Silk Moon Lotus The setting sun casts long shadows throughout Great Forks. A light fog has risen from the river and is starting to spread through out the city. The noises of the city are muted in the Temple District. A fire has been lit in the firepit in the backyard to ward off any chill in the air. Several plush sedans have been placed around the fire to allow for a private coversation. A large table has been setup with meats, fruit, and sweet treats. A seperate table sits next to it with a veriety of decanters and glasses. A series of lanterns lead from the back of the house to the meeting area. A slate path runs from the exit of the house to the sandy area with the fire.
Silk sits across fire watching her guests arrive awaiting an interesting meeting. She has a glass in one that she is swirling around the brown liquid inside.
Amethyst Amethyst walks through the streets, an ear to the sky, dodging, weaving, mingling through the streets to try to avoid anything that might be following her. Like a mist herself, trailing through the streets of the Temple District, to this place Silk had chosen to meet. Through and to the yard, she arrives from the very mist that had draped itself over the great city. There's a sigh of relief from the young alchemist as she unbuttons her cloak and smiles. "Good morning." She glances towards the setting sun and takes a seat.
Spring Wind Spring is walking up in an outfit perhaps more typical of later hours than an early meeting. Raising her hand in greeting to the two, she sits down on one of the nearby couches afterwards. "Crazy stuff going on. But hey, I'm with friends so this could be a hell of a lot worse." she observes with a shrug, "Besides, what are crazy times for if not doing good?"
Bright Journey Having just moved in, Bright somehow manages to find her way to the backyard without getting lost. Much. At least it's still an interesting journey through the fancy, but old, mansion.

A teasing little smile steals onto Bright's face as she looks over the back yard for the first time. She quietly says, "Good morning to you too, this evening," and giggles just a bit before inspecting the table of goodies.

While she does so, she looks at Silk. "Seems like every time I see somewhere new in here, it's just more character. Always interesting, one way or another." She chuckles, collects some ham and cheese, and has a seat on one of the sedans. "How is everyone?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk smiles to her friends "I'm glad you all cound make it. I do hope the treats are to your liking. I tried to get a little bit of everything I could." She glances at the fire. "I thought the yard a good place to talk. My servants have a particular set of skills that allow them to keep problems away."
Looking over at Bright "Yes, I keep finding the most interesting rooms when I wander the halls. I'm not sure but it almost feels as though the house is hiding something from me." Glancing at her guests "Nothing to worry about, the common areas seem to be static. Ames, perhaps later you could have a look around?"
Amethyst "Less than a year ago I was still followed the immaculate faith quite faithfully." Amethyst says to Spring. A brief existential crisis of 'what do I even do now that I know my faith is wrong' comes and passes through her face before she shakes her head and focuses. "I'm as well as any night. And I would love to take a look around sometime, Silk." Then she clears her throat. "Still no sign of the cult. It's eerie for them to have just seemingly vanished." She takes a deep breath. "I do hope that this plan will work out in the end. It gets tiring knowing that any corner could contain an assailant." Practical concerns, they mask the inner dilemma to her own eyes, and her ears certainly show her variety of emotions to everyone else.
Rishi An owl's shadow flies over the area silently, before landing in one of the shadows in the yard. After a few moments Rishi strides forwards in her preferred form, wings half furled and tail swishing behind her. She grins, waving to the group. "Ah! It is being most lovely to see you all here this evening. I am very much liking this house. It is most grand! Is it being equally nice inside?"
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost flies in a half moment after Rishi, taking her human form she stumbles a bit from the shift in momentum following after the other No-Moon. Another moment of house envy as she looks about the furnishings. "Wow ..." she is pulled back seeing Amy and gives an exited wave. "Sorry we are late. It's a long flight from the Wintersong."
Spring Wind "And boy are your... I dunno, I mean crappy comedians tend to joke about, 'I traveled with a caravan and my back is killing me' but I'm not sure how you'd use that for wings. You don't have wings like this." Spring observes.
Bright Journey Bright looks a little startled when Silk starts talking about the rooms...and then genuinely worried as she nibbles at her ham and cheese plate. "Silk, that is actually terrifying. I mean, when we talked about something going on here I thought maybe we'd delve into a forgotten basement or something similar and hunt something mindless down...now it's starting to sound like something we shouldn't put off for too long...despite everything else that's happening now! I'll keep an eye out, of course." She gives Ame a quick grin. "Thanks! That should be fun, and I appreciate it."

Bright then looks at Rishi and Frost, and gives them a small, but heartfelt wave. "Greetings! I'm glad you both could make it. I do believe we have a quorum now..." She grins and gets up again, long enough to score a flute of wine from the drinks table. Priorities, after all.

