Black Pearl The chateau is, as always, a work of art. Somce places very opulent, and others austere--though all of high quality. Black Pearl's private quarters, beyond her office and even the suite for entertaining guests, is more the latter--simpler, but everything of comfort and high quality, even if not gaudily catching the eye.

Today, it seems the Iselsi is taking a day off, resting and relaxing, with swirls of colored scales highlighting her body as she relaxes in the humid, mist-filled room, the sounds of trickling water flowing.

Amethyst A day off is not something the younger water dragon often has, but today is one of those days. She's made her way to the Chateau and found herself going to Salara's private quarters in due time. A gentle knock at the door followed by the alchemist peaking in and grinning.

Amethyst looks a bit different than before. Her tattooes are shaped differently, most notably is the mon of Danaa'd that adorns her right hand now. But more than that are her thicker scales, her stronger and sturdier tail, and her pearlescent dragonfly wings. And it may be the impressive mutations, but as a whole she looks stronger and tougher than before.

Someone's clearly wanting to emulate the dragons in a more... direct fashion. "Good afternoon, room for another?"

Black Pearl "Of course, please join me," Salara says warmly. "I've missed seeing you since we came back. Everythingjust..very busy catching up on reports, and you your own work..." The eyes linger on the changes, but still there's a delighted smile as the other half of her heart is there.

"Any word from Elderloch about how things are going there?"

Amethyst Amethyst neatly closes the door behind her as she walks over and plops herself down next to Salara. "I think they're doing alright over there, last I heard anyway. Been pretty busy catching up on backorders. I truly need to find some staff to handle the store when I'm not around." She muses, leaning back and nuzzling into Salara's side.

"How about you? Did your house or your ehm, 'organization' miss you?"

Black Pearl Black Pearl chuckles slightly. "They did, but after spending some time with people to let them know I care...and to tell of a fae incursion that I personally helped to stop, well...they are pleased with me for now." She wraps her arm around Ametis and rests her cheek against her hair, hand lifting up to stroke the frilled ear.

"What is your goal from here? What is yoru dream?"

Amethyst "My... goal? My dream?" Amethyst asks, looking up with those big beautiful violet eyes of hers. "I'm... not really sure honestly. I want to keep pushing myself further and further, but I don't have too many goals I think I can accomplish. I'd like to help bring peace to the world but heh, good luck with that. Lookshy and the Order would have us both killed for being Anathema."

"What about you? Do you have any dreams?"

Black Pearl "What I told you before...peace, but there's a chance we can do it...at least better than if the Realm just gets to shambles. And if we fail, well...maybe we get out of the East and head South. Chiarascuro? Gem? Settle there and make peace locally..."
Black Pearl Black Pearl says, "But either way, I hope it's us. Not just me. We."
Amethyst "If it comes to it we could flee to Champoor. I know some folks back there that might be able to hide us." Amethyst says, "And I know the city like the back of my uh," And she glances at her new scales, "Hand. Or my old hand anyway." She chuckles.

"I just don't want to die young. I want to at least see my 30th year if not my 100th." The alchemist notes. "Rishi would never forgive me and I wouldn't be surprised if she tracked down where my soul reincarnates just to scold me."

Black Pearl "Fair enough, and I am sure we would have friends come with us," Salara says. as she starts to trace the scals over Amethyst's hand. "And speaking of Rishi...I need to talk with her, well...I hope to go with her to meet others of the Silver Pact and talk things over with /them/. And then see if my House prizes vengence over victory."
Amethyst "It'd be a good idea if I came with you. I have a reputation among the Silver Pact for being friendly towards lunars. Though we oughta make sure all the lunars we know are okay with this idea and support us before taking it to the ones we don't know." Amethyst notes, "Especially Fudou, he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders."

"That said, even I don't know very much about how the Lunars organize themselves. I do know that none of the Great Houses would be willing to stoop so low as to work with Anathema."

"What makes you think your House's elders would want to work with Lunars?"

Black Pearl "I don't know that they will," Salara answers. "What they want most of all is vengeance: to destroy the other Houses, even at the cost of our own. And so I want to ask, to beg and plead...to get them to go for victory, for the Throne itself instead. Even if the price is peace with the Anathema."

She nods, "Maybe they reject it, in which case Lunars may still want to asssit the House to destroy the others, rather than leave a winner on the throne. Maybe I work to gain support and control and influence in the House so that they have to listen...or I simply kill the matriarch and take over myself."

Amethyst "It's a pretty big gamble." The younger water dragon cautions, "If it goes wrong, we'll have a wyld hunt bearing down on us in no time, and we'll have to flee and hide. Honestly our best bet would be getting an audience with the matriarch... and have Bright do the negociations."

"I'd be willing to bet that she can turn anyone's heart. If anyone could convince an entire house to work with anathema, it'd be her."

"But thinkin' about it, I think I do have a dream I'd like to see through. See, back when I was younger, I was part of a band of thieves... And it's been entirely too long since I've tried my hand at a hiest." There's this bright smile on her face.

Black Pearl Black Pearl ohs? "Well, if you want, I can certainly come along and assist...I have a certain skill in them myself. Silk and I keep each other on our toes...just in case." She chuckles, "What are you thinking of stealing? Something recognizable and precoious? Something hidden that no-one would know is a trophy?"
Amethyst "Hmm, maybe you could teach me something. Sorta like how you taught me to be prim and proper." She says snuggling against Pearly. "Uck, that reminds me of Tepet Makara and how terrible his manners are. He's one I met not long ago who within the first five minutes of talking to me, announced that he was a Lunar and needed my help. Gods what is it with Lunars and a lack of social manners?" She sounds frustrated. "I swear I'm gonna charge him double."
Black Pearl Black Pearl sighs. "I met him, and apparently there's another Iselsi using him as a weapon. As for manners, well..I will have /words/ with him about being blunt, and I suppose he trusted you because others who already knew about him trusted you and mentioned you by name." She shakes her head, "We'll see what happens, of course. As for teaching...it would be quite amusing. Putting on a mask so that you become the role--whether someone with authorization to be there, a servant who is beneath notice, or literally invisible...and then leaving no trace---or traces that are false clues in and of themselves...there is a delightful art to this."
Amethyst "That reminds me that I need to talk to him and find out who sent him my way so that I can introduce myself to her. He only knew my address and that I was friendly to lunars." She shrugs, "I almost didn't tell him my name."

