Faolan Winter Star The day has been a bright one, the breeze is blowing out over there Yellow River allowing the docks to smell more pleasent than usual. It has been a busy day as usual with ships coming and going. What is unusual is the young woman stepping off of a local fishing boat.
Faolan laughs with the ship's captain again at the joke he had just told and steps onto the dock. She moves with the grace of a predator and a smile upon her lips. She wears a buff jacket over a light tunic. The jacket stands out from the rest of her simpler gear. The plates all shine from the silvery metal they are forged from as well as pair of gemstones set into the breastplate, one red and one golden with etchings betweeen the two. Though her clothing is plain, her appearance is anything but. Everyone looks at her as she walks by. She black hair with white highlights stopping at the middle of her back, her multicolored eyes seeming to pull people into them. Everyone saying they are a different color. Her skin so very pale compared to the locals marks her as a Northerner. Her companion draws as many stares but for different reasons. The black wolf walks sedately at her side, not really paying attention to anyone but alert.
Bright Journey In between the stacks of bulk goods and meandering longshoremen, there stands a two-wheeled carriage, like a largish rickshaw with a very bored-looking austrech loosely in the traces. It's looking off at a rather majestic ship some ways in the distance, over the water, while its merchant-looking owner is deep in negotiation with a slightly miffed-looking woman with bright pink hair. Her black cloak is covering her shoulders, but it doesn't entirely conceal the short, white dress--really just a long tunic--she has on underneath, nor the noticeable multicolored eyes.

As Faolan steps off the boat, the woman happens to catch the hair and eyes. One eyebrow raises as she's clearly distracted for a moment, but the merchant's petulant whine drags her attention back to him after a moment's pause. Her eyes narrow, a clear look of impatience crossing her features as she replies. Her eyes glance for a brief moment at Faolan again before she speaks to the merchant one more time, this time with an almost palpable sense of finality.

Rishi Near another ship, you can hear an exceptionally melodious voice also in ...discussion with another shipper, apparently having a disagreement over the trade of an ice block for a small package, though the people are hidden behind various bales and crates. The voice lowers for a few moments before singing forth in happy tones. A tall woman with a southern complexion and long, luxurious dark hair in a long cloak of black leather emerges, carrying a large wooden crate like it was nothing in her well muscled arms. While the crate and cloak hide most of the rest of her body, the short and tight silken pants do nothing to conceal the sculpted curves of her legs.
She looks pleased with herself and is humming a tune in that melodious, honey-like voice as she walks down the street. Until she stops, and cocks her head to the side, openly starting at the new arrival.
Spring Wind Spring's come passing by those gathered near the docks, ducking and weaving through the pedestrians on their way as she makes a beeline for Rishi and Bright's location. It seems the two unusual figures have caught her attention, as she hops slightly and slides across a crate as she looks between the two. "Hey!" she says, raising her hand in a wave. "Got some problems here?" she asks, looking at all gathered. "It sounded like quite the argument." she adds.
Faolan Winter Star Faolan turns to the fishing captain "Thank you again for helping me arrive safely, I'm glad I could help you catch those fish." She turns back starts walking. She walks past a couple of the ships then spots a flash of bright pink. She turns her head to see the beautiful woman when the multicolored eyes like herself and stops. What are the odds of meeting another sorcerer this soon after arriving in the city she wonders. She starts looking around the area and spots another woman with a crate that would normally take two to carry staring in her direction. This city is very odd and clearly full of wonders. Perhaps her goals will not be so hard to achieve after all.
Bright Journey In between the time the pink-haired one spoke last to the merchant and the time Pring and Rishi showed up, the merchant became a considerable amount less smarmy than before. Also less insistent. Perhaps even a bit less -coherent-, if the somewhat peculiar look on his face is anything to go by. The pink haired young lady finishes speaking to him, gives him a small coin pouch and an indulgent smile, and he wanders off into town leading his austrech--and the heavy-looking rickshaw--into town.

The young lady immediately makes her way over to where Faolan was heading, walking briskly past the dock workers. She's not dressed for a place like this, to be sure--her clothing is much too nice--but her confidence and assurance is palpable. When she manages to catch up, she sees Spring Wind trying to catch her attention, and Spring is trying to talk to her and...oh. Rishi. An open question who is more blindingly obvious around here. Fortunately, the person who she'd been eyeing stopped, too! Convenient, or maybe even destiny. Who can tell at this point?

