Amethyst It is early in the evening, and the Alchemist's shop is quiet, save for the Alchemist herself. She is going about organizing her various products, checking things, cataloging today's activities, counting her silver, and finally she's just looking at the few jade coins she has. She had asked Rishi to come back sometime soon to talk about her next plan involving the wyld. And for now she sits with the majority of her mutations hidden away.
Rishi The bell on the shop door dings as Rishi strolls in. Her mutations are concealed as well, with her wings appearing as a leather cloak, tail firmly belting her backless sweater dress in place, and you really would swear she's wearing wedge heels.
She gives Ammy a somewhat pained grin. "It is most lovely to be seeing you again, but could we both be going into your back room? I wish to be slipping into something more comfortable, as do you, yes?"
Amethyst Amethyst grins and nods. She goes over to the door, flips the open sign around, locks up, and then walks Rishi back to the back room. "Funny how we have that in common now." Her own mutations are... very subtle. Of course her skin is smoothened and looks about normal for a Dragon. Her eyes have a normal shape, and well, she doesn't even dare try to hide those ears of hers. Happy ears are up as she steps through the threshold from the more public spot in her shop into the more private.

And all at once, it's like she unfolds. Her feet and toes flatten and become fin-like, finger webbing held tight against the space between each finger spreads to its full length, gills reveal themselves and her skin shimmers as her scales push to the surface. And of course, her pupils grow much narrower. Amethyst grins towards Rishi.

"It does feel good to stretch out." She says as she stretches.

Rishi Rishi grins, showing her cute fangs, as she watches Ammy's change closely, as she stretches out, her own mutations revealing themselves.
"Ahhhh....it does feel nice, yesss!" She tilts her head to the side. "Is your new body feeling good? It is all working well, yes? Are there being any other changes you are wishing?"
Amethyst Amethyst giggles and twirls just a little. "It does feel quite nice. I think I'll keep it how it is for nnow tho. Actually, I was having thoughts of not modifying myself any further, but instead, making mutations out of my magic." Amethyst's anima briefly shows around her hand as she closes it, then throws a ball of water at the ground. Amethyst isn't actually bringing Rishi to her lab, instead, she's heading to her living quarters.
Rishi "Oh? That sounds most interesting. Is that something you can be doing with your blessing?" Rishi follows along, heading to Ammy's living area.
Amethyst "Well, that and sorcery. It'll be something I look into after my latest project." Amethyst says, grinning. "...In a way, I can't believe that I'm really working on something of the Sapphire Circle. Even if I don't quite command it, it shall be a thing to help define me. But I do need more simple workings."

Into Amethyst's living area, it's quite spartan. There's a few tables and chairs and some cushions, and various immaculate texts are strown about on what seems to be a study desk, including the one on Anathema. Amethyst must've read it.

"But, that's not why I wanted to talk to you. I wanted to talk about ink, and tattoos."

Rishi "Well, I shall be most happy to be helping you, should you be desiring it.". Rishi looks around and spots the Anathema text. She almost raises the subject, but instead tilts her head again as Ammy brings up tattooing. "Oh?"
Amethyst "Well." Amethyst produces a vial of ink. "I used this to mark my memory glyph. It... works, but it is definitely not ideal if I want to fortify my body against the wyld and help me channel its power through me. I realize that I could have, instead of focused on my wyld heritage, maybe made better use of my Dragon-blooded power, but I started this endevour and I'll be damned if I don't finish it. Then it might be time to sit down and actually learn more about my own powers." Amethyst looks at her hand, curling it up as she watches a bit of her anima dance around it, like a little fountain.

"Of course, last time I had Frosty actually do the tattooing. But this time I want to actually use an ink that will resonate with and solidify my own essence, and give me better ability to shape the wyld around me. And as you seem to be the most powerful sorceress I know, I am approaching you for help in creating both these tattoos, and the ink to make them."

Rishi "Ahhhh, I see." Rishi hrms in thought. "...I think, for you, we should be wanting multiple inks. The first, made from Gossamer, to enhance your wyld nature. The second, using the Black Jade, to be channeling your Blessing. And the third, the Moonsilver, to be stabilizing and harmonizing the first two." She head tilts again. "...Perhaps we could be including the Orichalcum? It might be having the better stability and harmony and giving you the extra power....? Or maybe the White Jade, if we are needing to ...dilute the gossamer?"
Rishi shakes her head. "I think that, once we are having the materials, I am going to be catching many of the mice, so that we may be trying many inks on them and seeing what is happening."
Amethyst "Hmm, Black Jade. It wouldn't be hard to get it, but it would be expensive." Amethyst rubs one of her ears in thought. "I'm sure House Ragara has operations over in Nexus. And if anyone was going to have a bunch of jade coins, it'd be them. Maybe I'll disguise myself as a Peleps scion so they won't even ask any questions. I'm sure the others could get me paperwork to make me look legit." The thought amuses her quite a bit. To think she wouldn't want anything to do with the House even if she could.

