Rishi While Frosty doesn't exactly encourage visitors, with Rishi along for the ride, they are not attacked or troubled by ice or wild animals while moving through the demense to Rishi's Mansion. The Ivory exterior blends nicely with the surrounding frost, almost making it look like a Raksha's ice palace.
Inside is a large hall full of couches, tables, refreshments, and a strange music. Next to the stairs at the back of the hall sits an odd woman who's many fingered hands strum through the air like she's playing a harp made of wind. A clear space has been made in the middle of the room, covered in complex patterns made from greenery.

"I am being so so sorry I have not been doing the finishing of this before now. While I am not having the Mate myself, I am knowing about wanting to be finding the ones you are belonging with and the pain of lonliness. Let us hope that this is doing the helping!"
Raullaur Raullaur has dressed up somewhat for this occaision, wearing white silks with gold embroidery, and having his fur brushed out immaculately. "Thank you," he says sincerely with a feline smile. "If there's anything I can do to help you in one of your endeavors, please let me know. You have been a good and kind friend," the lion says.
Bright Journey In truth, Bright didn't dress up to the nines like raullaur did, but in her short white dress, she doesn't look out of place. She has on a few pieces of understated but elegant golden jewelry, and her hair is tied back in a long, pink pony tail.

"Oh, there's no rush, my dear, Bright responds, flashing her winning smile. "You're doing a big favor for us, after all, and what with one thing and another, the real surprise is we actually managed to find time to do it now, rather than years hence!" She giggles a bit and has a seat, legs elegantly crossed, hands on her knees.

"Now. Your place is lovely, by the way. Especially what must be a new addition..." She grins, inspecting the magic circle.

Rishi Rishi beams. "Well, I am thanking you both for this. As much as I am loving helping all the peoples, it is being nice to be getting away to be doing some of the proper magic again!" She notices Bright studying the pattern. "This is being to help me focus my will and shape the Essence to be empowering the satchets I made. When it is being time, I'll be wanting you both to be standing in the particular places. Do you think it should be working? I found the poem in one of the books from Silk's library and it seemed most perfect for doing this!"
Bright Journey "Mmm, yes," Bright replies as she considers the circle carefully. Her brow is furrowed as she looks over the designs and glyphs one at a time.

"Well...let me put it this way, Righi," she slowly replies. "I still am not sure if this will work? But I am absolutely certain that if this is possible at all, what you have set up will do it. I don't remember this poem specifically," she adds with a touch of amusement, "but I've hardly read everything there. Just half of it." She grins and stands up, brushing down her dress' hem and positioning herself outside the circle at a specific place. It's clear she knows where she needs to stand once inside. She points at an opposite spot and looks at Raullaur.

"Raul, I'm guessing Old Realm is a little past your training? That's all right. It'd take me all night to explain how these symbols even count as a poem...like how these two--" she points to a pair of symbols on either side of the empty spot opposite her--"...have simp...er, well, -relatively- simple meanings, but together take on a whole new layer of meaning, and convey that to you by you standing between them. That kind of thing is why Old Realm is so poetic sometimes." She grins cheekily. "And why my brain felt like it was leaking out of my ears some days."

Raullaur "True, but I am, finally, learning to read at least River tongue. We'll wee what else I learn," he says, as he strieds to the other place, careful not to step on any of the lines before standing still. "And yes...whether it works, or not..you have attempted. And I look forward to the working!" He grins and is light on his feet, notquite bouncing, but poised as light as a feather.
Rishi "Old Realm is being the most terrifying complex language, yes. I never quite mastered it before my choosing, and even now I am still not certain I am doing the full grasping of it. Not like I am understanding all of the Riverspeak." She smirks, then sobers. "Do you wish to be starting now or would you rather be having the refreshments first?
Assuming you both wish to start, Rishi hands you each a small pouch of layered cotton smelling of herbs tied with a long string. "Be putting that around your neck and, when I am saying to do so, step into the circle at the specific points. Do NOT be disturbing the herbs on the floor! Once you are in the circle, concentrate most strongly on your memories of your mates, while feeling the tiny amount of your essence into the pouch. Continue doing this until I am telling you to stop." She starts moving into her own positio, but then stops and headtilts. "You may wish to be closing your eyes. I am thinking this may become the overly ...bright."
Raullaur Raullaur takes the pounch of herbs and puts it aruond his neck, even if the mane makes things difficult for a moment. "Yes, but after we're in the right place. And then...as you say. You know what you are doing, so you are in charge," he says. "But memories? IfI have never met..." He shrugs, then things...."I will do what I can..."
Bright Journey Bright Journey gets a bit of a guilty look and a grin, tugging ever so slightly at her collar before looking at Rishi. "Heh. I swear it won't be my fault this time! At least I hope not."

