Tolon Tolon has camped a good way from the city, it's not exactly comforting for a city to have an army camped nearby. So, when Tolon arrives back amongst the tents he's quick to tend to his horse, watching the groups of people training as he does so. There's no denying they look like a military unit, the men and women ride circuits shooting targets and swinging swords through dummies as they ride at speed. Their accuracy is fairly impressive on the whole, even the children are riding similiar if smaller circuits, others cook, or tend to weapons and armour. Tolon takes it all in happily as he heads to his tent, saddle slung over his shoulder he offers an approving grin to a few children as they spar.
Caeleen Selena Perhaps some in the camp would have felt eyes upon them all day long. Perhaps not. Whatever the case, as Tolon reaches his Tent and opens the flap...

Well. Nothing's out of order exactly. But somewhere, there's a bird where there should be no bird. A ruby-throated hummingbird is daintily perched on whatever eye-level furnishings there might be. Most likely a desk.

Should he take note of the creature, it dips down and turns its head sideways to fix him with a piercing LOOK. A look that almost seems to ask, 'what TOOK you so long?'

Wind A tribe roaming the region selling what they collect felt like something to keep an eye on. Wind had set out from Nexus early following the river figuring it would be a logical place to make camp as she enters the wilderness proper she begin's being more cautious in her approach sticking to cover and the shadows where available until finally the camp comes into view and judging by the appearance of its inhabitants Wind figured she'd found what she was looking for.
Tolon Tolon drops the saddle, his hand moving to rest on his sword. "It is rare that I find my tent occupied, I take it you have a good reason for being in my tent." He smiles faintly. "I will admit I am impressed that you got so far without my people filling you with arrows. They're generally quite good at that." The patrols will be in trouble, though it's possible they'll be in worse if a second arrival gets by them without raising alarm.
Caeleen Selena The hummingbird is only mildly perturbed at this show of apparent hostility. It flutters its wings as though flattered by the praise.. And then...

It speaks? A rich but playful female voice answers him. "Oh come now, chief. With your looks and skills, having visitors cannot be THAT uncommon." Is the bird... flirting? At the very least, she's affecting harmless in tone.

"I mean no harm." The bird hops free of its perch... and melds outwards, form melting and smoothly shifting. Feathers recede into flesh, a the beak shrivels into lips... in a matter of moments, Caeleen Selena stands in the tent, hands folded across her lap, tattoos on display and fox ears twitching merrily in a show of openness.

"You've been the talk of the town recently. Several towns. Not always a pleasant topic. Quite an impressive feat for a man your age!"

Wind With a small focusing of her essence Wind moves past the patrols with ease, her passage absolutely silent. once she reached the tents weaving between them was a simple matter using her familiarity with military camps she begins moving towwards where she feels the leaders tent would be. Passing through the camp even more subtly than her namesake, if all went to plan no one eould know she was ever there.
Tolon Tolon grunts, going from casual to alert in a moment, he doesn't hide is surprise, but there's no trace of fear, or even worry. "You should travel to the Hundred Kingdoms, there I am spoken of even more commonly." He smiles. "I hd found the humming bird good fortune, they're good eating. You however are... More worrying." He seems to consider the woman for a long moment. "I lead exceptional people. I like to think I lead them well." He shrugs a shoulder, his hand not leaving his sword, his attention turns to the bottle of wine. "Since you seem to be a guest for the moment, have a drink." He doesn't sound friendly. "What do you want?"
Once among the tents, Wind will find less observant watchers, it's where people relax after all.
Caeleen Selena Selena curls her lip ever so slightly at the 'good eating' comment. Wondering if that was a jab? or perhaps a threat? Nevertheless, she drifts across the tent floor to the offered offered battle with a merry look in her eyes. "My gratitude for the hospitality!" She's doing her best to catch his eye... because when next he gets a good look at her, it's as though the rest of the tent has become dim and pale, drab and unsuited to framing the vision of youthful loveliness that's giving him a heartwarming and completely innocent smile.

She will, of course, take a sip of the offered wine... but not very much. She doesn't look to have a very good constitution for holding her alcohol... is that maybe why?

"I came to see what sort of man is at the heart of the rumors, of course." She answers.

