Amilar Ereyo As a Lookshyan soldier, Amilar Ereyo is very much used to rising early, before the sun comes up even. Usually, she spends those wee hours of the night with morning prayer to the Immaculate Dragons, a short meditation, and various physical exercises.

But today, she only performs her sword katas until the sky begins to light up with the coming of the sun, takes her bagpack, and leaves camp mounted on a freshly summoned Hound of the Five Winds, while Deryl Laklan and "Ira Bisht" are only just stirring from sleep.

If everything goes well, she will return in time when they're ready to continue their journey to Anahithra. If not... well, she would have to catch them later.

The Air Aspect's mount carries her across Odyr's Hadlas Plains in great, loping strides, until she spots a dead tree, split by lightning. Perfect.

Ereyo ties the hound to a sturdy young bush nearby, and walks over to the thunderstruck tree. There, she kneels on the ground, with her legs folded underneath her thighs. From her backpack, she takes out a small copper bowl, a piece of incense, and a short axe, claimed from one of the ghosts the companions fought in that battle at the ruined village, not long ago.

From the Dragon's fingertip shoots a tiny bolt of lightning, delivering enough heat to the incense resin to light it up in a small spot, causing a thin line of smoke to curdle up.

After fanning the smoke a bit, Ereyo presents the weapon flat on her hands, raising it skyward. In Old Realm, she begins to chant the prayer:

"Tengertian, lord of the hunt and the storms ravaging these plains, I offer you this blade of my enemy, claimed in battle! I, Amilar Ereyo, blessed by the Dragons, would have word with you. Heed my call, Tengertian!"

Deryl Laklan Then a single lightning strike roars in the sky and a gale of divine essence swirls in the very winds. A flash of heavenly light then erupts in the ground as now a figure appears to face the dragon. A white haired man with a goatee dressed in regal robes of blue and white heavenly silk, his eyes sparkle with electricity. Despite his noble appearance, he has a bored expression and holds a cartoonishly large ceramic cup of what seems to be coffee? But from the smell of such caffeinated drinks, it's higher quality than that of mortal standards and there is a hint of Far Eastern spice to it. The deity also wears sunglasses, which makes his attire look like an eccentric noble evading public eye.

"Who is it that calls for thy blessing? Mortals usually give me blue jade offering nowadays and offerings from the spoils of war are rarely given to me nowadays so I thank yo...." The god raises his eyes and lifts up his sunglasses and puts them back on, baffled to see a dragon. "Thunder-Roaring-In-The-Plains? Not agai....oh it's a different dragon this time even if it's another Mela blessed one" He slightly twitches his eyes but is relieved its not her. "Now what is it do you want? Your horse being given divine blessings? Please don't claim to be my exigent even if I do not have desires to claim such spark"

Amilar Ereyo Tengertian is certainly... something. Having already heard about his informal manner from Divya's interaction with him, Ereyo manages to keep her composure - barely. After all, incredulous laughter rarely is a good way to begin a conversation with a god.

She makes do with a cordial smile instead, gingerly lowers the axe to the ground and rises, to bow with the proper measure of respect before the deity.

"Well met, Tengertian of the Tempestuous Chariot." The Air Aspect continues to speak in Old Realm, determined to stick to protocol. Her anima's blue and white glow lines her body, clearly marking her as a Prince of the Earth. "You aided my companions and me in battle against Bragi Wynona's undead servants. For that, we are grateful."

She straightens, and meets the god's eyes - or rather, his shades. "In return, you asked for aid in the... delicate matter of Thunder-Roaring-In-The-Plains." Ereyo stops smiling. "I very much would like to help her regain her senses, but in order to do so, I need to know more about her. I was hoping you could tell me how she came to act like she does."

After a short pause, she continues: "In addition, I have another favor to ask of you. But let us begin with Thunder. Do you know why she would think herself your Chosen?"

Deryl Laklan "A compliment? From a Lookshyan even if her nation is Immaculate....you have my thanks. Although I'm still a storm and hunt god, my days as a war deity is now a star whose sparkle has long faded away" Even with the bitter expression on his once famed purview, he gives a genuine smile for a single second at the dragon thanking him for his aid in dealing with the unholy creatures that stalk Odyr. But when the dragonblooded rider is mentioned that thinks she's an exigent, he feels a bit of annoyance just by remembering her although has a hint of sadness

"Ah my regret. I should have never have come down the plains when she exalted. I only came there since I notice the weather was very turbulent in the area she received her Second Breath, I don't want to receive complaints from the Bureau Of Seasons after all on unscheduled storms" He coughs for a bit just mentioning the tedious bureaucracy. "I saw a girl imbued by Mela's lightning, crying while riding her horse that was a pony at that time" He recalls him meeting the dragon for the first time

"When she looked at me, she looked at me with awe as if I'm her savior. Then I realized she was one of my few worshippers in Hadlas. I also learnt something terrible happened to her family back in her home village...."

Amilar Ereyo While listening to the god's recount of his first meeting with Thunder, Ereyo's expression grows thoughtful at first, then wistful. She nods at him encouragingly.

"I think I understand how she might have felt in that moment. But I also witnessed others telling her repeatedly that she was Chosen by the Elemental Dragons, not by your spark. Still, she refuses to let go of that notion." Ereyo frowns. "What was it that happened to her family?"

