pokes an egg with a fork. She's a little more civilized, tho she's a little too caught up with herself to care much for Frost's tablemanners
Hoarfrost Shifting a bit in her seat, the motion continuing up over her half hunch over her food. "Your Mom knew?" that seems to strike her as particularly odd. Even the implications of what Amethyst is, Aurora was, makes the family angel more complex to Hoarfrost. A part of her is weirdly hungry to know. The other part, the more present part, is more polite than to ask. "You really should eat ... its harder to think when your blood is outside you." Taking another large much of her eggy toast.
Amethyst "...I can't pretend to understand exactly what's going on. But she seemed to have a deeper understanding of things than she lead me to believe." Amethyst says, eating some more of her food. "You'd have to ask her. And, again, she's miles and miles beneath the ocean. I can't even breath underwater anymore." Amethyst takes a hand to one of the gill slits on her neck, and sighs.
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost's food is already gone, her plate clean in the moments between conversation, with the dedication to the task that implies food has not always been bountiful for the young woman. "I know you may not care for me to try. I can help you with your gills ... lots of things really. Shifting in hear seat a bit almost as if exited to offer but is trying not to sound like a crazy Anathema. "If you want to go have a word with her. The answers are in your past as well of course, but what I saw. There are big implications Amethyst."
Amethyst Amethyst eats like she's never gone hungry once in her life. But she finishes her plate too. And then there's this sparkle in her eyes, "You, really could help me with my gills? Or, lack there of." She seems hopeful, and she nods at the mention of her past. "...And I think it's inevitable, that I face whatever is in my past as her. As Aurora." Amethyst's ears aren't sure what emotion to display, they sorta hover between being slightly up and slightly down, each moving independantly. There's a lot of emotions in this girl.
Hoarfrost "I can. With careful applications of my medical skill and my essence I can impart small changes. Wings, claws, gills." Half miming little interpretations of wings, claws and gills as she says them. "I'm always want to try new ways of using it. So far its only been to help animals adapt to a new area I move them too." Looking a little embarrassed for being so exited by the idea "Part of me has wanted to see how far I could push it but that seems ... unwise ..." chuckling at the absurdity of the idea itself. Crossing her arms in front of her and resting her head, looking up at the girl across the table. Watching the emotions not just across her face but how her ears as well. "Well its my past too. Perhaps we should work on this together? I could go with you ... if you wanted?"
Amethyst "If I didn't fear looking like a wyld mutant, I, may not be opposed to seeing what you could do." Amethyst says, giggling a little. "It feels, almost familiar, you weaving things into my form. And you are in my memories as well, right? It'd make sense if we'd tackle them together." Her ears finally settle into a slight upright position and her face gains this gentle smile. She closes her eyes and breaths, a breath that conveys a pretty simple thought: Things are going to be alright.
Hoarfrost Something about that sparks a little hope, or maybe just a familiar feeling as well. It at least draws out a warm smile from Hoarfrost. "It does, doesn't it?" she takes a deep breath and sighs almost mirroring Amethyst. The nostalgia still sticking to her and it feels weirdly comfortable. "What do you remember about me, her? ... Eos." She says at last. "Being her in the memory was ... well she was very different from me. That was the first time I was ever in a human form other than my own. You would think I would used to being something else."
Amethyst "Pragmatic." Amethyst says. Her tattos come back to life, almost as tho they expected this. She focuses, the memory glyph especially glowing. As she reopens her eyes, they glow just slightly. And she begins to explain, in old realm of course. "<You were a strong woman. The head of the wyld research labatory. There was more in this city than just this one lab, but that lab was one of the most prominent features of it. And you had a vision, a vision of the wyld uniting with the earth, of the creation and the fae merging, and, you found a fae that was willing to go through with this process.>"

"<That's important, for the rest of the humans and fae you disposed of in your work, tho you gained useful research, none of them would ever had truly made for a good first. And that's when I came in. I still remember my very being falling apart and being released, vaporized in an instant, and then waking up in a new body. And I remember those visions... You fought till your last, leveraged every ability you had, did everything you possibly could to defend your home, to defend us, to defend our city. But in the end, it was not enough, and we all fell. And I hadn't seen you since, Eos.>" Amethyst gets up, and walks over to Frost. "<How much we've both changed since that day you gave me a soul. Since that day you created the very first...>" She squints, as tho trying to remember.

Hoarfrost What ever Hoarfrost expected from the question this was not it. Sitting up from her reclined position against the table a little straighter with every word. The hair on her arms standing on end a wave of goosebumps causing her to shiver. A distant hollow look in her crimson eyes. It is allot to process. Especially when the words are sparking her own memory.

