Rishi In the morning, when all are gathered for breakfast, there is a knock on the door. Once opened, Rishi comes inside. While her vast Lunar stamina and moonsilver sheathing prevent her from looking particularly tired, it's fairly clear that she was up all night helping with the guards and any others here who might have been in need. It's pretty clear that she, too could use some rest. Looking around the room, she cocks her head to the side consideringly, then turns to face Yim Ashuria, leans forward, and sniffs her. Several times.
A perplexed look crosses her face, as she calls out to where Ammy is seated, "Ammy, were you not telling us that your mother was being a Raksha? I was being most prepared that I might be needing to be eating her" she looks back at Ammy's mother "Temporarily of course. The Fae are not usually respecting anything but strength. I am being sure you are knowing how it is."
Black Pearl Black Pearl looks well-rested, and also unsurprised at Rishi's revelation. Still, it is not for her to reveal all of the hostess's secrets. "In some ways, that makes things easier. In others, more difficult. Still, I think that we all want...similar things, so I suspect that we will not have to fight, unless the city is attaked again." She eats lightly, partaking of the food and drink.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk walks in shortly after Rishi does. She has none of the weariness that Rishi does but has definatly been missing most of the night. She walks over to Amethyst and with a flourish to make any magician jealous pulls a large banner out of a pouch on her belt to smll to hold the banner. "I followed the Raksha back to their staging area. I took this from them without being seen. I hope it helps to identify the enemy. I have more to share but it can wait until everyone has broken their evening fast." She walks over to the place that has been set for her and sits down to eat.
Fudou the Mountain Feigning disinterest despite..actually simply being a touch oblivious to any of the nuance and particualrs going on, Fudou mostly busies himself by sampling any food or dishes made available or brought his way. He seems rather well off physically, as one might expect given his particular physical proportions and capabilities.. but he's also in his hybrid form..a mere step away from the out right aggression or utility afforded by a dedicated war form. THis likely sends enough social cues to his guests to..tread carefully with him but he seems peacable and content to listen.

His ears twitch slightly as Silk Moon arrives and he inclines his head before asking, "So..this is an ongoing fued between two groups of Raksha?"

Bright Journey Sitting at breakfast, Bright Journey looks calm, relaxed, and reasonably well-rested. She's bent over her plate, having just taken a bite, when Rishi does her impersonation of a particularly persistent and curious dog. She coughs and chokes for a moment, thumping her chest in plain distress.

After a moment, she starts to breathe again, giving Rishi the most comically incredulous look. "Rishi, dear. -Please-. Just...please. Sit down. Have breakfast. So long as it does not involve...well, -that-.

Bright does at least brighten up when she sees Silk walk in. She gives the dark-haired woman a brilliant grin. "Well, well! We missed you in the fracas yesterday, but it sounds like you had things well in hand. I'm glad to see you're safe. Really, I should know better than to worry."

Bright gives Fudou a look of concern, but decides, probably wisely that he probably doesn't want to be addressed at the moment. She gives him a nod when he looks at her, but otherwise leaves him be for the moment.

Amethyst "I've said several times that she's a Dream-Souled, one of both Creation and the Wyld." Amethyst looks back at Rishi, and then she has a thought, "...You guys do know what they are, right? I'm not the only one who's heard of them?"

Ashuria just blankly stares at Rishi. "You know, I don't need to be a fae for you to eat me. But I must say that it would not be wise to try. The last one who tried died of of a terrible poison that left him in agony in his final moments, and I just simply cut my way out of his stomach." She says in a reassuring tone, not that anything she said was reassuring. "But rest assured that we should not need to come to blows. And do note that Raksha or no we are still bound by the oaths of old." She gestures at Bright.

