Ignis In a moment of rarity, the arena is largely bereft of activity aside from a few stragglers and some minor training and sparring that is going on in some of the sectioned off areas. The massive ring has nothing of particular note under way and the stands are empty, mostly containing stragglers with nowhere else to be using the facilities for activities ranging from scouting for talent to private conversations.

This suits Ignis just fine. The exalt, arrayed in a dark long jacket and light armor of blacks an golds, sporting his flamepiece and with his daiklaive belted to his side, makes his way around the edges of the arena towards a larger training area sporting several training dummies and neatly arrayed weapons and armor. He stands there for a few long moments, studying them in thoguht before loosening up the peace bonding on his weapon and slowly unsheathing it. A soft sort of rosey golden glow emitting from the orichalcum as its gradually drawn forth..

Raullaur Raullaur has come to the arena as well, the lionman wearing white silk and cream-colored leather that doesn't look to be armored at all, but he does have his own daiklaive across his back, hilt ready to draw over his left shoulder.

Ignis is not an overly familiar face, but he is one that Raul recognizes, especially once the weapon is drawn. That gets a lot of attention, and severalpeope back up a bit farther--just in case. Raullaur, though, walks over and gives a smile. "Looking to have some fun today?"

Ignis The other Solar has his blade fully out and upright for some time. He stares into the shimmering oricalchum for a few moments, muttering to himself softly, "Just what have you been trying to tell me.." And then Raullaur has arrived and Ignis is shocked out of his thoughts and turns towards the approaching Lionman.

"Ah. Raullaur is it? Good to see you again. I think it was...with Bright Journey and the others? We were supposed to have a bit of a match with them supervising if I'm not mistaken.. but we were caled away.."

He returns to looking at the sword in his grasp again and looks thoughtful, "I'm not sure if 'fun' is the right word. I've been..introspective of late, let's just say. This sword has..some signifigant meaning to me but I've yet to figure out how to truly get it to speak to me. Frustrating.."

Ignis then turns towards Raullaur and smirks slightly. "..Perhaps you understand my frustrations? It can be difficult finding direction when all around you is silent, wouldn't you agree?"

Raullaur "That it is. And Bright Journey gave me a clue. Often times such things can be awakened to talk...through using them.

"And soetimes...they speak. It is we who need to listen. As for my arms and armor....they feel right. They feel.../mine/. Like something on the tip of memory, half-forgotten, once-known."

Ignis "I've felt much the same. This sword is 'mine' and it is part of a legacy that I am still unravelling. I have had dreams on occasion, visions of a time and a place that no longer are. An urge to unravel these mysteries. But it's important that we are not slaves to the past or those who were before us, correct?"

He pauses in thought and then shakes his head, "Either way, it's good to see you again." Ignis chuckles and looks away to study the training dummies, "It's mostly just us here so there's no need to beat around the bush: I'd been curious as to hwo you were handling matters here in Great Forks being as how we're not too dissimilar from each other as we're both Chosen and champions of hte Dawn at that. It sounds as if you've gotten comfortable with the others: Bright Journey, Amethyst, Rishi.. They're quite an interesting bunch. You and your men are committed to staying here in Great Forks?"

