Silk Moon Lotus The Iron Monkey is a large gambling parlor full of different games of chance. A set of four booths sit near the front where visitors can place bets on the day's fights in the arena. Many tables throughout the place have different games going with cards, tiles, and even small stones.
The smoke in the room has created a light haze making it hard for people to pick out details at a distance. At the back of the room are three tables with well dressed men and women surrounded by onlookers. The murmurs coming from the watches drowning out any noise from the tables.
Amethyst A well dressed lady, wearing a silken white tunic with violet trims, with a blue, long-sleaved shirt underneath that matches her pants. Completing her outfit are leather boots and hand wraps. She definitely wasn't dressed this well last time Silk saw her. And tho her ears are distinctive... mutant, far more distinctive are her aspect markings: This, is a child of Danaa'd. And tonight she's looking for someone in particular.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk glances at her cards and frowns. Her luck has been every good. The stack of jade in front of her is enough to last an average person a year. She looks at the other players at the table. They are all hard faced and well known in the city. Several a prominent business men. The one that Silk has targeted for her prey tonight is the owner of the Iron Monkey, Sings of Summer in the Rain.
Amethyst Amethyst, for her part, doesn't look particularly fitting for this establishment. Tho her clothing is of higher standard - and of course it is, she's a Dragon - she still has all of her usual alchemical things with her. And the trouble with being a Chosen, is that she grabs attention. And it's only after eyes are on her that she dons her goggles, and straightening back her ears so that her expression is... slightly less readable, but still they react. It's instictive! Happy ears go up, sad ears go down, and scared ears go back, alert ears flare out.

Oh and the someone she's looking for is dealing with some fairly prominent folks. And she doesn't even have her alchemy shop right now. These are the sorts of folks she might have been able to make a deal with, but how would she do that in these circumstances? .o 0 (Oh Danaa'd, you'd have me blend, go right into their game and lose. 'xcept I don't even have jade. A Dragon who deals in silver. I must be the poorest Dragon I've ever met) Scared ears go back.

Silk Moon Lotus Sings looks at Silk "You have played well this day and I have run out of money at the table. Allow me this chance to play this last round." Silk nods her head saying "It would be rude not to allow you to play at your own table. What do you offer?"
Sings pulls a Moonsilver amulet out of his shirt "I have this." He takes it off and tosses it on the table.
Silk says "I will call your bet" she pushes all of her winnings for the night into the middle of the table. "Let us see how this ends, shall we?"
Sings flips ove his cards showing a full run of Immaculates. "I believe the game is mine." Sings stands up and reaches towards the pile in the middle. &R Silk smiles at him "Normally yes, you would but I believe the five dragons beats the immaculates." Silk flips over her cards showing all five dragons, the rarest of hands. Sings looks down at the cards in shock. "You have bested me at my own table. I ask you leave for the night but give me a chance to win back my amulet another day."
Amethyst Amethyst lingers, not really going anywhere and just sorta awkwardly standin. She stays just long enough for Silk to get a glance at her, before quickly making her exit and getting away from the gambling place. She didn't realize just how... ill suited she is for places outside of her lab or her shop. Even in her shop, the shop part of the shop was always her least favorite. Instead she'd always secluded herself away.

