Fudou the Mountain Ancient ruins, long lost temples, abandoned fortresses, forgotten holy sites...these are a dime a dozen here in the Age of Sorrows. Some a hundred, others a thousand, others an entire epoch in age. They speak of ancient histories, forgotten gods and cultures and civilizations long faded into dust. Their importance to learning and fragility cannot be understated.. Which is why Fudou the Mountain is probably the last person you want making your way through one. Especially in his war form. Gigantic like an eastern woodland tree with a physique that looks like it was hewn from the side of Mount Meru and then inflated with growth serum..the bruiser is fundementally a wrecking crew. A roided out yeddim with arms nad legs. Even simply walking through this ancient temple sends the ground shaking, the earth cracking and walls being forced aside by him merely brushing up against them as he passes. He seems unperturbed though, making his way into what looks to be a large atrium with a ..surprsingly intact looking vault door of some sort at the far end of it. He pauses to survey the area, swivvelinghis body from one side to the next like some sort of moving tank turret to get a good look at the locale. No traps have been triggered. No sorcery to try and drive him off. So far so good.. And then:

"Hmmm...Is this the right place..."

Tiziri If nothing else? That form is one to catch attention. The noise drawing it. Fortunately, this is not entirely bad attention as it is the sort that might be somewhat similar in purpose. A winged form lands in the temple and shifts into a spear wielding woman with a somewhat lazy demeanor looking out towards with a quizzical sort of expression on her face. "Right place for what?" Tiziri inquires, head tilting rather far to the side in an inquisitive and almost avian way. Her spear is draped over her shoulders almost like a yoke.
Fudou the Mountain "Well hello, little bird. Fancy meeting you here!"

The man-behemoth turns, settling his attention fully onto his new companion with a big grin and welcoming expression that seems to make its way through his otherwise brutish features.

"Oooh..I'm almost embaressed to talk about." He remarks, though the tone of his voice would imply he half jokes and has little he's truly embaressed about.

There is a pause and then he suddenly seems to grow more excited, as if a thought has struck him, "Actually..you may be of some help. I suppose I could ask Rishi but..Rishi is strange, even by -our- standards.."

Rolling his shoulders, the overly muscled behemoth begins to approach the ancient vault doors, looking over it curiously for any markings or signs, "..What do you know about Isidoros?"

Tiziri Tiziri nods to that, smiling in a slightly cocked sort of way. "I suppose she is. Though my standards are a bit odd too, given my Shahan-ya. I'm not quite sure Rishi is any weirder than my Shahan-ya, albeit in an entirely different way. Probably a bit more benign. Though Raksi would think she squanders her talents here, and should be building her own Kingdom by now." Tiziri muses, before seeming to realize she was off topic and shaking her head quickly, looking thoughtful. "Hmm, The Boar That Twists the Skies." She purses her lips a moment. "What is it you wish to know about one of those who our past once fought?"
Fudou the Mountain "Rishi is complicated. She's immature in many ways and too world wise in others. She's fascinated with Amethyst in a way that is..both love and also selfish possessiveness but I suppose Amethyst permits it and her cute little pet names for her and everyone else helps. I think it has something to do with her experiences with Ysyr but..I'm quite sure Raksi is far more eccentric.."

Fudou concedes that notion and then nods his head somewhat in thought and then rumbles while gesturing absently, "I once had an interest in the powers he possessed and a thought of how to make such power my own. It ties in nicely with my..capabilties, don't you think?"

He rests his hands on his waist as he looks the area over again, thoughtful, "I abandoned this for awhile but..recently meeting these..Hell Chosen has made me reconsider. I've begun thinking about expanding my knowledge of these things now and seeing what I might unlock.."

Tiziri Tiziri purses her lips rather extremely before nodding. "Yeah, eccentric. That's a good word for the Queen of Fangs. Sure." She ends up laughing, albeit somewhat mirthlessly all the same, more a release of tension. "But she is one of the greatest of us all. Rishi's an amazing Sorceress, I can tell that even now. Yet Raksi makes her look but a child." She explains.

She regards Fudou more carefully as he explains his interest now. Her expression a rather decent poker face, or at least a thoughtful face. "Be careful of dealing with the Ancients' and their tools. They are useful tools themselves, yes, but one must be exceptionally careful in such dealings. They are clever indeed, after all. Powerful too. In ways our kind are not anymore." She warns. "I take it you have learned something new then? About Hell's new champions?"

Fudou the Mountain "Only what they told me..and if I did not express it at our meeting then I will now. They claim to not be mastered by the ancient ones but that they possess their powers...their natures. What that means, exactly, I don't know..but the one I fought revealed this and Raullaur was there as well."

Fudou quiets, somberly and frowns lightly at the warning.

"I believe you.. " he notes, "..But..certainly there is a way. Or must be."

Tiziri Tiziri nods to that, unable to hide a touch of disappointment. "Ah, I was hoping perhaps you'd learned a bit more. But it matters not. I'm still not sure I trust anything those of Hell say. They may well be free, just as we are. But what is their goal? Were they chosen because they have goals which align with their patrons?" She wonders. "That's what worries me most of all." She looks around the room a bit before finally going on, "As for a way. Sorcery lets you commune with their followers. That's probably the easiest, not that I'd advise it for that purpose alone. Best not sell part of yourself for more power, when you're already possessed of much power."
Fudou the Mountain "There is a price to pay..isn't there.." considers Fudou before finally turning around to face Tiziri, "I am afraid that you are correct. I've yet to learn more but I intend to and soon. I am just about ready to face this ..hell chosen in a duel and see what she's made of. She's no doubt just as eager.."