Wind Wind blew threw the camp quickly and silently before finally finding her target, waiting outside the tent she could hear voices inside and decided to wait and see if an opportune moment to sneak inside would present itself.
Tolon Tolon laughs at the comment. "You didn't consider that such a man would be prone to violence?" He obviously relaxes a little, his hand leaving his sword. "I suspect you will be disappointed. I neither eat babies, nor liberate slaves from their oppressors." He settles onto the floor, resting against the rolled and padded sheepskin 'chairs' that are around the tent.
Caeleen Selena "Oh, I've had a few tussles with violent men. Figured I'd be alright, come what may!" Selena brushes off the comment airily and moves to take a seat after straightening her Kimono a little, using one of the padded 'chairs' of course.

Her eyes gleam with amusement at the humorous choice of words. "Of course not. Why do what brings no gain, hm?" Once again she folds her hands across her lap now that she's seated.

"You're taking this intrusion remarkably well. Surely you have guessed your guest's nature by now. And yet... not a scrap of fear. Curious. Are you that confident in your skills and your men?"

Wind Wind waits for her moment then when a stkff breeze catches the tent flap opening it just enough she breezes in naturally slipping unnoticed into a chair, "well Tolon a pretty nice encampment you have here." she nods to the stranger witb conspicuous tattoos.
Tolon Tolon laughs with a shrug of his shoulder. "I suspect I know what you are. I also know better than to trust legends." He pauses a moment, considering Caeleen. "Lets assume you could kill me, I will fight it as well as I can and die. If I can defeat you, there is no reason to fear. If we don't fight, there is again no reason to fear." Tolon chuckles. "I however am always confident in my abilities."

Tolon rises, drawing his sword as another person enters his room unannounced, he seems less than amused. His sword leveling at Wind. "I am beginning to think that perhaps there is more here than simple visits to my tent. I have never been that popular." He speaks through gritted teeth, letting out a loud whistle as he finishes. "Now, why don't you explain why you are both here before I signal for my people to enter my tent with indiscrimnate and extreme violence?"

Caeleen Selena WHOOOOOSH goes the Wind. And it gets Selena turning her head at just the right moment to see, seated in a chair...

"...BUWAH!?!" Her ears straighten and tail thwacks the chair's side as she stands in a hurry, the smooth and friendly demeanor melting a little in favor of just PURE SHOCK.

Someone managed to sneak up on her.

The Lunar's eyes rapidly flick up and down to take in this sight. Shaven - like a monk? But a raggled uniform... and a weapon that no monk would ever wield. Probably. Still, she sees the jade circlet.

"I already explained myself!" She exclaims, sounding mildly affronted at Wind's intrusion. And pursing her lips. Definitely considering immediate flight.

But after a bunch of rapid thinking, she goes and does the less wise thing. And does NOT flee. "... I didn't hear a single voice call out in alarm out there. Sneaking through the camp, sneaking up on me... WHAT are you?"

Wind Wind meets Tolon's gaze with an enigmatic smile, "oh really Tolon I thought you were smarter than this. I just walked through your camp and sentries like they weren't there if I meant you harm do you really think I'd gave sat down and greeted you?" She looks over at the Lunar with an appraiding eye, "I'm someone in possession of many talents."
Tolon Tolon takes a breath. "I am not assuming you mean my harm, though it isn't to be dismissed as a possibility. More I want to know what is going on, why are either of you here." He glances to Caeleen. "And don't think I have forgotten you still haven't explained why you're here." He then looks back to Wind. "I have spent my day in the stinking cramped city and now I find strangers sneaking into my tent. I feel rather justified in being... Angry at this intrusion. So let us all start from the beginning. Why are each of you sneaking into my tent? And why shouldn't I consider this a deeply and shockingly unacceptable intrusion." He shakes his head slowly. "Then we will move onto how you got here." He motions to Wind before pointing at Caeleen. "And why an Anathema would want to visit with me?"
Caeleen Selena For some reason or another, Selena is no longer so calm. Being one-upped like this has her fixing Wind with a look that's practically a scowl. "Hm." She plants a hand on her hip, still sizing up Wind... "My words were for the chief. I'll not spout them off before a stranger. As for an intrusion... oh, it's quite alright if you do. Though... call me that disgusting word again and I'll see to it that you can't sit down straight for a week. My name is Selena!"

