Chorus Situated on the Bleak Tower's sixth floor, the library consists of four large rooms, with corridors leading from one to the other. Each is stacked to the ceiling with ornate bookshelves fashioned from bone, lit by blueish-white Essence lamps, and features a low reading table with comfortable cushions to lounge in. The dark wooden floorboards seem to swallow the sound of footsteps.

Currently, most of the lamps have dimmed down to their lowest setting - it's afternoon, and daylight is filtering in through long, slender windows on the outer walls. Outside, Iron Simhata's sky overcast sky shows itself as a bland, uniform gray.

The shelves are pretty full, but some gaps where books have been withdrawn recently are evident. It smells faintly of snow, old candles, grave soil, and old parchment.

Rishi The fourth room of the Library has only one person in residence right now. A beautiful woman, lounging in one of the stranger chairs is carefully reading through a large stack of books, her fluffy cat's tail swinging slowly back and forth, folded bat wings sticking through spaces in the back of the chair. Her long waterfall of dark hair flows across the back of the chair as she cocks her head at some passage in the book, long legs with catlike paws propped up on a stool. A white backless silk sheath dress and white short silk pants encase her befurred body, doing very little to hide her significant curves.
Mahendru Divya While Chorus is presumably snoozing during the day, Divya decides to catch up on her rest by -reading books-. Only, there's so many to choose from in this library. She skims several and then decides a better use of her time is just inventorying what's here. So she wanders from shelf to shelf, bookcase to bookcase, and eventually room to room. With a journal book in hand, she creates her own indexing based on to what degree the books in the library are organized by subject...and if by some insanity they are not, then at least which shelves have a title she definitely wants to come back to later.

When she drifts into the fourth room, Divya initially doesn't notice Rishi. At last, presumably when there's a page turn, she glances up...and stares. "Ah. I see I am not alone here. Am I interrupting?" she asks.

The Sidereal's dress is, for the moment, essentially a nightgown that she presumably wore last night (or after last night). She is remarkably unmade up and has telltale bedhead. By looks and by listening to her accent, she appears to be Champoori or possibly Prasadi depending on how well one knows the region.

Rishi "Mmm? Oh! Hello! No you are not doing the interrupting. I am being Rishi, one of the guests of this tower." Rishi says in very musical and highly accented Riverspeak as she stands, smiling. "And who are you being?" She carefully places her book down on the nearby table. And, now that she's standing, Divya can tell that Rishi's outfit is entirely, perfectly clean.
As she takes in the other woman's dress, she looks a bit contrite. "Ah, have I been doing the disturbing of you? Or would you be doing the wishing for the tea? Perhaps the breakfast? I can be doing the asking someone for the food?"
Mahendru Divya Divya stares for another moment at the woman. Between the accent, the costuming and her obvious physical differences, this -has- to be a spirit, right? Then the Oracle chuckles and says "Call me Divya. I...suppose I'm another one of the guests of this tower! The Envoy was kind enough to invite me to stay over. I didn't realize she had other living people here. Well, aside from the Inventor I met of course."

At the mention of tea and breakfast, Divya hesitates a moment. "...Do you know the Envoy well? I have the feeling she may be sleeping for a while longer. In which case, breakfast would be lovely. Tea is always lovely, of course. Unless it's from Whitewall. Never drinking that again."

Rishi "Ah! Yes, I am being the friend of hers." She tilts her head like she's thinking about something, causing her hair to flow across her back and shoulders, in a way that almost makes it look more akin to ink or dark water than hair. "...Though, perhaps, not as well as I am doing the wishing." she says quietly, before smiling again. "Well! I would most enjoy doing the getting to know you too! I shall do the arranging for the breakfast, please be doing the waiting for a few moments."
Rishi steps out into the hall and then returns a short time later. "I did the asking of someone! The breakfast should be doing the arriving shortly!" She resumes her seat and looks at Divya with interest. "So! Now we can be doing the talking! I have not ever done the visiting of the Whitewall? What is being so bad about the Tea? Where else have you done the visiting?"
Chorus Meanwhile, one floor up in the Master's Quarters, Chorus has finally finished waking up, and is drying herself with a fluffy towel after languishing in a nice warm bath.

