Amethyst What has the Dragon gotten herself into? Today is another sparring match, this time, a duel like she wanted, against the massive Fudou. But for now she sits in the sparring chamber, waiting, a little alchemical flame before her, its heat upon her face as she meditates with it. Slowly breathing in and out, she imagines Hesiesh with her in the flame.
Fudou the Mountain "Are you -sure- this is something you want to do?" rumbles fudou's deep resonant voice. Unmistakable in its bass bravado and simply emerging from behind the meditating dragonblood as if he just appeared out of nowhere. Which is possibly not too far out of the question given Lunar shapeshiftinga nd small critters and who knows what other trickery they have. Though to look at fudou he's less about trickery and more about stepping on things.

He's seated at the edge of the steps that lead into the dojo, perched there though they be too small for his oversized rump. The rest of him fills up the entry hallway and his grand goremaul - looking like a literal pillar of moonsilver and obsidian, rests infront of him, leant over slightly so for him to lean a heavy arm onto it.

"I know you explained the magic of this place to me but...even sorcery has limits. I'd hate to put you in unnecessary danger."

Amethyst The Dragon calmly recites something in High Realm, words that sound as though she's spoken them a thousand times. And as she opens her eyes, she runs her hands across the flame, lightly scalding herself as it dies out. A charge of essence radiates from the Dragon, as she gets up and faces the Champion of Luna. Her eyes practically glow with her (perhaps reckless) determination. "I am sure. If Bright's flaming arrow didn't do any serious injury to me, I think I will be ok. And I truly wish to test my limits." She explains.

Her essence darkens and blood comes from the wounds from where the flame burned her, congealing into the signature whip of the Silvered Dragon, her tattoos radiating outward for a moment, shifting their hue to clearly demonstrate the bit of moonsilver used to create them. "I am ready to meet my match."

Fudou the Mountain "Your 'match'?" questions Fudou, eyes brightening in surprise, almost gleaming behind his glasses. He reaches up to his nose to lift the spectacles up, "I'm a Full Moon Lunar of Luna! You're a little dragon playing at being one! Well...perhaps that's too harsh. You've long passed the point of playing and have obtained some surprising successes and have been accepted by my peers and managed to impress me. So forgive me..but..uh.."

He lifts his weapon up and shoulders it as he steps forward. The very dojo begins shaking, rumbling, as his already gigantic body begins visibly swelling. Sinew piling ontop of sinew and muscle such that a roided out Yeddim would begin cowering as the bruiser begins living up to his nickname of 'The Mountain'.

"I'm afraid my biceps are bigger then you. Still..surprise me!"

He lifts the grand goremaul up and brings it down to slam thunderously into his outstretched hand as he steps into a combat stance.

Fudou the Mountain Hardly has the bruiser entered this stance does he suddenly spring forward, moving with speed and grace that is complete and utter contrast to the juggernaut of muscle mass that is his outward appearence. His grand goremaul comes in, spinning around as he attempts to cross Amethyst up and slide past her. It looks, likely, as if someone just took one of the pillars from the temples in the temple distract and decided to hurtle it at her.
Amethyst That muscle bound pillar is fast, but Amethyst is faster. She takes a half step and puts her whip between herself and him, blowing the goremaul aside and splashing some of the blood into the Lunar's eyes. And she makes use of his momentum to spring behind him, glowing in her signature blue-green as she cracks her whip quick at his back.
Amethyst The Dragon lands a solid hit! But it barely did anything! She blinks a little and her eyes open up just a bit as she stares down the towering Lunar. One imagines that whatever she said in High Realm was rather rude. Whatever the case, her anima bubbles and boils as the warmth of flame encompasses her.
Fudou the Mountain "That was clumsy of me.."

Fudou speaks during all of this. Casually talking right through the strike that Amethyst lands on him as if he didn't even notice it happening. The fact that he was blinded, surprising perhaps, but taken in stride. The whip cracks against the massive landmass like shapes of his muscled back and the giant simply stands there and loosens his huge shoulders and then cracks his neck one way and then the other while rubbing the back of it.

"I'm usually much faster. You're fast though! But best for me to not let my sloppiness be the reason why you get ahead. That would be a poor victory for you and embaressing for me!"

No sooner has he spoken has he whipped into action again. He spins around, pivoting on his feet and whirling the massive room clear grand goremaul around him like a baton in a wide sweeping arc to attempt to crash it violently into the Silver Dragon wherever she may be..

Amethyst The sound of air being forced out lungs and the feeling of hitting something squishy means that his hammer found its mark. Fortunately for the Dragon, it was only a 'grazing' hit. But it's clear that blow knocked the wind out of her. She's panting but still standing, her whip still in one piece, and no ribs have been broken yet. "Even while blind you are incredibly agile. I think I underestimated you after that last attack." She says. "It will not happen again."

The Dragon pulls herself together and her whip ignites into flames. First She cracks it near but not at the Mountain to surprise him and then she channels her anima into the attack, adding to the flames of the whip to strike true.

