Nine Roads Alani Nestled near the western edge of the Temple District, the Spinning Saucer is a small, friendly, cozy tea-and-biscuits sort of cafe with good lighting and quiet acoustics. Quite perfect for a pair of people out to get up to no good...or delve into some ancient tomb, too, quite possibly.

With a cup of dark, rich, spiced tea on a saucer (sadly, not spinning) in front of her, 'Elena' is leaning over the table to get a good look at the map of the environs surrounding Great Forks she'd brought with her. At least she hasn't managed to stain the map with a ring of tea yet from the bottom of her cup. With the pleased, expectant look on her face, though, it's surely coming.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk enters the Spinning Saucer and looks around the place. There aren't too many customers to make it hard to hear conversation at the table but loud enough that they don't travel. She spots her new treasure hunting friend Elena sitting at a table looking over something.
Silk is dressed in much more comfortable clothing today. A silken shirt with a camisole underneath. She has on a pair of loose pants and leather boots that the pants are tucked into. She gestures to the barista who nods back to her. Silk then casually works her way across the cafe to the table. "Thank you for agreeing to meet me. I know your time is valuable to you." Silk claims the seat across from Elena and glances at the map briefly before looking at her companion and smiling.
Nine Roads Alani "Oh, heh," 'Elena' replies, a grin stealing onto her face. "If I were that desperate for time, I wouldn't be able to take the time to go gallivanting all over the East looking for buried treasure. Taking an afternoon to plan a gallivant--heh--that's not a big deal at all."

She slides her saucer over one corner, pinning it down, while she taps the map with a finger. "Anyway! Good to meet with you, too, Silk. Not often I get to meet people who like some of the same things I do -and- look like they know what the heck they're doing. Nice change of pace some days." She grins and looks down at the map.

"Now. I have a couple spots that I heard -might- be worth a look, but I don't have that one golden spot I know we need to hit. You know I'm pretty new in town, so it's a bit of guesswork..." She looks at Silk and shrugs, smiling. "If you've been around longer, maybe you have a place in mind. If not, we can maybe go figure something out. I heard there's a -ton- of places within a few days of here...maybe some actually in the city, too."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head. "Of course, the courier work is to just pass the time between treasure hunts. That makes more sense."
A server stops at the table and drops off a tea cup and a plate of fresh rolls that smell spiced. Silk hands her a could of silver coins and nods her head in thanks. Silk then reachs behind her back and pulls out a leather folder with some papers sticking out of it. "I brought my best research with me. I see you have been looking at some of the same places I have."
She opens the folder and pulls out several pages after leafing through them quickly. "I found a couple that are nearby. One looks to be in the Shadowlands while another is East a few days in a lightly forested area. These are the ones I like best." Silk picks up a roll and takes a bite.

'Elena' gets a vague, wry sort of smile and replies, "Something like that. You're right, though, my time is...eh. Well. I do love me a dungeon delve every now and then, when I can get one in. And it's been a little while, too. I'm looking forward to this."

The yellow-eyed woman looks at Silk's notes with interest as Silk sets them down, turning the page on the shadowlands location around curiously to read it some as Silk speaks. Her reply is a bit rueful. "You definitely have better information than I do. Then again, more time to get it. I'm very glad we met."

She frowns thoughtfully at the shadowlands location information and looks back up at Silk. "This one feels like a pretty big risk, doesn't it? Of course I can fight, but if we run into...I don't know, ghosts or something, could we even hurt them?" She pauses and looks over the information Silk has on the East location, briefly tapping the rough area on her map to which it coincides. "This one might be a better choice for a first try. Not all my decision, though. What do you think?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head. "I'm not ready to take on ghosts. I might be able to handle one if it manifests. I don't have the skills to fight one that doesn't. The Shadowlands will require more information and prehaps a scouting mission or two before I'm willing to try."
Silk looks at the forest site. "This one is interesting. From what I was able to find, its a set of three buildings that date back to the great contagion. The people that live near it see lights coming from it at night and are afraid to go near it. I'm hoping for something interesting and maybe a tomb under one of the buildings."
Nine Roads Alani 'Elena' nods in understanding. "And that's the least of what we might run into there. I'm fully with you--that kind of thing is for next time." She chuckles wryly. "Maybe after we get turned into death knights." She laughs, but it's hollow, as it should be. It wasn't actually funny, after all.

She refocuses on the Eastern location. "Three buildings, hm? This close to Great Forks, I wonder if the library has something on that. Might be worth a look. Or maybe someone has been there." She pauses, looking at Silk's eyes again. "Or, hells, we might just go there first thing. Up to you. This looks like something we might be able to sink our teeth into. Whether there's a tomb or not, there's at least a place no one visits...and when no one visits?" She smirks.

"No one loots. Yet."

She shrugs elaborately. "Don't get me wrong. I'm not an -arse-...if people are hurt there, or if some fae is there kidnapping locals, I'm happy to help. But I do like discovering ancient wonders."

Silk Moon Lotus "I think hiring a warband would be a better option to come with us for the Shadowlands. Otherwise we could try to find some of the Chosen of the Elemental Dragons to help us."
"The library doesn't have anything on the site. I've already checked. I got the information from a merchant during a game of cards. I double checked with a couple of hunters I know. It's still almost a week away on foot. I can probably get us some mounts to get there faster." Silk smiles broadly "I do like treasure."
Nine Roads Alani 'Elena' nods in understanding regarding the library. "I suppose that just means great minds think alike," she comments. "But yeah...I think you're right about bringing a warband...if, you know, one of us had the silver to hire one!" She eyes Silk curiously. "Finding one of the Exalted to help would certainly be nice...except for the part where they want to keep the treasure and we can't stop them. But then again, greed has gotten many a treasure hunter killed. We might have to accep that." She shrugs helplessly.

At the mention of getting there faster, her smile widens into unadulterated child-like glee. "Oh, Silk, I'm not a courier because I take things -slow-. I'll get us there and I'll get us there as fast as you can imagine! You just wait. Hope you like traveling by chariot!"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk chuckles and takes a sip from her tea and smiles. She looks at the geniune glee in Elena's eyes and nods. "Well, when do you think you would be able to go? I can travel whenever you are ready. I have several businesses that will run themselves for a while when I'm gone."
Nine Roads Alani 'Elena' leans back in her chair, saucer in one hand, teacup in the other. She sips right after Silk does, nodding in reply. She's still smiling, but sounds a bit thoughtful as she responds between sips.

"Well, I have one outstanding delivery early tomorrow morning. Not going to load down my coinpurse with silver or anything, but I -do- have a reputation to maintain, and he did pay good coin for my services. Beyond that, I'm as free as I want to be." She grins widely. "And that's pretty free. So give me today and the rest of tomorrow to get things ready, and I'll be all ready for you. Day after tomorrow?" 'Elena' drains her teacup, looking at Silk curiously, but doesn't speak further.
