Twice-Blossomed Sakura The best fronts for illicit activity tend to be the kinds of stores that are innocuous enough to blend in, but niche enough to minimize clientele. Keep the suspicions and eyes to see comings and goings to a minimum, and all that. Still, when one is selling specialty drafting equipment at a premium. At most, a random passerby might just think of it as one of those stores that needs maybe one sale a season to keep in business, due to prices. Likely some reclusive artisan. Which, as it turns out, has actually brought a customer today!

Sakura, a woman that anyone with a mathematical background would know the name of, is here today... supposedly. Mind, Sakura is supposedly a mortal, senile old woman in her late eighties, and this woman has perhaps twenty summers behind her. Yet her confidence is strong, her air is demanding and, earnestly, a little imperious- and it all seems to line up. And she has the money to spend that might befit a famed, well-travelled architect. Certainly her choice of immaculately-carved drafting table and hefty hardwood T-Square suggest she can spend a little, to say nothing of her taste in ink and pens.

Her eyes are sharply inquisitive, those of someone who rarely forgets a single thing. It causes... some tension, given the circumstance.

Mountain Thrower Such impudent attention to detail. Such demands of high quality! Why if it wasn't for what seems like deep pockets on her, the merchant would have long ago opted to leave her to her own devices..But her willingness to spend and the fact that they are very well dealing with stolen goods to begin with does much for him wanting to move this transaction along and so he waits, patiently, as she does her inspecting, with that sort of 'I hate my life' grin on his face and both of his hands nervously pressed together.

Then the ground begins to shake. The merchant pauses, and then pales slightly as if knowing what was coming well before it..or rather 'he' actually arrives. A virtual wall of a man, drapped over in an open jacket like some sort of theater curtain but bare chested, revealing a physique that make the most imaginative Fae gawk and heavy earth aspected prince feel light weight in the bruisers presence.

Mountain Thrower thuds up the streets, shouldering a massive crate with additional 'goods', en route to the shop. His massive shadow passes over that of Sakura as he draws near and he pauses to give her a good look over before finally rumbling, "'Ey now c'mon here. Make your bloody mind up, mm? You aint adoptin' no child 'ere, are you?"

Twice-Blossomed Sakura If she's lying about actually being a literal old grandmother, Sakura is very good about it. She turns on her heel in a swirl of subtly-feathered cloak- youthful face marked with remarkably old-seeming eyes. Her face draws stern indeed, looking up at the behemoth man decidedly uncowed- or at least faking it very well.

"Young large man, I will have you know that such processes as these cannot be rushed. Proper design calls for precision, and precision calls for quality tools. You have, I will note, only just arrived, and even the slightest inkling of propriety would tell you that being comfortable with a reasonable wait time is but common courtesy. If you are, indeed, in -such- a rush, then may I suggest you -peruse- rather than -pressure-."

She whirls back around with hardly another glance, pausing a moment to select out one more spare pen before continuing along with her transaction.

Mountain Thrower Well that's off putting. Getting a good look at her, Mountain blinks a few times and then he rears back like a scolded Rottweiler when she begins giving him the business with the skill of a woman accoustimed to smacking hands with wooden spoons. He seems unsure on how to react at first but then curls his expression into a bemused and embaressed look.

"Hey now. There's no need t'deliver such a tongue lashin'.."

The huge mans deep voice sounds almost remorseful, like a bully that just got told by his parent or grand parent, "My mum couldn' done it any better then you just did. You been practicin'? "

Twice-Blossomed Sakura "For the past sixty-four years, minus some time I was under the weather," the woman answers over her shoulder, gathering her effects and waving over some person she presumably paid to transport the larger, more ungainly items before coming. Vocal, she is. A strong-armed bruiser, she is not. As that all gets arranged, she turns around again.

"Though I would not be so sure- if she resembles you in any way I suspect her voice has a greater -boom- than mine," she half-lies. Sorcery's a tricky thing. "Now, that all aside, in the interests of continuing amiably, may I offer you some assistance with your browsing today whilst my new effects are gathered for transport? Perhaps some recommendations for... sturdy products?"

Mountain Thrower "You're lookin' rather spritely for a woman that's a granny. Keep yerself pretty well I see." responds the behemoth. Mountain looks amused now, sporting a mild grin that while, not unpleasent, isn't exactly charming. More like a Siaka that seems content to have a conversation with a smaller fish just before heading off for supper on one of their relatives.

"Oh, don' mind me. I'm just helpin' out me good friend here who runs the shop. Got some goods to drop off for 'im. Told 'im I'd pick 'em up from the docks. Save some trouble on sendin' the boy sout to go collect them.."

He jostles the massive crate up and down a few times, balancing it on a massive palm.

"Y'know..so they can be around to help a nice pleasent lady like you. Can't have you go giving a bad ratin' on the customer service here, now can we?"

Twice-Blossomed Sakura That does draw a faint laugh from Sakura, and her head shakes a little. "Well, I suppose I can see the use there." She shrugs a little. She runs a hand through a loose lock of hair, flipping it aside idly. "And, well- when you know the right people, many things are possible." What she doesn't add is that sometimes it also takes knowing the right things to use as blackmail, but that's neither here nor there.

All such aside, though, she does in fact step aside to let the man pass now, to set down the great crate wheresoever it may need to go.

Mountain Thrower The big man does so, breezing past the woman with a long legged stride that ultimately carries him beyond the counter and then around a corner and behind a curtain to a wide open storage area where the crates are set down with a rumbling thud. Perhaps not seen, as he moves past and has his back to her now, is his expression which settles into a bemused smirk. Slightly less affable but still amused.

It's gone when he resurfaces, emerging from the back of the store and dusting his hands off.

"Well. I'm gonna be leavin' But, I got one question for ya, if you don' mind my askin."

He pauses and then asks thoughtfully, "Y'seem to be takein me in stride pretty well. You deal with turnin' guys my size over that knee o'yers to put 'em in line often? Or you just aint phased by much?"

Twice-Blossomed Sakura "I express precisely what I wish to, when I wish to," says Sakura, perhaps a little on the cryptic side. "I have seen much in my years, and am sure I will see more yet. You are, indeed, unusual and surprising. But I see no need to be fearful or stammer over novelty- in fact, I much enjoy seeing and hearing things I have not before. In fact, perhaps on some occasion should we meet again I might inquire as to your origins. But, well, to pry too much and too quickly would be rude, no?"
Mountain Thrower "Possibly, depending on th'manner one asks." notes Mountain, tapping his chin in thought.

"Hmm..still..better safe then sorry these days I suppose. So I guess I can't blame ya. Usually I get a slightly different reaction is all. Can't say I mind it either but a change o'pace is good now and again."

Cryptic indeed. His mind is running through a few possiblities but ultimately it's all just speculation. She also could just be slightly addled and so just above it all.

"At any rate, 'nana', I'll be seein' ya. Maybe. Nexus is bigger then em after all."

He turns and starts moving for the exit with his heavy rumbling steps.

Twice-Blossomed Sakura A gracious sort of nod and partial bow from Sakura as the man turns, and she too moves in her own direction- specifically, guiding her erstwhile pack handler to their destination, rather than leave the poor fellow standing around all day.