She accepts her herb pouch gingerly and places it about her neck reverently. She pauses for a moment and looks at Rishi curiously. "I have to admit I wonder why we're doing both of us together rather than one at a time. I hope this will be all right. But then again, there's no reason to hold back now. I'll follow your instructions carefully. I think I know where we're going with this, too, and like I said earlier I think it offers as good a chance as we'll ever get."

And with that, Bright is in position, starting to summon her own magic without prompting, attempting to offer Rishi whatever aid she can.

Rishi Rishi headtilts, pursing her lips. "There is being ...something. Even if you are not knowing them, you are feeling ...something, yes? Even if you cannot be doing the explaining? If not...why are you wanting this so much? Be doing the focusing on those feelings, those dreams. Be filling your essence of them. That should be enough."
Rishi takes her position and simply says "Oh, we are doing this together because the one big ritual is being much easier than the two slightly smaller ones. I'm planning to be taking the very very very long nap after we are doing this." She smiles at you both, then, still smiling, starts speaking.

As she reads the poem on the floor, a blush comes to her cheeks, as she finally catches some of the more ...saucy nuances of the wording, her hands moving through mudras of the Sun and Moon. The herbs on the floor start to shine with golden light, each spoken line causing more essence to curl through the floor, until half of the poem is bathed in warm noonlight, the pouches around both of your necks glowing like tiny suns.

Rishi speaks the central line. "I call unto my beloved, throughout time, we are connected. Wilt thou answer me? So that we may be together, once more? Wilt thou come?"

There is a moment. All is still.

And then, as Rishi's shadow stretches it's wings over the entire circle, so only the sunlight remains, the end of the poem starts glowing with silver light, spreading quickly back up through the words, entwining with the gold and rushing into the two pouches.

Each glows with the corona of a tiny eclipse for one perfect moment.

And then Rishi continues reading the poem, naked joy in her voice as she does, while the light gradually dies down. Once she is finished, she leaps over and pulls both of you into a hug! "It worked!"
Raullaur Raul thinks, thinks, and...ears perk suddenly as he suddenly /knows/. And as she speaks, his own essence trickles into the pouch, to make it is, to link it to him, and then to reach and find...

Eyes blink open and he reaches out to embrace the others in a hug as well. "I...I understand now. The stories about our tribe...our founder was...I /understand/!" A rumble of astonished joy.

Bright Journey To be sure, Bright Journey is taking some part in the ritual beyond simply being one of the targets. Even before she steps into the circle, she's doing for Rishi much of what she and Rishi had done for Amethyst months ago--collect sorcerous Essence, control it and funnel it to Rishi in a perfect, measured stream to never give too much or too little. Controlling and spending the Essence, though, is something only Rishi can do.

Instead, Bright Journey keeps her part in aiding Rishi to a minimum--Rishi knows what she's doing!--and focuses most of her attention on her beloved. The memories are few, but powerful. Intense. And, as the secondary meanings of the poem become clearer for Bright as well, she blushes crimson as some of the more...er, -private- memories she has with her mate come to mind.

She ducks her head, still blushing, transformed from confident diplomat and sorceress to a maiden...no, a -bride-, in an instant. It's not a moment of clarity, really, not like Raullaur. There's no brand new revelations for Bright here, but there doesn't need to be. Bright doesn't need to ask. She Knows. Her mate is out there somewhere. Somewhere in Creation. Alive.

