Amethyst It starts with a distant sound of... something. Something loud and alchemy-sounding. Amethyst is standing in an area that was once covered in snow, but in a instant her 'controlled firedust' reaction has cleared out a good chunk of it. It's fortunate there are no trees near her, tho that is likely by intent. She's found a good spot to setup her alchemy stuff so that it won't accidentially do anything to Frosty's forest. In the center there's an alchemical pyre, sorta like the one she used when Frosty's home was left cold. Surrounding it are the carts she had her stuff in, but repurposed for makeshift shelves and worktables. And a bit beyond that there's something like warning markers, some sort of compound that lets the local wildlife know that inside of this clearing there is danger.

Amethyst herself is finally covered in enough clothing that she isn't particularly bothered by the cold. Boots, face wrap, and a hat, in addition to the silken cloth made by Rishi's spider and all of the various alchemical things that she just keeps on her person. She muses to herself in high realm, probably about alchemy things as she goes and starts working towards something or the other.

Hoarfrost For the moment the witch has taken the form of a tiny winter fox. White coat blending well with the snow around it as it slinks through the forest. Only the crimson eyes give it away as something other than just an ordinary fox. Hoarfrost doesn't know where this little clearing Amethyst has set up is but even her inept sense of smell can track the chemical scent through the forest to the source. Sleek and agile and nearly silent. The acrid scents and smoke make it hard to approach. The inner beast warning of all the dangers it could be. Stronger of mind she pushes into the clearing. Hopping up onto some table to see what is going on. Curiously sniffing and nosing at jars.
Amethyst "Ah Frosty!" The alchemist scritches the wolf. "I'm just getting to founding a new place for my workshop. Hopefully disrupting as little as the forest around me as I can." The witch can definitely still smell the chemical scent. "For now I am working on setting up a warding to keep out the cold, and to find a more permenant solution to warning the wildlife than this stuff." She pokes a bottle that has something in high realm on it. Whatever it is, it doesn't look particularly pleasant. "Eventually I'll find the means to get a building here, but for now this will do."
Hoarfrost As Fox-Frost is scirtched it does that walk forward animals do when they insist that the hand pet all of her. Chittering happy in the way fox's do that is utterly terrifying to anyone not yet used to the noise. At least she isn't doing the fox-scream. Not able to read the labels she feels a sudden connection to animals everywhere of not knowing what words mean. As Amethyst speaks and it Is clear that there is no disillusion that it's the Lunar and not a normal animal she sits and listens looking up intently to the other. Tail wrapping about her paws like a soft blanket.

"~You have come far with little. That is very important to learn. Often in life we are forced to start over or forced to adapt to less than idea conditions and you have done fantastically.~" It is said in the strange non-language she has used before, all fidgets and minor movements yet it comes through as deep and richly as words spoken."~And thank you for respecting the land here. It means a lot to me."

