Hoarfrost Never before has Hoarfrost made so many trips out to Great Forks in so short a time. She is surely getting used to the journey. Each time she makes it her body is a little less sore and has a bit more energy. Still though not looking used to the crowds. Walking at a brisk as pace as she can through the temple district to Tenken's little hide away.

"You've been there before. It was where we had the meeting with Tenken. The pack has runners that go through now and then. I can at least let them know your one of us now. If your in trouble or have resources to spare you can go here and give the password." Pushing out of the crowd and into the entrance of the small temple. Taking a moment to catch her breath before waving her companion to follow. "You just say -ah" spotting an attendant for the temple. "Lost Souls and Hopeless Causes are found in light"

Amethyst Amethyst is fairly used to traveling by this point. And this is a heck of a lot more pleasant than her journey out /to/ Hoarfrost. And for once she gets to follow someone rather than just blazing her own path. As much as her essence yearns in her blood and as much as she's done thus far, it's sure nice to have someone to help her with all of these things. She doesn't actually say anything, she only nods to her mentor. She looks a little lost in thought, as she can only think of how she's going to end up explaining to her mother, that she ended up becoming a Dragon and instead of searching out her own kind she ended up with a Lunar to mentor her.
Tenken An attendant walks over, but as he overhears the phrase uttered by Hoarfrost, he turns around and hurries off. Shortly afterward, Tenken rounds the corner into the entrance room and smiles at the two. He looks a bit perplexed upon seeing two that were already involved in his investigation and mission against the malevolent Order, as the phrase used was code used primarily by those of the Silver Pact when a safehouse or some other assistance was needed. Looking over Amethyst, something is certainly a bit different about her, more spiritual power resonated from her frame this time than last... and Tenken wonders what exactly happened. Closing the doors to the temples, the stone shuts and looks to be a simple unbroken wall from the outside, as he says "Hello Hoarfrost.. Amethyst.. Lost Souls and Hopeless Causes are found in Light. What can I do for you today, did something happen?" His concerned expression is genuine, though his head is spinning at the small world in which he lives, as paths converge between the mission that has consumed him and his other 'night-work role' as a collaborator with the pact.
Hoarfrost That seemed to get a quicker reaction from the attendant than she expected. Glancing over the Amethyst and giving her a smile as they wait. The small witch turns and gives a little bow to Tenken as he approaches. "Greetings Tenken, its good to meet you again." As before she is wide eyed and has a big smile to match "We didn't get a chance to speak much after the last meeting, I hope I didn't cause a stir but I wanted to introduce a new exalt to our little family and get them familiar with our safe houses and ways of communication between the pack." Making a gesture to Amethyst implying who the freshly minted exalt it. "I was actually hoping to have a word there is a few things I have been putting off discussing."
Amethyst The Dragon gives a little bow. Her slightly violet skin, a little streak of sea-blue in her hair, and her eyes that remind one of the sparkling sea, it's clear which sort of Exalt and which Aspect she's become. But just prove her point, her hand shimmers briefly as a little bit of water materializes. She holds the little ball of in her hand, grinning and looking towards Tenken. "It is an honor." But there's worry in her eyes too. Uncertainty and nervousiness.
Tenken Tenken claps slowly but resoundingly, and offers a grin. "Well now little dragon, it seems that we have added yet another black sheep to our motley crew! No need for nervousness or anxiety, you are in a safe place, and among friends. Hoarfrost wouldn't have brought you here without knowing that, as that is primarily what this temple is for. While I do have ambitions of my own in the area to grow my following as a war god - a useful cover for one such as myself to explain away my own odd power - this temple is really a safehouse for exalts, of ALL types, and my doors are open to you both." Tenken's athletic frame is covered in starmetal, and despite his nature as one of the Solar exalted, his essence does appear to have oddities that would cause many to perceive him as a spirit or god. I hold no grudges against entire types of people just because of what they were born as (or become), actions are what define people, not their heritage. As one that must hide my own nature myself, I understand what its like to do so and want you to know that you can always come here, and even stay here if needed. This temple is more than it seems, and both of you will at some point soon realize what I mean by that, whether today or in the near future, and things will make more sense."