He gestures absently, "I've no doubt I will best her..." A good poker face, perhaps, but he seems confident here and if he has lack of surety he hides it well.

"There are things...I should be able to naticipate but it'll teach us much and maybe finally reveal the answers to our questions. I am best equipped to do this, I think.."

Tiziri "If you can't beat her I'll be more concerned. Albeit, have learned more as well." Tiziri muses. "And yes, probably you are best. Especially for something overt like that. We are all what we are after all. I would not be great for that. Though if they bring a horde, I am oddly more confident in my usefulness." She giggles. "Or exploring another set of ruins like this. That too. That's far more interesting and fun, less worrying, hopefully. I mean, I could always unleash some darkness from before. But that seems less likely." She giggles. A flippant sort of laugh.
Fudou the Mountain "If we were all chosen for the same reasons and meant to do the same things then I imagine there wouldn't be different castes or phases of the moon."

Fudou grins and brings an arm up, flexing it and then using his other hand to slap the horrifingly huge bicep, producing a meaty thwacking sound that somehow sounds like a massive beasts flank being slapped in a butchers shop and somehow sounds like someone slapping the side of a stone monument.

"You do what you do..I will do what I do. But I suppose those means we will have to cover each other on matters we're not skilled in. Subterfuge for me..should be obvious.. Although I don't plan to go down with a fight there either..."

Tiziri "We are chosen because we are survivors." Tiziri says. "Each of us in our own way. But survivors all the same. Our Lady chose me back when I lay dying after bandits attacked the caravan I was guarding. I wanted just a few more moments to see the sunset, and moon rise. I muttered a poem to keep myself lucid. Then as I rested my back to the rock and started trying to write it in the sand at hand? She appeared." Tiziri sounds wondrous as she says this, wistful. "She loved that I sought beauty even in my last moments, sought to leave some behind. Sought to see it one more time, and so I did." She laughs musically and grins widely. "Reborn to see so many more to come."
Fudou the Mountain "I would not fall when I was supposed to fall. I would not break when I was supposed to break. I couldn't. Because if I did then there were others that would have paid the price."

Fudou's tone is less wistful and he seems to avoid going into more detail.

There is a pause and then he grins, "My second breath s much less beautiful and poetic sounding then yours. I will just say that..while we are survivors it means different things and so we do different things. She is ever changing and so it makes sense that her chosen are also mercurial and adapative and broad in spectrum."

Tiziri "Exactly." Tiziri agrees. "We are varied and ever changing, just as she was. We merely share in common that we are survivors. Somehow. The reasons matter not. The way matters not. Simply, we are." She says wholeheartedly. "And I'd say what you said is just as poetic, perhaps in an epic poetic way. But just as poetic. Far more heroic than I, my own meant nothing, was honestly selfish. I could have rolled over in the sand and slipped away. But I did not. Just as you could have fallen, as you say, but did not. It tells us something about each other too. Though please do not think I am still that selfish." She laughs. "At least I hope not."
Fudou the Mountain "It's okay to be selfish sometimes." notes Fudou, "I think longing or the things you fear to miss is a cause worth being selfish over.."

He then belts out a rough laugh and turns away, "I think you needn't worry though. You have probably been exposed to more then most of us on matters of things to challenge world views and the way we view ourselves. It's no small feat to be trained by The Queen of Fangs after all. If you were destined for selfishness..it would have emerged by now, don't you think?"

Tiziri "At some level, all of us chosen must be. Yes? But also selfless." Tiziri shrugs flippantly. "It's delicate balance." She giggles again, a lilting upwards pair of giggles. "No small feat, perhaps. But also not for the weak of stomach. I could do without ever having to eat baby again." Is she joking there? She's very deadpan... "So what brings you to this particular place? Anything special you're looking for? Or is it merely curiosity like me?"
Fudou the Mountain "Mmmm.."

Fudou grimaces a little at that. For all his bravado and brutish antics...it seems that he is a touch squeamish still and he opts to not speak on feelings of the morality of it all. It's Raksi. What can he say without turning this into something untenable. It's clear the statement made him anxious though. He's little poker face there.

"Uh." he rumbles, trying to regain his footing and then:

"I heard rumor that there was a Cult to the Boar in this area near the Hundred Kingdoms..but they've long abandoned their sites. THere was a demon cult in Great Forks some of us were looking into some seasons ago as well but..I've lost track of what was accomplished with that. We did find a portal to hell though.."

Tiziri "A portal?" Tiziri asks, almost incredulosuly. "Fascinating. Huh..." She's not able to hide her surprise no matter how you cut it. "That's a bit more interesting too. I wonder if there might be something like that here too? Or did you close the one you had? If you're looking for information about the Boar that seems the place to start!" She shakes her head quickly, as if trying to clear it. "Then again, that might be silly. It is probably not safe for our kind There. Sorry, I can't help you about the Cult, yet, unless there's some text, then I might be able to. the right glyphs could point in the right direction. Could allows us a hint."