The Tower's sturdy construction makes it impossible to hear what's going on down in the library, but as she sits down at her dressing table and gets to works on the Envoy's disguise, mentally going through a list of things she needs to attend to tonight, a thought occurs to her: She should probably find Divya and check up on her before doing anything else. Maybe try to locate Rishi, too, while she's at it.

Another thought chases that one away: If Shredded Promises is also affected by that mysterious curse of forgetting that seems to pester Divya... Well, the Abyssal knows her bodyguard well enough to expect an appropriate reaction from them if they spot a person they might perceive as an intruder.

But then again, they're not material during the day. What's the worst they can do - scare her to death...? Her thoughts perform another jump and try to guess what might be available for breakfast tonight.

Back in the library, in the room both guests are currently chatting with each other, a chill wind ruffles loose pages and parchment. Right between them, facing the Sidereal, a tall, masked figure in a hooded robe manifests. Both women will recognize them as Shredded Promises, They're clearly immaterial: Glowing a pale blue, and partially transparent.

Narrowing their eyes, Chorus' bodyguard snarls with a hostile, menacing voice at Divya: "YOU. DO. NOT. BELONG. HERE." Dark puddles of blood begin to seep up from the floorboards around and under the Oracle's feet, growing larger with every word from the ghost. "Leave at once, or the Tower's curse will fall upon you!"

Mahendru Divya Divya is amused and quite content to let Rishi handle the arrangements. Her ears caught *something* though and, when Rishi returns, she asks quietly "Would I be wrong in wondering if you'd like your relationship with the Envoy to be...more than friends?"

When Rishi brings up other destinations, the Sidereal grins. "I'm rather well traveled," she says modestly. "Whitewall, certainly. Most of the places you might see on a Directional map, I've been to at one time or another. I'm something of a scholar and one can't write about the world without seeing the world, don't you think? But you inquired after the tea. Tea leaves come from a particular variety of plant, one that typically needs a warm climate with a lot of sunlight. Whitewall has neither, yet insists on making its own blend. The secret is they don't use tea leaves, they use...well, let's just say it's not good. Not good at all. They do make rather excellent local craft beers, though."

At the sudden arrival of the ghost, though, Divya's good mood comes to an immediate end. It's been a while, decades maybe, since she's been actively threatened by a ghost. She's seen this one in action too, although they were in a body at the time. While she'd obviously put money on Inauspicious Icons over any ghost, her best friend and partner isn't here. Then blood covers her bare feet and she lets out an honest-to-God *squeak* and hops back, heart beating quickly and obviously unnerved. With an effort, she straightens her back and says "I'm a guest of the Envoy. Ask her yourself if you don't believe me."

Rishi "Hmm? Oh!" She blushes slightly. "Ah. Hmm. How best to be doing the saying of this?" Rishi headtilts, considering. "We have had 'the relations,' several times. She is being *most* skilled! But...I am also doing the wishing she felt 'the safe' with me and would do the 'opening up' more. You know?"
"Oh! Well, I have only really done the traveling north up to this area. I should most love to be doing the hearing of your travels, if you are having any of the stories you are wishing to do the sharing of." She shakes her head as Divya explains about the tea. "Oh no! At least the beer is being the good." she frowns. "Though, if it is being the cold and the dark there, I am not doing the thinking that they are having much of the fruit?"

Rishi headtilts at Prom questioningly, then looks back at Divya. "Did you do the 'sneaking of the in' here?" After her obvious fear reaction, Rishi stands and gives Prom a serious look. "Do not be doing the scaring of the poor woman. If she is being the guest, then, yes, you should be going to be getting the Envoy, not doing the scary face. If she is needing the watching, then I will do the handing of the watching."

