Mountain Thrower There are probably countless such places scattered throughout the wide vast wilds of Creation. Forgotten fortresses, cities long ago torched by war and swallowed up by time or ruined temples some god or another that has fallen due to neglect or the passage of time and changing of the local culture or any number of reasons that one often sees during The Age of Sorrows.

The man-behemoth known as Mountain Thrower..doesn't really care. He's not interested in the preservation of the past. History bores him. He has no drive towards understanding the who, what and why of things. Only things of power, perserverance and riches interest him..especially as they relate to increasing his own capabilities in such areas.

And so when hazy dreams and visions led him to wander into this ruined temple in search of the possiblity of treasure within, he paid little attention to markings that indicated whoever once raised this palce did so in honor of The Sun, nor any of the old artistic markings speaking of rulers of old who worshipped ..or perhaps wielded the sun's power in this area. Instead he tramples forward, pushing aside stone columns as he moves through an empty pavilion towards a large stone slab blocking any movement further into the place. No traps have been triggered. No sorcery to try and drive him off. So far so good..

Eloidhe It's hard to say if the ruin is familiar at all to Eloidhe or if Mountain Thrower is just hard to miss, either way, the Lunar is tailing the massive man as he moves pillars aside. Clambering over wreckage further behind, the redhead doesn't look like she particularly enjoys navigating over grown places all that much.

Glancing to one of the walls, some debris is brushed away and she touches the symbol of the sun with gentle care before glancing towards the noise of Mountain Thrower and squaring off her shoulders to make sure this place doesn't suffer undue damage.

Misa Speaking of improving one's capabilities- someone is doing that here and now. Off where it's quiet and secluded, off from the road and somewhat sheltered from the elements.

As she hears the sound of the unsubtle oncomer, the larger of Misa's swords vanishes in a small gold gleam and minor gust of reddish wind. She's left standing in an opening, looking for all the world like she's fighting something- or at least preparing to.

She's wary- guarded, when she turns to face the oncomer- but at least not hostile.

Mountain Thrower It's hard to say if Mountain Thrower is aware of Eloidhe's presence as he moves with the intentions of some sort of woken juggernaut. Focused purely on his unrelenting travels and seemingly dismissive of anything that doesn't immediately present itself as an obstacle. Thus between her keeping a safe distance and his single minded focus on exploration, he leaves her be.

Sadly, he also shows little regard for any intent of preserving things as they stand. Let us also not forget he's a twelve foot tall monster of a man whose physique sports dimensions of corded piled on muscle that look like they belong on some oversized Yeddim and not on a man. Not exactly designed for delicate manuvering.

Misa, however, is a different story being that she was already here. The goliath gives her a good look as he spots her on his approach, inclining his head in vague recognition..but he moves without hostile intent, pathing towards the stone slab.

The slab itself dwarfs him, however. Flanked on either side by towering pillars of stone that may have once had art worked into their forms but have long since lost their detail and luster to the decay of the elements.

And..again Mountain Thrower doesn't care. He spreads his massive arms wide and then flexes. Muscles pile ontop of muscle as if he was literally growing. His garments, already tattered and lewd in their barest efforts of containing him, begin to strain and pull apart as he pumps up and then reaches forward and grabs the stone. The earth begins heaving and shaking as he grunts and then lifts. Even considering his size..this is impossible. Akin to wrestling with a Yeddim or pulling a guild wagon. His fingers grind into it as he plies it up and up and pries it loose, gradually revealing a massive entry way further into the depths of the ruins.

Eloidhe Eying the giant slab, it occurs to Eloidhe that it might be an entrance. Eying Misa, Eloidhe waves but hops over some rubble to scramble after the Mountain. "Oh hey, maybe that's not the door!" She calls out and rolls up her sleeves as she scrambles.

"Just a thought, friendly, neighborhood tomb robber but those things have traps usually." She adds in a cheerful tone, flashing a winning smile. It doesn't reach her eyes however. And scary strong guy's progress is starting to alarm her.

Mountain Thrower A thunderous crack occurs as the stone slab sunders, bunches up and then collapses in on itself from the pressure of Mountain Thrower's grip. The act is deliberate. A show of his brutal capabilities if the fact that he just lifted the slab to begin with, or his prior progress through the ruins where he simply shoved aside trees, stone pillars and other things in his way, was not enough. So yeah, it's overkill as he folds the slab in two and sends its pieces blasting ot to the ground with a series of earth shaking thuds.

Dust and debris litter the ground around him and cover the front of his massive body and as the ground ceases its trembling he reaches up and brushes himself off and then peers into the revealed descent into deeper parts of the tomb.

Or is it? Eloidhe's words reach him and he emits a bullish body trembling rumble before slowly turning to look back at her and Misa. -Now- he address them for the first time.

"Mmm? Not the door? Whatchu mean?"

Eloidhe "Ooooh, we're just ripping temples open? Ohhh. Oooooh no." Eloidhe puts her hands on her head and watches him chuck rocks. "This-this is a sacred place, did you miss all the sun motifs there big guy?" She asks, and looks towards Misa before adjusting her stance incase rocks go flying. "You know, public inquiry."
Misa One might be worried about falling rocks in a situation like this.

Doubly so once one is flying straight at MIsa.

Less so when a slight shift in her stance precedes a deft, simple hop backwards ouf ot he way, performed clinically and almost disaffectedly.

