Bright Journey The crack of thunder erupts overhead as a flash illuminates the river and its surroundings. Rain is falling...not overwhelming, but steady and soaking, if a girl's got no sort of protection from it. The sun already set an hour agone, and there's a chill in the air, though it's not to the point where someone couldn't go out, if they had a good enough reason to. By the river, the rocks are slick and the waters risen, but the banks are a little steeper here than elsewhere. The river won't overflow soon.

In all this, Bright Journey walks, her voluminous black cloak covering her and her deep hood keeping her head quite dry, even if her hair's more than long enough to have a pair of pink, sodden locks hanging out and over her chest. She walks as briskly as the wet rocks will permit, and despite the darkened skies and the less than central point in the city, she clearly knows where she's going. Her footsteps are all but inaudible in the distant din of rain hitting the water.

She finally comes to a section of rock face at the end of this so-called path, covered in thick tree branches and leaves.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nervously arranges the pillows on the sofa she aquired the other day. She always has to pay the delivery men extra to bring stuff into the cave. Bright hasn't visited in weeks and the last time was that crazy demon statue thing. At least that's resolved for the moment.
Silk sets out her tea set and gently persuades the fire just enough. The food is mostly done at this point. "I hope she likes fish" Silk mumbles to herself. She drags one of the chairs she won from a merchant over by the fire to watch the fish. Glancing occasionally towards the entrance hoping the guide ropes she set out helped Bright.
Bright Journey Bright walks right up to the thicket of branches and whatnot, a bit of a smile on her face as she looks over it in the rather dim light. It's not like this place has a street lamp! She hunts up and down the branches, but doesn't seem to find what she's looking for, certainly not in this light. And knocking, while traditional, is somewhat hopeless without a real door. She does try once, rapping smartly on one of the thicker logs, but she doesn't even hear it herself, between the damp and the constant sound of rain hitting the river.

Instead, she calls out, carefully controlling her volume to hopefully be just above the ambient sound not all that far away. "Hello? Hellooooooo~ I'm selling these fine front doors, knockers included." She chuckles, probably only to herself, though maybe to someone else as well.

Or she could have the wrong damn rock face and be looking very, very silly right now.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk perks up at the sound of Bright's voice. She glances down at the fish "Don't you over cook now." She wipes her hands on a nearby rag and heads for the "door". She picks up her storm lantern on the way to the door. Silk carefully brushes aside the leather tarp in front of the enternace letting light shine outside. She sweeps the lantern both ways lighting up a cloaked figure a few feeet from the mouth of the cave. "Sorry for the weather Bright. Frosty said the storm would hold off for another day. Please come in, unless you are a vengeful spirit, then you are not welcome." Silk moves back into the cave and the inviting smells within.
Resplendent Having been looking for a shady contact along the docks anyway, Ai had been glad to have feathers that nicely kept the rain off anyway, rather than worrying about getting her clothes wet, then she sees someone going down along the river, a woman going somewhere, then... knocking on some wood. The owl she's currently being is a little confused, but is all the more interested in seeing just what she's doing, even as she determines that they likely aren't who she was looking for. She flutters over closer as suddenly something opens, the least sneaky owl landing nearby to hear the conversation.
Bright Journey Despite the dreary weather, Bright looks out from under her hood and gives Silk Moon Lotus a grin. "Oh, no, it's no bother, Silk. Only almost twisted my ankle twice getting here!" She frowns to one side. "No, ignore that. Not your fault. Unworthy of me. I apologize." She grins again and holds the flap up, ducking under the branches to make her way inside. "Thanks. It's no problem, anyway. Believe me, I've had much less pleasant rains on me while I was hunting, growing up."

As she leans to duck under the largest log disguising the entrance, she turns her head to one side, and as the side of her hood falls out of the way, she sees...well, -someone- out there, not very far away at all. She doesn't notice the owl, though.

She still slips inside, but as she does so, she asks, "Friend of yours? I think whoever it is must have seen the firelight."

