Raga Shrine-Crusher A straw-roofed warehouse that seems to have been abandoned for some months has a few unusual occupants. The temperature is cold as expected of midwinter, yet one of the occupants seems to be dressed like it's spring or summer with a simple low-cut vest and sarashi. Opposite her are three in dense though not particularly restrictive clothes, more what you might expect from someone doing physical work in the cold. "Again!" the brawler calls out, as one approaches her to swing his fist widely. The punch is met with a quick jab to his elbow, causing him to flail it around a little with a rueful grin.

"Better legwork, but you need to keep your arms tight." she says, nodding. It seems some kind of fighting lessons are being held in this ruined building.

Tepet Makara After dealing with tiresome training of legionaires under him from Greyfalls, Makara goes to Great Forks again as he is on leave again since thankfully, there wasn't much to do besides watching Cynis decadent parties. Other than that, he gets a letter from his household relatives back from Lord's Crossing wondering whether he will come back. He displays a hint of sorrow as he never could return lest he be hunted by Immaculate shikari as he puts the letter back in his pockets.

But once he passes a ruined house, he hears of what seems to be a training session. Out of curiosity, he takes a peek which reveals a rough looking woman practicing the ways of the fists. "Better than that Nellens mortal newbie that enlisted back in Greyfalls" He chuckles and whispers to himself quietly while observing the practice session.

Fudou the Mountain "Not bad, luc. Are these here classes open to the public or you doing private tutorials only?"

The voice is deep, gravelly and rumbling in a sort o tone that combines bemusement with boredom and languid with mischief. The speaker, a huge monstrous man. As muscled as a herd of roided yeddim and large enough to be standing on the otherside of the broken outer walls that frame the warehouse..leaning forward onto it with his arms folded atop them and his massive shoulders and head looming above as he looks into the training session..a big grin plastered onto his face.

No doubt the sight of him may be off putting to some or even alarming eve if Great Forks has its share of odd looking folk. The behemoth undoubtly some sort of god-blooded at the least or some other origin resulting in a being to big for his britches..but the real question might be how he managed to get there without being noticed or the very ground shaking. Perhaps it has something to do with a large mangy alley cat that had been wandering through the area and is now suddenly nowhere to be seen. Or perhaps not.

"Mind givin' me a quote for your price?"

Tiziri Even in the cold of the winter there's other animals in a city. Rats, pigeons, crows, the likes. And it is one of the latter corvids that has started to land in one of the holes of the roof above and looks down with a little caw. It's a bit of a mottled looking crow, with some speckles of white and grey marring some feathers, probably got caught in some ash or something. But that's a crow for you. See shiny, look for shiny! It seems right now the shiny is down in the warehouse where humans are busy doing weird human things.
Raga Shrine-Crusher Raga blinks rapidly in surprise at the massive man's appearance, and the students take a few steps around placing her between them and Fudou. "I didn't charge, they just kept on pest-... Asking me after I chased off a shrine-gangster-" she says, then pauses "rrr's lackey." she adds, drawing her sentence out in the middle as she seems to pause. "So now I have to keep on telling them not to call me, 'Shrine-Crusher' because that is the /last/ sort of thing you advertise in a place like Great Forks." she observes. Seems like that's not the first time she's had to make that particular comment.
Fudou the Mountain "Shrine Crusher?"

The goliath straightens up, clearly intrigued now. He unfolds his arms, letting one drop down to hs side and resting his other hand atop the wall as he inclines his head in thought.

He then nods in approval. "...Yes..I think that's a fine name! Quite fun sounding. So you were heroic and received accolades for it. Hmm.. well you are right, some in Great Forks might find issue with it, especially if you're to be going around continuing to crush shrines.."

