Fudou the Mountain Many are the routes that lead to and from Great forks, wending and winding their way through the sprawling expanse of the East. From hamlet to hamlet, across river, through forest, plains and occasionally rocky mountainous terrains with massive cliffs and jutting mesas that cast deep shadows into the canyons the rough hewn roads find themselves twisting their way through.

One such road has a slight problem. A landslide, whether by natural occurance, supernatural mischief or mortal foolishness, has sent a wall of boulders and dirt piling upon the road twice as high as a Guild Wagon is tall, effectively blocking the path from all but the most daring climbers willing to attempt to scale the cliffs on either side or climb the roadblock themselves. It basically cannot be passed by conventional means, forming an issue for any merchants and caravans looking to take this route - creating a lengthy detour that is sure to foul up most peoples day.

Thus when Fudou the Mountain arrives, having been traveling the road on his own with a massive bag of supplies slung over his shoulders, he spends a few minutes examining the wall and then sets the bag down and then his own massive frame squashes down atop a large boulder upon which he begins fiddling with the bag until he removes some sort of smoke pipe. The irony being that..there really is no purpose this for him. He's far from hindered in regards to his ability to travel and avoid such obstacles.

This isn't to say, however, that he is not a sight to behold. A hulking frame with slabs of muscles that would put a roided out Yeddim to shame, tattered garments worn by travel held by thick rope belts and giantish size that casts shadow over those who carefully meander around him on this blocked route all draw gazes his way but he seems unbothered and simply continues blowing fumes of smoke from broad nostrils.

Tepet Makara In the outskirts near Great Forks, a pterodactyl covered in moon silver markings is seen flying in the above while soaring into a nearby forest to land. Once the flying reptilian lands on it's talons, it sudddenly disappears only for a scarred man in a gray kimono with a particular symbol on it exiting the forest as if he didn't witness the whole thing. "This isn't Greyfalls but at least it's enjoyable from what I heard...hopefully with less Cynis debauchery" He gives a casual insult to the House he's currently working for while examining his environment hoping for the absence of nearby witnesses. The dynast would then head for the road leading to the city where gods, their champions, and their worshippers walk together but has to be careful especially with his choice of words, as the gods and their divine heroes outnumber him. Despite his wishes that he's all alone, he would see a strangely gargantuan man examining the blocked road but then realizes he has to take a detour but at least he's not riding a wagon or any other vehicle. Although e is impressed that this giant stranger was able to overcome the obstacle. "I guess I have to climb or find a separate route, one of my few experiences is with a similar obstacle is with the mountains of the North" He sighs while looking at the man, wishing he hadn't revered to his true shape yet while looking back at the forest, hoping to use it as a private spot to use his flying shape.
Lin When calamity, even minor calamity, strikes Great Forks, it doesn't take long for news to spread to the right people. Being a bit of a jack of all trades when it comes to engineering problems and solutions, Lin has accepted the task of evaluating the situation and rectifying it.

She arrives by swift-moving horse-drawn carriage, hopping out of the rear and directing the driver to pull back further away until she hails its return, lest more rocks come tumbling down the cliffs.

"What a mess! And what could've caused it?"

And more importantly, who on the other side can't get in? How big is the debris pile? Lin finds herself gazing up at the mountain of boulders and rubble... and with a cheery kiai, gathers strength in her legs and VAULTS up to the top of it in a single bound. She lands noisily, sending a few small stones tumbling down the far side. They are unlikely to land on anyone.

"Hail down there! I don't suppose you saw what brought all these rocks down, did 'ya?" She shouts, voice easily carrying in the narrow passage down to Fudou and Makara.

Fudou the Mountain "Oooh?"

Lin's sudden arrival pulls the attention of the gargantuan man and he reaces up to pluck his pipe from his broad mouth. Smoke plumes from his nostrils as he exhales, gathering about his head like clouds encircling a mountaim range as a slow smile creeps across his face as he peers towards the woman.

"H'lo there! Now how'd you go about getting up there so quickly, eh?" he rumbles, deep voice vibrating through the area like an amused sounding rumble of the earth.

"Ooh..I don't now what happened. An annoyed god, perhaps? A trap that failed to do its duty and they've long since left? MOst are..finding other ways around but I thought I'd enjoy the sun for abit.."

