Fudou the Mountain Ancient ruins, long lost temples, abandoned fortresses, forgotten holy sites...these are a dime a dozen here in the Age of Sorrows. Some a hundred, others a thousand, others an entire epoch in age. They speak of ancient histories, forgotten gods and cultures and civilizations long faded into dust. Their importance to learning and fragility cannot be understated.. Which is why Fudou the Mountain, The Titan, is probably the last person you want making your way through one.

A literal juggernaut of a man - gigantic like an eastern woodland tree with a physique that looks like it was hewn from the side of Mount Meru and then inflated with growth serum..the bruiser is fundementally a wrecking crew of a brute as even simply walking through this ancient temple sends the ground shaking, the earth cracking and walls being forced aside by him merely brushing up against them as he passes.

He seems unperturbed though, making his way into what looks to be a large atrium with a ..surprsingly intact looking vault door of some sort at the far end of it. He pauses to tilt his wide brim hat up, spectacles gleaming briefly on his face as he swivels his body from one side to the next like some sort of moving tank turret to get a good look at the room. And then:

"Hmmm...this isn't the right place..."

Rishi A shadow watches from high up in the atrium as this moving mountain shakes the room. She considers, then, apparently deciding that no mortal could have a neck like that, drops down from her spot hanging on the roof. "Hello."
The woman is very much the opposite of Fufou, not particularly tall or muscular, but lithe and curvy instead. Though her golden orange fur, lashing tail, clawed didigrade feet, and bat-like wings might cause some to discount her great beauty.
Winds and Dreams "And what -would- be the right place?" questions another voice from behind, a perhaps more familiar person coming up behind.

Fudou is not exactly the most difficult person in the world to track, after all, and she's few things if not a very skilled tracker- and a hunter besides. Could well have been some great wyld beast with human-like feet trudging along- and that sort of thing can pay out quite nicely to the right buyers.

If anything she looks a little disappointed that the source turns out arguably harmless. "This isn't exactly a common-looking area."

Fudou the Mountain "Hello!" responds the bruiser, seemingly affable and cheerful despite looking like he can break someones neck by looking at them. He lays a hand upon a tall but still broken in that it..supports nothing now, stone pillar..seemingly testing its sturdiness and then he turns to lay his gaze upon the newcomers.

He blinks a few times at Rishi though he doesn't see -too- surprised. Did he know she was always there? Or is he just good at keeping a game face on.

Either way, the arrival of Winds and Dreams does break it and he recoils in true surprise now. "You were -following- me??" there's a pause and he adds with a sly grin, "You just had to get another good look at me, eh?" This is followed by a wink and then he looks to Rishi and quickly asks, "....So who are you?"

Rishi The woman smiles at the mobile mountain. "Would you mind opening that door for me? I haven't had much luck with the lock and I'd rather not have to summon something to break it down. Perhaps I can help you find where you're supposed to be?"
she looks over at the newcomer, blinks, and says "Ah, hello." She looks a little concerned that this new person might be dangerous, but Fudou's lack of concern keeps her from running.

She tilts her head to one side, considering. "I am Rishi, a Healer, Scholar, and Sorcerer. I found this place on my journey and thought that door might hold something interesting, so I was considering how best to open it, when you arrived."

"So, will you? Open it? Please?" She bats her eyelashes up at the giant.
Winds and Dreams A wry smirk at that, and the... perhaps most normal-looking of the three people shakes her head, one arm going to her hip. Her perhaps-familiar wolf companion pads after her shortly, snaking under her other hand and coming to a halt next to her.

"Well, if I may be blunt, I had thought I might have found some errant wyld beast or otherwise- there's a small fortune to be had in the right ones of those. Turns out it was just an oversized man. Should have recognized it as a boot, but well... wyld creatures always make that a little fuzzy."

Fudou the Mountain "I like her. She's polite." comments Fudou, "I am Fudou the Mountain but I've been also called The Behemoth Breaking Titan, The Ogre and sometimes just variants of people screaming in terror as they point at me. A -scholar-...? Hrm...." He looks poised to ask a question but then seems to think better of it as he hears Wind and Dreams. "Well then.. I suppose I can be a little 'take me for who I am or not at all' at times. Maybe this is a reminder to move about a little more..stealthily on occasion.." He grins, full toothed as no doubt the premise of someone his size being subtle and sneaky is a bit of visual hilarity.

He then takes both ladies into consideration and finally shrugs, "Well now I can try and open it but..I suspect this is one of those things that isn't a matter of brute force. Sadly.." He pauses and then shakes a finger back and forth, "Don't go blaming me if some sort of trap goes off and you're stuck Elsewhere for ten thousand years!"

Rishi Rishi head tilts again, her hair flowing over her shoulders like silk, "I didn't see anything like that, but...I suppose I don't actually have much experience with this sort of thing. I'm much better at healing." She turns back to the other woman "Do you want to leave before he does this? And, I'm sorry, I didn't get your name?"
Winds and Dreams A simple gesture sweeping out her hand ushers Fudou on, and Winds leans to the side slightly to get a better view of the door in question.

"Well, as a scholar, would you say your studies have given you any inkling of what might have been in this area, to perhaps land behind this door, in ages past?" she questions idly- not necessarily expecting a full answer, but curious all the same.

Fudou the Mountain The sound of stone splintering and cracking begins to fill the air as Fudou grips the stone pillar and braces his immensity against the ground. His muscles bulge titanically, threatening to shred his already sloppy and boorish garments even further and his face sets into a stern frown of determination as he exerts more and more force until - *CRAAAAAAACCCK* - the pillar sunders free from its moorings and tilts back titanically in the big brutes grip.