That'll need to change. But not here and now.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk collects her winnings from the table placing them into a pouch on her hip. She picks up the amulet and can feel the hum only something endowed with essence would carry. "Of course Master Sings. I would be happy to play you again when you are ready." She bows to him and turns towards the front of the parlor.
Through the smokey haze, Silk sees a familiar outline just as they turn and walk back outside. Unsure as to why Amethyst would be in a gambling parlor, Silk quickly excuses herself with the others and heads outside for some fresh are and hopefully a conversation with the young dragon.
Amethyst As soon as Silk joins Amethyst, the young alchemist breaths a sigh of relief. "<>" She says in high realm. "<<And tho I'm used to folks paying mind to me, I'm still getting used to the extra attention.>>" She breaths, and then giggles. "<<It looks like you took home the big one tho.>>" Why is she speaking in High Realm? Only she knows.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk matches pass with Amethyst as they walk away from the Iron Monkey. "<<Indeed I did better than I had hoped for.>>" she replies in High Realm. "<>" Silk smiles up at her friend. "<<What has caused you to seek me out?>>
Amethyst "<<I'll have to try that sometime. And, maybe we oughta find a place where we can meet more in private.>>" Amethyst glances upwards towards the rooftops, her ears briefly search, and when they don't find anything, she looks back to her friend. "<<But I had a plan, and I heard you're fairly good at these sorts of things.>>"
Silk Moon Lotus "<<Ah, you want somewhere to speak in private? I know of a place just up the road. A small tavern with good food and private rooms for rent.>> Silk points to a building with crossed spears on the sign. Underneath is says The Crossed Spears. "<<The owner is a friend of mine.>>"
Amethyst Amethyst gives a nod, and lets Silk lead the way. "<<After you. I could use some food.>>" She is quite thankful that her shop wasn't suggested, or mentioned.
Silk Moon Lotus The interior of the Cross Spears is nicely appointed for a tavern near the arena. Only a few partons sit around the room. Behind the bar stands a mountain of a man clearing seven feet tall with skin as dark as night. He smiles broadly as Amethyst and Silk enter. "Welcome back princess!" His accent marks him clearly as coming from Urim. &R&R Silk smiles up at him. "Always with the jokes Deacon. We need to use the back room please." Deacon motions to a door next to the bar "Of course your grace. You know the rules." Silk pulls out a small jade piece and tosses it to him. "Food and drink if you please." Deacon nods as they head into the room. &R&R through the door is a plain room with a round table and 5 chairs. A door at the back of the room is the only other way out. Once Silk closes the door, sigils places on the doors and walls brighten. The sigils are of silence and protection from distance viewing. "Will this do?"
Amethyst The Dragon looks impressed and surprised. And she nods. "Yeah, this'll be fine." She says. "Some time ago when I was hunting for the sorrowthorn, I was suddenly and tiringly reminded of something common to many of the Immaculate books I've studied, and the words, 'Do not try to approach, instead, alert a monk'. No actual advice on how to handle that which is 'dangerous', only in service of fitting peasants into their perfected heirarchy." Their. Not 'the', not 'our', but 'their'. Someone's clearly had some changes of heart in regards to the Immaculate Philosophy. "And I want to know what the texts meant only for the monks themselves, and the Dragons, say."

And that's when the alchemist grins. "Perhaps truths to the Philosophy that aren't taught? Or perhaps more nonsense. But in a place with such scrolls, there would also be manuscripts on martial arts. Short of being shipped off to the 'Isle to be brainwas-I mean, /trained/, I doubt I'll get so lucky as to have a chance to lay my eyes on such arts. And I'm sure that they would sell for a pretty penny." There's something more... feral in Amethyst's eyes than before. What exatly has the young exalt been up to?

Silk Moon Lotus Two solid knocks strike the door to the room before opening quickly. A young girl brings in two plates, one with sliced meat, the other with sliced fruits and vegetables. She sets them on the table and darts back out. She returns a moment later with two tankards and places them on the table as well. She exits once more having completed her tasks.
Silk looks at Amethyst "So, if I'm understanding you correctly, you want to break into an Immaculate monestary and steal the texts from them? You do know that this will be incredibly dangerous, yes?"
Amethyst "Incredibly so. I'm sure that they would want retribution." Amethyst says, eating one of the fruits. She muses on her thoughts, of the dragons and all the things that have happened in the weeks following her taking her second breath. "I would understand if you would rather not. I might be having second thoughts myself. It is a pretty risky endevour."
Silk Moon Lotus Silk takes a slice of meat and eats it chewing slowly. "Since my second breath, I have considered ways to repay the order for the lies they feed the masses with." She takes a deep breath "I am not a monster, though they name me one. I would gladly help you in getting whatever texts you want. I may take a few for myself." She smiles at the thought of exacting revenge on the priests.
She pulls out a couple of pieces of rolled up paper from a tube. "Do you have any ink and something to write with? I only have charcoal."
Amethyst Of course the alchemist has ink on her person. She produces a little box from her bag, in it, lies a glass pen with imagery depicting Danaa'd herself wrapped up along the coils, her mouth fading into the signature swirld design of all glass pens. Amethyst grins. "The texts are wrong." She says simply, producing a bottle of blue ink. It smells of something fruity as she opens it. "Danaa'd lives in all of us Dragons, as do they all. But not as is taught by the Order or their equivalent in Lookshy. I can feel Danaa'd and Her intention, to bring forth the truth behind them and to shatter the Order's tyrannical grip on this knowledge. It is her way, to change and bend and flow. Once I called you Anathema."