Assuming Prom backs off, Rishi turns back to Divya and grins. "He is just being most protective. So, did you do the 'sneaking in' or did something else do the happening?"
Chorus The ghost takes a step backwards and looks at the Lunar to hear her out, but then growls threateningly, clearly dissatisfied with both Divya's answer, and Rishi's reaction to it. "She is lying! I ~know~ who is welcome, and who is not!" They begin to change shape, growing even taller. Their limbs slowly elongate to inhuman proportions, fingers warping into long claws, and a wide fanged maw opens in their death mask.

And right then, the door to the corridor swings open with a flourish, and the woman known to both Divya and Rishi as at least one other person strides into the room, full Envoy regalia on display, insectile cloak drawn around her form, but with her hood down. Ashen streaks cut through her hair, shark teeth dangle on golden earrings, and her face is painted with floral motifs and raitons arranged into a skull shape.

Presented with this very peculiar arrangement of people - two living, one angry dead - she comes to a sudden stop, blinks at the three of them, and raises an eyebrow at the blood on the floor, which has now congealed into Riverspeak glyphs, spelling out Shredded Promises' menacing words.

The Envoy locks eyes with her bodyguard. "Really, Prom... as much as I adore your dramatic antics. I'll have to inform you that Divya here is indeed my guest, and no harm will come to her under my protection."

After a few awkward seconds of silence, the ghost deflates back to their original shape. Even with that mask covering their entire face, save for the eyes, their indignation is visible. "What...? But... You should have informed me-"

Their master motions at the blood. "We'll talk about this later. Back to your post in the entrance hall you go, and take that with you before you leave."

With a grunt of dismay, Prom begins to fade back to their invisible state. Along with them, the blood - including the spatters on Divya's feet - also fades away, until no trace remains.

The Envoy rubs the bridge of her nose, then smiles up at both Rishi and Divya. "Good morning! I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. They take their job very seriously. I was only just planning to find you both, and introduce you to each other... and here you are." Her smile brightens even more.

Mahendru Divya Divya's initial reaction to the spectacle is...well, to look down at the blood on her feet as it fades away. She rubs the top of one foot with the bottom of the other, as if testing to make sure it's actually ick free. Then she sighs and smiles a touch helplessly at the sight of the Envoy.

"To the rescue," she says, as the Envoy greets her and Rishi directly. "Thank you. That was...uncomfortable, for a moment. Which I imagine is the point. Your Promise over there is quite diligent in protecting his charge. As my Icons is me. Usually." She glances over one shoulder, looking out in the direction of the window. "I can only imagine what mischief he's up to on his own out there. Ugh. Hopefully he's not making more work for me..."

Then returning to the conversation, Divya's smile comes back in full. "Yes, I've been enjoying Rishi's company. She's quite the hostess actually. You must tell me how you two met."

Rishi Rishi frowns sadly, then touches Divya's arm. She's pulled off her golden torc and is holding it out. "Wear this for a few of the moments. It will do the making of you most clean!"
Rishi smiles. "She did the coming to the temple that I am doing the assisting with in the Great Forks. And...We both felt most attracted to each of the other." She smirks, though her shoulders are a little tight, possibly she's keeping something back. "And...that is being most of it. We have done the knowing of each other since then. Many times most intimately~" And she smiles at the Chorus.

"Oh! I should be doing the introducing myself most properly. I am being Rishi, Chosen of the Changing Waters. I am being the healer and the scholar. If you are ever needing the medical help, please be doing the coming to be seeing me, especially if you are ever feeling the uncomfortable in the body you are doing the having."
Chorus Chorus laughs softly - the sound of mourning bells, coated in dark honey. "Oh, Rishi... Look at you underselling yourself again." She draws closer to both of them, a warm smile on her lips, and gently touches the "Exigent's" shoulder.