He flickers the pipe between his fingers, dancing it casually between the tree branch thick meat hooks therein. It's then that he does indeed take note of Makara and he offers the grizzled man a wry grin, "What say you? Did you see anything..unusual?"

Tepet Makara "I don't know, I literally just arrived here" Makara mutters while he withnesses a woman hopping into the top of the giant boulder while jumping off a wagon, impressed by this glorious theatrics. "Wish I could have used a different route, but I guess that's too late for me. Well I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty while climbing it anyway" Even if he wears a mildly expensive kimono, he climbs the boulder as it reminds him of his old days in the North, although it's more warm here rather than feeling the breeze of Mela's direction. "Name's Makara by the way...uh Tepet Makara" He certainly hopes none of the two recognizes his surname for the Realm's presence isn't exactly common here or well liked besides the trade.
Lin Lin leaps down to the far side of the rubble pile in no time, landing a good fifteen feet in front of Fudou and a decent distance from Makara too. "Lots and lots of exercise!" She chimes back at Fudou merrily. Never skip leg day, seriously.

"Looks like it fell pretty recently... eh? Tepet? Where've I heard that family name before...?" The redhead sets about scratching her cheek, but quickly turns her attention more to the big pile of rubble. "Ah, what to do about this though. Let's see... guess I could make some nice archways. Would reinforce the pass walls and use up all this debris..."

Just what IS she babbling about...?

Fudou the Mountain "What's the rush?" asks the giant to both of the newcomers. He has perked up mind you, but he remains perched atop his seat and he grins lightly before rumbling, "There are other routes in and out of Great Forks although this is..not convienent.."

His pipe disappears into his travelling sack and he leans forward, resting a gigantic arm against his leg as he looks over the two travellers, "Did the city send you to fix this problem?" he asks of Lin before looking now to Makara, "And what are you in a rush to do in Great Forks? See the sights? It's a colorful city to be sure.."

Truthfully - the brute probably -could- be attempting to do something about this himself considering the size of him..that much is rather clear. BUt for whatever reason he seems disinclined at the moment and instead gives both of them another full toothed grin.

Lin "Rush? I mean, you guessed it. I'm here to check the situation out and fix it if I can..." Lin seems torn between focusing her attention on the big rockpile and Fudou, glancing between the two several times. Eventually it lands on Fudou... who is simply too large to ignore.

"What the heck does someone gotta EAT to grow up with a physique like that...? Or maybe... divine ancestry? Not uncommon around here..."

Without entirely waiting for a response, Lin wanders over to one of the cliff faces and brings her right hand out near it, pulling back a sleeve to reveal a bracer of Green and White Jade. It glows and glimmers, coming alive and projecting golden chisels and scalpels which begin to carve a detailed engraving into the cliffside, depicting the passage but free of rubble. Instead huge archways criss-cross the passage. The detail is out of this world...

Tepet Makara "I don't know how you would feel about the Princes Of The Earth, but I'm a scion of that Great House...but admittedly not that great for now since we were beaten in the North by the Bull. I was a soldier who once fought in Futile Blood, but I luckily survived and exalted as a Water Aspect even if my age was a bit late at that time" He recounts his experiences where he had to struggle in the harsh cold wastes of the North but was eventually rewarded with an Exaltation. "I merely came here to Great Forks to spend some spare time since I'm on leave from my occupation at Greyfalls, sure the parties of House Cynis can be great sometimes but it sometimes irks me for some reason. Hopefully the city is nice but don't worry, I'm not the type that would spread the teachings of the Immaculate Order like some lunatic" He chuckles for a bit about the Realm's religion, especially since the city of Great Forks is heresy incarnate that would infuriate the most pious members of the order for they dislike the divine intermingling with mortal affairs. Despite some degree of truthfulness of his story, the Tepet "dragon blood" merely told a half truth shrouded by lies for he hides what he really is under a nice smile yet under it is a hidden predator lurking in the depths with it's fangs tainted by venom.
Fudou the Mountain The immense mans eyes seem to light up with curiousity at the wonder being worked by Lin. He looks over the emerging work of art and purses his lips into an 'o' shape as his eyebrows lift higher and higher on his brow. He's so engrossed that at first he only half hears Makara's story. But then his ears perk abit and he turns his head towards the man to focus abit more, even if it takes some effort to do so given Lin's activities.