"As for testing? Dunno if mice are gonna have the right sort of essence, but I think I understand what you mean. It'd at least weed out any unexpected effects. Speaking of, I'll provide a base ink made from primal elements, should be more pure than anything made from crushed up plants or stone. Moonsilver and Gossamer tho, those are going to be more tricky to get."

Rishi "Yes, we do not want this ink to be setting you on fire or making your skin melt. And the mice are being plentiful and easy to be catching." she waves a hand at the moonsilver. "I am having a vial of the moonsilver inks we are using for those blessed by the One with Many Faces. If we are needing more, I am being sure that Frosty can be getting some.". She looks consideringly at Ammy. "...We will likely be wanting to be testing it first. The elders who were inventing it...they were being ....not happy with those blessed by the dragons. It is possible that it is being ...dangerous for you."
"But I am sure we can be figuring it out. It is being the Gossamer that is the trouble. Or can you just be asking your family for that?"
Amethyst "If it were as easy as just asking my family, I'd just ask them to do the entire procedure. They're the ones that understand how to do the procedure and the ones who invented it, I think. I actually don't know who first created it." Amethyst considers. "I guess we can take care of that when we find a Raksha to test me. Ain't no sense of having the ink without some wyld stories to be written on me."
Rishi Rishi headtilts, considering. "We are being taught to be following certain important lines of essence and similar such things when we are doing the tattooing. Yours are all just being stories?"
Amethyst "Technically there is a story written on my arms." Amethyst says. "...Tho I'm not even sure that I could translate it. I barely remember what happened. It was all like a big dream. But yeah, I suppose it's like we're immitating the Raksha. They themselves are living stories, and so to harness power like theirs, we bind some sort of narrative to our skin."

"...That doesn't sound anything like how Lunars do their tattoos, based on what you said."

Rishi "Well, we do include some clawspeak and old realm at var...i..." and Rishi suddenly grabs Ammy's arm, her eyes growing sharper and larger as she looks very closely at Ammy's tattoos. She remains motionless for a few moments, scanning the tattoos closely, before she releases Ammy and settles back, a very surprised look on her face.
"....Those...They are being the Lunar tattoos. Sort of. They are most similar, but...It is being the same technique. Your mystical society must have included some of us, once. If it does not still include us."
Amethyst The Dragon makes a decidedly adorable surprised noise. Surprised ears go back. "Ah!" And then she stands there and lets Rishi... examine her arm? Traces of moonsilver, but mostly made from gossamer and ink pulled from the wyld itself. It's very curious, and the techniques are distinct: Amethyst is no Lunar and neither is the rest of her family. And as noted, it might do serious damage to her should she have true moonsilver tattoos.

And Amethyst listens to Rishi and her revelations. "Uh." Amethyst spaces out, almost as tho she's focusing on something more distant. It's an almost automatic motion when she pulls her arm back to her. Amethyst goes and sits and thinks. And she mutters something to herself in High Realm.

Rishi Rishi is shocked too. "Though...this is meaning that....If I can be closely examining your tattoos...and be speaking with Frosty....I think I can be matching the ink they are using. I still think we should be adding the Black Jade, but we can be using much fewer of the mice." she grins hopefully at Ammy. "yes?"
Amethyst "I think that sounds lovely." Amethyst says, but her mind is clearly occupied with something. Something about the notion of Lunars being involved in the past in Elderloch knocked loose something in her head, but she's being quiet about whatever it is. "If you could match the inks exactly, all that's left is to have a story to put on me."
Rishi Rishi headtilts "Do you not already have one? You have done much since you arrived here. Your experiences with the cult, your life with Frosty...meeting me...."
Amethyst Amethyst goes to open her mouth, closes, and thinks. "...You do have a point. I completely changed some of my religious convictions, I went through many a crisis of faith as well, and now I am telling a particularly grand story about a lowly Dragon who managed to do work in the Sapphire Circle." She grins. "Using the power of her alchemy. That does sound pretty compelling." The Alchemist seems to tune back into reality as she thinks of her accomplishments.
Rishi "Taming an Anathema is certainly an accomplishment you should be including." Rishi is smiling as she says that, though it's a little more brittle looking than her normal grin. If Ammy bothers to look, she'll note that the Anathema scroll seems to have caught Rishi's eye again.
Amethyst Amethyst blinks, and considers, and then nods solemnly. She glances over towards that very scroll. And then she turns back to Rishi. "...At least they don't just blindly call you guys evil." her ears droop as she looks away"It does me no great pleasure to think of what that scroll says. ...Sadly, it makes more sense than anything else I've read. But."

