Fudou the Mountain The docks of Great Forks are no stranger to dives, taverns, hovels, gambling halls and other assorted places of debauchery and the sort of entertainment most mothers warn their chldren about. The Blunted Edge is one such place.
A fight club and gambling hall, the place has it's share of rough and tumble mercenaries, mixtures of sights and smells and mixed sounds of meaty fists pounding into bodies over the clamour of shouts, cheers and vulgar language. A bouncer with a neck as thick as an mans thigh keeps watch over the place though one can't help but wonder if it's just for show given some of the clients here. The sound of fists pounding into flesh permeates the air as two bruisers go at it thunderously in the caged ring in the middle of the dive. It's certainly no arena but it provides for its own brand of entertainment. One need not aspire to such lofty goals as the Arena when spoiling for a fight and the occasional martial artist or mercenary thug wanting to test their skills is not uncommon here.

One corner of the tavern is strangely empty though, devoid of much activity save for an enormous shape leaning back in the shadows as he watches over the rest of the room and studies the matches being wagered on with a sense of mild boredom. The exact scale and size of this individual is hard to determine though his rough facial features and scruffy appearence is occasionaly under lit by the flare of a smoke pipe dangling from his mouth.

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa Bakunawa leaves an inn he stayed for the night in and was surprised it's as pleasant like the ones in Nexus. Despite him being capable of affording luxuries, nostalgic memories flood his mind which made him remember his time in the West even though he dislikes Bluehaven for the questionable practices of his people. After looking at directions of the city, something caught his eye as he realizes the city has docks connecting to rivers leading to the Inland Sea, which is a path to the great Western ocean.

He has lot of time and his men are competent enough that they could manage themselves as he heads for the docks even if it's a hotbed for a criminal...for he is one himself albeit with mercenary work rather than being a pirate like his Bluehaven kin. While on the way, he buys some condiments and snacks originating from the West or Southwest being sold by port vendors and heads to a seemingly empty bar. Better than that rowdy bar in Champoor that left a bad taste in his mouth.

"Hmm whose that big guy?" He is baffled to see a man of that stature and mistakes him for the giants of Volivat but assumes he's a godblooded or something. He decides to take a seat nearby while ordering a bottle of gin

Tiziri Tiziri? Really seems the odd one out here. A tiny human girl with messy hair that has feathers in it and wearing a robed outfit that seems more akin to something seen in the southern desert nomadic sorts than here. Sure she's holding a spear and all, but that just makes it seem weirder. Shouldn't she by arm candy in a place like this? Yet at the same time, there's a certain confidence about her that goes just a bit further. When someone gets in her way she doesn't back down no matter who gets in her way. If nothing else there's a rather predatory grace to her movements too. So all in all, it makes the unskilled worry what they're missing, and the skilled see someone who isn't afraid even if they might not know why.

Tiziri ends up seeing Fudou now and making her way over towards the large man, every movement still relaxed the whole way. "Hello." She greets as she gets closer, her accent immediately recognizable as anything but local, instead something more like those from the South or Dreaming Sea.

Fudou the Mountain The Lintha's first guess may not be as out of the question as one might think..but Fudou the Mountain..that behemoth..is mercurial about his origins save for a few tidbits he's revealed from time to time.

Inside the ring a loud meaty *TWACK* occurs as one bruiser slams his fist full on into the other and sends the poor sod flying fully across the cage to land in a slumped heap. The force of the blow is audible and palpable. The crowds react with roars, cheers and jeers as the winner is proclaimed. Some nickname is called which is probably only slightly less embaressing sounding then being beaten into unconsciousness here.

Fudou's nostrils flare, snorting like an irrate dragon and sending a plume of smoke billowing forth. Maybe he bet on the wrong guy. He rolls his eyes as he takes a pull from a large metal keg, emptying it all out. His fingers twitch as he lowers it and the keg crumples like wet tissue, compressing into a tiny ball with an audible crunch. He delicately sets it onto the table and then slowly rises. More then ten feet of gargantuan movement which draws those immediately around him into hushed silence as he creaks upwards and up and up. Muscle and sinew piling onto one another to move him around and his vast shadow rolling across the observing Lintha like a nearby storm cloud.

Tiziri's greeting stays his movement, doing the impossible it seems with her voice alone by stopping the unstoppable force and the giant swivels his gaze to her..and his expression visibly lights up in recognition. "..'ello there luv. Long time no see, eh?" he rumbles.

