Amethyst The hall is getting closer and closer to capacity, as more and more mutants and Raksha filter in. Oddly it seems most avoid this table, and Salara gets some odds look from the others as she sits with this green one.

"My name is Precious Breath, who do I make the acquintance?" The green ravager smiles.

Black Pearl "Call me True Talons," Salara replies. "They fear you," she says. "Or are jealous. I do not undersatnd why, though," she says with a smile.
Amethyst Precious Breath leans in, as if to share a secret, her voice is like honey, "They say they think my tactics are immature and cowardly. But I think they all are secretly terrified of waking up one night to find me in their sight in their final moments." There's a this malicious grin on her face.
Black Pearl "Success is what matters! The kill! Who cares /how/ it is gotten? Victory!" She smiels back, letting her lips curl up in a delighted smile.
Amethyst "Heh, keep talking like that and maybe Princess Maana will invite you to join us." Precious Breath seems to be absolutely joyful to find someone who /gets/ her. "I swear if I wasn't under strict orders not to touch them some of these boys would be dead before the morning. So I have to stick with my mild poison for those who spite me." She sighs and grumbles.
Black Pearl "Oh, I know how that is," True Talons says. "I've been wondering about...promotion. Getting to do something more than just this," che gestures at her knives. "Maybe I could have an introduction later? Or there's Glorious...the speech-giver..." She looks up towarsd the front. "I just want to be...more than I am."
Amethyst "Don't expect anything from him. I heard that he's just here to tell us about how poorly a recent attack on Elderloch went." Precious Breath sneers a little, it's clear she doesn't like the man. And then there's a pause, "I'll put in a good word for you, True Talons. I'll find you if anything is decided." She gives a little grin.

And at last the speech-giver makes himself known and oh gods that is a lot of orichalcum. He is covered head to toe in some artifact armor with a Reaver Diaklave on his back. Upon his brow is a prismatic mark that's probably supposed to resemble that of the zenith caste solars. He looks surprisingly human, but still has prominent and impressive mutations. One can only assume what sort of story he's trying to tell.

As he takes the stage, two others follow behind him. One who has a book and a pair of short swords as well as a strange device mounted to his arm, blue in color and looking more like a particularly dangerous ravager than the Raksha he is.

And the other is a monstrosity that looks to have been the inspiration for the shape of this city, bony growths darting his armored shells and a beak that looks like it could crack stone. He is this dark reddish-brown color and wears absolutely nothing -- he's plenty dangerous on his own.

And then there's one more who actually seems to have just /appeared/ on stage, the only one dressed in something other than belts or armor. She wears a flowing silken robe that is absolutely mesmerizing to watch, as it shifts between different shades of glowing blue. Her eyes are intense but focused, and her face is obscured by a mask made from crystal. Around her neck hangs a brilliant sapphire that shines. And Pearl knows this particular posture she has, another practitioner of the White Veil, one with concealed murderous intent.

Black Pearl True Talons gasps, and wispers, pointing at the one who appeared. "That has to be the Princess! She just appeared. The rest look...crude. Powerful, but crude compared to her..." Her breath inhales slightly and she watches. Unale to use her own skills now while under the watchful eye of someone who could recognize.

"And....how many throats would you slit, or people poison, to have some of their panoply...."

Amethyst "We are Glorious!" That giant man in gold chants, and everyone responds, well, the assassin near you doesn't, nor does the Princess, but almost everyone else does. "Today is a great day. We have seen the weakness of Elderloch for what it is. Had they not hired Exalted mercenaries, we would have easily crushed them." And more cheering.

Quietly, almost as though specifically spoken to True Talon, the green ravager murmurs, "Frame a defeat as a victory typically Glorious"

"Even so." Princess Maana steals some of his thunder. Glorious isn't happy but he doesn't interrupt. "They repelled our force and sent us back. But these mercenaries will only be there for so long, and even if they do remain, I will have poisons made especially for them and the Dream-Souled. In one season we will launch a full out assault against them. And then I shall feast upon the hearts of those who have defied the Raksha for so long." There's some cheering, but she's obviously not as popular as Glorious. At least until she gives this certain look that feels like it could kill you where you sit. And then the crowd erupts in cheers and she seems satisfied.

"Seige engines will be built, men trained and drilled until they are perfected killing machines. Our logistics will be parallel to none. Our firepower will outmatch them. And I will show them the might of our engineering." Comes the scrawny one who then charges this strange series of lenses. With a blinding rainbow light, a beam fires out and everyone can feel just a little woozy. It's to the point that most of the room is silenced in an instant as everyone has to regain their bearings after... /whatever/ that was. And this was without anyone being targeted!

"Ugh, Vain was a demonstration really necessary?" Comes from the monster. "Let it be known that if any of you are found to be slacking or not good enough to make the cut, I will enjoy devouring each and every one of you." He growls at the crowd and there's this nervous cheering. This guy is obviously feared by most of those here. "That is all, go back to your quarters and await further orders."

Black Pearl True Talons falls silent for the speech, and whistles a bit. "Wow. I didn't realize it was..." She shakes her head and then looks to Precious Breath. "And you'll be sneaking within the city to find them, right? How many others are like you? I wish I could do that...go into the enemy encampment and bring ruin to their people and leaders...."
Amethyst "I'm to keep watch here." Precious Breath explains, but says no more about it. "You best get back to your barracks. I'll find you later." Her entire demenor has shifted, she's far more tense, as though she's noticed something or feels as though she is being watched right now. She is not nearly as forthcoming as she was prior to the speech.
Black Pearl It's time. She doesn't have a barracks, but...she can at least go with others towars them, right? And try to break away? She starts to slip ot with the rest of the minions into the streets and swimways of the Dreaming Sea.
Amethyst Her disguise is /almost/ impeccable, but it won't last if she stays more than a day. And one can only imagine what would happen if she were to be caught. Fortunately, with all of the mutants going at once to various places, it would probably be fairly easy to slip away.
Black Pearl The dragon-blood makes her way through the streets, looking as though she knows where she is going and as though she belongs and is doing what she ought to do. But the time to leave is now. Hopefully she can find her companion and return back to their home.