Silk Moon Lotus "Yes Rishi, it is just as interesting inside. As much as I would like to show you all now, we should really stay on topic." Silk looks over at each of the lunars "Tell us how the scouting mission went so we can finalize plans." A glint of something not from the fire shows in Silk's eyes.
Amethyst Happy ears go up just before the Lunars arrive. And she grins when she spots the owls. Amethyst waves to Rishi and then grins at Frosty. "I was wondering. Glad you guys could make it." She grabs some ham and nibbles on it. She sits on a couch and leans against the arm. Plenty of room left for another, or two.
Spring Wind "Well, turns out they do have some documents resembling your own books." Spring says, looking to Amethyst. "Also at least two people, one was struggling with Old Realm. They didn't look... Realm-y though, I wonder if you could just speak to them about the texts on some basis or another. I mean a heist would be /fun/ but most people want the easier way with fewer potential repercussions."
Rishi Rishi grabs a plate of fruit and settles down on a divan near Ammy, so that Frosty may join her mate without crowding. She nods, then says "Very well, but I should like a tour afterwards. Especially as it sounds like you may be having mystical issues?"
Rishi tilts her head to the side, her hair flowing over her shoulder like dark silk. She nods, after Silk speaks. "Yes, they do have a substantial library...as well as someone who seems to be a newly joined Monk of the Air Dragon's Blood who has been struggling muchly with the learning of the Old Realm. Someone who could help tutor him might be of service? Or even just discuss such things. It might well gain you access to their library" Rishi's head tilts the other side, her hair swishing quietly, "Or mayhaps it would serve as a good distraction while the texts are removed?"
Amethyst The Dragon goes to raise a finger, but then, faulters a little. There's a look on her face, a horrified expression as her ears hang limpy. "...Of course because it's a Lookshian monestary. But, knowing the Dragons are dead, knowing that the chosen of the Sun and Moon aren't evil. Then again, I'm not even sure if the texts mention whether or not the Dragons are still alive or if we just pray to their ideals. But I can't just be a monk could I? Or, just, study there? Would they even let someone as weird as me study with them?"

"<Tho I am an expert in old realm.>" She switches her tongue, and it does sound rather natural. And then she switches back to Riverspeak. "...I surely could help tutor the lad. Tho I myself am not exactly an elder either." There's a lot of mixed feelings in the Dragon as she processes the very fact that there's a good chance that she could just go and learn at this place without serious reprocussion. And there wouldn't even /need/ to be a theft.

Bright Journey Leaning back, Bright sips her wine and nibbles a bit of cheese, but it's not hard to see the wheels turning. She looks at Spring Wind curiously after a moment, then leans forward, thoughts focused. "A heist is a heist, even if it's just one person talking the shirt of another's back." She grins, a bit wickedly. "I'm still pretty new with Old Realm myself, but I did just learn it a couple months ago. I think Amethyst might have an easier time, though, just because she knows the Immaculate faith a -lot- better than I do. She also is a chosen of the dragons, which would help sell things. I'm very good at convincing people, though, and we can do it either way." She nods to Rishi. "I can certainly do distractions, and I've done a bit of academic study, as well. Not a lot, but enough."
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost tilts her head at Spring, not at all sure what she means but smiles anyhow. Taking a bit of pastry and settling in between Ammy and Rishi If possible. "I-I am a fairly good at Old Realm myself." Nodding to Ammy, "Or you. They might be more comfortable with another dragon."
Silk Moon Lotus "If one of us is going to offer to tutor the monk in Old Realm, it should be Ames. If any of the rest of us were found out, we endanger not only the young dragon but everyone else we know." Silk looks at each of her friends. "I can still walk in and look around, none will question my presence. The best deceptions are the ones based on truth." Looking to Ames "You are a truth, they cannot deny that you are a child of water." Silk's face hardens and turns unreadable "Perhaps we can use the young one to copy some texts we want?"
Spring Wind "Yeah, that's mostly what I'm getting at." Spring says, then pauses. "By the way, what /are/ the differences in Realm vs Lookshyan Immaculate doctrine? I don't usually hear about Lookshy sending out frothing at the mouth hitsquads."
Amethyst "I've studied much of both Lookshian and Realm immaculate philosophy, as well as many, many things on the Realm, Alchemy, and The Wyld. Tho my knowledge of Looskshy is... shy in comparison. I could even go as far as to explain that." She sighs. "That I'm an newly exalted outcaste looking for guidance. I'm not sure if I'd want to be in the ranks of Lookshy but... Man, if I'd taken my second breath just a year ago..." She muses. There's a weight on her.