"So you are Dragonlood, hm?"

Fudou looks amused at some of the words said and then shrugs his monstrous shoulders, rolling them visibly before stating, "You need not pledge if you will spread The IMmaculate teachings or not around here. Great Forks is..diverse..and rather self sufficient. I doubt a single Dynast would come here to attempt to evangalize the entire region and it is not prudent for any sort of war to happen. That being said..'anathema' are said to be about. So I suppose if you're as secular as you're implying you better get used to that thought.." his grin is almost shark like now and he then leans forward and hops off of the boulder he was seated on. His sandled feet impact with a heavy *TOOM* and he begins casually dusting himself off, "Well then..."

Lin Lin casts a glance over at Fudou and Makara a few moments after the word 'Anathema' is thrown around. It's almost a cringe. "Great Forks takes all kinds. Although... the Immaculate Philosophy isn't exactly popular there. There IS a temple, I hear... not sure where it is though." She is, meanwhile, putting the finishing touches on designs that are far more elaborate than they really need to be.

"Huh. This should work, but the only problem is... I'm gonna need to build a scaffolding to make the arches... gotta get all of that stone way up there..."

Tepet Makara "I won't even care if there's an Anathema here anyway, A Wyld Hunt near this place would be almost futile at best. But don't worry, I won't cause trouble in this city" Says the anathema himself posing as one of Danaa'ad's children for he is not a dragon of the Immaculate 5, but of the Moon. "Ah yes, I did hear of a temple mentioned by my mentor called the Reverant Whisper or something like that. But besides just enjoying the sights of this city...and going to the taverns, I was hoping to find if moonsilver is being sold around here even if it's rare from what I heard, but I'll try anyway" He nods to Lin while looking at their attempt to find a way to get this boulder off the road. "hopefully you find some way to get rid of the boulder, but I don't know if I can help with that""
Fudou the Mountain A groaning sound of stone splintering rumbles throguh the area which begins shaking violently as Fudou reaches underneath the first of the largest boulders with a single hand, braces himself..and then lifts. His muscles bulge, sinewy slabs of flesh that seem to pile on mass in constant obscene levels as if Isidoros himself was sculpting the brutes body. His ruddy flesh stretching under the labors of his tremendous musclef fibers.

"Oooh..moonsilver for -sale-?" he rumbles, hulking back to Makara now as he holds the boulder aloft and balances atop his massive hand. "Now that sounds rather dangerous don't you think? How likely is that to raise the ire of these 'anathema' to ahve their holy metals bandied about..."

He swivels at the waist, turning slightly with the sound of his sinew audibly seemingly to groan like stretching leather.

"Rather unsafe, don't you think!?" he grins as his movements cast great shadow over Makara.

Lin "Moonsilver?" Lin sounds rather surprised to hear that anyone's looking for that. She turns around once again away from her drawing. "... you're not gonna find any of the Five Magical Materials on the open market... probably. But if you dig around enough... might be able to find something. But it's gonna cost an arm and a leg..."

Her voice trails off as her mouth is left agape watching Fudou heave a mighty boulder...

Tepet Makara Oh shit, I don't want to reveal what I am to some strangers for they could spread rumors about me...awfully true rumors, Makara thoughts once he notices Fudou's reaction to him attempting to search any source of moonsilver around. "Ah I see, better to find it in some mines then. Why are you oddly offput when a prince of the Earth simply wants to find such sorcerous materials? I know jade fits well for my kind, but I am just curious on the power of that metal as I will find it useful" It seems that the Tepet is currently in a dilemma whether to continue with the facade or drop it and reveal what he really is. But first he has to make sure they are trustworthy people that will understand. "I'm sorry I'm not entirely truthful of my intentions, but let's just say I certainly don't want my Cynis bosses to find out for I may attract their suspicions"
Fudou the Mountain "I think you are a terrible liar." states Fudou matter of factly but not particularly aggressive sounding. Mind you, his bulk thunderous feat of strength may create a sense of danger more then the tone of his voice. He grins down at Makara and then shrugs while rumbling, "I don't know that you will find moonsilver in mines.. and I can think of few -good- reasons a Prince of the Earth might want any such material..."

