Wind It was a busy night in the tavern, the band barely making themselves heard over the crowd sheltering from the rain as servers wind there way through the crowd. In this noise there's one area of calm a table on the second floor with a group of seven armed individuals sitting around it and at the head of the table sits wind lounging back with her feet on the table.
Flame of Peace A man in voluminous robes notes the odd figures, and slides over towards them. Curiousity is evident in the way he stands, and oddly enough for a man in a bar, he is not currently holding any form of alcoholic beverage. "Greetings." He speaks, in a rasping voice.
Tolon Tolon is in town to trade, which means for the minute at least behaving. He walks across the bar taking in the room. He leans on the bar calling loudly for the barman as he looks over the drinks.
Wind The table falls quiet and a couple of hands rest on their weapons as the stranger approaches, Wind unmoved gives the stranger a long appraising look before she responds, "Greetings, is there something you needed?" before she takes a long draft from her mug.
Flame of Peace "A story would be nice. You look like the kind to travel and have such tales. I also might at some stage want to ship out some jewelry, although that is probably less interesting if you aren't a mercenary outfit." The masked man responds.
Wind "We all have stories but not ones we tend to share with strangers as that isn't my trade." she deftly kicks a chair out towards Flame, "We aren't a mercenary outfit however I am someone who can arrange safe transport of your goods, if the price is right" she motions for him to take the seat.
Flame of Peace Flame of Peace sits down. "Curious. If you don't mind my asking, what are you then?" He begins messing around with a piece of metal wire, produced from the depths of his robes.
Wind Wind gives an inscrutible smile as he eyes linger briefly on the metal wire, "I am a capable individual with access to the resources needed to accomplish the task you need done. Now tell me how does a reputable jeweler find himself trawling through the taverns of Nexus for people willing to transport his goods?"
Flame of Peace Flame of Peace chuckles. "Whoever said I was reputable? I'm very good at what I do, but I don't seek fame. It distracts me from my studies, you see..." Flames flicker to life in his hands for an instant, and he uses them to soften the wire a bit before going back to working on the hot metal.
Wind Wind nods "Perhaps the word I was looking for would be "legitimate" but not that it matters really, well you'll be glad to hear my services come with a guarantee of discretion and I don't ask questions byond those needed to do the job." Wind brings the mug to her lips once more finishing it before tossing it to one of her companions who deftly ctaches it and goes to get another.
Tolon Tolon had been drinking quietly, yet the sound of half a dozen of his tribe entering the tavern with shouts for drinks grabs his attention. Tolon smiles waving them over. They speak quietly until finally taking their drinks and seeking out a table for all of them. It's not hard to tell this isn't the first drink of the day for many of them.
Wind Wind looks over from Flame as a exceptionally rowdy crowd seem to have entered. Wind gets a whiff of trouble from them but remains settled she motions for two of her crew to keep a discreet eye on them before returning to discussing business with Flame.
Tolon The group aren't trouble at first, finding their table they take to drinking and playing games of skill with their knives. Tolon doesn't take part, watching the others with amusement, yet thinking over other things. The mood changes quickly however as a couple of the group begin to mumble about being stared at. Apparently the group watching them weren't quite discreet enough.
Wind Wind's crew continue to keep an eye on them but when it becomes apparent they've been noticed one nods to the other who comes back to Wind. Wind turns to her man who leans down and whispers in her ear, she shrugs and orders them to keep watch but excuses herself from flame as she moves to lean on the balcony looking out over the tavern crowd.
Tolon Tolon listens to the complaints of an audience and then he rises from his seat with a frown. "They're staring because you're acting like children who can't handle watered down mares milk." He points to the first to complain about the staring. "And don't think I don't know your plan. If you want to start a fight it will be with me." With that he moves from the table "I will get more drinks. No trouble." He moves towards the table Wind had been seated at "Apologies for my friends. They're drunk and never comfortable this penned in. They won't be trouble." He speaks loudly enough to be heard by Wind. He also grabs one of the servers to get another round.
Wind Wind turns to Tolon, "That's for the best, I wouldn't want my friends to have to kick them out, could get messy." She leans back on the balcony, "You don't seem like a local boy, what brings you here?"
Tolon Tolon seems amused at Winds words. "It would get very messy. Let's not dwell on what won't happen." He shrugs. "No, not local. I'm here trading. We managed to collect much of what we needed before coming here, but we look to sell what we won't use." He smiles to Wind. "I am Tolon of the Kete tribe Tolon."
Wind Wind smiles, "I agree and well Nexus does bring in all sorts. I'm Wind of the Viridian Ghosts down from Halta originally we make ourselves useful such as places like this pay us to keep an eye on things hence my crew keeping an eye on your fellows but they'll back off." She gestures to the two to come back to the table.
Tolon Tolon laughs. "A messy job. I haven't been in a bar brawl for a while, but I seem to recall they end badly for most involved." He smiles. "I shall have drinks sent to your table if you'd permit it? I and my boys won't be here much longer in any case."
Wind Wind nods, "To be honest there aren't many who can give my crew much trouble especially with me here, Drinks would be welcome and you're as welcome here as anywhere else, but good luck in your travels and We spend a lot of time outside the city too so I'll keep an eye out for the Kete tribe in future."