Deryl Laklan "As her family also worshipped me, it didn't sit well with most of the Hadlasii. Although their ancestors revered me as their patron god, their descendants are now mostly Immaculate. Some forgot about me while others even scorned my worship as it's a violation of the Immaculate philosophy. Others however have persisted but not for long like her family" He gulps as it seems that the story behind Thunder's delusions is a bit more disturbing. "Her family were mostly storm riders that preserved the traditions I founded. They were horse riders who were warriors and even raced in difficult conditions such as my storms"

"Those storm riders who managed to survive the deadliest conditions have their horses being blessed with my power known as the Keraun-Equs. The divine steeds are known to resist floods and difficult terrain, while they have a bond with their owner that lets them seek them if they are lost, although Keraun-Equs can only produce normal offspring even if mated with another, only the worthy ones have their horses imbued with my divinity. Although the storm riders of old were warriors, they were rangers protecting the plainsfolk from predators and rescuers saving people from being drowned in floods" He says with nostalgia for the old days even if it's no more

"But as Hadlas is now part of Odyr and Immaculate, the storm rider tradition is banned and punishable by imprisonment...and worse by Immaculate monks. But the zealous mobs are far worse" He says to the dragon and begins to tell her of what happened to her family. "Her village found out and they punished the family by breaking the legs of their patriarch so he will never ride again...and they forcibly took all the horses they raised and sold it to the market except one. While her pony was being dragged away, the girl that became Thunder was both filled with sorrow and anger that she cursed the Immaculates for what they did...but her emotions eventually is what caused her exaltation to spark like a butterfly whose fluttering of its wings lead to a tornado"

"She ran towards her pet while being grabbed by the mob, but her sudden second breath blew them away and she escaped with her dear pony, not even the wrath of the Immaculate mob would dare cross her"

Amilar Ereyo The tale of that old Hadlasii tradition, and its ban by the gentes who brought the Immaculate Faith to these lands, leaves Ereyo with mixed feelings. Her own faith has been showing cracks after her more recent congress with Anathema, and she was never the most pious member of her family to begin with.

On the other hand, the importance of the Perfected Hierarchy has been imparted on her since her early childhood. Gods are not supposed to meddle with mortal affairs. Those blessed horses may seem harmless enough, but they're still a symptom of Tengertian directly responding to the worship of his mortal followers - a practice any self-respecting Immaculate would take offence at.

And yet, forcefully taking away that child's beloved pet strikes her as deeply wrong, not in line with the Code of the Righteous Warrior that Ereyo herself strives to live by. A violation of the Pillar of Compassion, clearly.

Tengertian can certainly catch a glimpse of those thoughts as they run through the Wai Tan-Junai's head - she doesn't really attempt to hide her feelings.

Once he's done talking, she gives a slow nod of acknowledgement. "I see. A Dragon's Second Breath is often accompanied by profound emotional turmoil. When she saw you in the sky, she thought it was you who blessed her - you, who aided her in that moment of grief and need."

Her eyes are getting wet, and the Air Aspect quickly blinks away the tears, hoping that the god doesn't notice. "Now, knowing her background, I might have a way of getting through to her. I will not be able to speak with Thunder again before our current mission has been accomplished - or Odyr will find itself in even greater peril than it is now. After that, though, I will do everything in my power to aid my wayward kin in coming to terms with her inner truth, and accepting it. This, I promise."

She salutes, hand over fist, before she speaks again: "Is there anything else that I should know about Thunder before approaching her with this matter? If so, speak freely. I have not come here to judge your past actions. If not... as I said, there is something else I would ask of you, Tengertian."

Deryl Laklan "I also blessed her horse out of pity and due to how she managed to ride for miles unimpeded. I bet that didn't help either. When I found her she clings to me like a lost child and I even told her to go to an Immaculate temple as she's a dragon but she is stubborn" He sighs just by talking about his experiences with her. "Yet she conveniently explained I'm her exigent even if I did not petition nor steal a spark for it. I guess she heard stories about Great Forks" He facepalms although it seems he has bigger concerns.

"If you try to convince her she is not an exigent but a fellow dragons, I recommend not using Immaculacy as talking points as her grudge against the followers of the philosphy is still strong. She almost killed a mortal Immaculate monk that tried to convince her she's a dragon while angered, which lead to her air essence almost blowing him to fall off a building." The more he talks about it, the more he gets worried. "I hope you do talk her into accepting what she is and receive training from others of her kind. This is for her own good even if she annoys me" He says with unadmitted care for her.

"And what else do you seek?"

Amilar Ereyo Ereyo looks touched by the god's worry for Thunder, despite the many grievances she's caused him with her stubbornness. She smiles briefly. "Very well. I will take care to not mention the Faith, or anything related to it. Thank you. As for my request..."

The Lookshyan gestures around her, at the storm-ridden plains, the thunderstruck tree. "I seek communion with the Essence of storm and lightning, to deepen my sorcerous understanding of their power. There are certain spells that allow a sorcerer to harness lightning itself - not to harm, but to help. As a god of storms, will you aid me in this endeavor? Showing me the way to a place of power on the Hadlas Plains, where I could meditate, would be a good start."

Deryl Laklan "Very well, I do know a rare spell involving lightning but the source of it has been long obscured and with a few rumors about it even among the gods. Some say it was taught by a spirit in heaven that isn't a god that disappeared in the old times. I'm not ancient enough to know sadly" He says ominously regarding the origins of this spell. "Thankfully this is of the Terrestrial circle so you can learn it" The god smiles to the child of Mela.

"I can also teach you this spell right now, invoking a spider that can weave lightning itself"

Amilar Ereyo At first, Ereyo hesitates. The offer is very tempting... but the god might demand a price, or a favor, in exchange for knowledge. Mastering the spell will take some time, too. She would have to work on it during the ongoing mission.

And yet, she can't help herself. Bringing such old knowledge to Lookshy would be too valuable.

"Yes, Tengertian. If you are willing to be my Teacher, I would like to learn." Ereyo smiles at him, hoping to conceal her conflicting emotions. "Let us begin right away."
