Rishi There is a clearing in the Eastern Woodlands, quiet save for the babble of water over stone. A shadow passes over it, once, twice, and then a woman touches down, bat-wings furling behind her. She sniffs the air and looks around, then nods, smiling. "This shall do nicely, yes. There are the signs of the rabbits and the mice chewing on the plants, there is the river with the fish, this shall be just the thing for us to start the hunting."
As she says this, she opens her satchel and pulls out a mouse and carefully sets her on the ground. "Now, are you being ready for the Hunt?"
Hoarfrost A snowy white owl glides down into a branch. Wings flapping hard before the landing. It takes a moment of reprieve from the long flight to catch its breath, waiting for Rishi to finish her inspection of the nearby area before hopping down gliding beside her. Mid flight returning to human form, feet catching the ground, half jogging to keep the momentum before slowing and standing near Rishi.

The white witch doesn't seem bothered by the journey instead just looking about happily at the bit of nature she hasn't tread before. Taking a deep breath a smile crossing her face. "I have to warn you I failed this lesson three times before my last teacher let me get help from my familiar." Another deep breath this one to steal her nerves rather than to take in the smells, giving a little nod as she does so "Okie let us begin."

Rishi "The Sacred Hunt is the most important of the Ever Changing One's rituals. But, in their wisdom, they do not constrain those they have blessed. All we must do is resolve to hunt a creature, then we must kill the creature, then we must eat the creature. Our methods are our own."

"But, our methods, they come in the two types. The Way of the Human and the Way of the Animal. The animal way is to turn into the great predator and hunt as they do. The human way is to hunt as the human does, with the weapons and the traps. Both have their place."

She looks over Frosty then nods. "I think that the Way of the Human might be more for you. We are both the thinkers, so I shall show you how the thinker hunts."

She looks around for a sapling near a nice field of clover and a pile of sticks, plucks a few strands of her long hair free, and in short order, she has assembles a snare trap. "With this trap, I dedicate the kill of the next rabbit that is not so clever to the One Who is Many. I shall take its heart and bear its form forever more." She looks over at Frosty and points at another good spot for a snare. "Now you try."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost attends like any dutiful student. Focused eyes, attention brought on the lesson. She even brought a note book with her jotting notes down with a bit of charcoal she has for field notes. Writing without loosing focus on what is being said.

Asked to mimic her teacher Hoarfrost checks her notes once and begins to do as she was instructed. Finding a nice looking sapling in a similar location a few steps away. Using her hair and in a similarly quick time fashions her own trap. "With this trap, I dedicate the kill of the next rabbit that is not so clever to the One Who is Many, our Lady Luna." Carefully she takes a step back from the trap and looks to Rishi.

Rishi Rishi headtilts as she looks over the snare...eventually nodding. She still has a considering expression on her face however. "....For our kind, sister, what is most important is the understanding, not the copying. The Ever Changing One loves all of us they have blessed and hears our prayers equally. Find the one that comes from your heart, just as knowing how and why the snare works is what will best serve you for the making of them."
She puts a hand on Frosty's shoulder. "True learning is the understanding, not the copying. If you have any of the questions, you must be asking them." She then gestures back at the snare. "Now, so I know that you know, how does the snare catch the rabbit?"
Hoarfrost "True, but capturing the reflection of the thing Is in of itself a work of art is it not? Is that not a kind of worship to Luna?" Gesturing again to the trap. The way in which it is prepared is indeed an inverse. The knot set to the other side, the angels of the wood placed opposite. It is as close as could have been gathered from the materials around a reflection of the other trap. Smiling at her little personal little joke. "I mean no offence it was I who asked for your lessons but I have been catching my own food since I was eight. I was hoping for something more ... advanced." She says in her most diplomatic tone. "My struggle is more ... taking life outside of my need to eat." Shifting a little uncomfortable even admitting it.
Rishi Rishi nods "Ahhh. Yes, that can be the problem." She cocks her head to the side, considering, then says "There are many of the ways we could discuss this. I could teach you the way of eating anything and everything, so that you could eat anything you kill. I could tell you that everything you eat becomes one with you, so it is not a loss to the world. I could encourage you to simply ...kill until your heart was hard."
She puts a comforting hand upon Frosty's shoulder "But, my sister, I think that those might be the wrong lesson for you. It is not a bad thing to care. To only Hunt that which you eat. To see the animal, instead of the powers you may gain from it." She has a slightly rueful expression. "I do too often see the animal as a useful shape and not a living creature."