"But now I've realized we are all Chosen. And it was not always this way, Dragons put against the Sun and the Moon. I can only wonder what happened to change things. And of course, history is written by the victor, and so the Immaculate Dragons were reduced to champions who each played a part in the rebellion, and ideals. But they are so much more than that. I can feel it in my blood."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk wipes away the tears that had started to form in her eyes. This is no time to cry! "I do not claim to understand the will of Danaa'd. I am decended from Pasiap myself, I was not chosen by him though. The Sun claimed me a few years after the priests decided I would never exalt and I was only good for breeding." Silk takes a deep breath "I don't know where the nearest monestary is located, do you?
Amethyst "It's funny, since I exalted only months before I turn twenty." Amethyst muses, chuckling to herself. It's an embarrased sort of chuckle. "I'd honestly already made peace that I would never be a Dragon." Bowing her head just slightly, locking her hands together and closing her eyes as she does when she wants to pray. But it is only brief. "<<Oh Danaa'd, I will do as I can with the gift you've given me. And for the gift, I am eternally grateful.>>" She opens her eyes and smiles at her friend.

"It sounds like both of us have a lot to be gained by ransacking. The nearest one is actually Lookshian. But I might want vengeance against the empire that cast my entire family out into the cold, stricken from Pelep's ledgers. How things might had been different had I been born into that House. And once I wished for it." And then she shrugs. "I find my family with you 'Anathema'."

Silk Moon Lotus "A Lookshian monestary may be less well guarded. This does have merit." Silk thinks about this option for a few moments. "We will need more resources than just the two of us. A distraction would help as well. Perhaps draw some of them away from the monestary."
"No one has dared to call me family since my second breath, thank you." Silk wipes another tear away from her eye. "I am one of the Night Caste" Silk concentrates for a moment and the golden hollow circle appears upon her brow. "I trust you with my life this day." A few seconds later, the mark vanishes again.
Amethyst "I also have a Changing Moon as part of this. And Lookshy does not take its religion nearly as seriously as the Realm does. It's obvious from the way their texts differ. The Immaculate Order claims us Dragons are above everyone. Whereas Lookshian Immaculate Faith claims us all as equals. And there is no big central authority behind it." She sighs a little, one day the Realm will get its dues. "It won't be /easy/ but I do think it would be /easier/. So long as our faces aren't remembered, we should be fine." How much easier it would be if they all could shapeshift like the Lunars can.

And Amethyst grows suddenly more serious as Silk reveals her caste mark to her. She gently reaches out, and places a hand on her shoulder. And she is silent. Tho she would like to say something profound, she has no words, instead, she is awestruck, and can only repeat it. "Night Caste." This might be the first time she's that term as opposed to the Wretched.