Tepet Makara "Shrine gangster? I don't know what that is but I assume it's related to some affair in Great Forks I've never heard of?" Makara says curiosly regarding such native terminology but shrugs it off. "I see why you don't use that title often as this city is filled with little gods after all especially since some have champions and godblooded servants but I admit it's a cool title....unlike how my legionairres sometimes call me "late bloomer" for some reason"

He cringes whenever he hears of his soldiers using that word to describe him. "I wonder what sort of martial arts are you practicing?"

Tiziri Hopping around in the rafters, the crow looks down again. Before suddenly belting out a 'cawcawcaw' - the typical eery sort of sound from such corvids. It's all too intelligent looking eyes gazing down at the group of people, probably searching out something shiny or perhaps food.
Raga Shrine-Crusher "Yeah, gods get together and some of them extort mortals for worship and offerings. Some just get worship together when they couldn't get it alone." Raga says, shrugging. "I don't care too much if they can't get it on their own, must be like a curse if you need people to pray so you can stick around. We mortals just need to keep our bodies healthy and..." she starts, then pauses mid-sentence as her expression turns a little more grim. "Well, I guess lots of us don't get that either." she observes.
Fudou the Mountain Fudou blinks in surprise and turns slightly as he overhears Makara. "You again!" he exclaims, clearly not having expected to run into him and run into him in a place and time such as this.

"Mmm..made it into the city finally eh? Still..strange meetings..!"

His attention returns to Raga now and he steps around the wall, fully entering the courtyard of the ruined building now. His vast figure seems to practically trundle forward like some sort of ancient construct, rumbling the ground under his sandled feet. His movements remain casual though and his grin returns as he seems to bear no ill intention though that may not stop the 'students' from drawing back from him even more.

"So it sounds like you are acting against corrupt divinities on behalf of mortal kind? That is..noble but dangerous and usually not the job for mortals no?"

He lifts a meaty arm and gestures at Makara, "Isn't that your job? You are from The REalm, weren't you?"

Tepet Makara "Yeah I am from the Realm, but I'm not a monk but my teacher is one. Immaculate monks usually deal with rogue gods that don't adhere to their order and they developed martial arts to punish them but only Wood Dragon does the job when uhm "permanently" defeating them" He says grimly on what the final moves of Wood Dragon does to spirits unlucky enough to be slain that way.

"I only know Water Dragon but I am still an initiate and I haven't even reached it's form yet. My mentor knows martial arts and he even jokingly plans to teach me a martial art that doesn't exist after I learned enough. It's probably just him joking around anyway"

Tiziri The Crow has tilted its head and seems to be looking at the conversation sorts... or perhaps something shiny near them. It's hard to tell when the corvid is up there in the rafters looking down on the proceedings after all. Either way, it isn't moving from its current perch, at least at the moment, which is different from how it hopped back and forth before like trying to find a way out after how it went through tbe hole in the roof.
Raga Shrine-Crusher And then that point of conflict in Raga's story has brought up a rather interesting point. "Uh..." she says, looking kind of stunned. "It's not... Important." she says, looking away. She's clearly been caught off-balance. "I mean if I can get between some kind of chains god or whatever and their worshippers and the god has to find a better way to get worship is the method really important?" she asks.
Fudou the Mountain "Well I would rather think that the method is important as it relates to lasting solutions!"

Fudou seedms a little befuddled here though even he can pick up that this brawler is fumbling abit on her story. He slowly allows a smirk to return to his face though and just gestures with a massive hand as if to wave it all off, "You are almost as bad at cover stories as he was. " he jabs a thumb over at Makara and then looks back to Raga, "But nevermind me then. Continue training your mortals. I suppose...all you all have to lose are your lives when a god finally gets fed up and tries to impose upon you.."

He presses his fingers together, "Or I suppose a god or three could be on your side. I suppose it's..very complicated!"