Bright walks up without the slightest hesitation, making no effort to be furtive or coy. First, she looks at Spring Wind.

"No problems on my end, please rest assured. Or were you talking to her?" She gestures to Rishi, a wide grin on her face. "You really should do what I do, Rishi, and get hirelings to do that sort of thing. You're attracting attention." She giggles a bit, hand over mouth.

Rishi Anyone looking closely might notice the attractive, dark haired woman's eyes grow sightly larger and take on a slightly animalistic tinge as she intently studies the new arrival for a few moments, before a wide smile breaks out on her face and she approaches the other woman. "Hello!" she calls out in Riverspeak, her thick southern accent lacing her words. "I am being Rishi and it is most wonderful that I was happening to be here so I could be meeting you."
When she is joined by Bright and Spring, Rishi gives them both a smile then says "I am having no problems Spring. And you know that I am enjoying the attention, Bright, so it is being fine." She headtilts the other way "And if you have the hirlings to be handling this, why are you being here?"
Raullaur Supplies are needed, and they often come in by boat. And so a troop of leonine beastfolk walk towards one of the boats, mostly joking with each other. Head above the rest, Raullaur is watching to make sure that nothing untoward happens, but then--ah! But then, he catches sight of others that he knows and starts to walk towards the group. "Good day, to you all, ladies," he offers the quartet, voice rumbling deep and almost purring. "I hope all finds you well?"
Faolan Winter Star Faolan looks between the three ladies around her. "I seem to have walked into your meeting at the dock your ladyships. I do apologize if I was staring, it is not often that one encounters so many striking and powerful women at the same time." She says with a northern accent to her riverspeak. She rests her hand upon the wolf's head and pets him absentmindedly. She turns at the sound of Raullaur's voice. "I see you made it back to the city in one piece. Those guys were strange at the tower." She smiles genuinely to the large Lional commander.
Bright Journey Bright gets an even wider grin as she looks at Faolan, one as friendly as it is amused. "Oh, no, no, my dear. Never a need to apologize for calling me striking and beautiful." She laughs lightly. "I'm sure Rishi here feels the same way. Spring Wind--good to see you again, it's been quite some time!--and Raullaur I'm less certain about, but I'm quite certain Raullaur, at least, has gotten used to cutting a dashing figure."

Bright turns to Raullaur, her knowing grin never leaving her face. "Speaking of which, please do introduce us, Raullaur. I do believe your friend may be a kindred soul, of sorts." She chuckles quietly. "Something about the eyes, my dear."

Rishi "Meeting?" She waves her hand. "No, no. I was just happening to be running into some people I am knowing. It's being most alright." And she reaches down to pet the dog as Raullaur arrives.
Rishi goes to give Raul a quick hug. "Ah, you are meeting this new person already? Yes, yes please be introducing us."

She gives the new woman a broad wink. "I am most liking your hair." she says while idily running a perfectly manicured finger down her arm in a way that follows the path of one of Faolan's tattoos.
Raullaur Raullaur chuckles slightly and his tail flicks along behind him. "Bright Journey, Rishi, this beautiful lady is Faolan, who has come from the north." He gives a broad grin, "Faolan, these other beauties are Bright Journey, and Rishi, both of whom are sorceresses of some repute."

And then a nod, "I did get back, and have talked about what we saw with another...things are a bit more...complex than I thought. Perhaps we can speak of things later, though? Pleasure before business today, yes?"

Faolan Winter Star "Indeed Raullaur, pleasure before business. At least for me today. I've just arrived. It is much larger that I imagined it would be." Faolan looks to the others "Sorcerers, both of you? I can believe that Bright Journey knows a spell that I myself know if your eyes mean what I think they do." She turns to Rishi "You noticed my tattoos from that distance, that is remarkable."
Looking between the four other members of the conversation. "Has everyone here taken their second breath then? Is it that common in the city for so many to be gathered in one place?"
Raullaur "We go where we will, and the city...tolerates us, so there are more of us here than most," Raullaur says. "For now..I'm curius where all of you have been! It's not as lively with you gone," he says to Rishi and Bright. "And Faolan, delighted to see you again." He looks over at the troop who are busy unloading, and then starting to take things away, and there is remarkably no fuss whatsover.
Bright Journey Bright Journey grins again, nodding in agreement at Faolan. "Your eyes are what drew my attention as well, Faolan. A pleasure to meet you. I...hmm." She pauses as Faolan mentions the coincidence, and slowly nods. "Honestly? I wonder sometimes. Rishi in particular tends to be in the same place as I whenever someone new is in town for too awfully long, and I'm sure I'm not the first to notice." Her smile fades just a bit, but is still there. "It's hard to think about without wondering why, but I will not lie: I have reasons for meeting as many friendly people as I can. A couple reasons, in fact. We should, perhaps, find a slightly less public place to discuss that kind of thing, however."

