Luna The group's journey continues in their search for the meaning of Makara's ominous dreams, as they follow the strange omens to the Field of Endless Raitons. The perpetual gloom of the shadowland hangs overhead while thin gray clouds spread across an unnaturally dark sky. Beneath, the ground has begun to get steeper as they approach a hillside pathway not unlike the one from the dream landmarks. Grass does not grow on these hills, whether from the rough soil, frequent passage, or the curtain of deathly essence across this land.

The way up seems secure to casual observation, yet it may be worth staying cautious regardless...

Tepet Makara "Goddamit, why did he make him like this" Makara still in his chimera dragon form growls and hisses in frustration as his past life taught their student to be so filled with enmity against the Dragonblooded, to the point they hate him simply due to being incarnated into a dynast family. "If this is Lethe's punishment for my past's wrongdoings, I'm not surprised at all"

He then recalls what Crimson Fangs said about the so called Shadow Fangs. "I wonder what he was taking about, I am familiar with the Silver Pact, but what was he referring to?" Despite him being tattooed, he is not entirely familiar with Lunar affairs thanks to him being independent.

Rishi Rishi frowns, shaking her head. "The Realm has been doing the hunting of those Chosen by the One Who Is Many for as long as it has been doing the existing. I cannot be faulting those who are doing the hating of it. But, not everyone that bears the Blood of the Dragons is being on their side. It is important to be remembering that."
Rishi sighs once more. "I am not being very familiar with the factions of the Silver Pact. If you are wanting to be knowing more about these Fangs of Shadow then you should try talking to the Fudou, I am thinking."
Amethyst "A lot of people hate us Dragons." Amethyst says, "And to be fair, our families have hunted and killed Lunars for the last few centuries, I think I kinda get why they might be upset."

Amethyst keeps her whip out as she keeps pressing forward. The young dragon is obviously agitated by the turn of events, "Surely you must know something about what it's like to be bred and taught to understand that these folks are evil only to suddenly have your entire world flipped upside down."

There's no care or caution to Amethyst's step, she's just blindly charging forward, steam rising from her as she does so. She's upset in many ways and has her whip at the ready for anything that stands in her way in navigating this damn tomb. The sooner they find whatever it is that Makara wants out of this accursed place, the better.

Raullaur Raul has sheathed his sword, but the daiklaive and armor have not faded back into golden light, and instead hang, ready to serve again if need be. "We can deal with that later. For now, focus on your mission. Afterwards..try to make contact again. For now, blood not spilled, so anyting /should/ be forgivable. Worked out. Might need a bribe or to be smacked down...or to show off how good you are against common foes, but...that's future. Now, focus. We're here for your past."
Tepet Makara "You have my thanks and gratitude" He nods to Raul as the Lunar agrees they need to continue if his past is to be resolved and see what Crimson Fangs want. "Hopefully he fled but that's just wishful thinking since I have to be alert. If he plans to get something here, it's better if we get it first as he may use it for some questionable ends"
Rishi Rishi puts a hand on Ammy's shoulder, restraining her from heading into the cave. "We should not be doing the fast moving in the area where the necromancers have been doing the working." She headtilts, considering. "Or where the Sorcerers have been doing the Working. It is being a good way to be having your legs eaten, melted, or both. And, while I can be giving you the new ones, it isn't being very much the easy."
Rishi looks up at the hill examining it as best she can from here. "I am seeing the broken traps and things, but the path itself is being the trecherous as the Shadow Lover, so we must be doing the slow moving." And then she closes her eyes and takes a very big sniff. "...I am not smelling the active magics, but there might be the broken remnants so be most careful."
Luna As they ascend the path, the wind blowing past them sounds a little more like howling than metaphors usually suggest while the dead trees along the path creak despite normally only making such noises in much heavier winds. Nevertheless, at the top of the path is a pair of large stone doors built into the hillside. No obvious handle is present, and they seem quite heavy themselves.
Raullaur "Is this some sort of sorcery? Is there a key?" Raul rumbles. "If nothing else, we can try to open with simply muscle...if anyone wants to aid." ANd so the lionman stalks towarsd the doors, unafraide, and looks at them, trying to see if they push in, pull out, lift u, or slide to the side.
Tepet Makara "Hmmm I wonder if there's a way to move the doors here somewhere but if we destroy it instead, It might trigger some sort of trap" Makara says as the party faces a conundrum here standing in front of them, if they use brute force, it may bring some unfavorable consequences but since there is no clue yet, it's worth a try. "I can help with opening it unless someone has other ideas"
Amethyst Her whole body tenses up for a moment, but she knows Rishi's grip by now and she takes a second to relax and center herself. A practiced meditation thaat takes her only but a minute to perform. Carefully following Rishi, she reaches the doors. Looking at the stone doors, she ineffectively smashes her whip against it, the stone staining from her blood. With a simple motion she gathers that very blood back into her whip again. "Gods where's Fudou where you need him? He could just toss these aside like toothpicks." Amethyst murmurs.