Images of the lab. Strange lighting casting shadows of the large glass tubes going floor to ceiling. Some holding bodies, others more imhuman shapes, limbs where there should be none yet others some how holding unbound chaos within. Smells of chemicals she has no idea their purpose. A drive to bring it to, maybe not order, but to blend the infinitude of the Wyld into creation and vice versa. Its terrifying yet somehow, she can't help but be fascinated.

"<Sanskara.>" her voice lacks the softness to in. Harder and more confident sounding strange coming from the little witch. The smile on her face less warm but tied with a strange animal attraction. "<You helped me come up with it I believe. Once you learned your voice. You have grown so much>"

There is a small squeak of surprise as for the first time Hoafrost realizes for the first time she is speaking and it's not her voice. Not being controlled exactly but not behaving like herself. Hand clasped against her mouth she squeaks again "Whats happening to us?"

Amethyst "<It was an honor. And always has been.>" Amethyst bows for a moment, but then she is startled back to herself by the squeak. Her runes dim and she just hugs Frosty. "I don't know. I get the feeling both of us have old problems to resolve. We should be careful with this power I've been given. I think." And she goes over and points at some particular bit of her scribbles. "It's like this. The Memory Glyph works by allowing us to live the memories of others. There's a line of reason in here, that maybe since we have intense connections with our past, it's amplifying them and overwhelming us."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost hugs tightly, the pounding of her heart betting away between them. Reluctantly pulling herself away a little to look at the notes. Mind chewing on the actual arithmetic of the issue she is slowly able to quiet herself away from panic. "D-does that mean that the emotions we feel for each other aren't ours? It's a product of the ... memories?" she realizes how close she is to Amethyst all of a sudden and blushes a little. "I mean I feel like I know you forever all of a sudden and we just met like a few weeks ago..."
Amethyst "They are sort of 'our' feelings, just, not the us here, and now. Feelings from long, long ago. Maybe we should hold off on diving deeper into our memories until we actually know eachother here and now a little bit better. Lest we get lost beneath the waves of something old." Amethyst explains. The alchemist's own heart is beating quickly, as she digests what it is she's implying through all of this. "Maybe we should just go relax for a while and try not to think about Aurora and Eos."
Hoarfrost "Take it slow." Hoarfrost reaffirms. Sometimes its easy to forget your nor so invulnerable when your exalted. Eagerness to learn about the past has not been so easy to process and perhaps lead to even more uncertainty. "New topic then?" more nervous than her usual cheery tones. The look in her eyes says she has no idea what to talk about. The elephant in the room and the new dynamic a bit strange to her. "Maybe a change of scenery?"
Amethyst "Take it slow." Amethyst nods. She rubs her forehead, and then her face. "New topic, new scenery, why don't we head outside? As much as I love my alchemy shop, I think I need to get out and just... not worry about things." And Frostie you can see that there's all sorts of stuff just sprawled everywhere on her worktable. She's been hard at work on a whole number of things, and she could do for some relaxing.
Hoarfrost "Outside is good." The little witch intones. Not realizing how cooped up she felt. Glancing at all the projects as she makes her way out of the building. Curiously adding a few things to her list of what is going on in her new friends' life as she heads out the door. Taking a deep breath of air as she crosses the threshold. "Next time you visit my forest I should introduce you to some of my friends ... I mean they are all animals of some kind but they are really rather nice." Half spinning on her heal to walk backwards as she talks.
Amethyst Amethyst forgoes her usual wrappings. Being around Frostie makes her feel just a little more comfortable with things, and she has plans on getting her feet wet. It's been entirely too long since she's swam in the rivers that gave Great Forks one of its name. As such she's also taking minimal supplies with her, lest they go missing or get wet. If they wanna steal a half pouch of firedust and the volatile alchemical canisters she uses for casting, they might be her guest.

"It feels weird walking around with my wrappings." She muses, her finned feet flexing finely from following the footpath.

Hoarfrost Hoarfrost smiles from her backwards walking position, looking at the un-wrapped Amethyst. "I think its pretty." Happy she feels comfortable enough to show them out and about. "I know why you wrap I guess ... just kinda sad you have to." Turning as Amethyst catches up to walk along side. Letting her lead the way since she seems to have a place in mind to go. "Wish we could all just be what we wanted openly and freely." A bit of a dreamy tone to her voice.
Amethyst "Yeah. I'm lucky that I more look like a spirit than a mutant, but it still is good to obscure the things that I'm willing to." Pointy ears twitch as Amethyst clearly indicates that she wouldn't hide her ears. "Back in Champoor tho I'd be more likely to be thought of as a mutant. All 'cause folks think that wyld mutations are contagious. Although strictly speaking, I do know enough about sorcery to give and remove mutations. But that requires one actually be willing, and a lot of effort to figure out the exact procedure."