Amethyst "I started by selling whatever valuables were left in my father's home." Amethyst explains. "I didn't carry any money with me, and it's difficult to do alchemy without any supplies. But in time I built up my stock again, started getting some regular traffic, albiet from folks that did not have much coin." She gives Hoarfrost a loving and mischevious scritch, "And I started rebuilding my life. And then I flipped out and burned it all down. 'Course to others I'm gonna say it was an 'accident'." The alchemist shakes her head. "I'm just glad I get to rebuild it with you~" and quieter, "also with a few wagons full of supplies"
Hoarfrost Hoarfrost leans into the scritch. Tail flicking back and forth happily as she does so. Muzzle opening into a kind of sideways smile. Eyes full of happiness recognizing the love in the action. "~I am glad we get to do this together too.~" is her natural response with a most affectionate tone. "~I have been thinking of summoning Elementals to help us with this task ... Earth, and Wood could build something strong and living.~" Hopping off the table, weaving between Amethyst's legs and into the area of the clearing again looking for where a good place might be to put such a thing. Curious though she hasn't changed into another shape. Usually she tries to spend most of her time with Amethyst in her human shape.
Amethyst "Elementals, hmm." She looks at the space. "I think that could work well, but I'm afraid my knowledge of elementals is somewhat limited." She contemplates. And then she giggles as her love nuzzles against her. For her part, Amethyst doesn't seem to mind animal!Frosty. She's adorable either way. And with time Amethyst also should be able to take animal shape, if so she decides she still wants to do that. Decisions decisions. For now alchemy is on the Alchemist's mind. "Something that won't be eroded by my anima or by my recklessness. Preferably solid stone or some sort of enchanted wood." As for where? Amethyst has actually already marked out the area she's doing her alchemy within. She goes towards the ring and places a hand next to it, and then points towards the other side. "~About this big?~"
Hoarfrost Sniffing about the ground she finds the markings surrounding her little alchemy area. Pacing the area as the size and shape of it is described. Soon she has marked little lines between the markers giving a rough outline of the house. Returning to Amethyst's side within the markings. "~Solid Quartz for the shop perhaps? A home made of wood above, less oppressive and can heal from the anima damage.~" she is no architect herself, hoping the elementals will have that knowledge when they are summoned.
Amethyst Amethyst smiles, "Quartz, now that's exotic. I love that idea." She goes over and gives Frosty another scritch and rests her head against her. "~So soft and fuzzy~" She definitely doesn't mind that her love is in such a fuzzy form. Tho she is curious of why. "Can you do sorcery in that form?" She wonders.
Hoarfrost The fox leans back in with its whole body as Amethyst leans her head on her. Tail wrapping about as if to hug. Her own head lay atop the alchemists comfortably. Her fur is soft and warm, except of course towards the feet that is still damp with snow. Giving a little yawn of contentment she starts to settle in just as the question is asked. "~Of course. It takes some getting used to but sorcery is purely an act of mind over essence at its core. My will is still my own even in this form." Lifting a paw and extending it out a little, paw splaying open and closed as if opening and clenching a fist. The air humming a bit with sorcerous intent.
Amethyst The alchemist nods and watches, feeling the essence as it shifts and changes. This makes her wish that she had vision dust in her system right now to watch the sorcery unfold. Actually, she does usually carry some with her. She grabs a little vial of purple liquid and just drinks the entire thing. And when her eyes refocus, she can see the myriad of colors and swirms of essence in front of her. "So pretty." She muses, scritching her love.
Hoarfrost As the drug takes hold and the world of essence opens to the alchemist the essence in the air and in the earth have both bent and changed. As the sorcerous fox weaves her magic, she seems to be the center of a great tree. Below her great reaching roots of essence extend below moving the essence in the earth drawing its strength but also its water hidden within. Over the young lunar it branches out like a great tree. It's leaves soaking up the essence of the sun and sky. All five elements drawn into harmony by the will of the sorcerer. The fruits of which begin to take shape in a new form. Amethyst as she was in the dream they both shared, no that's not right. The color is a little off and the hair never had that streak moving through it. The form comes into stronger fidelity and its clear that its older as well. Its Amethyst whole again with all her mutations intact, now fully realized as a dragon. The illusion giving a little bow.
Amethyst Amethyst gets up and looks at the illusion before her. She giggles and rubs her eyes as tho to make sure this isn't just a side effect. "Wow..." She says, "It has been a long time since I've witnessed another using sorcery like this." She walks around the illusion and Frosty, and then she turns to herself. Her own essence also fascinates her now. Although she cannot tell an Exalt from a Spirit, she's still enamoured by the things she can do now. And after getting distracted by looking at her hands she settles down next to Frosty again, resting against her head on her, as tho Frosty were a pillow!
Hoarfrost As the branches and roots fade, retracting back into the small little fox a resonant energy forms about her tattoos. Just for a moment the intricate fractal pattern that runs up her legs almost like socks or lace flash in the drugged vision of the alchemist. "~That should let you see your own essence correct we could use that to-eep!" a mildly undignified squeak as the sorcerous is used like pillow. Legs flattening out under her. Wiggling slightly to make sure she can get comfortable under the new weight. "~Or we can nap.~" not that she sounds like she minds. The solid illusion joining them in the snuggling begins to do Amethyst's hair brushing it. "~Rishi helped me realize I could use my spell to help show you ... well what I could do with my magic to you, when your ready of course.~"
Amethyst "So that's what you could make me look like." She muses, looking towards the figure in amazement. "I would be a water dragon..." She says, grinning. "A fish and a Dragon" And she chuckles at her love's eep. "That's pretty nifty there Frosty. It might be some time before I'm ready for all of that tho. I'm still getting used to my own power, after all."