"Rishi is a most excellent healer, and a prodigious sorcerer. Certainly one of the best, if not ~the~ best in the entire Scavenger Lands", she explains to Divya, looking the Sidereal over with great affection, despite the other woman's dissheveled appearance... and giving her a moment to accept the torc from Rishi and put it on, should she choose to do so.

Reaching up with her other hand, she moves to gently caress Divya's cheek, should she let her. "Again, I'm terribly sorry for the scare. I'm sure Prom will get used to your presence. It was only your first night here, after all... I also have to apologize for being such a lazy host, leaving you to fend for yourself during the day. I'm used to sleeping alone more often than not, and quite a late riser, as you've certainly noticed."

While saying this, she slowly withdraws her hands and turns to face both of them, still smiling brightly. "Divya and I haven't known each other for long, but we've grown quite close in that short time", she tells Rishi. "Isn't that so?" And she looks adoringly at Divya.

Mahendru Divya Divya accepts the torc in the spirit that it's offered. She even puts it on. Curious if it's the magical object she thinks it is and if it'll work for her.

Meanwhile, Divya looks intently interested at Rishi's version of a meetcute moment. "Rishi, Chosen of the Changing Waters. Well. I'm honored to meet you. The Envoy is a very lucky woman to have won such attention from you. I hope the next time I'm in Great Forks, that I have the opportunity to see this temple of yours. Gods are deserving of the worship and praise given them." There's just a hint of dissonance in that remark, for the particularly cunning ear.

"As for my body, it's served me well enough so far. I can't complain." She pats one of her hips twice, affectionately. "But if I ever want to do anything differently, well, knowing the best Sorcerer and healer in the entire Scavenger Lands gives me some options then! Thank you."

When the Envoy cups her cheek, Divya looks touched by the gesture. "Think nothing of it, my dear. Everyone needs sleep, sooner or later. With such an excellent library, your laziness is my gain!" She winks playfully. And then, when her lover draws attention to the nature of their relationship, Divya shrugs helplessly and smiles at Rishi, her expression open and possibly a bit apologetic. Though her eyes are intent on the 'Exigent'. Many societies favor monogamy and knowing if jealousy is a consideration here is a very important objective. "Closer than I've been to anyone in a long time," she says, echoing the Envoy's words while watching Rishi, trying to understand their impact.

Rishi "I don't know that I am being the best of th..." Rishi starts to say, then blinks, looking between the two of them... and then grins, pulling them both into a hug. "Oh! I am being most happy for you both! It is always being most good when people are doing the finding of the love!" She grins wider looking at the Envoy, mock whispering, "I hope you are being more of the open with her though." then raises her voice again "Oooh!" she pulls them both tighter, then lets them free. She's clearly got a substantial amount of muscle there.
Once free, she headtilts, and looks at Chorus questioningly, glancing over at the other woman. A 'voice,' bursting with emotions and love, suddenly arrives in Chorus's head, "How much. can I Tell her?" and then the strange sensation passes. When Rishi notices Diuya looking at her, she grins even further, and says "I was just doing the wondering of how big the master bed is. Will it do the fitting of the three of us or will we do the needing the bigger one?"
Chorus Chorus makes herself light and flexible right before she and Divya are swept into the massive hug she was already anticipating, knowing both Rishi's expressive enthusiasm and the considerable strength her Lunar mate is packing. She hugs both of them back, as best as she can, and continues to grin happily... but watches closely how Divya responds to all of this.

At Rishi's voice emerging in her head... no, in her ~soul~... she barely misses a beat, willing her body and mind to not let any hint of surprise leak through. In the short period of anticipation after the hug, it's easy to make her silence look natural.