Looking to Hoarfrost, Tenken says "Its great to meet you again as well, I know we didnt have much of a chance to talk at that last meeting, so I am happy for the chance. Pulling a bottle from a nearby cupboard, he pours three glasses of a dark brown liquid, and hands them out. It seems to be a liqour of some type, one that warms the body and goes down smoothly. Raising his glass, he says "For anything you've been putting of discussing, this is a safe place to do so, there are certain protections from prying eyes and ears here, and this is about the safest place in the area to speak." Motioning them to follow, he moves into the room where the previous meeting took place, decorated with only a single lacquered wooden table, circular and aged, sitting in the center of the circular room.

This time around though, as Amethyst has channeled essence, some new things are able to be seen. A sigil has begun glowing in one section of the circular table - that of water. As Tenken approaches, a sigil resembling the caste mark of a dawn solar also alights on the table, and one of Luna's chosen also lights up. "Im not sure why, but it seems our fates have been entwined in a number of ways mysterious to me, but it is obvious, as this place was built in the first age, and has ammenities and protections for those other than solars, and groups that would normally not be joined in common purpose or friendship are found to, at least in this place, be expected. I have not yet figured out all the features of this place, but through a type of 'portal' in the temple's depths, there is an attached place of power, which can be felt resonating strongly when more of our kind enter." A vague pulsing and humming rise in spritual pressure can be felt emanating around them in a pleasant manner, reinforcing his point. He motions to the chairs and takes a seat.

Hoarfrost Hoarfrost takes the brown liquid. Giving it a swirl experimentaly before giving it a sniff. She hasn't even taken a drink before Tenken has started leading them away and deeping into the temple. "I have noticed that too. The strange workings of fate that is." Finally taking a sip of the drink as she stands hear her No-Moon cast mark at the table. "Forty years I have tended my forest and while I have had to spook off a few poachers or Guild loggers I have never had no less that three Lawbringers stumble their way into my home in the last few months. A few Lunars looking to expand their territories too. It was enough to get me out of my forest again to see what all the commotion was."

Taking a seat, giving Amethyst a smile as she does so. Curious how she is doing, understanding she is nervous. If she sets near she gives her hand a little squeeze of reassurance. "I didn't have anything too dire I suppose. Just that I have been working with you for a while now or at least your associates. Your temple has sent about every new Lunar in the area my way for training and tattoo's. I'm sorry so say I haven't checked into the temple sooner. I admit I had no idea there was such a set up. Most safe houses for the pack are ... well holes in the ground one might say. At least the ones I have seen." She chuckles and tries not to think how small and fragile her tiny hovel is compared to all this.

"It resonates more? You surmise this will activate something if you have enough, or at least the right kinds of exalted? Your trying to form a Circle?"

Amethyst The little dragon looks up at Tenken as she's addressed. "I... have reasons for being nervous." She says, looking away and looking towards the liquid. "Just a few weeks ago I was still dedicated to the Immaculate Philosphy. I remember the routine each morning, of rising, honoring each of Immaculate Dragons, and then going about my day. And the little offerings I would dedicate to them. It all feels so hollow and empty now. And I feel very thoroughly lost." She just seems /tired/.

"I wake up one morning and I discover that not only is my new acquintence has past life memory, but that I shared them with her. And then I discover that she is a Chosen of Luna. And I discover that I am surrounded by all sorts of different Exalts, up to which point I believed were just evil demonic /things/ that pretended to be people... And then one day, I find out the very Dragons I've been praying to for so long aren't even real. They died to give birth to us. And I don't have any hope in praying to the Dragon-Blooded Host." She walks and doesn't take a seat, she just keeps pacing, thinking, her mind racing. Ears middle and back.

"And then there's the fact I am a Dragon myself. I am not... as I would've once called it, Anathema. And I can't believe that this feels like it's a problem for me, 'cause it feels like I can't really be one with you either. But I can't just forget everything that's happened. The books that I so treasured, that helped me battle against the wyld-horrors that I had to face to earn my sorcerous power." Her tattoos glow, and with an almost imperceptible motion she's used her ritual dagger to open a small wound so that her blood can flow out and orbit her. "Those stories were all I had to tie myself together, unify my essence with the world and figure out my place in everything. And /they're all wrong./" Frosty's never seen her blood orbit her quite so quickly. It doesn't take long until little tears form on her eyes.

"And so I'm here, having thrown my lot in with the only folks that seem to be still be /real/. You all face the peril of death just /existing/. So I think your stories might be a little more accurate. I just..." she sighs exasperatedly. "Why does becoming a Dragon have to be so /hard/?"