"Say, why are you a fox instead of a person?" She asks, looking towards her fluffy friend. "~Not that I mind~" being communicated as she scritches and enjoys the lovely fur.

Hoarfrost There is a pause as she is scritched again. Mentally noting that being in animal form seems to get her more scritches. Still she fidgets a little shyly. The side effect of her charm seeming to be she is even easier to read, just about saying ~shy~ without meaning to. "~Rishi came to visit. I took her up on her offer from the other day.~" there is a little hesitation. Her form shifts and her body changes. The fur pulling away, the pillow under the alchemist growing.

Positioned so Amethyst's head is in her lap now the human shape finishing taking form. "I don't know why I was nervous ... feels silly in retrospect." She is ... bigger, though perhaps in a more subtle way that Rishi herself. Even sitting it is clear she is taller. Less lanky yet still long limbed looking almost similar to the grace her unicorn form has. Looking up from Frosty's lap its hard to miss another increase in size. She is not flat anymore, a curve to her that is hard to miss.

Amethyst "Ah. I uh, see." Amethyst says, looking up at Frosty. Then as tho wanting to get a better look, Amethyst rises and looks over towards her. Then she looks at herself, then back at Frosty. "...Wow, you look, beautiful." "~And I don't~" Amethyst's flat features are even more flattened by all of the clothes she has on to not freeze out here. If not for her voice and her slenderness, one might mistake her gender.
Hoarfrost There is more too. There is a color to her skin. She is still albino that is unchangeable after all it is her tell. Rishi seems to have brought some rosiness to her cheeks and other places giving her a bit of warmth to her otherwise cold features. The gauntness in her face similarly replaces with softness giving her a much more inviting look. A few spots of freckles dot her cheeks as well, missing their pigment they are hard to spot only standing out in the flushed areas like cheeks and a bit on her chest. As Amethyst moves to get a better look Hoarfrost too stands. She is wearing the more reasonable dress the spider made. Though now with the extra height the skirt has gone from knee length to pushing at mini skirt. Her legs are looong. The little alchemist is almost exactly chest hight against her love. She still has that thin features, hips wider but just enough to give her a bit of her feminine curve. "You think so?" smile spreading over her face as warm and loving as ever. "I'm so glad ... part of me worried you wouldn't like it."
Amethyst The little alchemist is feeling incredibly little right now. Her ears are down, her eyes not really making contact. She glances away entirely and closes her eyes, the cold feeling just a little bit colder. "~Loneliness~" is communicated fairly well. She sighs, and considers something. Amethyst herself could be beautiful if so she chose, but she hasn't. She knows the right mixtures, the right alchemy and sorcery needed for such a thing. Yet she's stubbornly held onto her birth shape, despite her height and weirdness. There's pride she takes in it, and now she feels just a little bit further from her love. Metaphorically and, in the case of height, literally.
Hoarfrost "I know that look." Hoarfrost's voice is soft warm as it was before. An odd kind of touch stone to her pervious shape. "I know it because I saw it on my own face so many times." She want to hug the dragon but she scared she might cross a line like she did before with the kiss, still a little unsure what kind of contact is wanted. Instead she sets back down and pats the space next to her. "Do you want to talk to me about it? I am always here for you. I want to help you through all your struggles." Voice hopeful eyes sparkling bright.
Amethyst And so Amethyst goes and sits next to her love, leaning against her a little. "I'm not terribly beautiful or charming or anything like that." She starts, "I'm just a sad little alchemist. But then there are an awful lot of savants that are mad or weird in their own ways. And few are known for their graces. And you're weird too." She pokes at Frost. "But now you're beautiful." The way she says it, it's like she thinks she doesn't deserve such a thing in her life. And she gently touches the lovely face of Hoarfrost, sighing and then looking away.