She holds her head as limp ears just sorta dangle. Clearly, the alchemist's mind isn't even on the heist anymore. Instead, she considers her future, and she considers. "As much as my blood yearns to me, to be with my peers, everyone of my kind there, will hate all of you."

But then she listens to her blood, to Danaa'd, to the one who lives within her and gave her life so that she might live in the Ten Thousand Dragons. And she knows what she have her do: Bend with the tide. There's a subtly shifting in the essence around her, as tho she's starting to cast sorcery. But she doesn't, she only uses the technique to center herself. Her ears middle out, and she bolsters her resolve. Her expression is cold. "The only concern I have is that it will be obvious what I'm doing. If not to the child than to the elder. And there's good odds that I won't be able to keep the very fact I know all of you a secret. I have too many emotions, too many knots in me, to reliably say I could do it without pause. It would be much smarter if one of the lunars could go in my stead, one who has so many less attachments to these ordeals." And there's that expression she makes when she's actively holding back tears.

Rishi Rishi headtilts again, thinking. "...From what I was seeing at the monastery, I think they would be talking much to you Ammy." She frowns "...But I am not thinking that they will be telling all of their secrets to one who is not an experienced monk." She brightens and looks around. "...Oh! Are any of you knowing any of the people who make the false writings? Could we be sending them the letter that says 'Here is a new Monk of the Dragonn's Blood coming. She is both very important and has been having all of the crises of the faith, so you must be telling her all of the truths and secrets.' Would that be working?" Rishi looks at Ammy and winces slightly "...I would probably be needing to disguise you. and be removing your lovely ears if we were doing that. But I would be giving them back to you later!"
Bright Journey Settling back against the couch she's on, Bright looks like she's still thinking hard. "So, who else will be there that we need to distract? I have a feeling that's where my talents will best lie, but I don't know who I should be looking for."

Bright pauses, though, looking at Amethyst as she pours her heart out. Immediately she looks sympathetic and gets up to kneel next to Ametheyst.

"Hey, hey there, hon. I know things have been rough for you. In becoming what we are, all of us have undergone a lot of change, but it sounds like the gods weren't kind to you. I'm sorry. I wish I could help more."

Bright pauses, thoughtful, as she looks at Rishi. "Wait. Can you disguise Amethyst? Can you disguise any of us? Maybe even hide armor?"

Amethyst Sacred ears pull flat. Ahe looks at her hands and feet, remembering how she looked back in Elderloch and how she longs to be that way. And memories of the wyld as it tried to change her, as it tried to take away what she had been given from her birth. These things that she cares for deeply, and the very thought of her just willingly surrendering those things, it's too much for her as tears flow down her face like little waterfalls.
Silk Moon Lotus "I should have no troubles putting together any letter of introduction you are looking for. I may have done it a few times in the past." Looking at Bright "Are you suggesting that Rishi disguise you as a monk? I thought you didn't want to...nevermind. I will have your back, perhaps Spring could be hiding in a pocket just in case?"
Silk stands up and walks over to Amethyst and gently wipes away a tear. "I would not have you change the way you look if you feel you will lose a part of yourself. I think Bright and I can do it if she is willing. I have been many people since I was a child, I will find another face if I must. Spring, are you interested?"
Spring Wind "I could try my hand at forging a letter, sure." Spring says, "I'm up for guard duty too. Hypothetically I could pose as a rat spirit or some kind of demigoddess rat if I'm made as far as extraordinary power goes."
Rishi Rishi blinks when Ammy says that one of the Moon's Chosen should be going. "For all that I may change my form...I am not being especially ...happy, outside of this one. Nor am I good at the keeping in of my emotions." She headtilts again, considering. "Those monks of the Pure way in my homeland....There were stories that they would talk to the demons and convince them to join with the monks....but I am not thinking that these northern monks are being quite so 'friendly." She shakes her head, hair catching the light. "No, I should not be going, except as a rat."
Rishi draws herself up primly. "I am being a very skilled healer and it is being my holy duty to be helping those who are not having the body that is suiting themselves. If you are wanting to be male or female, taller or shorter, wider or thinner, or to have the lovely additions" she flares her wings "I can be helping you." She settles back "But, yes, I can be using my talents to simply make you be different than you are. But...it will not exactly be a disguise. It will be you, until you come to see me again and I return you to who you wish to be." She hrms. "As for armor...no, but I can be making your skin much thicker and stronger."

When Ammy starts crying, Rishi is suddenly there next to her, kneeling on the ground. "I would never be taking your lovely ears, dear Ammy. Not unless you asked. I am being most sorry for even suggesting such a thing. I am sure there is being a way to be finding out what you need."