Instead, she goes over and touches the stone with her hand, breathing the essence of the stone around her, of the fortress and the land. She listens to it, feeling through it, inside and out, listening for anything that may help them move past this.

Rishi "I didn't smell any of the sorcery or the necromancy, so it is likely being just the weight holding them shut. I am not being Fudou, but I am not being very much the weak either." She holds up an arm, flexing. "I can help with the shoving."
Amethyst Amethyst smiles. Her blood gathers around her wrist as she moves over towards the edge of one of the doors. "No need, I got this." She plunges her blood onto the door and through a minute crack, a little crack that grows larger, and larger as her blood courses through the stone until reaching the hinges inside. Then, with a single powerful punch, the door crackes apart and her whip reforms from the rubble as the massive stone slowly but then alarmingly quickly falls back into the ruined manse, breaking apart and slightly shaking the ground with the impact. She turns and grins at the others.

"Advantages of being a Dragon, I could feel a hairline fracture running through the stone." She explains. "It was simple to drive water, or, well, blood through it." She gives a dramatic bow as she has her moment.

Rishi "Yay!" And Ammy gets huggled with Rishi's strong arms. "Thank you for the doing of that." Then she peers into the revealed cave.
Raullaur Sorcery is always a bit corrying, and Raul stiffens slightly, but the door is open, and so he relaxes, watching the others. "Come...we should go deeper. Find the heart....then explore the rest."
Tepet Makara "Thank the gods that was easy" Makara is impressed by the display of the Water Aspect's power as a single punch is all it takes to annihilate the obstacle in their way. He doubts that's the only one that will be in their way. "I expect more traps and challenges up ahead but hopefully we are close"
Luna As the doors crumble and the pieces fall away, the entry lies ahead. The hallway has a floor of plain stone and walls of carefully cut bricks, winding together in odd shapes and shot through with veins of glass. Many of the tiles are displaced, and some of the frames holding up the hallway and doors are clearly broken with wooden supports visible. This place might seem familiar to Makara, but if so also somewhat unsettling.
Amethyst Amethyst steps through and immediately stops short, she can feel something. "The ground here's incredible unstable." She says, "One wrong move and the entire floor will collapse."

"I think there's only one safe way through this." She notes. There's numerous little crystals among her scales, and they all start glowing brighter, sending more light into the room so the others can see better. And it looks like she mentally measures out the room, before beating her own dragon wings, "I think we should try flying There's just enough space that me and Rishi oughta be able to carry you across."

Tepet Makara "hmm a depiction of The Silver Dragon....her form I saw before my exaltation" Makara comments in awe by seeing the depiction of Luna as if she's one of the Immaculate Dragons. Even if she's not one of Gaia's children, she is still her favored lover. "When I was in the North after Futile Blood's massacre, I thought that was just a hallucination of an Immaculate Dragon wile I was dying of hunger. After she has exalted me, I emulated this shape to honor her" He comments regarding his chimera dragon form.