Rocks spray in multiple direction as the ground cracks and the massive man stumbles to regain his balance with..a soft silver hue now embracing his body. An aura shifting through a hues of blues, whites and silvers with a full moon signet on his brow for all to see.

THe giant steps forward, approaching the door and bracing himself as he brings the pillar down astride his body like some sort of monstrous battering ram.

Rishi Rishi smiles slightly ruefully. "I'm afraid most of my studies are concerned with plants, animals, and the uses to which they may be put, along with the names of demons and such. That's actually why I should like to know what is behind this door, to de-!"
When Fudou breaks off the pillar, she backs away with an exclamation in firetongue. Her eyes are wide as she sees the glow around him, before turning back to the other woman "You know him? Are you...also...like him?"
Winds and Dreams A slight frown crosses Winds and Dreams' face, and as the debris goes flying she twists at the waist, feet remaining planted as she avoids an errant shard of rock.

"I'm not sure many people are quite 'like' him," says Winds, shaking her head a little. "But we have met before, in brief. A meeting with another like us- in certain senses. But no, I won't be throwing any stone obelisks over my shoulder in the near future. Likely hunt and stalk better than most you've met, however."

Fudou the Mountain "Don't go getting all nervous on me now. I aint broken a caravan or robbed a Scavenger Lord or busted up a temple in awhile." grunts Fudou, "Besides..you want in, right? I'll get you in."

Well at least he hasn't gone Warform. Either way he thuds forward, holding the pillar besides him..and then he charges ahead to use it as a battering.

A moment later and a loud *KTOOOM!!!* resounds as he swings and slams the pillar forward into the vault door. It resounds and rings. Debris falls from the roof tops and the walls all tremble from the impact. The door holds and Fudou frowns lightly and braces himself to try again.

Rishi Rishi fully relaxes since the first time either of you have seen her. "Oh, thank the Changing Lady. I was a little concerned. I've found that most people seem to think I'm a demon when I'm like this." She gives Winds a hug. "It is very nice to meet you both."
She looks back over at Fudou. "...Though perhaps we should vacate the room, while he works? Unless you would like me to practice my surgical skills on any wounds from errant rocks?"
Winds and Dreams Winds stiffens at the approach- she's not terribly accustomed to that sort of physical contact, and it shows quite strongly in that moment. Still, she doesn't -stop- Rishi, she's just awkward.

"I mean, I remain fairly intact- perhaps just take a step behind for a moment. I've been impaled and sliced open enough times to be fairly resilient to it all, and I'm curious to see the next attempt." She looks back to Fudou at this point, frowning a little.

"Speaking of- I like to think my eyes are fairly good, and I don't see a great deal of damage done, there."

Fudou the Mountain *KATOOOOM* And..nada.

"Well now, that isn't normal." remarks FUdou who finally sets the pillar down and leans forward on it thoughtfully. It is fortunante that no supernatural traps have gone off but it is clear that something.. 'Other' is holding this door in place and the giant pauses in thought..wracking his mind for what little lore and occult knowledge he has managed to absorb over the years. Finally he turns back towards the ladies and rumbles, "Oooh? My apologies. I just..sort..of assumed you had some supernatural heritage. Ah yes.. You are in good company. Strange, though, that so many of us are gathered around these parts. Maybe there -is- something to that Chosen of the Sun showing up.."

Rishi Rishi headtilts then laughs "Ah, yes. I apologize. I should have done this sooner" And an empty silver circle starts to glow on her forehead. "It is not strange for me to be here, as the Changing Lady has gifted me with the ability to find my way to these places of interest. As for the two of you, I am not sure. Where were you going?" She asks Fudou.
Rishi looks over at the door "...Pity that we cannot open it, but finding new friends is much more interesting than anything that could have been back there. Shall we go somewhere and enjoy lunch together? I think there was a Mango treenear here that still had fruit."
Winds and Dreams "We're in the lands around some of the major cities of the region- I think it not especially strange that we would be so close together," comments Winds and Dreams in mild tones, heel of her palm rubbing at one of her ears as if to fend off the ringing from the great crash of stone against stone. "It's a natural area for people in need of more information or resources to make their way to."

A pause at that, and she looks curiously at Rishi. "I may have seen similar-- though I wonder if one would be sufficient for a particular one of us," she says with something of a grin tugging at the corner of her mouth.

Fudou the Mountain "I will pass. I'm not the have lunch with, warm, fuzzies and cuddly type." - Probably a warning to Rishi to don't go hugging him without permission. Fudou does allow a smile, if a touch sardonic, to tug at his expressions, "I will continue digging around here, I think. I am..looking for some clues on a personal matter. Nothing you need be concerned with. I will maybe see you again soon to share some gossip, or crush things, whichever fits my fancy."

5rHe restores his hat to his head at that and grins one last time at the two before letting the pillar he had been holding fall to the side, just infront of the vault door, with a final roaring impact. As the dust settles he turns and begins to tread off, his own footfalls bearing minor quakes all their own.

Rishi Rishi headtilts "Well I do quite like fruit, but...oh!" and she covers a smile "Aheheh. Yes, I see. Well, perhaps your partner there could find us some birds for him?"
Her face falls. "Oh, no. I am quite sorry if I offended you. It's ....I do not meet others like us very often. Thank you for your help and, if you should ever need a healer, you may always come find me."
Rishi She turns back to the other woman, a note of pleading in her otherwise musical voice, her eyes large and hopeful. "You at least will join me for lunch, yes?"
Winds and Dreams A faint shrug from Winds, and she waves it off. "No need- I can likely do the catching faster, though the help certainly never hurts." She shrugs a little. "I see little reason not to at least stop a short while before continuing on my way." She nots to Rishi to lead on, as it were.
Rishi And Rishi brightens up, before stalking off to the tree she found.
