Raullaur It is a rainy day in the forests, making things gloomy, and masking sounds. Raullaur is walking easily enough along a gamepathe, mane soaked, but cheerful enough as he nods to gis companion. "Thank you for coming."
Misa Misa walks smoothly in turn- she's fairly heedless of the rain, if perhaps less... cheerful. She keeps her eyes roaming the treelines on either side, searching and contemplative. She considers the leonine man just a moment before responding quietly; "It is no especial problem. Though I do wonder, if you worry someone is hunting you, do you mean to speak at such volumes?"
Raullaur Raullaur 's voice is quiet as well. "Out here, i hunt. City is where I am hunted. Still, good to be quiet." He points to a hill a ways off. "That hill, near top, overlooking river. Will be silent then." Or now, as he stops talking but continues leading the way.
Misa There is little response from Misa- perfectly content to walk in the quiet for the time being. She trails behind slightly, continuing her general watch of the area around the two. Her hand rests at her side, fingers wrapped loosely around the scabbards of the two short swords at her hip. She exhales slowly after a few moments, raising her head as if she'd be able to better see something on top of the gestured-to hilltop
Raullaur As they get closer, therw are some old ruins seen, and at least some noise, but it seems...indistinct. Raul's tail flicks slightly ad he looks up. Motioning ti be off the trail, he walks towards a vantage point, slowlt climbing, and while nit silent, sounding more like a beast than human steps.
Misa It's fairly obvious that Misa has never been trained for *stealth* per se. That said, she's light of foot and wildly athletic, and does... passably. Probably good that she's hanging further back in all honesty, given the suspicion of dragon-touched among the ranks of those being looked into.
Raullaur Eventually, the courtyard of the ruins is visible, but there is no martial arts training. Miat seem ro be inside while a couole of people go between the buildings seemingly on errands.
Misa "... It may be difficult to glean too much without some manner to draw the group away and take a closer look," notes Misa, her voice barely more than breathing out the words. She settles herself onto a sturdy-enough branch of the nearest tree, pausing in silence for a moment. "Though at present, it appears to be either leisure hours or simply a small community moreso than a staging ground for some military engagement or great hunt."
Raullaur The people walking through the courtyard appear to be armed, and the visible weapons are chakrams and dual short swords.

"Can watch and wait...dont want to start a fight yet..."

Misa "You did not mention throwing arms, when last we spoke," Misa notes quietly, head shaking a little. "Further credence, perhaps, to the idea of this being related to the immaculate philosophy in one manner or another- certainly those rings would suggest the air dragon style."
Raullaur "I didnt see them," Raullaur growls softly. "I noticed three types of weapons. This is a fourth...if Immaculate, a fifth as well, yes? What would it be?'

The goings-on are peaceful, so far. But there are people keeping watcg, and no+one looks draconic. "And who in yhe city would set me against them?"

Misa "Earth- tetsubos, fire uses the swords, wood is known to use staves or make do with a bow for flexibility. These chakrams are for the air style- and the one you are missing is claws strapped to the hands or built into armour for those who practice water dragon style. They would also use slower, flowing motions in their practice, somewhere between Wood and the other styles in terms of spiritual focus," Misa explains, head tilting to the side as she considers the scene. "The problem is, the claws can be easy to hide on one's person depending on the working of them. And as for who in the city- it is difficult to say. Little love for the immaculate faith in the city of gods, for obvious reasons. I suspect you would want to look towards either recent arrivals or the social pariahs- those shunned overtly or subconsciously for being relatively faithless, so to speak."
Raullaur Raullaur ponders. "None of them look to have the strong marks of the dragons, at least. I wonder...if these are Immaculate...could the warband take them? U think there are a couple hundred here.'
Misa "... Well, that would depend on how well trained this particular group is. And not all princes of the earth show their markings so strongly- they often come with especial breeding or advanced age. I would not dismiss the group so lightly, doubly so if they are here from the Realm or Prasad- but either case would be quite the trek, so they may be more local and more likely to be less advanced in their skills," muses Misa, frowning a moment. "How many do you think are here? And how many do your men number?"
Raullaur Raullaur thinks a moment. "At least 90, no more than 150. So about half to a third my troop's size...and they are /good/. With same level if equipment, I would field them against the Brides of Ahlat and expect to at least draw, if not win. But everyone using the martial arts....could be problematic."
Misa "Your question then becomes," Misa notes, voice thoughtful if still almost inaudible. "Are these opponents trained to operate as a unit? There are things to consider, I think, in whether a disciplined force acting in concert might give an advantage- though wartime strategy is not my strong suit."
Raullaur "And i have not seen any military drill, so...I don't know." He shakes his head. "I am certain I can defeat them. I don't know what the consequnces of the dight would be." He pauses, "And war is my baliwik. So discipline counts for much."
Misa "Well, for my part, unless you intend to clear the camp for a time somehow so I can look for signs of who they may deal with, it may be best to reconvene after this theoretical battle," Misa notes, shrugging slightly at that. "The sorts of details I would need to examine to find a source are not quite feasible from this distance."
Raullaur Raullaur nods. "And I am trying to figure put if they /should/ be fought..." He trails off. "I bet my band could entice them out, but break contact instead of battle, give you time to explore..."
Misa "Judging by the size of the group and ruin, and the buildings they are frequenting..." Misa thinks aloud, frowning a little. "I would not need overly long. It does not seem especially difficult to work out their layout and at the risk of being self-aggrandizing, it may not compare to your likely warfare prowess but I am quite good at that element of what I do."
Raullaur Raullaur nods. "I have no doubtbof it. But for now...let's retirn to the city."