He pauses and then hastily adds, "..Not that it's my business...." his voice trails off in a way that might hint that he -does- in fact consider it his business. He gives Makara and Lin a grin and then while still looking upon them, pushes and pumps his monstrous arm away from him and literally shot puts the boulder away and off the road. It crashes violently a short distance away, rolling further to ultimately come to a stop near the trees Makara first emerged from. It's a great help to the route now but there is still much for Lin to possibly do.

Lin Lin can only stare for a good five, ten seconds at the ease with which this man has launched a gigantic boulder into the yonder. "Wh-whoah..." A sure sign that one should not get on this man's bad side. She then walks over towards the pile, shaking her head. "Nah, plenty of reason. Moonsilver's good for certain kinds'a works. Its reflective and mercurial properties have all kinds of uses for subtle things. Like goblets that make everything you pour in it not only safe to drink but taste like your favorite thing. Or mirrors that show you faraway things or whether someone likes the same things you do..."

While she ponders those things out aloud, Lin surveys the rubble pile again, leaning forward at it with both hands on her hips. "Alright... I think I've got a short-term solution figured out..." Cracking her knuckles in a way that suggests she's not at all bothered by this MOUNTAIN of a task, Lin starts pummeling the boulders with careful punches. There's not a lot of FORCE in the blows... they strike at natural stress points with impossible precision, causing the rocks to split and fracture. The really odd thing is that many of the pieces are almost perfectly brick-shape. She's clearing a three-person-wide corridor on an incline and using the bricks to reinforce the walls and prevent further collapses as she goes...

Tepet Makara "I'll tell you the full story of how I survived the North, but promise not to tell anyone especially a dynast like me. I fear they may use this secret to bring further shame to my house" Makara gulps as he prepares to recount about what really happened to him after the terrible battle in the North, that cost him his comrade's lives. "After the battle of Futile Blood, I lead whatever remained of my scale into a nearby satrapy, but I failed as they died one by one as the cold and hunger eventually got to them before the terrible ursids could do. It's a sick joke that the forces of nature got to them before the beasts could, they didn't even die a honourable death. When my last fellow legionairre died especially since he was a close friend and the one who taught me Skytongue. I almost fell into despair and cursed that golden Anathema's name. I was almost at the satrapy, but the chilling cold almost got to me but then I hallucinated something. It was a bright silver dragon whose shine is like the moon above the night sky that approach me and gave me a motherly smile. After that, I felt a primal sensation entering my body and etched into my soul as I gained newfound strenght to survive and finally made it to the satrapy's borders. The dragon of my aspect isn't that of Water, but of the Moon above" He mutters the true nature of his exaltation with a metaphor as he decides to surrender his facade as he moves aside his kimono's haori, revealing reptilian scales in his back with intricate moonsilver tattoos."
Fudou the Mountain "Did you just....out yourself as a Lunar Exalted?"

Fudou was indeed fascinated by Lin's actions and was only half listening to Makara but as his story continues and he seems inclined to reveal his lifes story to them - despite them all being true strangers - his eyes narrow a touch and then widen abit.

The giant man turns, looking down at Makara now in an expression that is both shocked and incredulous.

"..You had no need to give us your lifes story. I won't pretend that you haven't experienced much but you've just met us and you've revealed your nature so quickly. Are you going to try and kill us now? Even in Great Forks there are -reasons- to..not immediately reveal what one is..."

He quiets and then adds, "..It would explain the want of Moonsilver.."

Lin The great cacaphony of Lin's work is largely meaning she's hearing basically nothing going on behind her. The sound of stone shattering and bricks being laid and then half-fused into place using the Bracers of Universal Crafting drowns out anything less than shouting.

Away she goes though! Breaking up a heck of a sweat, laying brick road and building some reinforcing archways here and there with great precision.

The effort's starting to kick up a nasty dust cloud though... rock dust.