"I'll carry one of you across but I don't know who"

Raullaur "It looks like I'm the only one who needs to be carried," Raul grumbles, as the armor glows brightly, and then fades, leaving him no longer with the heavy weight of the plate and daiklave. Still, the pulse of power does cause the light to shift around him and slowly glow again. "Who amoung you is least likely to drop me if you are attacked, by magic or by blade?"
Tepet Makara "I have enough strength to carry you, so I should suffice even if we are attacked out of nowhere" Makara says as he prepares to spread his wings to fly over the manse's depths.
Rishi Grabbing Raul under the arms and stretching her wings, Rishi jumps into the air and flies down the hallway following Ammy's directions. Unfortunately she gets a little distracted looking at the decor, specifically the pictures of Luna, and gets too close, hitting a wall with her wing and dropping to the ground...which immidiately starts crumbling under them!"
Raullaur Raul is relaxed, but then when they drop and the ground starts to crumble, and as the pair falls, he grabs Rishi, and twists in an odd motion, spreading limts out and brushing against the wall as they fall down to slow their descent into the depths of the manse. Growling and snarling can be heard as the pair fall, though it is by no means any of the Realm's speech, nor even Rivertongue...
Luna As the group flies across, the narrow corridor seems to give Rishi some trouble as she slams into one of the walls and drops Raullaur in the process though she herself makes it to the other side. While he falls onto the tiles and through them, it seems that the position of his body as he fell means that he's just barely between the spikes of a pit trap and out of immediate danger. A faint humming noise can be heard further down the hallway, but it seems to be at a constant volume for now.
Amethyst Amethyst touches down safely on the other side just in time to watch Rishi nearly fall and to watch Raul vanish into the pit beneath the floors. "Oh dragons," She mutters to herself, then she calls out, "Are you alright over there Raul?" She looks prepared to launch herself back into the air if needed.

But the humming sound down the hall catches her ear as one of her ears swivels almost automatically to get a better listen on whatever the heck that sound is. She slips into a defensive stance and keeps both ears out, just in case.

Raullaur "Well, this place has claws and fangs after all!" Raul's voice comes up from the pit, less angry, more exhilirated. After picking his way to the far side, through the spikes, careful not to fall, he crouches down and then LEAPS up easily getting to the top and shaking his head and mane to clear off. "All right...that was a bit of fun." He says with a chuckle, grinning to the others.
Tepet Makara "Thank Luna you are alright" He flies to get Raul but gives a relieving sigh once he sees he's unharmed "My past life sure did make this manse one hell of a trip" Makara mutters to himself considering that the manse has very elaborate traps and surprises that has yet to await them. "hmmm what was that noise?"
Rishi "Raul!" Rishi comes over and hugs him. "I'm being so sorry for dropping you! Are you being alright?" And she starts checking to see if he's injured.
Raullaur Raullaur returns Rishi's hug firmly and nods to Makara. "Avoided the spikes, got back up. I'm fine," he says. And indeed, he looks well aside from ruffled fur and dirt on his clothes. At the question of noise, though, he frowns and flicks his ears, concentrating a bit, and as he does, power starts to flicker around him, his aura starting to glow slightly again.
Amethyst Amethyst relaxes after Raul is clearly safe. "Well, I'm glad you're alright." She grins, "Guess we're all impressive in our own ways." And then she turns towards the source of the humming. She closes her eyes and focuses all of her effort on her ears, a lot like she did when she was blinded, but this time to listen.

"That sound, it's... voices. A lot of them. But they're all speaking gibberish." She says, opening her eyes back up. "We should approach with caution, they might be some feature of the manse or we might have a giant cluster of ghosts or something worse." She looks between Rishi and Makara, "Either of you got a good scouting form? Might be worth it to do a little bit of investigation before charging head first."

Rishi "I can be turning into the mouse...but I am going to be needing the rest soon. Doing that fight was taking a lot out of me."
Tepet Makara "Most of my other shapes are rather large sadly and unfit for being unnoticeable" Makara replies as he wishes he has the time to hunt down smaller critters. He hopes he could buy a scorpion later in Great Forks and eat it to take a much smaller shape
Amethyst "Hmm, maybe we should all just move together then. I think we're all pretty low on essence right now." Amethyst says. "Not a great spot for us."