"You're just as graceful and lovely as your totem. And you look more at home with yourself than ever. Me? I hadn't even considered my appearance lately. I want to look professional and to inspire confidence, and I routinely fail at that but! That doesn't stop me. Ugh, I just, I need everything." She gestures to her alchemy supplies. "My mother has charged me with establishing a foothold in Great Forks as part of her own ideas, and here I am waaaay off in a forest. I really need to find a new shop. I was hoping to at least be where we were at before I left for Elderloch. And there's still a bastion over in Champoor that she can fall back on, but me? I might've just." And Amethyst just makes an angry noise. "Being Exalted doesn't mean that my problems all suddenly vanish when I don't eve know how to /use/ this power of mine." There's just a venerable knot of emotions and worries stuck in the little alchemist.

Hoarfrost Hoarfrost leans back into the other. Smelling of pine and herbs and just faintly of the animals she cares for. Grinning as she is poked. "A compliment I will gladly take." In respects to the comment on her weirdness. Softly nuzzling the hand just as she had as a fox distracted in a moment, unable to finish what she meant to say before the other looks away. With and soft sigh she tentatively tries to wrap an arm about the other. Stopping if its seems to make the other uncomfortable.

"Your mother I think would first want you safe and happy." Not that she has much experience with mothers, but that seems to be what most books have said on the matter "You can do so much more for yourself and your family when you have a better grasp on your powers and on yourself. I promise I will do everything I can to help you." Ruffling her hair a bit playfully she grins "You have friends with Solars, and the very pack of Lunars in the area. Being of great power, how is this not a hold in the city? Are these not the contacts you said you searched for?"

Amethyst "I'm glad my mother had never cared much for Immaculate Doctrine." Amethyst muses. And then a penny drops. She has contacts with the Silver Pact through Frosty, and she personally knows a whole bunch of Solars. A lot of folks that could help her in her endevours. She is a lot better off than she gave herself credit. And that reminds her of a fellow named Socket who had promised her a new shop sometime later down the line in exchange for services. And she nods. She just needs to call in on a favor if she can track her down.

In a quieter voice, she asks, "The Pact does exchanges in favors, right? I'm sure there's some in it that would be glad for my alchemy in exchange for getting me materials to practice." She considers, was it Rishi? that was talking about tracking down the plants in the wild. Tho Amethyst is not well suited for it, she's sure there's Lunars well capable of it. "If I can get a proper supply chain established, I can do so much more. Especially now with my powers as a Chosen."

Hoarfrost Seeing the realization cross her face Hoarfrost chuckles. "You stumbled into a den of anathema and came out with a bunch of what looks like life long friends." Giving Amethyst a little hug. "Took your second breath too. You have come so very far in the last few months! Imagine what you will do in a few more?" closing her eyes and taking a deep breath of the cool air, smiling just truly happy together with Amethyst. The loneliness of her prior existence here feels so far away.

"Yes we trade in favors all the time. Better than money. Most of us don't even carry it. Most of us don't have a single home to work or craft. I'm sure someone would be delighted to bring you want you need. I'm Sure Spring Wind has connections to the black market for the rarer things. Though what she might ask in return ... I haven't a clue honestly."

Amethyst "If I get enough going, maybe I could work my way up towards the dreams of most alchemists: Transmutation and Age Starving Cordial. The former would let me take worthless metal scrap and make it into valuable silver. And the latter? To say nothing of how it would give me immortality so long as I had it, but it also sells for an extraordinary price." She grins. "How, exactly, do Lunars meet? I think I have some deals to make..."
Hoarfrost "You already have the local location of the network. The names and faces of the powers in the area I do believe. I myself can get in contact with a few people I know and we can get things rolling now that we have introduced you a bit." That meeting with Tenken a bit more than just showing Amethyst the safe house it was to get her familiar with the main contact points with the pack in the Great Forks area. To make sure they know she is part of the informal little group. "If you want standing in the pack beyond your name being known you have to earn it. Its is just how work work. Don't worry your friends are all here for you." When the Cordial is mentioned she stiffens a little a bit of a nervous look perhaps just in the corner of the eyes before she relaxes again. "Transmutation ... it is a lofty goal but I am sure we can get you there!"
Amethyst Amethyst chuckles at her love's reaction. "We are safe here, right?" She nudges her playfully, "No one around to overhear us?" And then she considers the network and another penny drops. She rubs her face. "Right, I should probably head towards Tenken's temple once I get my new base of operations setup." And then she considers. "What would it take to prove myself to the Pact? Of course I'd like to not need to leaaaaan" And she leaaaaans, "on you for things." '
Hoarfrost "It is not safety ... just bad memories. That is one of the reasons the guild tried to send men into this forest." Hoarfrost says softly. "They said they knew one of the ingredients grew here when I ... well shorty after I exalted." Shifting a bit the topic seems oddly uncomfortable for her. "The logging operation they started was a front for its collection. The Wendigo's Kiss grows in in a grove not to far from my home." The hesitation in her voice makes it clear the information is important to her, but she is unable to hide something so important with the one she loves.