"Maybe one day we'll find somewhere where we can just /be/ without being judged for being what we are. Or maybe, we'll /make/ somewhere." Amethyst grins. "I have little power now, I don't have connections yet, but give it a year, and I will have found ways to start to coordinate efforts. Especially if Socket's as good as making things as she's claimed."

Hoarfrost "You have traveled allot more than me. I've only read or heard stories of these places" Seeming more than a little impressed by her stories of places afar. "I wonder from time to time but most avoid the populated places. I the wilds and forests no one really cares what you are. Human, unicorn, pretty fish lady ." giving a little wink as the come to the banks of the water. Taking a deep breath of the fresh air moving over the river."I'm all for making a place all creatures are welcome. That sounds like something worth making."
Amethyst Amethyst makes a noise when she's called a pretty fish lady, and turns a single shade redder and her ears tense upward and back. "Y-yeah. I've not been in the wilds much myself. And I haven't gone /that/ far. Only through the southeast, to the dreaming sea, here, and nexus. Maybe one day I'll visit Lookshy."

Amethyst also breaths in the smell of the running water, and creeps down towards its edge, ears lowered. How much she wants to just jump into the current, to embrace what is her birthright, from both sides of her family, really. But she tempers herself, and sits down for now.

Hoarfrost A similar urge to be herself, turn into something and just relax for a while. Hoarfrost hesitates a moment and sets down herself on the edge of the water. Boots off and dangling her feet off into the current below. "I thought you where going to jump in there for a moment." Setting her hands into her lap and looking up to the sky.

"Lookshy?" she tilts her head "They always struck me as militant to outsiders? Is your family from there?" to herself the closer one gets to the realm the worse things get.

Amethyst "Not exactly. It's more..." And Amethyst seems to have trouble finding her words. "I can't imagine them being that different from the culture my father raised me with. Tho it is no Realm satrapy. Neither was Champoor for that matter. Oh father, why did you run so far away?" Amethyst sighs. Why does Amethyst /want/ to have something to do with the realm? There must be a missing piece here.
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost is quiet for a time. Kicking her feat in the water slowly. "Your travels never took you to the Realm?" musing aloud already mostly guessing the answer. "I've heard stories. Its not a place that would take kind to you or me, if you get my implication." Wanting to let her down a little easy. If she even tried to go she has no idea what would happen to the poor fae blooded. "I imagine it was to protect you to some degree."
Amethyst Amethyst sighs. A cold knot in her heart. She does know exactly why her father never took her to the realm. "...Champoor was just a better place for us. My mother could come and go as she pleased, with direct access to the Dreaming Sea. And my father could go off on his own little journeys." There's still something more to it, but it seems that Amethyst isn't sharing whatever that something is.

"I've read more about the Realm than I rightfully should have. I've always dreamed of going there, to the Blessed Isle itself, to see what wonders it might hold. But I know better. The weird treatment I get here would just be doubled, and I'd be in for an awful, and rough time unless by some miracle I draw my second breath. Even then, I would be an outcaste. One familiar with the culture and the way of life," and she speaks something in high realm, "but still." Amethyst sighs. The little fae-blood hasn't yet given up hope that the blood of the dragons will awaken somewhere in her veins. But it's clear it's not a very strong hope.

Hoarfrost Hoarfrost has a confused look like she doesn't much understand the reasoning, though she still offers a supportive hand placed over Amethyst's. "I'm not sure what could be there that could cause you such heart break to miss, but I'm sorry you miss it all the same." Turning her head back to the water she gives a nod. "If its that important maybe we should go, sneak past all their guards and see it out of spite." With a laugh she stands and strips a few layers of clothes so she is down to just the most simple of modesties. Without any preamble she hops into the cool waters. Long white hair pooling over the surface all around her. Laying back to float she fights the current enough to just float in place. A big smile on her face wondering if she will follow her in.
Amethyst "Maybe one day I'll tell you that story." Amethyst smiles. She also strips down, leaving her tunic to the side. You see her consider whether or not she wants to shed the last garment. But then she remembers she's with friends and most folks are weirded out by nudity, so she decides to just jump in with just her undergarment. And boy is she a natural in the water .You can see it in her face and her ears how much she enjoys being in the water, giggling as she returns a smile.