She stands. "Now, let us Hunt the fish, while we find your way to Hunt and then we shall eat the Fish and the not so clever of the Rabbits for the dinner!"
Hoarfrost Rishi lists the ways she can teach Hoarfrost to eat. None of them seem to fit. Something inside of her feeling ... uneasy with each one listed. A little bit of frustration building in her. The idea of killing till her heart ran as cold of the forest. It was allot. So consumed by this she nearly jumps out of her own skin as a hand is placed on her shoulders. "That ... and I'm envious your ability to take what you need." Looking to the ground then up she smiles a bit. "Perhaps I should stop trying to reflect what I assume I need to be and just be happy with myself."

A bit of a weight lifted off her shoulders she moves with her friend to the river. A bit more of a hop in her step than before. "That sounds wonderful!"

Rishi Rishi heads over to the trees, picks a good branch, slices it free and clean with a few swipes of her claws, ties another few strands of hair to the end, adds a small rock for the weight, and clips off a claw which is quickly cut into a hook. "Would you like the pole, or a spear, or to just jump in and catch them by hand?"
Hoarfrost "Catching fish by hand if how my first teacher tried to teach me to hunt." Hoarfrost muses, "I stood in that river for three days straight not getting anything to eat before I collapsed from exhaustion." She seems to think it is funny in retrospect anyway. "I will be happy with a pole thank you." Working to make her own though it is not nearly as nice as Rishi's
Rishi A couple of worms dug from the ground and a dedication to Luna later and they have their poles in the water to sacred hunt some Fish. "It is always best to be true to yourself. Feeling bad about taking a life is part of you. And not the bad one." She hrms. "I suppose I just see that ...the nature provides me with all that I need. If I need to eat, I Hunt. If I need something to perfect myself, I Hunt. But that is my way. It is not the only one."
"....When we were with Ammy in that bar, you seemed to be in the pain. Do you wish to chat about it, my sister?"
Hoarfrost Finding a comfortable place to settle near Rishi, the witch casts her rod into the water. A stick tied into the hair woven line bobbing in the water, riding along slowly with the gentle current. With a whisper of a prayer and brief closing of her eyes she looks back to the other woman. "I have heard of a way to take hearts blood, painlessly, or at least without physical injury. I have not met one who would admit to having the ability. I wondered if maybe you knew."

"I am ... unsure." She admits. "We where talking on the nature of dragons. I explained why they do not speak to her as Luna speaks to us ... she got upset. Said things, did things ..." taking a sharp breath the wound as it was still tender. "She has made amends but, It has filled my heart with doubt."

Rishi Rishi actually looks faintly embarrassed. "...Frosty, my sister... I believe that you know more of our kind than I. I...My tattooing was swift and I have never been to the meetings of our kind. I know what I have learned for myself about my body, but I know not all of the things. In dealings with our family, you should be my teacher." She brightens up. "What I have learned the most is that trying things is the best teacher. Let us see if we can take the forms of the fish without the eating! Until we are hungry."
Rishi frowns. "Ammy is ...confused. Her essence is all the raging, her people tell her one thing, her heart another. She is likely to struggle until she finds her path. For you....you must decide. Can you remain with her until she finds her way? Can you forgive her if she ...leaves to become a Dragon? If she decides we are wrong?"
Hoarfrost "You mentioned that when we first met, perhaps I did not really grasp the whole of what you meant." Hoarfrost seems rather stuck by this difference of their beginnings. "I was snagged a week or two after I exalted by a Full Moon named Trees Bent Backwards. We never got along but the one lesson that always struck a cord was that the Silver Pact was family." Smiling to her sister and leaning in a little and giving a soft nudge. "I will see you come to the next meeting. Its like a big party. There is a great fire, dancing, eating ..." she blushes a little and continues in a conspiratorial tone "Revelry ..." blushing a little harder. "I can't wait to introduce you!" is almost bouncing at the thought.

"Take the fish ... okie I'll exept your challenge. Can't be any worse than grabbing them." Chuckling fading as the conversation swings back to Amie "Of course I will be there for her as she learns herself. I almost envy her, there is so much energy in those first few months." Head bowing a little embaraced she even has doubts. "Sometimes I worry if she can even see me. She almost seemed disappointed when .." making a gesture to herself, her new form she is still so proud of. "I am not doing a very good job of explaining I am sorry. I have never been good at ... this." Waving a hand again this time at the space an imaginary Amethyst should be.