Tepet Makara "Yeah, I'm certainly bad at it but I'm uh practicing" Makara is still embarrassed during his first time in Great Forks. Thankfully he has learned his lessons and adapted like a chameleon.
Tiziri The crow hops to another rafter then, a regular black feather floating down towards the floor of the rafters afterwards. Another caw follows. A crow has to crow after all! That's kind of the point of being a crow. It's probably just mad there's no obvious food to eat, or shiny things it would be able to steal.
Raga Shrine-Crusher "Complicated. Yeah. That... That is really what this is." Raga says, her voice taking on a tone of relief. She looks up at the crow above, and then fishes about in her robe or gi looking garment. Taking out a small sack, she reaches into it and pulls out a small hunk of bread which she then holds out. "To keep it simple, yes, I-... We have backing." she says. "I decide how it's used, but beyond that the waters get murkier than fresh mud."
Fudou the Mountain "Fair enough, fair enough!" exclaims Fudou, waving both of his huge arms and relaxing them, indicating both Raga and Makara in the wide gesture of his massive limbs.

"I know all about questions and secrets, luv. You think I don't get asked too many questions from time to time? Sometimes, I say, it's better to not know the answers! I'm sure your 'backers' would agree, eh? Hmm..and here I was considering offering you an arm in case you needed it but perhaps you've things well under control. See?"

He turns and jabs a finger back at Tepet, "You've even impressed someone of The Realm! A user of their martial arts, no less!"

Mind you, Makara has said nothing about being impressed but that hardly seems to be an issue for Fudou.

Tiziri The crow lets out another bleating caw before seeming cautious and then suddenly flying down very quickly to clasp at the bread and then quickly fly back out towards the exit in the roof - tricky corvid probably knew the exit the whole time. It's gone too, leaving naught but a few more feathers behind.
Tepet Makara Makara is amused by his fellow Lunar's flattery but he understand it's just a harmless jest. "I still have yet to attain more knowledge on my current martial art since I'm only know two moves. But I may hone it once I have the time" Due to him lacking some time, he has to bow out for something he has to do.

"I sadly have to go now, as I'm writing a letter to someone" He gives one last nod as he leaves. "hope we could see you practice again Shrine Crusher"

Lin Lin is looking to expand, and needs to improve her supply situation. Another building, situated where she can build DOWN without anyone noticing, would be great, and upon hearing of an abandoned warehouse in the west quarter she's decided to go check it out, confident she'll be able to fix it up and purchase it...

But one doesn't do those things without at least checking out the property. But now, as she approaches one of the building's walls, she stops rather suddenly. "It's NOT empty." She murmurs to her traveling companion. "... What's HE doing here...?" Whoever HE is...

And however she can tell that one of them is a 'he'... she hasn't even looked in a window yet. But she's looking for an open window or door nonetheless without seeming concerned about clandestine meetings...

Talon Talon ambles alongside Lin, idly tamping the bowl of his pipe with a fingertip. He glances around the run-down neighborhood, his bushy brows furrowing in a dour scowl. "Well. How -charming-," he says, fishing in his belt pouch for a match. He tucks the bit of his pipe in the side of his mouth and strikes a flame. He cups his hand around the bowl, pulling the flame in with steady puff to light the tobacco. Once he has a hearty glow kindled, he snaps the match out, puffing a billow of sweet cherry pipe smoke into the air.

"And -this- is where you're wanting to set up shop?" he asks as he flicks the spent matchstick aside. "Are you quite sure there isn't somewhere in a less... ah... -colorful- part of town?" He gingerly steps over something that could possibly be a bloodstain (or might just be the remains of someone's lunch, it's hard to tell). Lin's murmur has the burly gentleman slowing in his step. "Eh? What? Who? Who's here?" he inquires, peering through a gust of pipe smoke towards the building.