Raullaur "We honor our ancestors and the good they do. We strive to do what is right," Raullaur says. "As for handling things...we're doing good here, and earning money. I eventually want enough and enough power to set up a place we can live...outside the city, a new tribeland. For the rest...they are interesting, and I'm enjoying getting to know them."
Ignis Ignis falls silent as he considers Raullaur and his words and then looks away in thought, "Familiar words.." he muses before looking back, "Land is not easily obtained without some sort of exchange. It usually already belongs to someone else or is in close proximity to another. Where do you plan to set this Prideland up? Mind you, Creation is vast..true enough..but..a visible kingdom ruled by a Solar can attract a certain amount of attention. If I may ask, where are your original Pridelands?"
Raullaur "South of here, int he Savannahs between the forests and the land of the Cattle God. But most of the tribe was captured by the Guild. I followed them with the remnants north and attacked, liberating the rest of my people. And then, wel...came here to work against them. We...need to hunt, to be safe, so...we will need to find and exchange things...this I know."
Ignis "But you are Exalted now and of the Dawn as well. We are the warriors and generals of The Unconquered Sun. Surely a mercenary group will seem too small for you." offers Ignis, "Is your land truly lost to you? Perhaps soon your destiny will draw you to reclaim what you have lost?" Ignis shakes his head and looks away, "We're not told by The Sun what we are to do. But to seek greatness comes naturally to us. A warehouse in Great FOrks will seem too small for you very soon.. Not when you can command armies that can challenge The Realm. In time. The Wyld Hunt and other factors do remain things to be cautious of but..one still can look to the future.."
Raullaur Raullaur snorts. "Maybe too small, but...they're my people. The day I do not look out for them is the day I fail them, and am no longer worthy of them. Chosen of Sun or no." He nods. "I want to learn. Want to go to the Wyld and test myself there. THe Realm? Maybe one day. All of Creation is out there...but my people have faith with me, and I will not break it.
Ignis "That's not my point." counters Ignis, "I would never suggest that you don't look out for your people. But consider this? You have Exalted for a reason. Any mortal leader of men worth his salt will care for them but what will ultimately drive you? Have you not wondered why the Dragons fear us so? As one who has the command of people..surely you can see the patterns and where things lead?"

Ignis quiets in thought and then holds aloft his sword, "THis is Ein Solus. I know it belonged to a prior incarnation who once ruled a swatch of Creation near to the Wyld and with estates this far into the Scavenger Lands. Now I have this sword and dreams of a utopia that once was. I question if I should pursue this dream or if its destruction is forever fated. But I must be more then just the son of a dead Scavenger Lord turned adventurer. Somehow.."

Raullaur "Fair enough, but...I fear that if my eyes see too uch of the world, only the powerful, then I will lose sight of those close to me." He nods at the sword and then draws his own. "I don't know the name, or history of my sword or armor. Perhaps I forge new legends. But no matter who or what I become beyond what I am now...I must still, always, be my people's chief. Warleader."
Ignis "I understand.. and I'm not going to instill doubt in you. You must find your own path just know that... holding yourself back from seeing the world as it is..is an impossiblity now. You would not have Exalted if it were possible to do so." cautions Ignis, "You are among The Chosen now and so you can no more restrain yourself then stop the sun from rising. You are of the Dawn now. But I think that..you need not fear for your people. You can strengthen them, make them stronger and bring them with you. In fact...you will probably have no choice. As the wonders of Creation unfold to you...you will have to do so for them to remain by your side."
Raullaur Raullaur nods. "I want to lift them up. To have them be strong. To run with me, fight with me, so that at their roars even the Dragons tremble," Raullaur says. "Perhaps they will never be as strong as I. But already I would match them against any unit their size in Creation, that did not have anyone chosen by the Sun, Moon, or Dragons in it.
Ignis "That sounds impressive." Ignis nods, "..The time may yet come when that is put to the test as well. Fortunantely Great Forks offers us some sanctuary, if only slight. But when we have time on our side it certainly changes the odds quite abit where matters like The Wyld Hunt are concerned." Ignis ponders this in thought and then says, "At any rate, your people are fortunante to have you, Raullaur. And with the happenings around here that have yet to be fully resolved, another of The Chosen who has a solid head on their shoulders is only a good thing. I'm sure Bright Journey, Spring Wind and the others would agree with me."
Raullaur Raullaur grunts. "Well, still learning what all this means, but...I;ll protect my folk, gain power and glory, and, if I can, crush the Guild who thought we could be taken. But beyone that...still learning. Rishi's been helping me, and I should go look for her agian."
Ignis "Rishi is amazing, yes. Still..I find that we all have wildly varied perspectives on some things. In time you will find your path. There's much to learn but at least there are those willing to teach and listen to what you have to say. There are many who do not think kindly of The Guild. You'll find many interested in aiding you should you lean heavily that way."

Something seems to catch Ignis' eye elsewhere and he glances that way before turning t Raullaur, "IF you'll excuse me.."

Ein Solos rings softly as he resheathes the ornate daiklaive and then turns to approach what appears to be some sort of local arena worker who is nearing the two and had been waiting for a moment to speak to Ignis.