In truth, that silence is a result of her searching for the source of that voice... and when she finds that this isn't at all like the whispers she sends into other's minds, but in fact the soul-deep bond between mates that Rishi used to speak to her in this way, the Abyssal tentatively responds in the same way. Her own inner voice sounds pleasant enough, but she keeps it devoid of any deeper emotion, closely guarding her heart as always: <<I'm hiding my nature from her, at least for the time being. You might want to do the same.>>

When the Lunar poses that last question out loud, she blinks in surprise, and looks questioningly up at Divya. "It's quite big. But not everyone would be comfortable with the kind of arrangement you're proposing, Rishi..." She raises an eyebrow, her face calm, with a pleasant, soft smile - no leering from her.

Mahendru Divya The open, seemingly honest joy of the other woman is a good sign. Divya's naturally somewhat more reserved (though she suspects -everyone- is probably more reserved than this larger-than-life personality). Being pulled into a threeway embrace is a surprise but not an unwelcome one. She is -not- prepared for the sheer strength of that embrace but one can never predict what one of the Exalted will be capable of, after all.

At Rishi's question about beds, Divya just shrugs slightly. "I'm widely traveled enough to be comfortable with quite a bit. I've been here a day. The two of you have obviously known each other much longer than that." She winks at the Envoy when she says "It's your bed, whoever you choose to invite to it is your choice. As long as I don't wake up with someone's arm over my face, much is possible."

Divya is neither excited about the prospect of a threesome nor is she nervous or disinterested either. Her mood is best characterized as 'curious'. With a seasoning of 'content'.

"Either way, I look forward to getting to know you better, Rishi. I'm not a Sorcerer or a student of medicine, but the academic study of both subjects is of interest to me. As is what led you to learn and master both arts."

Rishi The Chorus feels Rishi's bone deep sigh and sense of disappointment at being told she still needs to hide her nature filtering through Chorus's soul and bubbling into the rest of her. <<Oh very well. But, why are we hiding from her? She seems nice.>>
Rishi grins. "Oh! Then we shall have to do the seeing what tonight is doing the bringing to us then!" She caresses Divya's cheek. "The Envoy is being most skilled, but I have done much of the learning. I am being most excited to be doing the making of you happy~"

At the question of what led her to those subjects, Rishi pauses, head tilting in thought. "Originally, I was being the Gardener, and the keeper of the Menagerie." She gives Divya a careful look. "In Ysyr."

"Between the teaching and the scholing they are doing the giving to all and what I did the learning of from the plants, I did the awakening to the Sorcery." She looks down, lost in memory for a moment. "In that city, the Sorcerers, they are having to be the 'perfect' of body. And...I was not doing the agreeing with their 'perfection.' So, I did the leaving." She's hunching her shoulders again. "But...This thing, the changing of the bodies, it did make me do the wishing to be learning the how to be doing it. So, I did the pursuing of the learning of the healing and the sorcery. And, when I did the arriving in the Great Forks... Well, I eventually did the finding of the perfect temple for me. And then the miracle did the happening." Again, that hunching of shoulders.

"Being the Exalt is the most wonderful thing. It has done much of the enhancing of the healing abilities I am doing the having. Please do the letting me know if you are ever feeling the unwell." And, as the Torc should have cleaned Divya up and fixed her bedhead now, Rishi holds out a hand to take it back.
Chorus At Rishi's mental response, Chorus has to actively fight for a bit to keep her annoyance from spiking through the link. Her reply is teasing, but cordial, the emotions behind it a dark abyss of guarded secrets. <>

There's the faint grinding of gears, and a wall panel between bookshelves slides up, revealing a small compartment with tablets full of fresh food. This happens just when Rishi starts to explain her past to Divya, and the Envoy leaves them to it, smacking her lips at the sight of breakfast. She carries both tablets over to their table, one by one, and sets it all out for them.

Green tea with a pleasant peach aroma. A bowl of fragrant rice with golden raisins. Scrambled eggs, and small lamb kebaps in thick dark wine gravy, flavored with honey. Small bowls with bite-sized delicacies, such as roasted peppers stuffed with goat cheese, eggplant slices sauteed in garlic and olive oil, grilled cauliflower with lemon cests, lightly toasted melon slices, and more.

