Amethyst Situated on a picturesque hill with rolling fields around it, the monastary lies in wait, the edges dotted by the edge of forest on one side and the distant city-fortress of Lookshy on the other. It's easy to see a trade route from here that links back to other parts of the scavenger lands, and of course there's a road leading to the place. It's not exactly huge, certainly nowhere near the size you would see if this was run by the Immaculate Order, but it's still a splendid sight to behold. Banners of prayer to each of the five dragons hang proudly outside, as the folks inside go about their business. This is the place Amethyst found for them to strike at. And so too, is where the scouting party will go.

And as reported, there is in fact an ongoing rat problem with the place. Easy holes from the outside to the inside lie along some of the boarders. It's not a problem they've put too much thought into clearing out, but it's convinent for the two of you. So here you are, having made it into the little rat hole, and now there's only deeper inside to go.

Spring Wind Spring has been scurrying about from building to building, presumably followed by her mousey accomplice in Rishi. It's not to hard to enter the main building, and rodents who can predict human behavior are a bit harder to detect than rats who react to signs of danger as they appear. She's currently heading for a place that smells like vellum, paper, or some other material indicative of writings being stored somewhere. She's not entirely sure about the layout, but the nose knows as it has been said.
Rishi Rishi is following along, trying to take mental notes about the layout, whlist keeping out of site of humans, and staying close to Spring. That second one takes the highest priority though, as her mouse form is rather fancy, with attractive patches and a lightly furred tail. She makes a mental note to take a minute and hunt one of the local rats before they leave the area, if at all possible.
Amethyst Inside the rat tunnels, there's a few smells that come to mind. Most of the rats went towards the kitchen -- you can smell the food coming from that way. Otherwise you can smell the other direction has a lot of human in it, not sure what sorta room that might be, but maybe a dinning room of some sort? And too, this food is bland, with unflavored rice being the most present food smell. Fortunately the abundence of smells in this tight tunnel means that it would fairly easy to track down a rat if a sacred hunt was wanted to acquire a more proper shape.
Spring Wind Twitching her whiskers, Spring inclines her head irregularly towards the area of the kitchen... Or at least, where the food smell is coming from as it could be any number of food related places. Time to investigate!
Rishi Rishi would rather not risk anything by starting a rat fight just yet. Plus, it would be impolite to hunt another Lunar's totem animal right in front of them. She shall wait for later and simply try to be extra sneaky in the mean time. Of course, she also follows along behind Spring.
Amethyst At the end of the tunnel there is a sound of water boiler, bright light, and the sounds of pots and pans being shuffled about. There's also muffled talk about food and idle chatter and something about the various dragons. There's a lot of voices. Especially beyond the counter of the kitchen and into the dining hall. But there's plenty of places to hide here and there underneath various tables and cabinets.
Spring Wind The goal in Spring's mind is to get to a library, so looking for scholarly sorts is the first order of business. Thus: Find the nerd. Robes, a thinner build, or a pouch full of papers and scrolls. Best to find secondary indicators.
Rishi Rishi reaches out and pats Spring's tail, then points over in the direction of the bookish fellow enjoying his meal of rice. This is surprisingly adorable
Amethyst He's younger fellow squinting at this scroll and muttering to himself. "Should it be more like this?" He muses, doodling in the air. "Or like that?" He's clearly trying to figure out some sort of calligraphy. And a prime target for the sort of person who would spend a lot of time in with the scrolls. However, he smells vaguely like ozone, and the bluish tint to his skin both seem to point at a worrisome prospect: This is a Child of Mela.
Spring Wind Nodding, Spring is going to stake out his TASTY SNACK-or rather rice. And scrolls. Totally not the eternal appeal of stealing someone's stuff for its own sake. As Spring's fur stands up slightly however, she narrows her eyes. This... Could be a problem.
Rishi Rishi shivvers slightly, looking at the Chosen of the Dragons. To keep watching or not... Rishi looks to Spring, to see if she has any thoughts? Rishi herself would opt to wait and watch for a time and try to judge how observant he is, but will defer to Spring.
Amethyst The young Air-Aspect seems oblivious to whatever these rats were doing, buried in his own thoughts. From their hiding place, the rest of the room doesn't even know they exist. And frustratingly the man sits there and keeps poking at his scroll even after finishing his meal, before finally, in a huff, he gets up, pockets his scroll, puts his bowl back and heads out of the room grumbling about old realm and how tricky it is to capture the right brush strokes. "Oh Pasiap, why must it be so difficult?"
Spring Wind Twitch. Twitchtwitch. Mlem. Translated from nonverbal rat lunar the gestures work out to, "We're not going to get a lead from him, let's double back to the tunnels and try another way." from Spring as she turns to head back to the tunnels once more.
Rishi Rishi tilts her head to the side, looks at where the one with the Blood of the Dragons went, and considers following him...but ultimately follows Spring.
Amethyst Back in the tunnels, there's again, for the most part, three tunnels that meet in a small chamber. One goes to the outside. One goes back to the kitchen, and one goes to another room that smells of humans. Through that one it leads to a fairly bright room. The glass ceiling lets the sun shine onto the center of it, where all manners of folks are going to and fro. It is fairly quiet, but there's not a whole heck of a lot of places to hide here. It's not terribly far from the entrance to the place either. And there's three halls coming off of this one. This must be some sorta common room.

Also it looks like there was stuff sitting he previously, given the markings on the rug. There used to be spots to hide, but not anymore it would seem.