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "Oh you're the one from the Yellow River besides the lionman. Thankfully Great Forks is a far more decent city than Nexus so far and the locals didn't seem me as strange. Hope the beastman is doing ok since I wish I could see his soldiers personally" He speaks in a Southwestern accent as he notices someone familiar entering the bar. Once his order of an entire bottle of gin has arrived, he takes a sip as if it was just a small glass. "Oh, you know each other?" The demonblood notices the girl is acquainted with the gargantuan man. "Name is Bakunawa, full name is a mouthful though even for me"

He introduces himself to the giant as he sits laid back while enjoying his drink and even the snacks he got along the way. "Wish there was a large river here that could be a quick path to the Dreaming Sea but that's wishful thinking. But I enjoyed my journey in the East"

Tiziri Tiziri is almost a polar opposite of Fudou. Tiny. Graceful. Anything but a behemoth really. All the same there's that predatory and almost birdlike grace to her. The girl plants her spear (with it's blade in a leather sheathe!) haft on the ground and leans upon it as she says with a weird smile. "Has it really? I didn't think it was so long. But now you have me wondering." She purses her lips.

Only then does the spearwoman with feathers in her hair look over towards the Lintha. "Salutations." She says. Then after a moment or two her fist holding her spear moves towards her open palm in the greetings common of warriors creation wide. "Tiziri, the Ardent Vagabond." She responds. "Nothing too important." Then after another brief pause she says, "If every journey were easy, then what would be the fun of a journey?"

Fudou the Mountain "Alright, alright. Good point, good point.." rumbles the colossal man, sitting back down into the groove his vast mass had formed into the seat and back wall he'd been occupying. "You're right o'course. Next time be a little more careful though, eh? My work out regime can get a little messy with debris.." The mammoth playfully flexes a huge arm, bulking a bicep up like a boulder rising beneath hs rugged flesh as he grins, "THough I suppose you're more then capable of taking care of yourself--eh?"

That last bit is reserved for Lintha whose unfamiliar voice surprises the giant man. As he talks, Fudou looks on with curiousity, attempting to decide if he's going to be irritated or not and ultimately he looks back to Tiziri, "A friend of yours?"

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "We only met once near Nexus's river after I was dealing with some guildsman's contract. Sadly I do not have body guards but I am capable of defending myself with my sword, fists or well teeth" He gives a slight grin, revealing rows of sharp siaka teeth that could tear the flesh of someone's body. "Wish I know the Devil Prince Sword Style created by my kind to better defend myself, but sadly I don't have teachers of it especially since I am a fugitive among fugitives in the West among my people"

Bakunawa shivers as he uncomfortably doesn't want to know what Bluehaven will do if they discover him but it would have died down by now and he and his men will be assumed dead thanks to fair folk hands.

Tiziri Tiziri merely shrugs at that comment about taking care of herself. The sort of shrug that just might make some of the tougher sorts even more cautious about the feather haired young woman who doesn't look like she belongs. "The falcon in flight does not stoop to a place of danger." She finally adds towards Fudou. Before nodding along to what was said by the Lintha.

"He and I shared a contract. Admittedly, his commital a bit larger than my simple presence on a ship. I hardly bring a force of arms along with me. Just myself." She states. All the says, Tiziri seems almost like she is humble in saying that.

Fudou the Mountain "Fascinating.." rumbles Fudou, expression and tone interested but also mildly sardonic as he hears Lintha. "Perhaps more information then I needed or even wanted t'heare but 'ello nevertheless. You can call me FUdou. SOme call me The Mountain but Fudou will do. Nice teeth."

HIs smile lessens and he looks over Lintha curiously, "You said something about a Beastman with soldiers? Same contract?"

A quick glance is also afforded Tiziri as he rubs his jaw thoughtfuly, "I didn't know you were in search of contract work though. Perhaps I should keep my ear to the ground."

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "Nice to meet you Fudou and thanks." He nods at the titanic man and even accepts the flattering comment regarding his incisors. He then turns his attention to the mention of a contract work. "What kind of contract work are you searching for? I see you are a mercenary like me but my operations are mostly in the Dreaming Sea" He aks Tizir out of curiousity while drinking the bottle of gin.
Tiziri "Merely moment of opportunity." Tiziri says. "Easy, curious. A nice river cruise ultimately. All I had to do was sit on the deck and watch the shore pass by." She states utterly nonchalantly. "At least ideally. I mean, if bandits or worse had attacked I would need to protect it too. Fortunately, that didn't happen. Easy money, some free meals, and a nice little back and forth trip to an outlaying area I'd yet to visit." She smiles.

She looks over towards the Lintha a moment, examining him with an almost predatory sort of eye. "Well, leaving the Dreaming Sea was a big part of it. I'm from there, why would I want to see more?" She grins. "Instead, to answer both of you. I don't seek anything especially. I only seek things that interest me. Chances to go to, and see, new places. To try new foods. See new things. Explore places not seen in ages. I take work just to further my curiousity." a pause, and a more wry grin, "Or fill my belly."