And she furrows her eyebrows as she looks over the banner. "So they've gotten bold enough to attack the city itself, hmm? Another court has hated us ever since they discovered who and what we are. But for many decades they've been busy squabbling among each other to pose any true danger to us. But their attacks on us have become more recent, and most have bared this very flag." ]

Rishi Rishi tilts her head, considering, her moonsilver hair flowing over her moonsilver encased body as she does, "I am not being certain that you have explained the Dream Souled to us, no."
To Ashuria, Rishi nods. "Yes, that is being often how you are having to be dealing with the Fae. Thus my preparations." She looks over at the war banner, her head tilted again. "It appears that they will be of use. I imagine eating their current leader will be causing them to fall back into the backstabbing of each other that is usually being how such groups are working?"

Rishi nods at Silk and Bright, "I'm glad you are being safe as well, Silk. You can be leading us to them? I will be needing the breakfast and the nap before I am being ready to travel."
Black Pearl "No, I've never heard of them," Black Pearl says. "And I am not sure I remember you mentioning this before." She gives a warm smile, and then one to Fudou, but otherwise leaves him be, to not be...irked. "I am afraid I cannot do anything as...spectacular as the others. If there is fighting to be done.." She looks down, "I hate to admit it, but I would be completely useless."
Fudou the Mountain The stern looking lunar behemoth meets Bright's gaze and holds it for a few seconds.

He then smiles at her, his expressive features pulling back into an honest grin that offers no menace even if it's coming from a fifteen foot or so wall of slightly furred muscle.

"And I am of no good during most negotations or efforts that require delicate subterfuge." he offers as he hears Black Pearl. "Don't under sell yourself, luv. Even the Exalted must learn to fit in as piecs of the larger puzzle, yeh?"

He leans forward now, vast weight rumbling and rocking the area such as it is as he peers over the gathered group, "I wager that if it was as easy as just killing them..they'd already be dead Rishi, hmm? Perhaps there is a larger issue at hand here."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods to Bright "My fighting style isn't open area friendly so I figured I would follow the ones that fled to find out more about them."
She turns to Rishi "I'm afraid that is the opposite of what happened. They want to stage a frontal assault upon the city and send assassins in to kill all of the dream-souled. They plan to seek out allies and create more ravagers and Raksha. They intend to wait for us to leave before they attack." Silk thinks about it for a moment. "I've heard of the Dream-Souled, but only in legend from my grandfather. I'm sure everything he said was Immaculate Order propaganda so I don't believe any of it. They do not ride on the backs of demons and command armies of the fae from what I have seen."
"Bright, as guests in a foreign land, this is not my area of expertise. How do we proceed?" Silk starts eating her breakfast.
Bright Journey Bright simply nods in acknowledgment to Fudou, and gives him a grin in return. Bright might not be one for minimal chatting herself, of course, but that doesn't mean she can't accommodate others when necessary.

Instead, she pays more attention to Amethyst, giving her a curious look. "No...I have to admit, I don't think I've heard this one before, either. I wasn't sure who your parents were, Amethyst, and the subject never really came up to ask, but I feel certain I've never heard of the "Dream-Souled" before. Is that anything like the God-Blooded? Technically I am one, but aside from my hair and eye color...well, -former- eye color, it never meant much to me." She shrugs and smiles warmly, though the smile fades as Silk tells Rishi about the attack.

"Hrm. Well, what we -do- about it is something we will all have to discuss as a group. Every one of us, save possibly Pearl, knows battle. War is something very different, or so I've been told. And we might deter them for a time, but...hmm." Bright visibly brightens (ha!) as an idea clearly occurs to her.

"Amethyst. I remember your other reason for coming. That involves the portal idea, does it not? This isn't a -solution-, mind you, but we could string them along, make them think we are staying for quite some time, if we used -that- instead of just...swimming away. And we were thinking of doing something like that already, so nothing lost on that score. That doesn't solve the problem, though..."