Rishi Rishi looks off into the sky. "It is always nice to feel accepted." she looks concerned for a moment. "They will not ...judge my beauty, will they?"
Rishi smiles at Frosty, blushing slightly. "You are most wonderful Frosty, my sister. You are most kind and ...earnest. Do not be scared of your doubts or your fears. You are joining with another person and that is always complicated. Once Ammy has calmed her heart and found her path, this should help. It is best to talk with her about such things though." She sounds wistful again. "I could talk to her, if you wish?"

"...Or, if you desire, I could teach you the secret of sharpening your nose. Then you should know how she feels."
Hoarfrost Shifting forward a little and turning to Rishi, excitement in her voice a smile reaching to each ear as she speaks. "Oh dear no, not at all. There are all kinds. Plain humans are practically in the minority. I've been confused because some change so much its ... allot at first but you get used to it after a bit." She chuckles falling back into her seat a little just warmed by the memory. "There is allot of fighting too." Little less enthused this time. "But they respect different kinds of strengths. You would fit in really well Rishi. Then you will have more brothers and sisters than you can count."

"O-oh gosh no you don't have to do that." Blush only increasing. She almost loses hold of her pole "Your right she just needs time. There is allot going on in her life."

Rishi Rishi looks over at Frosty, very serious. "It is important to remember Frosty, that you are a wonderful person. If something happens and Ammy can see this fact no longer, then it is her that is the loser, not you. Your new body is some of my finest work, because it suits you perfectly and makes you happy. And..." Rishi has started blushing. Who knows what she might have admitted next, but then her pole dips and she pulls up a fish! "Ah! ...."
After removing the hook, she looks the fish over carefully, studying it, like she is trying to burn it into her brain. Then she licks it, kisses it's mouth, studies it a bit longer.. then releases it back into the river. "Hrm...I do not feel like I have gained it's shape. I feel like... there is a connection between hunter and prey, a point when they are one at the kill."

"I am not sure, but I think you need that ...intimacy for the ritual to work."
Hoarfrost "And?" Hoarfrost's attention is wrapped on Rishi in that moment just like before. It might be fortunate she can't smell as good as Rishi, at least for her sake. There is a moment of tension, that snaps the moment the fish pulls at the rod. Turning instead to help Rishi guide it from the water without hurting it. Where normally she would laugh at the approach she keeps a close eye on the interactions. "A reflection ...intimacy ..." she says it so softly, just before the fish is tossed back.

"What if ... the reflection Is as good as the real thing. What if we took the heart without removing it ... If we steal their heart ... with love." The realization dawns on her like an avalanche. "We form a bond that way. Not between hunter and hunted but between lover and beloved."

Rishi Rishi muses "That might work, yes!" She blinks and turns a bit red. "Though...perhaps you should practice with Ammy. I should not care to try to steal the heart of a Fish and what better practice can there be but one who's heart you already claim?"
She scratches up another worm and drops her pole back in the water. "Now though, it is best that you have an aquatic form, so these next fish, we shall consume. Plus I am starting to hunger." she smiles at Frosty
Hoarfrost "Thank you Rishi! I don't think I would have been able to realize that without you!" Pole forgotten about for the moment she gives the other Lunar a big hug. "Oh your right It would have to be the heart of one I have.." Hoarfrost gives the ground a most bashful look letting the hug drop a bit. Ever since more color has been brought to her face its even harder to hide the bushing on her face, she is practically pink.

"Y-yes lets eat these. Then we can find some new interesting forms. Something that can swim with Amethyst ..." thoughts turning to how her friend smiles so when she is in water, and how she can barely swim herself.

Rishi Rishi also reddens when she gets hugged. Fortunately more fish start tugging at their lines so they're both able to cool off at the bring the fish to land. "Would you like for me to extract the heart for you?" As for Rishi, she simply enlarges her mouth, unhinges her jaw, and swallows her fish in a single gulp.
"Once you have a few more forms, I shall be happy to start teaching you how to bring some of their powers to your human body. Being able to breathe underwater is a most useful talent."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost shakes her head "No, I came out here to do this. I can do this." a look of determination on her face as she takes the fish in hand. Giving it a solid smack against a rock to bring its suffering to a swift end. Drawing a small knife from her boot and giving a precise incision over were the heart should be. "Luna bless this hunt, and this meal. Let us both swim together as one in your moonlight." Holding the fish up to the cut she drinks from the spot. Swallowing she feels the form enter her. Another breath she opens her eyes again and nods. "I will need mine cooked though." She chuckles and begins to gather some firewood to start a fire.