Silk Moon Lotus "I wasn't expecting anyone else. You do seem to have a habit of finding people though." Silk looks past Bright into the darkness and spots the owl. "Would you like to come inside little one? It is warm and dry in here. I know there are a few mice you could eat as well." Silk holds the tarp open long enough for the owl to decide if it wants to come in.
Silk looks at the shadow outside "Whomever you are, if you have come for trouble, I assure you that you have found more than you bargined."
Resplendent Ai was certainly not expecting the response and the people talking at her. She flaps her wings, and... shakes some of the rain from its feathers, then flutters on down and inside, slipping in under the tarp. While she may not be the most adept at using the stealth of this shape, she's certainly a very adept flier as she slips under the tarp to slip inside, since she's been invited, and it's warm and dry, and... whatever is going on certainly seems very interesting. Besides, with her current stomach, grabbing some mice sound pretty great, anyway.

She offers a little hoot of greeting, and a little dance to try to communicate friendly intentions at least. Alas, owls are rather more limited in terms of birds to speak.

Bright Journey A quiet little smile comes to Bright's face as she steps past the threshold and into the cave. Amazingly, there's nothing like mud on her boots. She's pristine, if still damp. She flips her hood back and shakes out her hair.

"Aaaah, a little warmth goes a long way. Thanks for inviting me, and again, the weather is not that big a deal. I'm more interested in 'who' this young fella is. Must be desperate to get in out of the rain to join up with us. I'm not a big animal person, but aren't they more...I don't know. Skittish?" She shrugs and looks at Silk curiously. "And is there anyone else still out there? I'm not entirely sure what I saw."

Silk Moon Lotus The small cave with the stream passing through it has been upgraded since Bright's last visit. A nice leather sofa sits close to the fire along with a matching pair of leather chairs. A bistro table with matching wooden chairs sits off to the side with a deck of cards resting on top of the table. A set of heavy curtains has been placed over the far cave mouth concealing the grim enterance to the deeper caverns.
"Well, if they are foolish enough to enter my home uninvited, they will not live long enough to regret it." She walks over to the cook fire and pulls the two skewers of meat off. "I did follow the fishmonger's directions." Silk sniffs them "Smells done too." Silk holds out one of the skewers it Bright. "Please have a seat." She looks at the owl and smiles. "I just assume that any animal that comes to visit is either a spirit of the area or another lunar. Doesn't hurt to be nice to them either way." Silk pulls a small piece of her fish off and tosses it towards the owl.
Resplendent The owl happily starts to devour the fish with some nice big bites to gobble it down as only a bird eats. She eagerly gobbles it down, then looks back and forth, and makes a happy little hoot. She then flutters her feathers, then hops back a bit.

The owl then starts to slowly change shape, to expand and her legs and arms growing out, the dark feathers giving way to long, green hair, and her red clothing coming into shape. Soon, instead of the little bird, there is the much larger, taller woman in the room, "Thank you... it's a pleasure to meet... both of you. Thank you for the fish! It was lovely."

Bright Journey With a smile and a happy little noise, Bright leaves her cloak in a corner, or hanging on a hook if one's available, and collects her skewer. She sits down opposite Silk, cross-legged and ladylike, and has a quick bite. Soon after, though, she follows Silk's gaze to the owl just in time to witness her transformation take place.

Bright is not shocked or dismayed at this point. Instead, she looks a little comically nonplussed, one eyebrow raised high, and gives Silk a sidelong look from over her dinner. "You know, I would have said we'd already met every single Lunar in Great Forks. Or perhaps the whole Direction."