Rishi There's a another two solid knocks at the door and the girl comes in again, passes Silk a note, and scurries back out. The note says "There's a hot southern woman in a leather cloak out here looking for your friend. She's being very persistent. What should we do about her?"
Silk Moon Lotus Silk passes the note over to Amethyst "I can't say that I recognize who that might be, do you have any ideas? We should check it out anyway as they know we are here." Silk stands up and heads out of the room to find out who found them and if she needs a new place to do her planning.
Amethyst Amethyst blinks, and looks at Silk. She considers, and shakes her head. "I haven't the slightest clue." She gets up and dusts herself off, checks her various pockets, looks between a few different silver canisters, then slips them all back into her pocket just to dramatically sleight-of-hand one into her palm. Just in case. Her ears are slightly back and down, uncertainty in the air as she follows.
Rishi Out in the main area of the tavern, a tall woman with long dark hair, held back by a tiara of vines, and the ochre skin of a southerner is at the bar, looking defiantly at the massive bartender. While her leather cloak hides most of the rest of her torso, the tight silken knee pants show off her very significant curves.
At the sound of the door, she looks over in your direction and her expression of defiance melts into one of relief and, for a moment, it almost looks like Ammy is going to be tackled. Instead she is swept up into a big hug. "Ah! It is most wonderful that I have found you! I went to your store and ...I became most concerned at what I found there! Frosty was too nervious to tell much, so we searched and found our sister! It is most wonderful!" Between the liquid honey in the voice and the honestly ridicluous accent, there really is only one person this could be. ...Wait, did she say Frosty was here somewhere?
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost peeks out from behind Rishi at the mention of her name. Almost as if she was hiding in the other's shadow. Hair a little frazzled and eyes still a little dilated. From the worried expression on her face she is just coming down from some kind of panic attack. Not surprising the witch does not have a good track record with crowds. "S-sorry Amie I knew you said you would get back but it was getting late ... thought something m-might have happened." Looking a little bashful seeing that everything is clearly okie and very much looking relieved.
Silk Moon Lotus Seeing Frosty and Rishi, the tension in Silk's shoulders melts away. Her friends are not cause for alarm. "Will both of your please join us inside?" It comes out sounding like a request but really has the iron behind it of an order. Silk pulls out a jade piece for her pouch and tosses it to Deacon. "Sorry for the trouble. A couple more drinks for my friends please?" Silk grabs them from him once the tankards are filled. She turns and walks back into the room with quick measured steps.
Amethyst It's fortunate that the Dragon is part water! She's fluidly swooped and in the same motion she squirms. After realizing who it is, she does hugs, but the liquid dragon cannot be held when Frosty's name is mentioned. She spills over Rishi onto other Lunar and just sorta clings to her and nudges her head against hers. "It's alright~" Landing on her feet in a very unnatural way, as tho solidifying on the ground, Amethyst giggles and starts back towards the room.
Rishi Once back in the other room, Rishi stretches, her cloak unfurling into wings, her fingers sprouting claws, ears extending into points, legs and feet turning back into her large taloned paws, tail snaking down behind her "Ahhhhh! I most dislike having to do that. It is like wearing the too small clothing." ...Given that everything she's currently wearing looks painted on...
Her eyes brighten as she sees the trays of food. Delicately grabbing a fruit slice with her claws, she gestures at Ammy with it. "Now. Whyfore is there a pile of ash where your most amazing shop should be?" before popping the slice in her mouth.
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost waves to Silk, "Your okie! When you missed the meeting we had feared ... well ... it is good you are alright." Seeing Amethyst she happily returns the hug. The Dragon can practically feel the Lunar unwind as her muscles relax knowing everything is alright. Following after the group she takes a seat. Picking at the food plate collecting a few of her favorite nuts and a fruit or two. "Sorry I forget to mention that while I was ah- well. Amethyst?" offering to let her tell the tale.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk closes the door quickly and the glyphs around the room light up once again. "I would ask how you found us but from what I can tell the wards do nothing for smell and I know Frosty can become a fox and who knows what else." She relaxes a bit more. "Sorry about that Frosty, I spotted Ame after my lastest win and knew she wasn't in the right area so we came over here to talk. I won that amulet I told you Sings wears, did you want to take a look at it?" Silk pulls out a moonsilver amulet from a pouch on her hip and sets it on the table.
Amethyst Amethyst takes a seat, grabs more fruit and rubs her head. "Sorry about that. I didn't know you already had a thing." She apologizes to Silk and Frost. And then, uh, she looks at Rishi. Scared ears go back.

"Uh well, let's say it was an accident. I'm alright, but uh, I need to get a new shop. Or get someone to summon something for me to build me a new one on the ashes. Not that it's in the best of places, but it is where folks would've recognized me. And maybe one made out of stone that can withstand my anima and make it look less like I'm slowly erode canyons into my furniture."

"Do either of you have trouble with your anima like that? Or is that unique to the Dragons?"