As Rishi takes Bright and Raullaur up in an embrace, Bright hugs back fiercely, despite the crimson still in her pale cheeks. "Yes, it did. I...I don't know yet exactly how much I know. But I know. Thank you so much, Rishi!"

Rishi Rishi embraces both of her friends, their happiness warming her soul. "Now, one last thing you must never be forgetting." she says seriously. "As Priestess of Luna, I will be expecting to be helping to officiate at your weddings, if you are having them." she smiles again, and pulls them closer. "I am being so much the happy for you both!"
Raullaur "Oh! I have news you should hear, as you both are well-versed in the arcane arts. I have encountered two people, and between their claims, and what Fudou has said...." He pauses, "I don't know if I have the right words, but...there are demon-kings, bound and trapped, older than gods, who have champions, just as the Unconquered Sun has us and Lady Luna has you, Rishi. I...do not know what their goals are or...what, but...it is something to look at." He sounds serious, focused.
Bright Journey Bright still looks mightily flushed, but she draws back for a moment, frowning as she considers Raul's words. "I'm...hum. I'm not really sure what to make of that. I've certainly read stories of demon kings, and I assume the demons we've already seen have masters. Rishi, you know a lot more about that than I would. But if they have -champions-, well, I assume you don't mean the kinds of demons we've run into before. If you truly mean...what? Demonic Exalted? Chosen of the Demon Kings? That's a frightening thought. Makes me wonder about the Malfean Portal again. That thing keeps popping up."
Rishi Rishi headtilts, glances at her demon musician, then back at Raul. "...I am thinking I should like to be meeting these people." She hrms, then points at the demon in the corner. "The demons are having the hirarchy. The ones being like her or the demon spiders are the least powerful and the most numerous. They are being created by the stronger demons as the living tools to be doing the things they are needing. The next most powerful in terms of strength are being the lesser ...parts? Souls? of the more powerful demons. The one I summoned to be taking part in our war was being one of them." Rishi looks at Bright. "It is being said that those Chosen by the Sun could be learning the summoning of yet more powerful demons, the whole instead of the part. ...But even those are merely being part of the True Demon Kings, those that are being the actual substance of Hell: it's oceans, the land, the desert, the wind..."
She shivers. "If beings such as those have chosen Champions....I am thinking I need to be meeting them soon." She looks at Bright and Raul again. "...Though, if even half of the legends of your power are being most true, I am not being sure how they could be more dangerous than you." She smirks a bit, to indicate that she's joking, but it doesn't entirely hide the fear.
Raullaur "I heard the name Ligier, and others. I was told of a city of brass beyond an endless desert where the voice of the city came out through the denizens...and...both times, I was stirred, as though...not the Chosen, but those patrons...would be my foe. Does that make sense?" He looks curious, and gaze goes between one, and then the other.
Bright Journey Bright listens carefully to Rishi's description, nodding slowly, but it's Raullaur's mention of a few things that seems to have her just as worried as Rishi. She glances at Rishi, possibly exchanging glances, then looks at Raullaur.

"Even I have heard of the City of Brass, though I don't recall Ligier offhand. I...eh. I really don't know. But, hey, Rishi...if you want to see if we can find them, I'd be happy to help, and I'd lay a talent of silver so would Silk. I know she hates demons in general, mind you, but really, I just want to take their measure. It seems like we're not the only people making their way to Great Forks..."

Rishi Rishi *flinches* when Raul mentions Liger. "It is...being said that Liger is being the Sun of Hell, a mass of green fire that changes and destroys. He is known as the greatest of smiths... and...I could at best be summoning his *spear*, a dangerous entity in his own right. He is being most powerful and dangerous, the very Heart of the Brass City." she shivers once more. "The Demons...Are you having the knowing of why we were being Chosen? Not us, but...why the Gods started the Choosing to begin with? It was to war against them. To seal them away into Hell. If they are doing the choosing of the champions now..." She shivers again.
"...Yes, yes you are being right. We need to be taking their measure and to be doing the checking up on the portal. They may be the people who are the good and the nice. It is not like they are being the more terrible Anathema than us, yes?"