Turning to Resplendent, Bright carefully sets her dinner down and stands up again. She doesn't immediately speak, though, instead looking briefly to Silk. It is her place, after all.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk looks over a Bright and nods in appreciation "I'm suprised we haven't at this point." Turning her gaze to her new guest "I would like to formally welcome you to me home. I am Silk Moon Lotus, if you are still hungry, you can have the rest of my fish. I have some fruit as well I can offer you." She pulls a couple of pears from a pouch on her hip. "The water is about as fresh as it gets, you may get splashed though if you get a drink at the wrong spot. My friend and I were about to discuss some business, I don't know if you will be interested in helping." Silk gestures to the empty seats "Join us if you like."
Resplendent Resplendent says, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Silk Moon Lotus." She smiles, and gives a sort of bit of a bow, "I'm sure there are a few more around, well, this direction, anyway." She says with a laugh, "I'm Ai." She adds, then says, "I'm certainly not going to turn down the fish... well, and the fruit. Thanks!" She looks curiously, "I'm interested to hear about the business, that sounds delightful." She smiles and says, "Sorry for interrupting and keeping you from getting to it.""
Bright Journey Since there seems to be all pleasantries all around, Bright Journey relaxes a little bit, releasing a bit of tension she wasn't entirely aware she was holding. She offers a short bow, as if to an equal, and a pleasant smile. "Please, call me Bright Journey. Honored to make your acquaintance. It was...a little sudden, though, I admit. Most aren't quite so willing to reveal their natures to strangers."

With this, Bright Journey says no more...not yet. She's clearly interested in, and intent on Ai. "I admit I'm a bit nervous talking about business with someone I don't know." She grins, a more open and honest expression than before. "So, perhaps we should fix that! Pray tell, my dear Ai, what brings you here?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk hands Ai the promised food and heads over to the leather chair by the fire. "Excellent question Bright. I cannot wait to hear the answer." Silk sits in the chair then looks to Ai.
Resplendent Ai looks curiously back to Bright, and says, "Yes... well, you did let me in and give me your food. I was rather forward with offering rather a lot of information about me, wasn't I? So clearly you have every reason to trust me and we should go forth and hear about your business, I'd love to hear all about it, my new friends."
Bright Journey Bright still looks a little concerned, but she sits back down on Silk's new couch and frowns, thinking, as she nibbles on her dinner.

"I...well, that wasn't an answer. But I think we'll be all right, at least for now. I guess." She looks thoughtful and a little distant, considering the possibilities. She then looks back at Silk again. "I'm not really sure about what this entails, though. Frost only told me to visit you, not much of anything about why I'm here or what is going on. Maybe once we know more."

She turns to Ai and offers her another, smaller smile. "It's up to Silk, though. It's not my house."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods in agreement "Several of us are planning to borrow some texts from a Lookshyan Immaculate monestary."
"Myself and a couple of others are going to go inside and get the texts. I have one person for sure outside right now talking acid demons and melting holes in walls." Silk looks to Bright "I was hoping you might be able to add your powers of persuasion to the distraction team to keep people busy while we get what we want. Did you want anything while we are in there?"
Resplendent Resplendent says, "Sounds... Bold." Ai comments with a laugh, "What... sort of texts are you even looking for in such a place? Isn't it all... well, propaganda for the chosen of the dragons, anyway?" she considers, trying to think if there's something else she'd expect in there anyway, "Have some... good getaway plans?""
Bright Journey At this revelation, Bright looks thoughtful again and leans back, still nibbling on dinner. "An Immaculate monastery? We'd better make sure that distraction is a very good one. More importantly, I hope this person's plan involves a lot more 'making a spectacle' and a lot less 'melting holes in walls'. I am happy to distract, not get attacked by a dozen Immaculate monks! Who exactly would be my partner on this?"

She looks at Ai and nods, definitely at least as curious as before. "I have no doubt that they keep a lot of information they -don't- mention in their incessant sermons. I'm not sure what everyone else is after, but anything we could do to hamper the Wyld Hunt would be welcome to me. Pareticularly since their hackles are sure to be raised after this. We should be careful to not draw too many other Lookshyans--or worse, the Realm--here. Great Forks already has far too much attention being paid to it."