She fixes Tolon with the scowl too, but there's only a tiny hint of danger in her posture. She... probably wouldn't go that far?

Wind "and here I was hoping to just drop in for a chat and now it's all bluster and questions. I'm here to check out the army sat within matching distance of the city then I thought I'd drop by to say hello." Wind reclines back apparently fully relaxed at the situation.
Tolon Tolon takes a breath and speaks calmly. "You sneak into my tent and threaten me. I am a patient man, but you are pushing me. I suggest you cease." He looks at Wind with a nod. "A reasonable concern. Unless you took the time to know the army in question. I and the Kete in general have never once sat within marching distance of somewhere they attacked. We came here to trade, we are doing nothing but camping here. You would have been better served to announce yourself and ask of our intentions. You would recieve a warmer welcome. Or to leave without coming within my tent. I take it you've traveled the camp and seen our layout?"
Caeleen Selena "Only an idiot would take an army any closer and actually think to attack Nexus." Selena announces, as though this should be common knowledge. "Of course they're not here to cause trouble. The Emissary would not take kindly to it. Did you not hear of the demon invasion and what happened? A mighty demon cast down from the skies."

Exhaling, she takes a seat once more, again pursing her lips. "I did say I wanted to take your measure, didn't I? A man who's ready for a visitor shows only what he wants visitors to see. What good would it do me? But I see now, it's reason and wisdom that guides your actions. Not pride, greed, or grandeur. Very interesting. The river kingdoms ought to be wary."

Wind "That assumes Nexus was my concern but regardless the honesty of people is never to be assumed. I could have left and you would never have been the wiser and yet here I am."
Tolon Tolon nods with a grin to Wind. "And that would have been wiser." He does return his sword to its sheath. "We expect people to watch us, to measure us, we do not take intrusion so well." He then looks at Caeleen with a grin. "I care little for what others see. I am the man I am, it matters little what others care. I will not simper or bluster for the benefit of others." He returns to his seat. "You have both intruded upon my rest to essentially get the measure of me and my people." He shrugs a lazy shoulder. "Then know this. I am a proud man, I take pride in my people and what I make of them. You have heard what I have done to my enemies I presume? Most of it is true, I destroy those who would harm my people, I have taken from those who stole from my people and I will continue to do so. This is because I am proud, I am proud enough to believe my people should not need fear anyone. I do this because justice demands it, I will do this so Creation fears to cross the Kete for fear of our response. If necessary I shall bring all to heel." He grins almost warmly. "That said, Nexus has never done anything other than offer us good trade. Why would I attack that?" He focuses on Wind for a long moment. "Now if Nexus wasn't your concern, I find myself wondering, what was?"
Caeleen Selena "You've certainly impressed me!" Selena announces in answer... perhaps brushing off the potential threat in that proclomation? Perhaps. There's a WILD look in her eyes though. One of... appreciation? Though, for what?

"I do think my intrusion would have been far preferable to solitude had we not been so strikingly interrupted, though..."

She too, is fixing Wind with a most curious and examinatory gaze. "... Walking around with sunmetal... able to fool my ears... if I didn't know any better...?"

Wind rolls her eyes, "A lovely speech though some would say the real wisdom would be in recognising the sort of people you want on side but by all means have your sleep if you don't believe I'm worth your time." Wind stands as if preparing to leave.

Tolon Tolon arches an eyebrow as he looks at Wind. "True." He grins. "I appreciate potential friends. Though I would propose there is wisdom in how you approach those potential friends." He rubs the bridge of his nose gently. "I would be very interested in a long, indepth discussion on how such a friendship would form." He looks at Wind. However, perhaps you can understand how your entrance tested my patience and did little to put me at ease? Further, I would also ask if this is not something we can discuss over breakfast? After I have rested. If you would like I can have a tent arranged for you."
Wind Wind smiles, "everything's a test Tolon it's the game we play. a tent would bd appreciated and we can spesk more later"
Caeleen Selena Selena's ears flatten as she gives Wind a somewhat sour glare. "... Wait your turn next time." The Lunar finally grouches out.