Spring Wind Well this is odd, stuff having been moved. Spring is going to cautiously approach the room and try to get a better feel for what might have once been here... This isn't the most standard of situations after all. Indentations, shapes, even what residue might be left behind all could provide clues to the matter.
Rishi Rishi meanwhile has been shoving her snout umder the rug to lift it up. Once she manages this she gives a quiet and muffled squak to get Spring's attention. She clearly thinks they could use this to sneak around a bit. At least to the other side of the rug.
Amethyst Given the smells from the rug and the former placement of these items, epsecially as they can be spotted over on the other side now, it's fairly clear they removed the items to gain access to the mousehold. Why they wanted acess to it, is yet unknown. And fortunately for the two of them, the rugs can take them to either the west wing, or the north wing. And just before you dive underneath, Spring and Rishi both catch a smell in the air, the distinct smell of ozone.
Spring Wind It's not exactly the easiest task but Spring is determined to claw her tiny rat self up to the moulding even if falling means she's going to be in plain view of one or more dragon blooded. Double or nothing!
Rishi Rishi flexes her claws and starts climbing right behind Spring, grateful that this form does seem to be quite well equipped for the task.
Amethyst The climb is just slightly horrowing, especially since when one is very small the world looks very big, and a 20ft drop looks very, very far. Rishi has no trouble scampering across, but Spring only barely manages to not fall off. And down onto the other side underneath the rug, both can smell the traces of ozone left behind by the Dragon, strong enough to follow it.
Spring Wind While a scaffold or raised pathway might be called a catwalk, clearly the moulding here is much too small to qualify. Thus it follows, this particular stretch of wood ornamentation is in fact a ratwalk. She's moving around looking for the source of the ozone and if all goes well the library itself.
Rishi Rishi is following along, her ability to fly having long since destroyed and tendency she might once have had towards vertigo or fear of falling. Though she does pause for a moment to consider just what the monk's reactions to seeing a nearly naked woman falling out of "thin air" would be. Her silent mousy giggle wells up as she continues on after Spring.
Amethyst There's rugs and rugs and rugs to go. Not too much traffic in this area. And they go until at last, there's a magnificent door opened just a crack. Inside is the smell of books and paper and the sound of writing, crinkly paper and grumbling a Dragon. Into the door are carved an incredible script dedicated to the five Dragons. This has to be the place.
Spring Wind Spring gives a thumbs up... Or at least, as much as one can with limited paw dexterity. The approach downwards is going to be tricky, perhaps getting out with the tomes or else scrolls in question even moreso. But it still ought to be attempted.
Rishi Rishi tries squeezing under the door to take a look at what they are keeping from the rest of Creation.
Amethyst Inside there are lights all around the walls and there's even candles in holders in the corner. But for now the area is illuminated by sunlight coming in from the large windows. There are many different scrolls and a dozen different books. It's quite the little library here. And the Dragon is there trying his hand at whatever he's working on as well as another individual, older and more wizended but not a Dragon, beside him trying encouraging him in a much quieter voice.

But Spring can just barely squeeze under there, and can see little more than the carpet.

Spring Wind Looking around, there are probably some fairly specific texts that Amethyst had asked for. Whatever they may be, it's time to stealthfully look for relevant titles... Or subjects.
Rishi Rishi sneaks after, looking around to see if they have any kind of filing system or tags on the shelves.
Amethyst There would seem to be color codes going on here with the different books dedicated to the different dragons, with a few books having all four colors. The scrolls are anyone's guess. Oh and one particular book in this library seems to be similar to the one Amethyst already owns. And there's others like it. Perhaps this is what she was looking for?
Spring Wind Wash. Lick. Wash. Twitch. Sniffsniff. "Time to GTFO" seems to be the non-verbal message here, preferably by way of smaller gaps and shaded spaces in the room layout if there are any. If not, timing and avoiding gazes will have to do.
Amethyst Blink. Blink again. Is that a rat? "What on earth is a rat doing in here?" The scribe breaths in a sigh of frustration and gets up and starts to go towards rat. "Unless you're going to teach me how to write in old realm you're gonna get swift kick to the tail!" He's coming for Rishi. Spring, fortunately, is in a good hiding place and set to escape out the door.
Rishi Rishi briefly internally debates using her tail to scratch an Old Realm symbol in the ground and trying to fake like she's a divine messenger or something....but she knows so little about their religion that she decides to just run for it! She makes for the door and tries to squeeze underneath!
Spring Wind Spring gives a squeak of oh so abject /terror/ that is totally genuine if only to perhaps give a moment of distraction before making a break for it herself. After the squeak, it's time for a mad dash out towards the holes!
Amethyst The Dragon tries to stomp, but the rat is just too quick for him. "Augh!" But before he knows it, there's a hand on his shoulder.

"Let it go Agu. You must learn to temper your essence, lest it consume you." The wizended gentleman says. "I've helped more than one so young in my day." The Dragon grumbles and relents. And so the rats escape. But this interaction, he really must be a young Dragon not yet learned to deal with his essence fever.

Rishi Rishi squeezes back under the door, and, their main task done, starts heading back the under the rugs to the main room and then, if the coast is clear, out the front door. While doing this, she tries to keep the relationship between the main room and the library and the front door straight in her head, in order to make sure she can tell the others where to go.
Spring Wind It's a bit of a ways out before Spring and Rishi are in the clear, but further along and closer to their vantage point will have to wait until they resume their human forms. Of course there will be more to discuss at that point...
Rishi Once far enough away and under the trees, Rishi resumes her preferred form and relaxes for a moment. She will have much to tell the others, that they have a young monk of the Aspect of Air who is still struggling with the learning of the Old Realm, as well as plentiful scrolls and texts. These facts might be useful in gaining entrance to the place or things to be wary of.
For now though, once Spring is away, Rishi goes hunting for another local rat. She has another form to gain.
