Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky stood outside the tiny house near the center of the small village. The man he was talking to was leaning against the wall and gingerly moving his knee with a bright smile.

"Oh...My, thats bettern'it been fer years. It ain't got that click no more. Thats damn impressive, I don't kno' how ta repay ya, except maybe askin if ya wanna come in fer food?"

The tall Forgiving Sky smiles brightly, his teeth white, as he shakes his head.

"Nah, I'm fine without, save it for those grandkids, I think the young one is at least an inch taller, since I've been here," says Forgiving Sky.

The man shrugs, saying "Well, if'n ya change yer mind, swing on by."

OldAmethyst First, there's wind. A breeze blows through, then it gets stronger. It's not for a fair bit until she can be seen, riding aloft on the rind itself, her silken cloak billowing in the breeze as she goes. She holds her arm out in front of herself, her other hand clapsed on top of a jade amulet that's hanging from her wrist, glowing with power. She smiles and gives a little wave to the folk below as she comes down, the winds scattering loose dirt and leaves. And as her foot touches the ground, as the wind came, it stops.

Amethyst takes a moment to dust herself off, and her ears perk up. Her tail swishes and the ornament at its end jingles slightly. "They weren't kidding when they said I couldn't miss him." She muses, looking towards the giant marble of a man. She glances around, and hopes she didn't scare the local folks too awful much.

Forgiving Sky Forigving Sky had been staying at the small village for the last week. It was no bigger than ten buildings including the mayor's house along with the small tavern and blacksmiths building. Since he'd been here he'd treated at least two dozen of the villagers for anything ranging from the mild to the severe, with some of the average 'mildly embarassing' inbetween. He was just finishing up with the last villager today.

Forgiving Sky exchanged a few more words with the man before he heard a gasp and turned to see the woman swish her tail. Smiling he says "Well met traveler, new to this village as I am?"

He moves down the few steps to the dirt track between the two only rows of buildings in the whole village, as he leaves the shadows of the buildings overhand the sunlight moves across his skin revealing trails of bronze along his marble skin. He shows no negative reaction to the tail, smiling widely.

OldAmethyst "Well met! That I am. Although, I didn't come for the village. I'm looking for a big man that's skin looks like bronze and marble." Amethyst smiles. She stills her tail and holds it up with confidence. "Now, I wonder where I could find such a man." She grins, and walks over to the man, "I am Amethyst. Cynis Amethyst." She extends a hand.
Forgiving Sky Chuckling, Forgiving Sky extends his hand to gently grasp Amethyst's hand. His skin is smooth like marble that had been warmed in the sun all day.

"My name is Forgiving Sky, and I guess I do kind of stand out, heh, but I dont know what you'd come looking for me for. I'm just a wandering monk," he says.

OldAmethyst "Well, see, I hear you are quite good with medicine." Amethyst explains. She too doesn't seem to mind the strangeness of the man before her. "And I thought maybe you could offer me some assistance back. Although I have not fallen ill, some of my wards have. And I'm afraid that while I've studied many things, medicine is not one of them."
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky shrugs and says with a nod, "If I'm needed I'm needed. Its no problem I was going to leave here probably tomorrow anyway. Its not good to withold skills that can be helpful to others."

He turns back to the man still staring with his mouth open like a fish, "See you later, Eric! Remember, lay off on the fatty foods!"

hen he turns back to Amethyst, "So, where are we walking?"

OldAmethyst Amethyst smiles, and leads him a bit away before stopping and turning to Sky. "I don't think we need walk anywhere. I am a sorceress, after all." She smiles, and swishes her tail as she holds her arm out. Her amulet vibrates, and glows. Little motes of lightning come off of the edges of the blue jade. "We'll be flying there." She smiles.
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky's eyes widen a bit at that, his nine foot tall frame following Amethyst, "Well, thats nifty, I've never flown before. No risk of falling right? I've always wondered how things look from up above. Like how the sun would see things, you know? How hight can you go?"

His questions shoot out almost as fast as Amethyst walks with her shorter stride, though he slows his pace to keep with hers. His voice has an almost childlike excitement as he continues, "Ahhh, I wonder how hard it is to learn such a spell."

OldAmethyst "It probably wouldn't be too hard for someone who's initiated into sorcery." Amethyst says as winds gathers around her. And in a singular point, the winds intensify, beginning to lift both herself and Forgiving Sky up into the sky. "No risk of falling. I can go pretty high. But, the more important part..." She starts, before she glances and orients herself. "Is how fast." Whoosh.
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky's excited yell trails off as the two fly off.