"I used to wear masks a lot. I would wrap myself in clothes that hide my features, don a mask and become like a little shadow. If you could show me how to augment those skills with the essence of the dragons, I'd be ecstatic. Doubly so if I could disguise myself as a civilized dragon who married into House Cynis by day, and became the Silver Dragon by night. Oooooh it's like some of the novels I read as a kid." Amethyst spins around and giggles.

Black Pearl Black Pearl grins, "Well...I suppose I could write a letter to my supposed Matriarch and request permission to wed. If we just present her with an accomplished feat, she would be...put out and possibly disinherit me."

She leans close and snuggles softly. "Do you want to elope? Here and now? Or throw a splendid bash and party?"

Amethyst "You know the Realm a lot better than I do. I am a lost daughter of House Peleps too, and I'm sure that will come to light sooner or later unless I find a new name for myself. And I like being Yim Ametis..." Amethyst says, rubbing her head a little bit. "It still amazes me that you aren't already married." One can almost feel how fast the young dragon's heart is beating.
Black Pearl "I am looking forward to it, if it's with you," she says. "Often, marriages end up being loveless with lovers taken to provide passion, and accepted on both sides, but..." She embraces and touches noses softly, and then essence starts to trickle through her. New, unfamiliar, the essence of the Wyld that was infused into her.

"Why should I settle for that when I have you?"

Amethyst Amethyst blushes, giggling, "I guess that's one of the advantages of not being part of the Dynasty, in a way, I get to choose my own future. And my lovers. Though I don't think anyone in the Dynasty would approve of the even half of the lovers I have."

"It's just a matter of doing things smartly. I think not only do we get to love the people we're actually in love with, but both of us gain something. I get to officially call myself part of the Dynasty and even if they don't accept or approve of me, that will get me into places. And for you? I think it'll look good to bring such a talented dragon into the Dynasty."

"Whatever they think of me they can't deny how much I've accomplished." She grins this self confident little grin.

Black Pearl "If--when--we do this, you'll move in, yes?" She grins, "And you'll get to introduce yourself as Cynis Yim Ametis to those not in the know." She grins back and shakes her hair out as her features sharpen, eyes becoming slitted. Inhuman. Buth with a rainbow aura to them as the sacles flow more over her body. "They'll expect us to have children. As Dynasts it is part of who we are..."
Amethyst "Yeah, they'll expect it. And I'm sure I can make it happen, with sorcerery or... otherwise." Her face is a lovely cherry color right about now. "But I swear if we don't involve Rishi she's gonna be soooo jealous." Amethyst nervously chuckles. "Though among the things she gifted me, Rishi did give me one more little mutation..."

Amethyst's features seem to become more firm, shifting and growing just a little, the softness of her chest giving way to wider shoulders and a broader build, and soon the girl is but a rather effeminate boy. "Though I haven't been brave enough to show anyone but Rishi so far..."

Black Pearl "We can include her some times, but...there will be times I just wish...one rather than many," Salara says, and then blushes as she looks over the boy now beside her, and lets taloned fingers stroke down his chest.

"I will want to try this some time, but if we do...are you ready to be a parent yet?"

Amethyst "...Maybe not." He admits, gently pushing her away just a little. "If we have kids we need plans to keep them safe, keep them away from us and the misadventures we'll get into. And I'm not sure how accurate the records are but I'm technically of age yet, I'm only 20..." He rubs his head just a little.
Black Pearl "If you trust me...I will ensure that we do not become parents until we are both ready. But if you do not want to explore...I will not force anything. But...I admit i do want to explore this you as much as I have the other you." Her eyes are soft, the rainbows in them swirling as she settles next to him, offering, but not forcing, the closeness of before.
Amethyst "I'm not ready to explore yet... but," He leans back into Pearl, "Being close with you is its own kinda nice." He chuckles.

"One day I'll be ready, maybe once I'm just a little more experienced with the world. Too much has happened in too short of a time for me to really get my head around it all. It's exciting and scary and it's everything I wanted out of life but, maybe I need to just take some time to figure myself out before I start, heh, exploring, yeah?"

Black Pearl Black Pearl slides her arm around his back and holds gently. "It certainly is. And I...can try to imagine what it is like, but I remember how unsettled I was when I first had these," she says as the deep purple scales flow in slowly moving patterns over her skin.

"I think...learning a new skill would also keep you off balance...perhaps returning to an old one to ground yourself, so that you understand how the Water flows differently in your new vessel, will help settle things?"

Amethyst "I lost the part of me that was good at hiding and sneaking, and now that I got it back, returning to those skills would definitely help bring my vessel back in alignment." He nods. "It'll be fun to teach me new tricks that I can do with my essence." He grins.
Black Pearl Black Pearl nods. "Very well. I will assist in teaching!" She grins, "And you'll see. It is...part of a whole, though. There is a...an imbalance if you simply wish to take things. You must also balance with existing within the world, and within society, blending in both environments to /truly/ be a master thief. And I will help with all."
Amethyst "Sounds like I have the perfect teacher." Amethyst grins, "When do we begin?"