Amethyst It's just a little disheartening to strike such a powerful hit, and again, do very, very little. The flame on her whip goes out as she just looks upset. "I see why they call you the mountain now." Amethyst says taking a half step back. "I think I've definitely met my match..." There's a tinge of fear in the Silver Dragon's voice.

But then she puts herself back together and stands up straight, stating "But I'm not through yet." After that, she adds another thing in high realm. For someone who doesn't care much for the Realm, she sure likes to use phrases in their tongue.

Fudou the Mountain "I'm holding back, you know." offers Fudou while stalking forward with those earth shaking steps and a big full toothed grin on his bestial oxen-themed visage. Silver essence whirls around him in a ninbus of light and he lifts a giant arm up and then shakes a finger back and forth at Amethyst, "You should know your limits, though. I'm fighting under a handicap myself. I could grow in size to a city shaking behemoth, with my weapons in hand, or uproot and wield a sequioa instead of my weapon, Continent Breaker...so I'm stuck at a disadvantage here ..but very well. Let's see if your bravado will still stand!"

WIth that, the goliath lunges forward, looming over Amaethyst and then sweeping a massive arm out and at her to try and grab her and curl her up against him using a single vastly muscled arm.

Amethyst Amethyst ducks out of the way, blocking the behemoth with her whip. "Even so, you're doing very well. Or I'm doing poorly." She says. She breaths in deep, and out. She's out of fancy tricks to pull, now all that's left is the Mountain and her whip's inability to really pierce his hide. Maybe she can outlast him, that'd be the only thing she can do. And so she breaths just as deeply, striking to keep him on his toes, her anima flaring to life again, this time already bubbling and boiling.
Fudou the Mountain Fudou the Mountain's monstrous arms grasp at nothing but air. He slips forward a few thundering steps and turns slightly just in time to see the whip come cracking at him.

Within the space of an instant he's ducked low and then dashed to the side, letting the whip crack violently into the comet like trails of his aura as he adjusts the grip on his weapon to change tactics slightly.

"..Or you -are- doing well..and I'm just that powerful." he quips letting that grin light up his bestial visage again. "Take your pick!"

With that, his weapon comes whirling in, dragging itself through the air with a thunderous shockwave behind it that sends loose debris and dust flying as it hurtles at Amethyst.

Amethyst She hesitated too much with her last attack, she didn't put herself into it like she needed to. She won't do that twice.

"You're getting slow there, Mr Mountain." Amethyst says, her whip tossing the strike aside as she counters with her own, blistering strike. No frills, no tricks, no special alchemy or sorcery or strange elemental powers, just the extent of her skill and her will. She will not be beaten so easily.

Fudou the Mountain One does not taunt the multi-ton wall of muscle ..even if it's well deserved as Fudou has hardly been holding back from yapping and teasing during this. But it seems he can't -always- take it and an embaressed miss followed by another sting from that whip (..and he does feel them, he's simply no selling well due to his vast size and appearence..) causes him pause and mild annoyance. So much so he doesn't actually say anything..which is how one can tell when Fudou is irate if one knows him well enough to pick that out.

Nope..just an attack. A swiping hurtling backswing from his Goremaul as he turns towards Amethyst and brings the weapon slamming towards her as if he were intending on felling a building.

Amethyst And she thinks she can deflect him again. She's done it several times now, using her whip to deflect the great mountain. But this time she doesn't time it right. There's a moment where she realizes that she misses and the magic of this room, again, is all that's going to stop her from dying. The thunderous blow slams into her chest and one can hear all of the bones in her chest breaking at once. And then she gets throw across the room by the blow, and slams into the wall behind her, leaving this lovely blood pattern on it, her anima vanishing with the collision and her just sorta flopping onto the floor.

Her whip also vanishes into yet another bit of her blood, her tattoos wink out, going this dark black-blue color (one imagines this is the actual color of the ink). Fortunately, it seems she's still breathing, but again she's out cold. To her credit she did go toe to toe with a mountain, and held her own for quite some time. But in the end, she is but a Dragon.

Fudou the Mountain The burst of anger ebbs as quickly as it rose and Fudou's eyes widen slightly as Amethyst is flung away like a rag doll from the force of his strike. He doens't look alarmed, unlike others may have been another evening down here, but he's not fully impassive either as he studies her and then glances about the room as if expecting the magic that is supposed to shield others from harm to be a visible thing. A lightning bolt or some sort of bizarre solar shield.

Not seeing this he grumbles and lets go of his weapon, setting it to stand upright and balance before stepping over powerfully towards the Dragon.

"Hey....HEY!" he rumbles after glancing up briefly at the blood on the walla nd then crouching down over her to check on her. She's not a splattered moasic of bodyparts and blood so he assumes the magic is indeed working..but still.

"..Wake up!" he rumbles while reaching down to shake her. "I thought you said this room was magical?"