"I don't know about you two", the Envoy grins, licking her lips, "but I've got a busy night ahead of me. You're not the only ones who want a slice of me - so many arrangements to make before the festival, so little time... I need a good breakfast to get me through the night."

While she talks, she hands out plates to them, and pours tea. "Mhmm. Smells wonderful, doesn't it? Go on, help yourself. If you're ever in need of anything, just speak to the attendants down below. I suspect Rishi has already done so, given how fast the food arrived."

She looks over Rishi carefully, sets down the teapot, and... hesitates for a few seconds. Her hand seems to move almost on its own accord, towards her Lunar mate... then stops midway, only held back by a conscious effort of will. The Abyssal quickly busies herself with heaping food onto her plate, and continues to smile happily at her living company.

Mahendru Divya "I'm...sure tonight will be most memorable," Divya says, her breath hitching briefly when facing the much stronger, much more enthusiastic woman promising a good time.

When breakfast arrives, and the Envoy goes about setting it up, Divya listens to Rishi talk about her past with wide, interested eyes. Her face shifts at times, from smile to sympathetic wince, back to smile. Rishi's story is clearly of interest to the woman in the dressing gown with bed-raggled hair. "Ysyr can be a challenging place, yes. It's been...quite some time since I made my way down there and I'm sure it's changed since then. But probably not in that respect. "So you found your miracle. Does that mean you also found your perfect body?" She glances briefly at the wings and the tail. "You find yourself happier, you feel more 'yourself' with how you are now?"

When Rishi opens her hand, Divya remembers the torc just in time and she passes it back. "Thank you for that, by the way. Very kind."

Seeing the Envoy ready to dig into the food, Divya gestures to whatever tables and seating this library has, inviting Rishi to likewise claim a spot. "Thank you, sweetheart," she says, planting a careful kiss on the Envoy's cheek, very mindful not to smudge the makeup. "You're a most considerate host. And such foods! I don't find this selection all that common this far north. I must thank the cook when I have the occasion."

Finally seating herself, Divya says "I know what it's like to leave home behind. I know what it's like when 'home' stops being home too. Have you found a new one, Rishi? Or is Great Forks and that temple where home is?"

Rishi Rishi's eyes light up at the spread of food and she goes to make her own plate. Between the story and finding the best slices of melon, she misses seeing the Envoy reaching out to her. Or, if she did notice, she doesn't say anything.
At Divya's question, she says "Oh yes!" she waves a hand over her body. "This isbeing most how I am wishing to do the looking." she smirks a bit, and makes an odd happy giggle, like she's thinking of a private joke. "I am always being that way now." She sobers. "It's not being all of the vanity. The claws are most useful for the surgery and, ah, doing the flying! It is being most wonderous. I can't do the imagining of anyone giving that up. But...simply doing the feeling like you are 'fiting' in your body...That being how I am wishing everyone to be feeling."

"For now, yes. Great Forks is being my home. Though, I may do the claiming of one of the 'lost places.' The war 14 years ago was doing much of the damage in many of the places. And there are still being the 'dead villages." she waves a hand. "I am doing the wishing to be building the teaching place and the center for the medicine and...maybe Great Forks is not being the perfect place for this? I am noot being sure yet."

"But I have been doing all the talking about me!" She gazes across the table and gives Divya a warm look. "Where is being your home? What did the happening that caused you to do the leaving?"
Chorus In response to the gesture of affection, the Envoy kisses Divya's nose, beaming at her. "If letting others cook for me is all I need to enjoy your lovely company, I'm not going to complain." She winks and laughs.

The library offers two very distinct options for seating: High-backed chairs, and firm cushions intended for sitting on the floor. Given the latter's vividly colored patterns, it's safe to assume they were brought in here by the Envoy - unlike the tortured, spiky chairs, which just as obviously reflect the Tower's original owner's tastes.