Fudou the Mountain "Dreaming Sea? Hmm... I was just there recently. Well..beneath it. Long story. Strange memories."

He shakes his head and then nods his head as he hears Tiziri, "I am much the same. If I take on any sort of contract work it's because I'm bored. O'course..that seems to be happening more often of late. Might be time to actually get started on a few things..." His deep voice trails off to a low rumble before his tone and mood perks back up again and he glances over at Lintha, "You are quite far from the Dreaming Sea though. Why not move operations over here? You have the rivers. Are you tied down to the Dreaming Sea? And again, who was this Beastman you spoke of?"

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "Oh, I didn't realize you are from the Dreaming Sea. If only the Wyld spat out my small fleet near the East's coast, it would have been easier for me" The Wyld's nature is far more unpredictable than the capricious gods of Yu Shan or even the convoluted mess that is the Demon City. "Sadly my men and their families already settled there and built a small village in a coast near Ysr. Wish I could find a way to have some operations here in the East but I will have to think about it"

"I also have a friend there I saved from a Wyld monster when the whirlpool spat us out in the Dreaming Sea, he's a Ysri godblooded prince who became my close friend even if some nations there distrusted us at first. For the Beastman, I recall his name is Raullaur and I wish I could see his men practicing battles"

Tiziri "Deeper south." Tiziri says. "Along a trade route. I can't say I'm too fond of the Ysr either. Or Prasad. Not really any of them." she ends up simply shrugging. "I'll just say I had my time near there and I am loving seeing more of the world than just there." She smiles. Then looks back to Fudou and nods. After that the young woman with the feathers in her hair just falls silent.
Fudou the Mountain "Raullaur!"

Fudou barks out a rough laugh and then rumbles, "Ah..Raullaur. So easily confused yet so full of determination! Ah yes..Raullaur. The Lion Man and his soldiers. Yes..yes..they are quite impressive. He cares alot for them. Keep your eye on him."

Fudou folds his massive hands and then rumbles, "I know something of the Dreaming Sea. It's been a long time since I've seen Volivat.. There are others who I know..who 'we' may know..who have some ties to that region."

His exchanges glances with Tiziri at that point but then returns his attention to the both of them in full, "At any rate you are here now. Certainly going back and forth to the Dreaming Sea repeatedly isn't going to be easy. Great Forks is..entertaining. Worth spending some time in. Though you were both in Nexus as well? Mmm..now that's quite the city as well...."

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "I only really stayed in the Dreaming Sea since I didn't have much of a choice. I am not really fond of the empires there myself even Ysr but my godblooded ally has been a great help introducing me to the area." But once Fudou comments about the lionman, he starts to admire the lionman's care for his men. "Ah so he's protective of his men too? Interesting, my corsairs in the Dreaming Sea are my family especially since we escaped Bluehaven even if I was on the opposing side at first"

"I should learn a spell that can help travelling for me easier, but staying in this city for a while isn't that bad and people don't even mind if I'm not godblooded since my heritage is something else entirely"

Tiziri "Yes. I know Raullaur too. He does care for his people, yeah." Tiziri says. Though that's when there's something a little more weird said, and the young woman ends up looking closely at Bakunawa. Her head is tilted to the side a bit as she regards him. "Learn a spell? That is pretty dangerous things to say. Especially when you mention Ysr too. Sorcerors are... not the most popular sorts anywhere."
Fudou the Mountain "He is rather transparent with everything about himself. You know you just met me." notes Fudou with a big amused grin, "Most would not spill quite so much about themselves to a total stranger, aet alone someone that looks like me. Mebbe...you're a touch overconfident mmm?"

Fudou gestures towards Tiziri and then continues, "SHe is right. Great Forks has its perks and it is friendly to those of straneg blood and supernatural abilities, true enough..but..that doesn't mean that danger doesn't lurk. Sorcery has friends and enemies here..as do demons."

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "well I know a dangerous spell other than that since I know how to summon a first circle demon and that's the only spell I know so far. When I was at Bluehaven, I was a speaker to demons for the city's cult before I betrayed them for the rebellion." He mentions his past dealings with the spawns of Malfeas for his parent is one himself. "Well hopefully you wouldn't mind this, but I will tell you this"

"I am from an infamous people in the West and Southwest known as the Lintha. Crime families of demonblooded descended from the Sea-That-Marches-Against-The-Flames. My mother was thinblooded but she prayed during Calibration and one of Kimbery's great souls responded to her wishes for a child. Even if I was born into that family, I always despised how we took slaves and mistreated those with weak blood. But don't worry, I serve a different god now but that's a story for another day"

Tiziri Tiziri gets wider eyes at that, and looks over towards Fudou with a strange look indeed, mouthing something towards him. Her hand raises up to squeeze the bridge of her nose before she takes a deep breath and looks back over towards the Lintha. "You're not doing yourself any favors." She says quite honestly. "Summoning demons is... pretty much one of the reasons people seem to hate sorcerors. It would probably be the last spell you should admit to." She takes a deep breath and finally adds, "You'll find you probably help yourself more by not being so open."
Fudou the Mountain "Remind me to not tell you anything I don't want anyone else to know. You're a hole in a ship, you know that?"