Then Amethyst looks at Makara and then to Rishi, "Maybe you should work with Rishi and improve your shape... library? I'm not exactly sure how that works."

Finally, the alchemist neatly folds her wings and approaches the sound of the voices, looking to get a visual on it before whatever it is notices her. If it's a thing that could notice her. She dims her own lights so that she's less obvious too as she moves carefully forward.

Amethyst In the next room, the narrow hallway opens up into a large chamber. In the very center lies a stone tomb with decorated symbols sprawled all around it. The ceiling was high and the sound became distinct: These were the sounds of voices, echoing around the chamber. But a little investigation revealed the source: The very tomb that lies within. And it seems the heavy lid of the tomb is almost shaking from the noise.
Rishi Rishi looks around the room, her eyes focusing on the stone tomb. "...I am thinking that is what you are wanting, but I am not thinking getting it is going to be much of the pleasent. Are we having any of the ghost defenses that we are not already using up?"
Tepet Makara "what was that?" Once the noise reaches Makara's ear, he becomes wary as he prepares his claws in case the sound is more than just a mere tremor, but rather more undead lingering in this ruined manse. "My martial arts can harm spirits, ghosts included. Wish I know how to create some warding charms" He sighs but better than nothing at least.
Amethyst Amethyst takes off one of her pouches, and gently pours grain across the hallway. With a moment of focus, she breaths her essence into it, creating such a ward. "That, I can do." She says. "If whatever this is gets to be to much, we can just retreat and it won't be able to follow us."

Amethyst breaths and readies her blood whip, "I'm ready. You wanna do the honors, Makara?"

Tepet Makara "I assume the plan is to lure them in only to be affected by the ward? Sure, I'll be the bait" He gives the water aspect a nod as he prepares to take flight in order to draw the attention of the undead monstrosities into a trap.
Raullaur "If you want," Raullaur rumbles. "If not, it is...very difficult to harm me. It might be better for me to be bait. Still, it is up to you."
Tepet Makara "I'll do it, hopefully I can outfly these things." He says with an assuring tone as he prepares to open the door leading to the bleak tomb below. His arms grabs the lid and finally opens it while whatever is in the other side of the door awaits them.
Amethyst It is not very hard to dislodge the tomb. A surge of necrotic essence practically blows the lid away as a black glow fills the room. And... something emerges from it. A head, a hand, another dozen of each, until a hundred headed hundred legged hundred handed /thing/ happens to crawl out of the tomb, towering over Makara. And just as quickly a thousand more limbs sprawl out, creating a venerable wall of flesh and limb between Makara and the rest of the group.

It hisses in an otherworldly voice in a language long forgotten. The faces speak in an eerie delayed unison, as the creature spirals and spins upside down, landing across from Makara, the hands becoming wicked sharp claws and each of the faces grins entirely too widely. So much for the idea of luring it into a trap.

Rishi Rishi jumps across the ward, lunging for the monstrous ghost
Tepet Makara "I wonder if we can cut of the limbs of this thing, but it's risky as I don't know what that is" With a prayer to the many avatars of Luna and her silver dragon guise, moonsilver claws sprout from Makara's fingers as he hopes to decapitate it's arms for a test. He soars through the tomb and his talons rend through the flesh of the undead beast in an attempt to rip one of it's limbs.
Rishi Rishi's claws gain purchase in the monster's ghostly flesh as she slashes it, leaving several oozing gashes behind
Raullaur Raullaur draws his daiklaive and snarls defiance, charging forwards recklessly towards the mass of black. The klaive gleams with the molten light of the sun as he sweeps it in a broad arc to hit as much of the mass as possible. And tear through he does, leaving golden gashes in the dark flesh and bone
Amethyst Focusing herself, the alchemist is tired and worn. This entire journey has been more than enough for one day, and as soon as that damn thing is out of the way, hopefully that'll be the end of it. But, she isn't going to launch all she has into her attack, she'll save it just in case she needs it later. So, investing just enough power, she launches forward and lashes, aiming at the creature's many heads, her blood smashing against its ghostly corpus.
Amethyst Battered on every side, the creature screeches in a horrendous discord as limbs start to fall off. But those hands don't just drop, they get back up and just to form a line, banding together and becoming an entire army of razor sharp hands walking across the ground, creating a wall between the others, and its & Makara.