Rishi Rishi headtilts, looking at Bright. "Can you not claim the Diplomatic Immunity and treat with them? Perhaps you may be getting them interested in the new game instead of the attacking of the city? Or at least handling the distracting of them, while Silk is deliving the iron daggers into their backs?" She smiles at Pearl. "Or maybe Pearly could be going with you to treat with them all? She is also most good at the talking and convincing."
Amethyst "Us Dream-Souled are shapeshifters and illusion weavers, shapers of the wyld and dreams. Each of us bound by an ideal that empowers us, a dream that we wish to see through. We are as comfortable in the deserts of Creation as we are in the waters of the Wyld, and that very idea terrifies most fae. The ones among our ranks are those who are overly curious about Creation and how 'real' it is, but alas most of those sorts are in Creation somewhere, not here in Elderloch." Ashuria explains.

"Most of us were Dream-Souled in past lives as well, but we are not fortunate enough to simply awaken to our power like the Dragon-Blooded. It takes a careful process of trials and sorcery and shaping to bring one's prior essence into the forefront once more, and generally, once awakened, we will slowly remember their former lives. "

"As far as war goes," Her tone shifts from contemplative to determined, "If it were as simple as defeating their leader, I would be all for it. I would even provide my resources to you lot, and possibly more if I could convince the council of whatever you needed of us. But I fear this issue goes deeper than a single leader. If we attack them, it might provoke more of them to join their cause, and we would face an even stronger threat."

Amethyst herself looks a little... defeated when her mother mentions how one who was once a Dream-Souled becomes one again. Something about that clearly bothers her.

"What if we tried to turn them on themselves? If you break up their alliances then maybe they'll all fall back into old habits. An assassination here, some trickery there. Though, that would mean we would be here for quite a while..." Amethyst rubs her chin. "Maybe our first move should just be to learn more about them?" This is clearly not her specialty.

Black Pearl Black Pearl has been very quiet, nibbling and sipping, but then frowns. She thinks a moment, then looks to Silk, "I think that we could go and infiltrate their camps well, hide our true natures and learn of them, don't you think? See where the fault lines are that could be fractured and exploited. I won't be able to fight when it comes to battle, but at least this way...."
Fudou the Mountain "...Why are they attacking?" asks Fudou, bluntly and abruptly. Perhaps it was said and he missed it or he has not been around and so was not privvy to such information. "There has to be a reason> Is it simply a game to them or is there something they want? The territory? Resources? What is it A feud?" his gaze moves to Amethyst's mother as he speaks, "Simply causing in fighting isn't going to stop anything if a new leader arises who wishes to continue the old methods. You need someone there willing to treat with you who has empathy with your situation and your people. Just killing them or eating them is the same thing. Either you commit to open war to wipe them out or you find a way to co-exist but t'do that you need..what? To know what -they- want..correct?"
Bright Journey Bright looks thoughtful as she crosses her legs at the knees. She tilts her head, frowning, and thinks out loud. "Well, we -could- just go and have a formal diplomatic parlay with them, but that's not step one, I think. I think Silk and Fudou have it nailed on the head, actually. We should learn everything we can about them first. They may know we're here but they can't know much more than that about us, and I want them to know as little as possible!" She grins wickedly. "Besides, ask anyone who has dealt with talking to people. Knowing as much about them going in can make all the difference."
Silk Moon Lotus Pearl and I could certainly disguise ourselves as members of the Raksha's war party and sneak in. We can cause all kinds of havok, possibly even putting them at odd against each other. Alternately, we could gather intelligence to bring back. It really depends on what we need.
Amethyst "As far as I know," Ashuria starts, "What they want is for us Dream-Souled to be no more. There used to be a lot more of us here, but the majority were eaten during the Balorian Crusade. It's some sort of philosophical thing for them, sorta how we'd all be pretty upset if the fae were able to bring Creation back into the wyld."
Rishi Rishi nods. "If you are needing any of the advise on the disguising, perhaps I can be helping? I am knowing much about the anatomy." She smiles, then considers. "If we are thinking that poisoning them is being the option, is there being a place here where we can be finding the iron? Fudou can be grinding it into the powder, if no one else can. Then you just sprinkle it on whatever the Fae are pretending to be eating."
Rishi headtilts. "If it is being the fundamental philosophical dispute, I am not sure what we can be doing to them... Using the Sorcery to rewrite those Raksha into being helpful would be very difficult. I am only being able to be eating one of them at the time." She sighs and looks at Ammy. "I wish you had been able to be getting Frosty to be coming. She is being much the better at dealing with the spirits and the Fae." She gives Bright a look. "Bright, can you be very convincing at them?"
Fudou the Mountain "Yes that is..a more extreme situation then I first thought." considers Fudou, "..That is..intended genocide. That's not likely to be changed with a simple visit or threat. There are none among themt hat might have sympathy for the Dream Souled and be willing to forge a sort of neutral state? If not that ties our hands. Negoations is off the table, we're forced to either change them or destroy them."
Amethyst "Well, I did want to make the portal, but I'd need material to do so. I didn't bring enough with me to truly establish a workshop of my..." And Amethyst looks around for a moment, "Own." And she looks at her mother with big eyes and her ears down.