Rishi stands, looking at Silk Moon Lotus and then nodding. "...Yes, I think I could be doing much to your body. But I will never change another save as they desire. Are you sure you wish this? And will you be wanting to return to this body when we are being finished or would you be preferring another?"
Bright Journey Bright just chuckles and shakes her head, smiling. "No, Silk, I was not offering to disguise myself as a monk. I was asking about disguising my armor. I mean, obviously I can't be wearing this in front of an Immaculate Monk in any event." She gestures at her fine orichalcum lamellar armor, the tiny octagonal plates covering her entire torso, and the large, prominent epaulets. "There is no way I know enough about the Immaculate faith to deceive even a novice. Me being a monk is a recipe for disaster." She chuckles. "And I'm not cutting my hair. No offense intended."

Bright looks at Rishi and nods. "I was just hoping for a way to be defennded while looking like I wasn't. It sounds like this is not what I was looking for. We will come up with another way, it's no problem." She pauses and thinks again, looking at Amethyst in particular. "Hmm. If you're uncomfortable taking that social role, I can certainly do so. I just can't pass as a monk. I=My initial idea was to pass as someone -asking- about the Immaculate Faith and using their pride in their faith to attract their attention as long as possible. That may still be the best option."

Amethyst The Alchemist is helped by those around her. This is her family, after all. Her circle, as she's heard it in the books. And suddenly there's a stream of her own blood and tears helping her hug everyone near her. And especially Rishi, who she clings to.

"I'll just have to be prepared for my role. Tho, really, honesty might be better than deception. I can't deceive anyone to save my life. Maybe I should just go as I am: A fae-blooded that happened to awaken as a Dragon. An outcaste because her father was struck from the Pelep's register thanks to her birth. And one who's having a crisis of faith and needs some guidance to get her feet back on the ground. Of course, I just need to be prepared for when they ask me why I care so much about learning of the Anathema..." Amethyst takes a deep breath, and seems to have finally relaxed and calmed.

Silk Moon Lotus "I will certainly need to look different when I go inside. I could be a tutor for the young dragon monk. Sent from a different temple. With Rishi and Spring along for the ride, we should be able to manage inside if you can distract them outside. "Perhaps you can travel with me as you are Ames? I can claim I am helping you in your moment of need. A little truth, yes?"
Silk smiles at Bright "I can make your armor look nothing like it does now. Perhaps you are a warrior trying to understand the order? Remember, deception is about making them see what you want them to see. A normal bow on your back instead of your usual one. A few touchs of makeup and you will look nothing like yourself. I apologize about what I may do to you hair. Can I dye it, I can use some herbs that will wash out. I do promise not to cut it though. I have some wigs."
Rishi Rishi waves her hand. "Do not be worrying. I can be regrowing your hair easily. If anyone is wanting, I could be using the spell that Frosty taught me and we could be discussing what changes people would be liking? Either for this plan or ...just because you are not enjoying your current body." She looks around. "I will happily help anyone who is being not happy in their body."
Spring Wind "Your choice." Spring says, "I'll be ready to do what I can for you." then looks over at Rishi, "Oh yeah, believe me, I've heard some stuff about Dereth and their struggles. Fucking sucks." then looks back to Amethyst again, "I don't know what you'll find, but at least you can ask about learning in a somewhat informal way. If they try to keep you against your will, I am jailbreaking you without hesitation. Sound good?" she asks.
Amethyst "I think they'd have a hard time keeping me against my will." Amethyst says. Then considers. "Maybe I shouldn't underestimate them tho. But they aren't the Realm. And I don't even think Lookshy has an organization even remotely similar to the Immaculate Order in it." And then Amethyst looks towards Silk. "SOunds like a truth to me~ You did help me once before, after all." And then Amethyst looks at Rishi. "I think I'm good as I am."
Bright Journey Bright leans over and smiles at Amethyst, and briefly rests an arm on her shoulder. There's a lot of people around Amethyst, though, so Bright tries to not crowd the poor girl. "It's all right, Amethyst. We understand. In all honesty...it sounds like this is something you have to do either way. Please...just make sure they don't learn anything that will bring them back to us. That's all I ask; please be careful, for all of our sakes."

Bright looks at Silk and grins. "That sounds more like what I had in mind, to be honest. I don't have the first idea how to deceive people visually, to be honest. Not with any real degree of success. If you have a few tips for that I'd be most grateful, and it sounds like that's something we need for this to come off well. I think we should all consult with you before we go and do this, to minimize the chance we're recognized, before or after."