"This is Amazing!"

Sitting next to Amethyst, Forgiving Sky chortles in glee as they reach maximum speed. "Oh wow, you weren't kidding!" he says, looking around from on high.

After a few moments though he seems to sober and then he turns to Amethyst, "So tell me more about whats going on with these people who need my aid. How long will it take us to reach them? Whats wrong with them?"

OldAmethyst Amethyst giggles as she goes. "You like it? Flying is amazing, isn't it?" She stands, guiding the gale force winds that circle around them. "There was an accident when my caravan was returning from Nexus. A few people got injured, and after one of them came down with something, I didn't wanna take any chances. So I set out to find a doctor to help. And it shouldn't take too long to get there. I'm not that far away."
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky nods, "I do like it, its one of the most marvelous things I've been able to experience."

Then he listens to her about his soon to be patients.

"Well, as long as the wounds aren't infected it shouldn't be to much trouble to treat most of them, hopefully none of them need to have anything re-broken, thats never fun," he says, "of course usually a doctor gets paid, but I heard you say something about a caravan. Are you a merchant?"

OldAmethyst Amethyst nods. "I've built a little village for folks that don't really have anywhere else to go. I call it the Waywards' Sanctuary. I use my sorcerous ability to make and sell things, and I'll sell any wares that the residents create too. And worry not, I'll be sure to pay you. I'm not one of those Dynasts who take and then make arrangements later to have everything paid for."
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky seems to focus on Amethyst's eyes for a moment as she talks of the Wayward's Sanctuary, and he seems somewhat taken aback. "Oh, well. Ahh. Then well, good. We'll see about payment once I'm done then," he says, nodding to himself.

With that off the table, he seems to relax a bit and continues gazing out at the landscape below him.

OldAmethyst Amethyst leads them near the clouds, to the point where one almost could touch them. "You'll see what I mean. I've caught a lot of flack of these over the years." She flicks her tail and wiggles her ears, "So I wanted a place where people like me could stay without fear or prejudice."
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky nods, "I know what you mean," he says, tapping on the side of his head with a finger. There is a distict clicking sound of marble meeting marble.

"Some people don't like that I'm larger than them or that my skin is different, but... I'm larger than them, and my skin is /tougher/. I've been fortunate. I've seen others who werent."

OldAmethyst In not too much longer, there's a clearing, and there's these wooden houses all built around a single stone structure in the center. In the center, flies the mon of House Cynis, and the same mon that's on the back of Amethyst's cloak. "We're here." And after much slowing down and descending, Amethyst sits herself and Sky down. She waves towards one of the residents, who has fins, scales, and no hair. An obvious wyld mutant. "Welcome to the Waywards' Sanctuary."
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky takes a few moments to get used to being on solid ground again and then looks around at the Sanctuary. Smiling he nods towards the fish-person and says "Thank you for letting me visit."

Then he gets a bit more serious, and motions to Amethyst, "Show me to the patients, please. I'll look over them first thing. I'll probably also need a decent amount of bandages and hot water. Always good to have bandages and hot water!"

OldAmethyst Amethyst nods. She leads Sky through the compound. She waves towards the sorts of folks there. Not /all/ of them are wyld mutants or beastfolk or otherwise strange, but there's definitely a number of them that are. She wibbles her tail to and fro as she walks, her ears are middled and she seems nervous. And she leads him to the stone structure. It's stone at the bottom, but then a few floors of wooden building above it. And she takes Sky to the first floor, where a few people are resting. They have bruises and minor cuts, and one in the corner. They look mostly alright. It's probably not them that she's worried about, but instead, there's a man laid away from the others, fast asleep.

He's looks pretty big and tough, tho he's not quite as big as Sky. He has these wicked claws and these thick scales, along with a powerful tail. The tail has bandages around it, ameaturely wrapped around what must be a pretty deep gash. And his one arm doesn't look too great, either.

"Hello." Amethyst says to the folks gathered. "I said I would go and find a doctor, and I've brought him here. His name is Forgiving Sky." Then she turns to Forgiving Sky, "These are the men I was telling you about. One guess on the man that needs your attention the most."

Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky follows and takes in all he can about the small sanctuary. The people seem happy for the most part, he decides. Once they enter the room with all the men laid out his eyes are already scanning the various wounds. May of them were small and would only need something to prevent infection and good bandaging.