Tepet Makara "kill you? I am not that desperate to the point I would kill innocent random strangers. This isn't even a Realm satrapy so I'll slide this off as long as you won't tell my secret" He mutters while in his mind, he thoughts that maybe his mentor Enriching Rain's suggestions on practicing his deceit is not that bad of an advice after all even if he dislikes him for his manipulations. "I would have run off after my exaltation, but I pitied my house for it degraded ever since the legions fell hence why I decided to stay but still kept my nature a secret" He mutters as he witnesses Lin's great work unfolding in order to deal with the problem blocking the road. "I still wonder why she choose me to become one of her champions, since I feel this is her elaborate joke since I always wished to exalt as a Dragon blood"
Fudou the Mountain "Huh.." Fudou watches as Lin continues her great work. It's a far cry more elaborate and spectacular then his brief show of strength was, to say he least. Clearly, however, he is at a loss to determine the how and the what of her activities as she's been wise in her use of essence.. He does note her focus however and he purses his lips in thoughts and then turns to look at Makara.

His expression is more stern now.

The sigil of the full moon slowly reveals itself on his brow. A full shining symbol that Makara would well know as Fudou's stern expression gives way to a bemused smile, eyes twinkling as if in on some sort of secret joke.

"If you're going to be a Moon-Chosen..you had better learn to be better at telling your cover stories. You revealed to much, even in the beginning. Nobody is interested in your full lifes story without asking. I realized something was up very quickly but...perhaps it is good you've encountered us and not others..."

He leans closer, looming over Makara and lowering his voice as he rumbles, "I will say this. We are not alone here and if you wish to find out the -why- of things.. there are those locally who will help you if you want it.."

The sigil fades away as he turns back to look towards Lin, lest she see it.

Lin Within a few minutes, Lin has completed the work. She walks back up to the apex of the new ramp-brick-road that has been partially carved into-and-over the rubble pile. The whole work looks surprisingly sturdy despite its absolutely ridiculous speed and method of construction, even able to support Fudou's weight if he wanted to go at it.

"Hey you two, road's back open again! ... to foot travel anyways. Clearing this mess is gonna take some time..."

Tepet Makara "I admit I'm a very terrible liar, especially since someone was helping me not to reveal my true nature hence why a Wyld Hunt hasn't even spotted me yet. Thanks to them, I was able to imitate the powers of a Water Aspects and even trained in a martial arts but I'm still a student of it, but of course I'm good at imitations but deceit is another story. I shouldn't have become more distant with fellow Chosen Of The Moon for selfish naive reasons I've been chasing." He gives a tired sigh as he admits his mistakes on covering up his Lunar nature, but as he sees the path is now open he would give a smile of relief.
Fudou the Mountain "Say no more." counsels Fudou, "Unless you want to keep giving everything away to everyone. I'm sure we'll encounter each other again soon and talk more then. If you don't run into others first.. As to the Wyld Hunt? For now, here, that isn't an issue. Who can say how long that'll last.."

His voice quiets as Lin draws near though. There's no telling what she might have overheard but Fudou seems to lack any real concern regarding that.

"I see you have some 'tricks' up your sleeves.." he notes as she returns and he sees her handiwork.

"Perhaps..I will move more boulders then." He gives an almost sharkish grin, "I'm just nice like that.."

Lin "Yeah, these!" Lin retorts in friendly fashion down to Fudou, pulling down said sleeves to reveal the Green and White Jade bracers she's wearing. "That was kinda fun. Not quite what I had in mind, but it'll do! ... and uh. If you wanna help clear the way, strong man, I can put in some good words to some important people for ya. Get you something for it..."
Tepet Makara Makara nods to the other Lunar's suggestions on not revealing too much. "Hope we can meet each other again, what's your names again?" He looks at Fudou and Lin wondering who their names are, while being impressed by how quickly the job was done in order to clear the road. "Anything you would need help with? I'm not as strong as him but hopefully it's sufficient enough" He mutters to Lin as the road is finally done, but he wonders if there is still anything that needs to be done.
Fudou the Mountain "Fudou. Ask around about me. I am sure some things will be discovered." remarks the giant to both Lin and Makara. Fudou's smile becomes tighter and he seems briefly thoughtful before he says towards Lin, "No need to put in a good word. I'm just bored. I will, perhaps, bother you later about those interesting...bracers.."