Looking at Rishi, Bright gets a fond little smile, shaking her head slightly as she does so. "I appreciate the offer, my dear, but I'm as happy with how I look as I've always been. I think we should focus on the heist, though, right now. I think a mundane sort of disguise will be enough for my own purposes."

Looking around at everyone, Bright calls out, just a bit louder than normal. "Everyone. It sounds like we have most of a plan as is. I think? Can anyone thing of anything else we should be thinking about right now?"

Silk Moon Lotus "I will want to go back to being me when this is over Rishi. My neighbors may ask questions if someone else starts living here." Looking at everyone "I agree with Bright, we have about as much plan as we are going to get I think. Please enjoy the refreshments, you don't have to leave if you don't want to." Silk walks over to the refreshment table and fills her glass with brandy. "May we be a week gone before they know we were there." Silk lifts it up in the air as a toast to her friends.
Amethyst "What do I do when they ask me, 'Well dear Ametis, why are you so fascinated with the Anathema?'" Amethyst looks towards the others. And then with Silk's comment a penny drops and Amethyst rubs her head. "Oh, right. We're just gonna be copying the scrolls and leaving, huh. Or 'burrowing' them outright..." Sad ears go down. Someone was looking forward to actually studying with the folks there.
Spring Wind "You know you might be able to keep talking depending on what you learn. It's... I get the feeling they might not be accepting but at least tolerant in the, 'We have bigger fish to fry' kind of way when it comes to some random glowy sort that isn't flinging an element." Spring says, though her expression shifts a bit to a more serious one, "That really depends on what you find out about their stance, though."
Bright Journey Bright slowly shakes her head, still in thought as she looks at Amethyst. "Mmmm...no, I think you'll still be doing that studying, won't you? Isn't that what you were planning on doing in the first place? It's not an either or, after all. You can still do exactly that and follow the plan, too. We'll be fine. As for if they ever ask about your asking about Anathema, you can tell the truth: That you're terrified they'll mistake you for one. That's as real as answers get, I'd think."

Bright grins at Silk and raises her flute of wine in toast. "Come on, everyone, let's drink! Plans may be close to done but the night is just getting started. And may we all find what we're looking for!"

Rishi Rishi nods. "Of course of course. I do forget sometimes how much those who are not Blessed by the Ever Changing One feel about what those such as myself do. But, please be keeping it in mind if any you meet feel that they need to be changed. Shall I be casting the illusion now and we can be discussing how you wish to look?"
Rishi puts a hand on Ammy's shoulder. "......I...know not what texts they are having in that library, but I, too, would be enjoying the chance to see them." A hurt look passes across her face. "I am sorry that neither of us would be best welcome there. I am more sorry that you should be, but cannot."

Rishi sighs. "It is as you said earlier, that the cult would be most scared if they knew of this meeting, yes? Well, so would the Monks. And not simply because we are planning to steal their scrolls. If they form the Hunt to go after one such as us, then what would they do if they discovered all of us together?" She sighs angain, then tries to plaster a smile on her face and grabs a cup of wine. "But yes! Let us try and be happy now! It is good being together with friends!"
Amethyst It's like an arrow perfectly aimed and fired, driving in a nail on a board. The alchemist looks at Bright and looks at herself and looks uncomfort for a few moments as she realizes the sheer truth in that statement. "I'm afraid I might be Anathema..." She mutters. Looking at herself, looking at those around her, and she nods to herself. "Thanks to my heritage and my upbringing, even as I might be a Dragon, I'm still inexoribly tied to the Wyld. And I have no interest in changing that." And then she looks towards Bright and nods with perhaps a more startling amount of clarity than she had before.

"Yeah. That sounds nice." But Amethyst grabs not a drink from the table but a vial from her belt and ingests /that/ instead. For a moment she looks like she might fall over, and then she stabilizes and grins, her eyes more open than before. "To us! And to the success of this heist!" And she digs into foodstuffs.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk looks at Amethyst "Ames, remember, monsters don't cry. We are not monsters. We are the Chosen."
Bright Journey Solemnly, Bright nods in response. "Ame, they can label us. But they cannot change who we are. It's not what shines on our brow, or the shape of our ears, or anything else that makes us who we are. It's our actions. So long as your conscience is clean, take pride in yourself. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And for Heaven's sake, have some dinner." She giggles a bit and takes her own advice, letting serious topics fade in favor of friendly chat.
Amethyst "Yeah. Dinner's good." Amethyst nods. Relaxed and exhausted ears are down but smiles are good. And the food is excellent. "I think this is gonna end well for all of us. Feels like it, anyway. Finally I'll be going and learning what I always wanted to, and you guys will get copies of the good stuff. And I won't even have to lie." And so she digs into dinner.