Amethyst The Dragon groans and looks up at him. She gives a defeated chuckle. "I guess I'm not up for taking on a mountain. And believe me, if this room wasn't magic I'd be paste on the wall there." She groans and manages to sit up. "The magic in this place is somewhat faded, probably from centuries of not being maintained. It still works, but it's not perfect."
Fudou the Mountain "A mountain you can take on just fine. A full moon that has dedicated his growt to..literal growth and large scale destruction who just happens to -be- a mountain..less so." offers Fudou, "Although I have to be fair and honest..you did much better then I expected and I was a little sloppy and arrogant in not expecting you to do what you did manage to do."

He takes a seat next to her, rumbling the room as he sits down and then reaches to try and feel for the welts on his back as best he can.

"Normally my battle tactics are far more destructive and broader. In a serious conflict I would have made a mess of this room or taken it outside. Considering things, this showed me my weaknesses as well."

Amethyst "I also got overconfident quite a few times there. I've not truly dedicate myself to fighting and frankly, it's the Fire Aspect Dragons that are known for the skills on the battlefield, not children of Danaa'd like myself. Heh, I've come a long way from the mortal girl I was last year." Amethyst rubs her head, "To think that it's only been a year since I've taken my second breath..."
Fudou the Mountain "The company you keep." suggests Fudou, "You're being forced into situations that most Dragons aren't and you're being rather aggressive in your pursuit of ideals and abilities that no doubt other Dragons would consider heretical. You have probably come a long ways compared to a Dragon of your age being schooled and training traditionally but...you should keep in mind that there are things Celestials are better suited to dealing with and be careful that you're not swept up into situations you have no defense against..."
Amethyst Amethyst pulls her legs up and puts her arms around them. "I've no doubt they'd consider me Anathema if the Order ever find out the extent of what I've done. It's strange coming from the Immaculate Faith to discover that a lot of it is wrong, lies told to children. The reality is much less cut and dry and more about control than about the 'inherit evil of the anathema'. Nowadays what I follow has much more in common with the Lookshyian faith than what the Order preaches."

She looks over at Fudou, and lowers her voice a little, "And really, of the elemental dragons, Danaa'd would most certainly be the one to favor one who uses weird and backhanded ways of gaining strength, as opposed to rightously following the path laid out in books like Pasiap would demand."

And she returns to her normal voice, "Whatever the case, it's been a long, strange year for me. Finding my faith fall apart and discovering my friends are something I was taught to hate and fear, and then wanting to be like them because... I don't even know. I blame essence fever."

Fudou the Mountain "Hmm.." The huge lunar seems unsure of what to say to some of that and he studies Amethyst for a few moments before finally saying, "Altering yourself for the sake of others is...always a dangerous path to tread. Be sure these changes you're making and the things you're doing are because you -want- to do them...for yourself. Not to be like someone you can't be like. That's what I think..at least. Anyway..it's all very strange yes. My usual method of operation would be geting me labeled a bandit or a brigand but here I am..still meandering around Great Forks because I find the Solars interesting. In some ways I've been..softened. But as to you? You wouldn't be considered an anathema. No. Possessed or cursed by them? Probably."
Amethyst "Ironically, these tattoos?" Amethyst starts, and the dark blue tattoos come back to life, shining the moonsilver color that's somewhere in the ink, before turning and going prismatic again. "Most of them were done by the lunars, but they have a very different purpose. I think it's somewhat obvious that there's wyld in my blood too, and these tattoos better let me channel and make use of it. No relation to the lunars. And they just gave me the body I wanted to have, the body I did have back in the wyld. And gave me a way to conceal it. Really, the only strange thing I did was devote so much effort to finding a way to shapeshift..."

She shrugs. "Great Forks is definitely a strange. On the plus side, weird folks like me aren't looked down upon like, imagine how the Great Houses would react to a Scion having ears like mine." She wiggles her ears. "So in a way I've found a home here now."

Fudou the Mountain "That explains alot although I'm given to understand that many Dragons reflect appearences that would be considered 'unusual' in comparision to mortals due to the strength of their elemental abilities so..perhaps not as strange to others as you could be but..still strange. Anyway...The Realm doesn't have the same grip here and in places like this as it does elswhere which is kind of the point. Further east and to the south in the Dreaming Sea are many communities that would accept us and other places we'd be wise to steer away from."

Fudou grins and adds, "In case you haven't noticed I'm not exactly 'normal' looking myself.. but we make due.."

Amethyst "Yeah but you can just shapeshift into a human form that wouldn't look out of place, like Rishi does." Ammie says. "Funnily enough I was born in Champoor next to the Dreaming Sea. But yeah, I do suppose that some of my strangeness is just from having the influence of the elements on me. I certainly wasn't this violet color 'fore I exalted."

"Regardless," She starts, getting to her feet. "It was an honor to duel you." She gives a bow to Fudou. "Perhaps we shall again someday, after I figure out how to deal with someone with as much toughness as you have." She grins.