The last man however was in a very sorry state. Not even trying to take a guess, Forgiving Sky moves directly next to the man and lays his hand on the man's head, "Hrmmm, Fever, now lets take a look at you, sir, you'll be up and moving soon I'm sure..." he says, as he moves to look at the flesh under the hapazard bandages.

His eyes take on a some what cold glint, like a rainy sky, as he looks at the wound but his voice remains light and breezy as he comments "Oh now thats not so bad, we'll get you good as new, I promise. Lets make sure you get some water down before we start though, here, have a drink from my gourd here..."

After the man takes a sip or two his eyes roll to the back of his head. Forgiving Sky shakes his head and sighs and says, "He should be able to rest for a bit now, but I should get started while I can...."

He then hesistates for a moment before turning to Amethyst, "I'll need a room with him alone, the water and bandages we spoke of, and time."

OldAmethyst Looking around, he can see that this room is also stocked with a lot of sorcerous materials. It must've taken quite a bit to assemble all of this stuff. She goes over and opens a draw, and there's quite a few bandages in there. "Here's bandages, and I'll go fetch some warm water." It takes a minute or three, but Amethyst returns with two others in toe, each of them bringing a bucket of warm water. "Alright. So you need a room alone? You can use the rooms upstairs if you need them. Is there anything else you need?"
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky shakes his head, "No, no, thats everything, I have my tools here," he says, pulling a slender roll of leather from inside his robes.

"Its best to not administer the medicine too often in a short period of time, so I'll start immediately. It shouldn't be too long. He's the only one that needs such care these others wont require their own room to convalesce in..."

He then gently lifts the wounded man, almost like carrying a small child considering his height, and makes his way upstairs for the water and bandages. All in all it takes about two hours before he comes back down, wiping blood from his hands with some of the leftover bandages.

"Alright. He should make a full recovery. I wouldn't let him move around at all for the next twenty-four hours or so. After that he should be fine on his own as long as he takes it easy."

He shakes his head.

"Its such fine tail, I don't know why somebody would want to do that to him."

OldAmethyst Amethyst had been sitting on a mat and meditating, her tail neatly laying on her lap, her ears loosely hanging. Her eyes open as she hears Sky descending. She gets up, and her tail stays near her legs. She seems nervous, until she's given the good news. She breaths a sigh of relief and swishes her own tail a few times. She nods to him. "I don't understand it myself. But I'm glad he's going to be alright. He's a good man. Thank you."
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky shrugs, saying "Its nothing..." then he pauses before continuing sounding a bit embarassed, "I know I was going to charge but thats usually just for the rich and the wealthy... you are doing good things here, obviously, so its nothing to worry about."

He then motions to the others, "I'll take care of them next, you can watch this part as long as the patient doesn't mind, its important that they are comfortable with the process or they won't tell me everything thats ails them."

OldAmethyst Amethyst seems surprised. "You must be really good for it tbe nothing for you. I know I couldn't have done it. And, worry not. I might not be the richest of the Dynasts, I'm surely no Ragara, but I am still a Dynast." She slowly looks between the patients and Sky, her tail moving just as slowly. "I'm alright with stepping out if they would prefer it. If any of them would like me to." She looks between them various patients. But none of them seem to object.
Forgiving Sky Forgiving Sky shrugs, "I have very little needs myself, so the money is more of a burden to carry than anything. If you absolutely have to, then send a shipment of grain to that village you met me at. They could use a bit more in their diet." Then he begins the first round of all the new patients. He redoes bandages after checking, smearing salves here and there or breaking out some suture for cuts that would have difficulty closing. While treating them he chatted with the men to distract them from the procedure and any embarassment they might have had.

Hours later he sighs, "Looks like its all taken care of. I'd recommend increasing their diet of red meats, and give them some wine thats been steeped with these herbs, should be enough for everybody," he says, handing over a cloth wrapped ball of herbs tied off with some rabbit gut.

OldAmethyst Amethyst takes out a little book and scribbles down something in High Realm. "A shipment of grain to that village, alright. I can make arrangements for that." She flicks her tail, jingling it. "I'll see to those instructions too. And, you're welcome to stay here anytime you need." She smiles. "Thank you for your services."
Forgiving Sky He nods, saying "Thats good then. I'll take you up on the offer for now, at least for a few days if only to make sure they all recover well."

Then he grins, "On another note, is there anything to eat around here?"