Rishi Rishi tilts her head ...then pouts. "You do not wish to tell me the story? Hmph. Fine." Her head tilts the other way, her silken hair sliding smoothly over her shoulders. "I could summon the Hopping Puppeteer, but you would need to have already the stone blocks for the rebuilding and we might, as you say, 'creep out the peoples.' A Decanthrope might be more of the use for the labor of the physical as they are more of the subtle."
She gives Ammy a half lidded expression. "But then that is something to be discussed later, after you have told me of the story of the burning down of your shop. As you are well, my sister, and you are busy, perhaps I am not needed here?"
Hoarfrost The pale witch takes the offered amulet in her right hand while she nibbles the snacks with the left. Turning it over once, twice. Feeling the weight of it and how the metal resonates in her hands. A soft smile spreads over her face she always had a fondness for the stuff but rarely gets to see it in quantity. "Well I know you could tattoo many young Lunars with this much Moonsilver." Setting it on the table she traces her fingures over the markings on it. "It depicts Luna and her many aspects. It looks to be crafted ... about a decade ago based on this inscription here. I imagine it was made by a Lunar given that info." Not one good at hiding her feelings, she clearly wants this mysterious thing but has no reason to ask for such a rare and treasured thing as this.

Turning to Amethyst she shakes her head. "No nothing like the Dragons. It does have the side effect of bringing those hunting us as its visible for miles most often." Letting her know there is still a nasty side effect. Glancing over to Rishi then the Amethyst feeling the bit of tension. "But we just got here ..." holding up the amulet "Here take a look, maybe you know more?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk glances a the amulet "So it's some kind of Lunar taliman?" She looks to Rishi "I didn't know you were a sorcerer or I would have offered to let you look at it as well. Please take a look." Silk closes her eyes for a moment and thinks. "Ame and I are thinking about visiting an Immaculate monestary and "borrowing" some books from them on a permanent basis. Would eitehr of you be able to assist with this plan? Like putting people to sleep or melting walls?"
Silk looks over a Amethyst "Grandfather spoke of his power shifting with his emotions. My anima does not do this. If anything it attempts to conceal me anytime I think about it. I have heard listening to grandfather talk of his exploits, the Dragons are very akin to their element."
Amethyst Amethyst sighs a long sigh. "It's not my proudest moment that I burned down my own shop." Sad ears go down. "I, did something really mean and stupid to Frosty, and I had it in my head that I would go and atone for it. And to ensure I would have nowhere left to return, no home to go back to, I surrounded it with firedust and lit the charge. This was... what, 3 weeks ago?" Amethst glances at the ceiling, as tho trying to see the stars and read them to figure out how long ago it was. "Not even a week since I took my second breath." She rests her head on the table. "I had no idea that so many people would ask me about it." One can hear the tiredness in her voice of having to tell her failings over and over and over again.

"Yeah. We steal from some Lookshian monastary. You want in?" She doesn't take her head off the table.

Rishi Rishi gives Frosty a look, as though checking to see that she is truely alright with Ammy, before putting a comforting hand upon Ammy's shoulder. "I'm sorry. I will help you rebuild it." for once, her degree of artifice is entirely gone, as she pulls Ammy into another hug.
Rishi tilts her head. "Hurm. The Followers of the Northern Pure Way are most dangerous, are they not? You are sure they will not simply...allow you to look at these texts?" She delicately grabs another piece of fruit and eats it slowly, thinking. "I can turn into a mouse, I am a very skilled healer, I could summon a demon for you.... I am not very skilled with the sneakery, so I am not sure of what help I may be, but," she smiles at Ammy, "for my sister I shall do much."

Rishi takes the amulet and starts exmaining it closely.
Hoarfrost "Yes! Two masters of the occult at your service." The witch says through a bite of apple and giving a little mock bow. "We have been trading secrets and spells it has been very nice to have Rishi and Amethyst to bounce sorcery ideas off of." There is an energy, a passion shining through the normally shy woman.

She catches the look from Rishi. Being the easy book to read she is there is clearly still a hint of hurt there the wound is still new after all but she gives a little nod confirming It is okie. That she is okie, now. "I-could help? Like Rishi my subtly only goes far enough to make sure I am not caught. I will do my best to help though. My magic could help with illusions or perhaps cover your escape with sleep."