Ashuria sighs and nods, "Yes, daughter, you can use my workshop to do your sorcery." She just sorta rubs her face. "You don't need to try to look cute every time you want something."

Amethyst hmphs. And looks towards the others, "Alas, I can't be in two places at once. Perhaps I should stay here and work on establishing a portal back to Great Forks, while you guys go do recon? I'm sure Rishi can help you 'blend in' as it were, and I have no doubts that Bright can be convincing."

And Amethyst's mother stares at her blankly, "Wait, you're going to try doing /what/? You know making a portal is well that's beyond your ken." And now the two are staring intently at each other, both of them with ears drawn back.

Bright Journey Bright gets this absolutely adorable little pouty smile she doesn't typically wear, as soon as Rishi asks her. Her expression turns almost comically wry as she replies, "Rishi. You know I like to just chat and be casual and not stress about things if I can help it. That's kind of part of the secret. But if you wanted to convince a rock it can fly like a bird, I dare say I might be able to manage it. At least until it rolls off a cliff."

Bright shrugs and eats another forkful of breakfast. "In all honesty, I want to learn more--much more--about who and what these creatures are before we decide what exactly to do about them. If you think the best bet is for me to try to convince them to play nice, I certainly will. If you want to cut a deal with them--tribute, basically, to keep their flippers out of your home--then I would be happy to consecrate the agreement, and you know what that means, I'm sure. But you know the problem with that approach, don't you?"

Bright looks at Amethyst and her mother right in the eyes, serious now. "They're never going to agree to anything that isn't usurious unless you have the upper hand. So long as they think they're winning by biding their time and getting more allies, diplomacy is not going to end well. You have to have them on the back foot first."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head "A combination of information gathering and opportunity poisoning is the name of the game when you want to have the upper hand in any negotiations that need to take place."
Silk looks at Pearl "Seems those lessons we have been having will come into play sooner than later. I will leave the poisoning to you. I'll handle the pilfering and such."
Silk turns her gaze to Rishi "I'm sure you can assist anyone that needs some enhancements, I have recently figured out how to enhance my natural skills with a little solar essence. I should be able to handle anything for myself."
Silk thinks about something. "Rishi, you said you can only eat one at a time. Why does that matter? can you take their shape after you eat them?"
Bright Journey Looking up at Amethyst and her mother squaring off, Bright looks unhappy for a moment, but gets up and goes over to the pair of them to intervene.

"Please, relax, Ms. Yim. I think you would be pleasantly surprised at just how adept Amethyst is at sorcerous workings by now, and rest assure she is not the only sorceress here! Not by a long shot. Several of us will be lending her a hand."