And turns her gaze towards Rishi, filled with the determination of the changing tide. "That doesn't mean that I believe that you will inevitably go crazy and hurt me. It seems to me that whatever this 'madness' is, it can be tamed and controlled." Amethyst gets up, and goes to her window to look out at the street.

"And if it is true, that you all suffer from some great and terrible madness, then I'm already dead. I know you alone would have the resources and ability to kill me and destroy everything I'd ever cared about. To say nothing of the others. And this to say nothing of the friendships I'e cultivated, the home I've made for myself among you Lunars and Solars, a place where we can belong. Tho you are not Dragons, you are my kin."

Amethyst turns back and smiles at Rishi, the same confident smile that she's coming to know when Amethyst is /sure/ of something. Her ears are back, and her anima is just ever so slightly glowing around her. "And so, I will do all in my power to stop that madness from coming to our doorstep. We will be the proof that we are not irredeemable."

Rishi "....I ....I do not wish to believe that such things can be true but ...I have had dreams of .....We get dreams sometimes. True dreams, from those lives we once had. Some are most amazing. Others are ...terrifying."
"I am ...terrifying in those dreams."

"I cannot discount such statements at that scroll out of hand. All I can be saying is this" and she steps forward and embraces Ammy, enfolding her within her arms and wings. "If I am ever so far gone that I wish to seriously be hurting you, then I hope that someone will quickly be sending me to my next life."
Amethyst Amethyst squeezes tightly. "I pray that it will never come to it. And I assure you that I will not go down without a fight. But I pray to all of the Dragons and to Luna that this will never come to past." She nuzzles into the crook of Rishi's neck, giving it a little kiss. "And I have faith that you will be fine my dear."

"I understand past life memories. I... have some myself. They can definitely be horrowing and confusing and terrifying. ...And maybe I'm better equiped to undestand and work with you Lunars and Solars than most of my kind."

Rishi "You have been most wonderfully kind and accepting of me. You are definitely the best of dragons and...and..." Rishi reaches for Ammy's face, looks into her eyes....and kisses her on the lips. Quickly. Lightly. But...long enough for Ammy to know that all needs to do is encourage Rishi and there will be many more where that came from."
Amethyst Amethyst smiles, "I don't know if I'm the bes-" And she's kissed. On the lips. She's sure that it's important to Rishi and that the love is important, and she's doing her best to just go along with that, but boy is it obvious that this surprised her and made her vaguely uncomfortable. Especially since she looks just a few shades closer to the background. "Uh." She rubs her head and looks at Rishi. And it looks like she wants to say something, but instead she just shakes her head and boops Rishi's nose. "Frosty doesn't hear about this? She'll kill me if she thinks that I was ok with you kissing me on the lips when, well, I punched a /rock/ when Frosty did that..." Amethyst focuses and gets her chameleon skin to behave. Tho her face is this lovely shade of pink right now. "A-and well, so, I wasn't a Dragon in my past lives. No, I was some sort of fae." Focus on the information and logical and fascinating stuff, Amethyst, but her ears are as tight against her head as they can be.

...Fae don't have souls with which to reincarnate and Dragons don't get memories from their past generations. "M-maybe a story for another t-time."

Rishi Rishi looks a little sad for a moment, but then headtilts, wondering how exactly that works. "...I definitely wish to hear it." then she smiles again "and about your kiss with Frosty." she does release Ammy from her embrace though.
Amethyst Amethyst looks thankful to be released and she distances herself. And she takes a deep breath, as tho she was holding one. She didn't even know she was holding a breath. "I, I do still love you tho." She breaths in deeply. "I'll tell you about my previous lives, but not here and now." She yawns. "It was a long day and it sounds like we both owe Frosty a visit sometime soon. Maybe you two can really just... reverse engineer what went into my tattoos."
Rishi Rishi headtilts, visibly thinking hard, then nods, suddenly preoccupied. "Yes...I ...yes, I'll go do that. We should be trying to find a source of the gossamer. Try to be finding a good location." and with that, she heads off to leave.