Silk Moon Lotus "Can you summon a demon that will smash through walls or cause chaos somehow?" Silk shivers an remembering the last demon she interacted with. "I think I remember a way to just walk in and no one will question me as long as I don't do anything out of the ordinary. I can also disguise myself to look more like an immaculate priest." Silk thinks about the plan some more "I think we can do this. How small can you two get? Ame, you said something about another Lunar, right?"
Amethyst Amethyst gets herself back together, and sighs, returning the hug. Whatever she did it clearly left its mark on her as much as it did Frosty. "I mean, I don't actually know very much about how the Lookshian faith is structured. I have a detailed book on the blessed isle, but precious little on the 7th legion. But there's still the basic fact that I know that the other Chosen are not automatically evil." Amethyst is definitely not sure about her little heist idea anymore. She /was/ so sure of it, but only when she was entirely too high off of essence fever. Now that she's had some sort of chance to get herself under control, she doesn't seem as willing.

"I did. Spring Wind had also volunteered to help. What's your thoughts?" Amethyst asks.

Rishi Rishi squints hard at the amulet, looking it over from many different angles, before experimentally sniffing then licking it. "Hrm. Frosty, I think that this was only modified a decade ago. There is ancient leaf matter here, caught in these cracks. And these symbols for the Ever Shifting One seem...most ancient. It might well be most wondrous an item...but it needs the stone of the hearth, produced by places such as your forest, Frosty."
Rishi brightens "Ah! I can be helpful with your disguise! The Monks do not have the hair, yes? I can remove all of it from you, then put it back when we are done." she nods, clearly pleased with her idea.

"You wish to know how small I may become?" Rishi thinks for a moment, then twirls, shrinking, and after a few moments there is just a rather cute mouse with a fancy patterned coat and somewhat furry tail.
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost tilts her head and considers for a moment. The list of creatures she can take the form of is not a very long list. "I can become a weasel. Sadly I am rather limited in my color pallet." Playing with her long white hair a little idly indicating that the paleness of her form might me more than just a simple genetic affect.

Raising her eyebrows and squinting a bit in the light she gives a slow nod. "Ah how could I have missed it!" face lighting up, "Do you know what this means? It could be first age! I mean perhaps that is a bit premature but ..." giving an exited little shrug.

"Me and Rishi can both alter your appearances and return you to normal afterwards. If it is being identified you are worried about."

Silk Moon Lotus There's a slight manic look on Silk's face "We need to do this, the truth must be set free. They cannot keep lying to everyone. They have gotten away with it for a thousand years." Silk's voice raising in volume and pitch. She takes a deep steadying breath. "Let's get Spring Wind and we can bring Rishi and Frosty." Silk gazes off into the distance thinking about ways to get everyone inside.
"Interesting, so you could make both of us appear as though we were monks already? This would greatly enhance the disguises. I understand that you are an albino Frosty. Perhaps we could bring you in as a beggar seeking aid?" Silk starts writing out the plans they have come up with so far mumbling to herself "Yes, this should work."
Amethyst Amethyst grins just a little to herself with Silk's words. Shouldn't she be the one that's so sure of herself? The venerable force of nature that is water, relentless and all-consuming. She straightens herself up and nods with some conviction. "...I forgot that you guys can do that. But yes, ensuring we can't be identified would be important, lest we want a Wyld Hunt to chase us all the way back here. The books have to be mended, and I need this chance to learn what it is that the monks /hide/ from us." That's more like it.
Rishi And Rishi resumes her previous form. "And I will do it for you Ammy, my sister, should you ever wish it, for any reason." And she looks over at Silk. "As I will do for anyone who might feel trapped or uncomfortable in their current form. Should you know anyone who has those concerns." She smiles at Frosty. "As I have already done for Frosty, helping her to release her true beauty."
"I am still full of the concern for the power of these monks, but...for my sister, I shall dare much. I shall also offer her a gift of venoms and medicines, to help with the rebuilding of her shop."
Hoarfrost "Or a favored pet." Hoarfrost offers. The idea of hiding in the Night Caste's pocket sounds much better than trying to sneak about herself. "Our forms do not inhibit our spellcasting so we can cast as mice or as men" The speech about freeing knowledge striking a bit of a cord and she gives a nod. "I admit my past self has shown me things that can't be ignored. I'm not sure what the books can tell us, but if it points us to the truth we can uncover than all the better."

The witch smiles at Rishi and nods. "It is true. She helped me find something I am more comfortable with. I like that we are are all so open to help one another. I think together we can really make a difference."