Fudou the Mountain The huge lunar makes a dismissive gesture, leaning back now, "If all they want is their destruction and if the conflict is over ideals and not philosphy then there's little that can be done diplomatically. THey're going to throw themselves at the sitaution even -if- they are on the back foot because they're fighting for something intangible. They may very well think that their kind will continue to reinforce them. That even if they fall..more will come." Fudou ponders this and then hoods his eyes and smirks mildly as the lightning betings to fly between Amethyst and her mother. He grins lightly as Bright intervenes and then continues, "I agree on recon and tipping matters in against them while doing so. You may yet discover something they want -more- then the destruction of the Dream Souled."
Amethyst Ashuria sighs, and nods, "Just keep an eye on her. It's beyond what I can do myself, too." She looks at Amethyst and shakes her head, and looks back to the rest of the group "Good news is that disguising yourself shouldn't be terribly difficult. We have an archive of the various sorts of forms they like to take. And if you do manage to pull this off, it might be all the better for getting the rest of the council to figuring out how to fix my daughter's soul."
Rishi Rishi headtilts at Silk. "Ah. No. The Fae are being more like the Spirits. I can only be taking the forms of the things that are ...solid. Things that are being Of Creation." She gives a rather worrying smile. "But, as the spirits are being mostly of the Essence, I have done the learning of them, to be holding them within myself. After that, they can be learning the lesson...or I can be finishing the meal.
Fudou the Mountain "Which is of course dangerous and deadly to the fae in question. But less a concern of theirs if they are enveloped by hundreds of their brethren waving wyld sharpened weapons in your direction." cautions Fudou, "So a great option to have at the ready but not one I would formulate an entire plan around. Not at least until we know better what we are dealing with and possibly who.."
Silk Moon Lotus The combination of the grin on her face with the cast of her eyes makes Silk's face look almost evil. "Then Pearl and I should start planning our part of this operation. We should be able to go over what is in the archives and get proper disguises put together for ourselves."
"Right, so if we can get some of the changed ones that were mortals to come out on patrol or we found out where the patrol is going to be, you could ambush them and take their forms?"
Bright Journey Bright looks thoughtful, then nods slowly. "Silk and Pearl, I rather like that idea. We really need to learn more about them, and I especially need to know a lot more about what makes them tick. But if I call for hospitality and then the poison happens, the hospitality is gone. It can't be wielded like a weapon that way. Might be better to use that afterwards, when we're trying to convince them they can't take this place. Still not sure what tack I want to take with them..."

Bright watches Silk and Pearl plan and can't help but get a little smile. She doesn't intrude further on their planning, but instead looks to Ashuria. "Ms. Yim, I think we have several avenues of attack, and in case it needed to be said, we hardly need to be convinced to help you out. We're just nice people like that." She chuckles. "And Amethyst would give is Philters of Flatulence or something if we didn't. As to the portal, though, that will take time. Weeks. It sounds like that is something to happen a bit later, anyway."

Amethyst "At least we'll still be here if they try to attack while I'm building it. But I dunno if any of us have ever fought an entire army before." Amethyst muses. "So lemme summarize, Silk and Pearl will infiltrate them, learn what they can, poison important folks, and then get out and report back to us."

"Meanwhile I'll be here with Rishi and whoever else wants to help me with the portal trying to get everything in place so it works." Amethyst says. "I dunno what you and Fudou will be doing."

"I'll go and report our findings and see about bolstering Elderloch's defenses, just in case." Ashuria says. "Having an army to fight another army would be handy, no?" She grins.

Rishi Rishi looks between Ammy and her mother and smiles. "Ah, good. You have done the talking about that then? Ammy, have you been telling your Mother of your adventures? And that you have awakened the Blood of the Dragons?" Rishi looks back at Ashuria. "You should be knowing that she has succeeded in performing a Working of the Celestial level. She is most accomplished in the Sorcery and was wishing to be getting the formal acknowledgement from your Sorcerers. I am being most sorrowful that we have allowed the problems to be distracting us from this. I think she was also desireful of seeing you once more."
Rishi sighs and considers Silk. "Yes, I *could* be doing that. I am not liking to be killing people though. I save the lives instead of ending them." she sighs harder. "But, if it is necessary and these people cannon be saved from their choices... Well, I shall be doing what is needed too."