Tenken Looking to Hoarfrost, "I truly don't know, but I do believe that something will happen once a circle is formed... ever since the meeting, I have been having dreams, or perhaps something closer to visions... of a past life. In this past life, much similar to our situation with a group of various exalts, this past life was one in which friends came from all types of exalts and hertiages, and despite the differences they were a circle. I believe that it is more than coincidence that we now find ourselves in a similar situation, with a motley crew working together. The past life had a lunar mate, other solars in their circle, dragon-blooded friends and allies, all working outside of the teachings and histories that mark our peoples today. Time will tell what would happen if more exalts come here, and also become part of a true circle with oaths and true ties, but I have a feeling it is important in the fight against the Order and yet unknown perils. Truth be told, I first inherited the manse as a birthright, the single thing gifted to me by my father - Ahlat... - and I don't know what knowledge he had, or if it was just another fated occurence, but when I finally made my way to the manse, The Order was already there and attempting to use it for something aligned with their atrocious plans. I fought to take it from them, and in this process exalted... this is when the first vision happened, but I hadn't had more visions until our meeeting, and that was a gap of 33 years... I do wish to form a circle and to do some good in this world, but I am hesitant about taking too drastic of action because of the stories of how things spiral out of control and descend to darkness... but I do know staying silent on the sidelines is not something I wish to be. What else I know, is that a circle consisting of different castes, exalts both terrestrial and celestial, will end up being a key to unlocking powers of the manse and that it is aligned with my own personal beliefs and feelings. Loneliness and isolation is something many of us feel as exalts of all types, and confusing histories telling us the dangers of the other types dominate teachings leftover in our time, yet all my actual experiences tell me otherwise."

This said, I do offer my allegiance to help you and the others working with us to keep safe, and to aid in our collective goal, as well as offer this place as a place to stay, as the manse below the temple is much to large for one man, and it is obviously meant for others to make use of..."

To Amethyst, Tenken nods and smiles warmly, our lives have been hard. and unfair, and many lies swirl around that form the foundations of the construct for reality in which we live, survive, and die. I have found many of the self-evident truths to be lies, and this is why i have come to believe in others by their actions, not in what texts say. Other than that, I don't know how else to process the contradictions... so I sympathize little dragon."

Hoarfrost Hearing Amethyst's troubles the young witch fidgets in her seat again. Particuarlly the part about knowing the Dragon's are no more. "You are handling it all rather well I have to say." Trying to sound encouraging. "Once you get a bit of training and better learn to use your essence you will be a match for the rest of us." Giving her hand another squeeze.

Taking another sip of the liquid, savoring it as she thinks "Past lives ... This has been happening to me too." Looking to the Dragon beside her curious if the tattoo's of her's are still discolored like the last time she saw them "Amethyst and has come up with a sorcerous working for exploring past lives and memories. We are still trying to parse out what mine are trying to tell us, perhaps we can help you organize yours? Who better than the original owner to tell you how this place works?"

Tenken Tenken's eyes widen at the prospect - "As a sorceror myself I can't believe that I haven't thought of that, Ame you are quite a prodigy... my research is more related to spirits, the soul hun/po, essence manipulation and modification... I have lost sight of many other areas of research. I think that is a wonderful idea Hoarfrost."
Amethyst Amethyst's tattoos aren't discolored anymore. After rest and finding her friend, they've become their typical prismatic sort. "I just need to go over them. There are still many a good lesson in them." She stiffens herself a litlte, as she recalls. "Some branches of the tree are ultimately rotten, and must be trimmed. And occasionally, so do entire trees. But the forest still stands." And she continues, "And so, I just need to find a way to reconcile them all together."

And she smiles at Tenken. "Well, strictly speaking, it was a power my mother has. And I wasn't /supposed/ to have it yet. Ideally in the coming years I would've gone through more trials back in Elderloch, I would gain each one in time. Well, no time's like the present." And she smiles. "The tide comes when it pleases. So does fate. We must always be ready to adapt." She sure knows a lot of those koans. Maybe something here has restored her confidence in them. "I'd be more than glad to help you find the secrets of this manse. And I have other plans I'd like to talk about too, involving the secrets the Monks keep from the official texts..." She has this delicious grin on her face.