Silk Moon Lotus "Yes, those types of texts. Surely they have some scrolls and other texts that they don't share with the dragons." A manic gleam appears in Silk's eyes. "A pair of lunars are coming in with me already. I'm know one can assume a form with flight and get away with the texts while the last member and myself walk out." A broad smile on her face at the revenge she will get on the order.
"We will be in disguise as priests so they have no reason to stop us entering or leaving. They will also not know that we are from since we are disguised." Silks speech pattern changes to a realm's accent "Clearly, they have no idea who it was."
Resplendent Resplendent says, "Yeah, They... probably do, but that seems like a way to make sure to attract all sorts of wyld hunt attention. I know... a spot with a lot more books that have much more information... actually... a couple places..." she pauses, then shakes her head, "No... the immaculate monastery is definitely the easier choice of places to get information than... either of them. So, nevermind that. I'm willing to help. A bit." She laughs."
Bright Journey "Well, Ai," Bright replies, as that smile of hers gets a bit wider. She turns fully towards Ai, beaming, and doesn't hesitate to reach out a bit, trying to fold the woman's hands in her own. "I don't know about you, but it sounds to me as if you're interested in this, too. I'm not sure what Immaculate information you'd love to get your hands on, but the sheer fact that you know about all those other places says to me you might be interested in working with all of us to make this happen.

I haven't discussed this part with anyone else yet, but I expect we'll all be able to read each scroll. I don't really expect anyone to hoard anything here, and besides, if we -can- tamp down the Wyld Hunt in this area some I think it's in your best interests to join us. I could use another hand on the distraction, and you seem like a lovely and charming addition. Now, are you as interested in seeing this thing happen as I am?" She pauses, and grins at Silk. "You as well?"

Silk Moon Lotus "They need to pay for their lies." The fire burns in her eyes. "We can get the books and get out pretty quietly. A lot less noise than assaulting the place. We picked a Lookshyian one because Lookshy doesn't worship the order the way the Realm does." She sits up straight. "This is why I wanted your help. I'm not good at getting people's attention, I'm good at hiding and blending in. Maybe we need to talk more details with Amethyst since it is her plan in the end?"
Resplendent Resplendent says, "Hmmm, that does sound like an interesting plan, I suppose I could see about that. Yes, the... information they have might be interesting. Though I'm still confused at how a big event is supposed to dampen the wyld hunt rather than... encouraging it to take place here?" She pauses, "Why... thank you, yes... yes I am." She answers with a laugh."
Bright Journey Bright nods and smiles at everyone. Isn't it nice when we all get along?

She releases Ai's hands, though, long enough to look at Silk and nod firmly. "Yes, definitely. We have a lot of people involved now, and a lot of moving parts, and we really need to meet with everyone, all in one place, and hash out details before we actually go. They should all meet Ai, as well, though I expect that meeting to go well. I especially want to develop a plan for the distraction, not just go out there and see what sticks. That's how you raise suspicions. And to answer your question, Ai, I fear it won't tamp down Wyld Hunts by itself, of course. Quite the opposite, as you pointed out. What I'm hoping is that we can take away their ability to communicate and organize with the Realm, to help prevent it."

And with that, Bright takes a moment to actually dig in and enjoy another bite or two of dinner.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk smiles as the first step towards pulling off this heist was a positive one.
"You are correct that we will need to cripple communicate with the Realm to slow down the Wyld Hunt." She pulls out an orange and starts peeling it. "I'll reach out to Amethyst to see when we can get together to talk this over." She smiles at Ai "You are very interesting, welcome to our family." Silk starts eating the orange and listening to the rain.
Resplendent Ai shakes her head, "I think... the odds are good that isn't going to work out so well, it isn't as though they'll need those scrolls in order to contact Lookshy... it isn't... that far away." She smiles, then laughs, "But I'm up for causing trouble, it'll be quite the excellent event. It will be a great time, causing that trouble, anyway." She laughs, "Mmm, thank you. I'm sure we'll have great fun."
Bright Journey "Well, I have no doubt if my mum were around anymore she'd tell me how unbelievably foolish this idea is, but...eh. As long as we have a plan and a way to go on when the plan -breaks-, I think we'll be fine. We just have to make sure they are interested in us but have no reason to -attack- us. We're not ready for that, or at least I'm not. Meanwhile..." Bright's voice trails off as she hunts up and down her skewer, then holds a piece out to Ai. "Fish? It's quite tasty, compliments to the chef." She grins at Silk, and continues to eat, enjoying the heat of the fire and the patter of rain outside.