Chorus chooses a table low enough to accomodate floor seating, but not a cushion to sit on. Instead, she first takes a moment to open her cloak and throw it back so it doesn't get in the way (revealing the very fine and handsome clothing that both of her companions already had the pleasure to admire, and subsequently undress). Then, she squats down on the floor, and looks quite comfortable digging into her food in that position.

While they eat and make conversation, she observes Rishi and Divya interact. Unsurprisingly, Divya is interested in Rishi's person and exploits, and Rishi willing to share what she safely can afford to, as always - and showing interest in Divya, too. Just as the Moonshadow was hoping she would.

It's an almost idyllic scene. Easy to get drawn into, to get lost in the moment. Easy to forget what she came here to do. Why she's doing this. The mention of Great Forks helps draw her back into reality. These are not her people, and she's not truly meant to be a part of this.

But Chorus' empty stomach isn't a lie. She doesn't like to talk while hungry, so she just enjoys the food for the moment, as much as one can enjoy Creation's paltry delicacies, and gives the Lunar and the Sidereal the room to getting to know each other.

Mahendru Divya Divya now looks thoughtful and she takes a few bites of the food, having chosen to sit on the cushions with the Envoy. Digesting food is helpful when also digesting a story.

"Oh, my home? I've had many. My first home is no more. My present home is in Nexus, in the Bastion district actually." Not the whole truth but true enough to sound convincing. "And of course, I travel a great deal. 'Home' tends to be where the people I care about are, these days."

"As for what caused me to leave...well, it's a long and not especially interesting story. My parents were musicians. I always liked commerce and academia. And, where I come from, one...stays close to doing what one's family does. I was already 'odd' and a bit of an outcast by the time I was old enough to enroll in university. As you may have experienced, there's nothing like learning more about the world to make you want to see it. And, consequently, the more what you learn causes you to grow, the more those who don't learn seem rigidly the same and less relatable with passing time." She smiles faintly and dabs at her lips with a towel. "I have no tragic story, Rishi. No scandal, no particular drama. I was born to be something my family wasn't and could never be. So now I make my way in the world, being what I was meant to be. Helping out, where I can. Usually, it's people I help but sometimes it's ghosts. Iron Simhata has had more than its share of tragedy. I once played a small part in changing the status quo, for the better I think. I'm *delighted* to see how far it's come since I was last here. Our Envoy has done marvelous work, hasn't she."

Rishi Rishi smiles at them both, her legs folded oddly so she can sit at the low table with the others, cushion supporting her tail. "Yes, she has been most wonderful. She is being most skilled at the bringing of people together."
Rishi smiles at Divya, a heartfelt one. "Ah! Yes! This too is how I am doing the feeling! Going out into the world and doing the helping! Making it the better place!" Her smile gets even wider. "I knew that I was doing the liking of you!"
Chorus When Divya tells her own story, Chorus perks up and observes her from the side. A family... how long ago might that have been? Are they even real, or is that a fabrication, something matching the fake identity of Cynae more than Divya's true self? She keeps an eye out for any sign that Divya still feels something for the people who raised her... and finds nothing. Which could mean any number of things. Something to be explored during future encounters.

Filing that information away for now, the Envoy, her hunger finally sated, licks her lips clean and smiles at the other women. "The flattery I have to endure from both of you!" A theatrical eyeroll, during which her smile widens into a grin of fondness.

"In any case, it looks like you're both excellent company for each other", she tells them, finishing her tea. "To my immense regret, the hours aren't getting any earlier, and I'm expected at the city council's hall in about..." She squints at the window, and the sky beyond. "...quite soon, actually."

With visible reluctance, the small woman rises, ensures her cloak is wrapped around her properly again, and gives a mock salute towards the two of them. "I'll rejoin you around midnight, I hope. Maybe a little later. We can decide what we want to do when I return, aye? Until then, have fun, and please let me know if you need anything."

On her way down, she stops by the kitchen to pick up Tabi, who reliably shows up every afternoon to pester the cook, and walks out into Creation's distasteful day.