"I think any sacraments in this spot have long since faded, by the looks of it. And who knows- perhaps something more important lies within?" Other than the large man's ego, she chooses not to add.

Mountain Thrower "What she said."

Mountain Thrower's voice is thickly accented and deep. To deep. It rolls out, almost unintelligible but just clear enough to carry with it the rumble of a slightly bemused Siaka or an idle Tyrant Lizard. His growing grin probably doesn't help matters either but he seems..to lack hostility at least. Massive size and the enormous pair of smash fists hanging from his belt, aside.

"Not doin' anyone good if collecting dust. Maybe someone should come along and put it t'good use?" He brushes his hands off and nods to Misa and then looks to Eloidhe, "Why? It your place?"

Eloidhe "Well, I suppose, but you know, traps and all that." Eloidhe notes and looks from Misa to Mountain with a crinkle of her nose. "Course it isn't mine, gold isn't my color." She notes and props a hand on her hip momentarily. "Besides, all that glitter-even you might have a time lifting it, Muscles." She assumes anyway, but in thinking about it she gives him a closer peer.
Misa "One must, I suppose, wonder at why traps might be in what you suggest is a holy place- if it was meant to be used for worship or the like?" questions Misa, curiously.

"But by the same token- why the slab. I suppose, if I'm not the one risking the harm, it may be interesting to see what results."

Mountain Thrower "Who knows!" says Mountain, almost dismissively..though the notion of traps has cooled his heels just abit. Looks like Eloidhe has had -some- impact on him. "Maybe slab was placed here, not by the makers of this place but by other scavengers, hmm? At anyrate, I had a 'hunch' to come check this place out." He reaches to his side and pats at his massive smashfists, "To add to my collection! But so far..I haven't turned up anything. Maybe a clue on where to go next?"

He's not moving in a hurry to enter in just yet though, pausing to eye Misa and Eloidhe with the look of someone always wary of others coming in to claim what he's already determined is his.

"Not gonna have any problems, arewe? And if gold isn't yer color..what is?"

He gives Misa another side glance and adds, "'eeeeey..didn't I see you fightin' in Great Forks?"

Eloidhe "Doesn't matter the color." Eloidhe says defensively and balks a bit. "You wanna ham fist through that's on you. You aren't one of mine." She nods, sure of that at least before looking to Misa again cautiously. "You know, because I'm just a performer." She adds belatedly and gives them both a little more space. "You just follow your hunch, best of luck there big guy."
Misa It's at this moment that Misa reaches up and locks her sword into place in that strange clip hanging from her shoulder. She offers a nod to Eloidhe, and a bit of a curious look at one of her final points. But she shrugs it off for now, and returns her focus to the one making the mess.

"Perhaps. I did quite a few fights. Though I do recall someone of your approximate... silhouette looking as though he was about to interrupt proceedings, one day."

Mountain Thrower "Oh you saw that?"

This seems to interest the giant more then going into the arena. Mountain Thrower grins. She noted his ego earlier. She'd be right.

"Good eye! Though I am..hard to miss. So, uh, when it looked like I wanted to hop in..that make y'nervous? Or you ready to take on all comers?"

Misa The question seems to confuse Misa for a significant moment, a furrow forming in her brow as she considers it.

"I take care and caution with any potential opponent. Especially in Great Forks- where anybody could be one of the recently-arriving Exalted." She makes a pointed nod towards one of his smashfists there. "I am not the best in Creation with this sword, after all," she notes, nodding her head back towards her simple straight blade.

Mountain Thrower "But you are good enough to fight in the arena of Great Forks where, as you have noted, your opponent could be one of the Exalted..and the new ones at that." remarks the goliath. Mountain Thrower chuckles, "And ..y'remain composed as well! The one I was watching you with.. His name is Wandering Lion. He said you bore some sort of..sadness.. I am not sure how he got that from observing you. Was he correct?"
Misa A pause at that- Misa had never thought of herself as so transparent- or depressing, apparently. Long cry from fancy parties and eating tiger meat, this.

"Do we not all have our ups and downs? I'm a serious person, I suppose. You have, after all, caught me either fighting or practicing for fighting, so far. May put a certain air onto my composure. A curious conversation to be having, in either event."

Mountain Thrower Mountain Thrower blinks at that. "Huh? Are you sayin'...he was right?" He seems less concerned about Misa's mental state then Wandering Lion's uncanny perception. It's something to note and ..perhaps a cause for concern.

"That crazy vagabond saw right through you, huh? Hmm..I'll have to keep that in mind. Someone like that's likely to be able to percieve more then he lets on.."

He then shrugs lightly, "Yeah we all have our ups and downs but there's such a thing as being -to- serious, y'know."

Misa "Again, context. You've seen me in one. You may be surprised, in others. Much as I am certain there are contexts you behave differently," notes Misa simply, shrugging a little with it. "Besides- have we truly met, sir? Or are we simply speaking in passing after an offhanded comment by a third party? Seeing things or not, knowing someone takes time- sometimes a lifetime without ever being certain what they might do in some situations."
Mountain Thrower "Fine.." rumbles Mountain Thrower. He waves a hand dismissively. Truthfully..he paid more attention then he normally would because of -what- Wandering Lion is.. otherwise he'd have just let is slide. This days everything is topsy turvy. "Come on if y'want. If not, maybe I'll see you around." And with that he starts stalking into the depths.