While its hands go off to enact its will, the creature's heads remain, and glare at Raullaur. Breathing in the old dusty air of the tomb, it breaths out a vile miasma against those who dare threaten it so, crying out in more forgotten words.

Rishi The vine in Rishi's hair launches itself forwards, forming a massive bramble shield between Rishi and other attackers. While it shields her somewhat from the breath, the remainer of the toxic misama is fortunately unable to do much against her moonsilver sheathing.
Rishi Rishi opens her wings, launching into the air, all of her claws glowing with silver fire as she rakes all four arms through one of it's major faces, the silver fire remaining in the wounds, continuing to burn.
Amethyst The Miasma is easily sliced through by the dragon's whip, as she barrels forward towards the creature. Her anima ripples and surges, a green-blue illuminating the chamber as it boils. She unleashes her whip and brings herself faster, and faster, and faster. She goes for not one but two different hits as her motions become a blur, striking as unpredictably as a roaring flame.
Tepet Makara Despite the odds of the creature's new surprises such as it's limbs reanimating into other undead that attacks the others and it's unholy screech, Makara persists and grits his sharp venom filled teeth as he performs a strike at the body of the mass of writhing flesh although he is not sure if this thing has a heart or even needs it.
Amethyst The massive mass has heads falling left and right, as its flesh is carved into by both Rishi and Raullaur. It screeches in pain and flails about rapidly as Ames and Makara also go for it. Using its hundreds of limbs it starts to flail them in all direction, and then focuses on Raul and Makara in particular, several heads coming down to bite both of them!

The horde of limbs behind the party also advances, engulfing Ames, Rishi, and Raullaur too, with blades and limbs flailing at them all!

Amethyst Rising with the power of the five dragons boiling in her blood, she readies herself for the last strike when she hears the horde behind herself. Turning quickly she unleashes her power to hold them back, her whip like a tidal wave as she swings it behind her. Her anima flares all the way to the tip, glowing brightly of green and blue and rainbow.

As she channels her power, her anima goes totemic and shifts from a boil to a turbulant black water, bringing to mind rapids and whirlpools that could end vessels before their time. And from the black and green comes the massive sea lion, its mawl open and flowing, her whip becoming one with her anima and making it hard to tell which is which.

She becomes the tidal wave heading towards this monster, crashing against it and slamming it against the floor like the tide slams against rocks. There is no mercy, no halting the tsunami, no resisting the turbulant river that is her strike. And then she lands just on the other side of the beast, her anima back to normal, and everyone nearby is soaked, especially the water dragon herself.

Tepet Makara "Eurgh can't believe his dealings lead to this thing being created" Unlike his old incarnation, Makara certainly does not have any love for these beings of the Underworld. He roars as any pretense on him being a noble dynast of the Realm is dropped, only a draconic beast of the moon born in Futile Blood as he barrages with a thousand talons like raitons devouring a corpse for his claws blessed with moonlight strikes down it's horrid flesh.
Tepet Makara Finally as the false silver dragon of a Lunar gives a monstrous howl as it's very moonsilver claws tears down the horrific body mass of undead into bits and pieces, the very mass convulses thanks to it's own necrotic essence turning against it due to the arts of the Water Dragon being used for giving the final blow. "By the blessing of Danaa'ad and the Moon Dragon, may this creature of the Underworld die again"

With the last talon finally cutting through the heart of the undead creature, it finally ends it miserable existence.

Amethyst With the main creature dead, the hands shake for a moment and then start falling over too, until they're also no more. The creature and the hands then vanish into dust, floating away back to the underworld, leaving just the uncapped tomb.

And within it? A skeleton wearing a particularly impressive set of artifact armor. At last, this was the end of the journey.

Rishi Rishi makes the sign of the sign of the Moon over the body with two hands... while using her thorny paws to remove the head and seal the body, just in case there are any remnants of the ghost inside.