"As for proving. It could be a show of strength, wits, though I prove myself through dependability. I take less than I give, and I am there when I am needed. This has given me more than afew boons from my fellows and a place of respect at our meetings." The witch explains leaning back with a growing smile on her face. "Leaning is what people who are together do yes? Become one fight together, they are the strength of their bond?"

Amethyst Amethyst blinks. "Y-you have what growing here?" Her eyes widen. "That's, one of the harder ingridents to get for the Cordial..." She has lowers her voice, almost whispering in awe. She swallows. "My mother once told me the story behind it. But I always thought it grew in the wyld..." Clearly the story she heard had taken place near the rim of creation, and certainly it acts for a neat analog of the curses and blessings the wyld can give.

"Maybe I should sharpen my technique" Amethyst suggests, wanting to get away from the scary plant. "And I've still not tested my abilities in earnest."

Hoarfrost Hoarfrost's expression brightens "You know the story? I have never met anyone alive who has." Almost bouncing with joy to hear it. Elated they both share this story within them. "The old woman who owned the shack before I ... ah inherited it. She would tell me its story. It was my favorite." As giddy as can be she stands with excitement before bashfully setting back down realizing they are not even going anywhere. "I imagined the creature as some kind of powerful fae. Its unmaking and final desire for the moment it shared with its love to last forever changing creation a bit. Allowing the flower to exist"

It is more than pure academic interest that has her fascinated. The whole tale seems to get her exited. She is right at the edge of gushing about the tale when she realizes. "Please ... we must be careful with it. It is rare, and dearly hunted by the Guild if they found out that they where correct and it can be found here ..." swallowing at the prospect. "I drove them away fuled on rage, essence, and luck. Allot ... allot of lives where lost. Beast and people alike. I don't know if we could stop them if they came in force."

Amethyst Now it's Amethyst's turn to stand. And the slight-of-hand she does to retrieve her alchemical canisters sees her flick one into the air. And she dramatically catches it, looking afar. All of a sudden she bursts into the signature dark violet of her anima, "If they were to try something, I'd be right behind you." And her essence shapes and and conjures up the energy of her sudden fury, the essence in her blood that /yearns/ to be free, to go and change the world. "They'd be up against the entire forest, wouldn't they?" She grins as her own tattoos glow and her clothes billow in the mist that forms around her, making her seem just slightly more etheral, which only adds to her image.
Hoarfrost Images of the first conflict with the guild return to her. The fires, the fighting, the pack of winter wolves at her back. The body of a friend laying in the mud. She has not fought like that since. In her mind she never imagined fighting like that again. The anima snaps the witch from her own thoughts up to Amethyst who is now glowing with power. Skirts tossing a little in the breeze tossed of from the focusing magic.

Hoarfrost stands now a melancholy in her eyes but a smile on her face. "Your right I suppose we can not live in fear of things forever. It has always been the Lunar way to meet problems head on." Voice on holding the same kind of confidence as her friend. Watching her friend start to weave magic she tilts her head. Curious what she is going to cast.

Amethyst Of course, what else would she be casting? At a fine moment, her anima builds into a torrent of mist and wind, extending and brightening everything like a burning flame. She holds her hand high above her head, and the canister in her hand explodes into a flow of violet and blue and red as it draws out blood from her hand, forming into a narrow whip of blood and fury. In a moment, she flips it, settling down most of the wind, but her anima still burns strong, as she turns and grins at her friend. "We will meet them if they come. And we'll be more ready than them."