Raga Shrine-Crusher "Well, come on." Raga says to one of the students nearby as she gestures offhandedly. "He's not going to give us trouble, so we should continue." she offers, inclining her head to Fudou nearby. "Now: Arms in, feet braced, leg, torso, arm." she says, going through the motion of a strike with each word. Resuming a neutral stance, she waits for the student to approach before he thrusts out his left fist and she catches it in her hand. "Good!" she says. "That's a normal strike, but if you're too forceful you might feel a little numb before you've bulked up. Using your whole body to punch is no joke."
Fudou the Mountain Though his stance remains casual, as she turns away to address the students, Fudou's eyes narrow and he focuses his gaze upon Raga, studying her intently and thoughtfully now. His impish grin fades as his expression grows more serious and focused and thoughtful. She's given no indicatio that she's anything more then she says she is but her mission and intention and mysterious 'backing' draws some curiousity from the behemoth. After all..it's not often mortals are willing to stand up to the corrupt gods on their own.

"Mmm?" he rumbles as Lin and Talon draw closer and he cuts his gaze to the side, looking in their general direction as the various holes in the warehouse inner and outer walls reveal their approach.

Lin "A guy who'll have you wondering what the heck he EATS to get that big." Lin remarks to Talon. "Pretty sure he goes by Fudou..." She taps the side of her head. "Yeah this place isn't so abandoned after all... figured it'd be good to start working on cleaning up the less-than-savory parts of town though. Like, what good does it to do just make cool things for rich people when there's a slum full of the destitute and desperate? Shouldn't I build here, get some schooling happening...? I've got low operating costs, I can pay decent wages."

Eventually though she makes her way into the building. "Hmmm. Didn't know the place was being used as a training grounds. Could use some work for that purpose, too..."

Talon Talon follows Lin into the building. "Well, that's certainly a noble and worthwhile goal, I'll warrant," he says. "But... you -might- want to hire on some bodyguards. One can't be too careful. After all, you never know what sort of trouble you might mee--" He stops up short when he gets his first look at Fudou. His eyes get wide as teacups as he looks up. Blink. Blink blink. "I -say-. You weren't kidding. A chap that big -must- be part god, I shouldn't wonder," he says. He doesn't seem particularly fearful or awestruck. Startled, perhaps.

He draws himself up, tucking his free hand primly behind his back and offering a nod of his head. "Good day, sir," he says. "Pray pardon the intrusion. I was just following my friend here. And... well, you -are- rather hard to miss, aren't you?"

Fudou the Mountain Being God Blooded is one of many cover stories Fudou uses to ..excuse himself from time to time. At least where stunts that his size alone cannot explain are concerned..and so at Talon's comment he simply turns and looks the man over and then allows that confident if mildly bemused grin to return. "Hello. No need to apologize. This place isn't mine so if you are intruding is a matter of her opinion and hers alone.."

He gestures with a meaty hand to indicate Raga and her students but then returns his attention to Lin and his eyes widen abit more.

"So it -is- you. Busy looking for more projects to whip into existence are you? So sorry but you only get one freebie."

He slaps his hands against his massive chest, causing the slabs of muscle there to quake like an earthquake under his flesh, "These muscles need fuel so I can't work for free! Either that or it's back to banditry again! Fun times."

Lin "Well I heard there were some run-down buildings nobody was using that could use repair... probably going for cheap if I dig around for whoever owns them...buy low as you can go, right? Gimme a day and this place'd be in tip top shape. Perfect for storing wares! Or a second workshop. Maybe for teaching the trades... get some of these people off the street." Lin announces proudly!

"Looks like I wasn't the only one with that idea." She murmurs a moment later, casting a glance over at Raga and the training session.

She turns about and, grinning at Talon, jabs a thumb towards Raga and her crew. "Seems the place already has some." She... might be joking.

Raga Shrine-Crusher The second of the three students comes at Raga, swinging a strong right yet not connecting before Raga steps in and kicks her leg out causing the student to fall into a tumble. "Your center of gravity is higher, remember falling? Don't try to swing exactly the same way or you'll throw yourself off." she offers, before reaching down to pull her up. Looking over as Lin approaches, Raga raises an hand in greeting. "Nah, they came to me. Wanted to learn how to fight to keep themselves and their families safe. People who, 'Believe in me' they say. So I figure I'd better try to talk to them and help them."