Bright gives the area a quick once-over, looking to see if they're attracting too awfully much attention from the usual people here.

Rishi Rishi motions for quiet. "Shh. Please! It is best to not be discussing such things in the open. Your northern Pure Way is not having the influence in the city, but that is not meaning that there are being none of the listeners." she says quietly. "If you are wanting to be chatting about this, I am being done with my buisiness and I am knowing the good place to be talking about the things privately. Or we should be discussing the other things."
"Ah, Ammy was wanting to be visiting her old hometown and we were thinking it was sounding fun, so that is being where we have been. But it is being good to be back here, yes." She grins at Raul

Rishi headtilts, considering, "I am thinking Bright that it is just being the essence in side of us that is calling out and gathering those that it is finding. Like the connect-" she winces. "Ah, yes, I am I think, being ready to be proceeding with those rituals you and Bright were wanting done. I am being most sorry that it has been taking this long. We should be trying to find the time when you can be meeting with me to be finishing it."
Faolan Winter Star Faolan nods her head in understanding "The mortals would not be as receptive to that sort of discussion in public. I did come seeking allies for a task but that is not something I would talk about with those I have just met unless coin were involved and I do not have enough to pay for a bodyguard let alone two sorceresses or an army. I will have to negotiate in good faith with what I can offer."
She nods to Rishi, "A ritual, can I be of any assistance?" She seems eager to help. "Oh, do I need to worry about Fang? He's my friend and I don't want him to cause trouble with the local authorities."
Spring Wind "Iiiiinteresting." Spring says, finally speaking up. "Well, I mean, I know know people who know people so it depends on what sort of ritual we're talking about here. Lots of stuff takes a long time and mystic know-how so... I mean, I'm either on board or you might find your reagents chewed on by a rodent. Probably the former."
Bright Journey Bright Journey laughs out loud. "Oh, Rishi, it would be -just like us- to come back to the city to prepare this side of our little project, only for us to bring someone new to your girlfriend's attention. We could count the hours by how frequently this kind of thing happens." She shakes her head, smiling.

As Spring speaks up, Bright raises one pink eyebrow. "Oh? I'm actually not sure I ever knew you had talent along those lines as well, my dear. That, also, seems like a...surprisingly frequent coincidence. Perhaps I should get my fortune read or some such."

Raullaur Raullaur shrugs. "It seems you all have far more interesting lives than I do," he says with a grin. At least it probably is one. "Still, let's head somewhere else--a teahouse with rooms to let, if you don't want to go to one of our homes!"
Rishi "I am knowing of a few places in the city, but I am betting that Spring is knowing the better ones, so why do you not lead the way?"
Rishi looks faintly embarassed. "No, no, the ritual is not being 'the big deal' and it is being on the private side. Both Bright and Raul were wanting the same help, but it has taken me a little time to get everything all of the prepared. But it should be all of the ready now. So, we should just be figuring out when to do it."
Faolan Winter Star "I believe that a nice tea shop would be wonderful. Perhaps one of you would like to lead the way?"
Bright Journey Bright is still smiling, and she nods knowingly as well. "A teahouse with a private room sounds wonderful, thank you. I think we have a few things to talk about at the very least."

She turns to Rishi, who is talking about rituals, and blushes a bit. Cursed fair complexion!

"Oh! I'm sorry, I misinterpreted. I thought you meant Amethyst's project, the other half of what we're working on. I definitely shouldn't discuss -that- here. The rituals for Raullaur and me...that's different." She gets a fond, faraway smile. "I...I admit it makes me a bit nervous. But excited. Perhaps when we're done helping Amethyst with her project -and- protecting her family.

"But enough of that. Shall we discuss this over tea?"