Fudou seems more amused then anything else. Not put off by the open ness of this strange Lintha but instead completely and utterly entertained.

"I hope you have something else of value to say suddenly. Might give me something to do later! A treasure buried somewhere? A special bounty worth more jade then I'd know what to do with?"

He leans forward, the table creaking under the weight of his massive arms as he gestures with his huge hand towards Bakunawa, "Our friend Tiziri is right. You talk to much for your own good. FOrtunantely for you our nature is fairly good though f it wasn't I'd warn you, those teeth of yours wouldn't do much good... But that's the danger in a place like Great Forks. You never know exactly who or what you're talking to. So you should hold your tongue abit more and not speak as if you were in your own living room. At least see if we can be trusted."

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa "I actually barely use that spell nowadays after I rebelled unless it's for emergencies. I could have summoned them as my bodyguards but my sword will do anyway. Sorcery isn't that bad besides summoning demons and elementals since it's like making sure you wield a blade properly that you don't accidentally cut yourself" Bakunawa is unusually far more open about his heritage or it's possible he doesn't care at all. "Well I don't mind if people know me as a demonblooded although that's probably just me due to being open about it back in Bluehaven"

"I could have pretended to be Siakal's godblooded son but it would have worsened instead since that western goddess of war is infamous for brutality even among other war deities." He gave a chuckle on mentioning the war god of his old direction since he ironically finds her more scarier than even Kimbery's demons. "but yeah I'll take that advice on not being open that much even if this place tolerates those with strange blood. Not surprised if others think my dad was a siakafolk or something"

Tiziri It's an incredulous look that Tiziri has as she looks over towards Fudou again. She seems almost unbelieving. "Is there any of that drink left? I think I could use some of that drink. The stronger the better." Then she looks back to Bakunawa, "Wyld hunts are as prone to seek out rogue sorcerors who traffic with demons as they are Anathema. Sometimes moreso, it's easier." Tiziri explains. "That holds true in Prasad as much as Lookshy or the Realm. Very little will make those three work together more than something like that. You're lucky you're here in this city, it protects you. It might not if you leave. The city still has ears."
Fudou the Mountain "Egh.." Fudou lets out a rumbling sigh and his jovial mood diminishes some as he relaxes a little into his seat. The table groan sfrom his movements as he leans his head into his hand once he props his elbow back onto the old wood holding the various drinks,

"She is right o'course." he confirms, "It does raise some questions. Why do you tell us these things? Surely you can't be so dense as to think that spilling this information is normal..eh? Maybe going with the 'Son of Siakal' story would have been better at this point. At least you'd have some means to leverage getting the attention of The Three for some sort of boons.. Assuming they didn't look into it too much.."

Fudou allows a slight grin to return to his face as he eyes Bakunawa, "..So..do you want something from us or something? Or just drunk to much and prone to talking too much? Perhaps you say as much as you do because you are in search of something..."

Lintha Sennong Bakunawa Bakunawa is secretly amused since hasn't even revealed the secret he treasures the most, which he will not tell for now unless it's the right time and moment but it's not this day. "I do not want something from you two, well besides familiaring with workings of Great Forks. It's probably just me hoping for some company since I am not that familiar with the East nor this city"
Tiziri Tiziri looks back to Bakunawa with that same head tilt, only this time it's to the other side. It really has a sort of avian type of look to it even then, especially the way her eyes don't seem to blink much. Another look over to Fudou follows as she reaches to grab one of the assembled drinks and tilts it back like an altogether experienced drinker.

"The best advice really is to remember this isn't your place of power, no matter how powerful you think you are. The City Sovereigns have reigned for hundreds of years and fended off foes that are almost certainly beyond you. And like I said, it has ears. Many ears, from around creation. You can never know who you speak with."

Fudou the Mountain "Common sense is applicable all across Creation." notes Fudou after a moment of silence after Tiziri speaks. But then he is forced to admit, "..I too thought Great Forks a great...source of freedom. To be myself, to not worry overly much about..subterfuge and hiding. Kind of hard for me to do that anyway, yeah?" he grins and slaps his massive hand against his chest, the impact causing his monstrous pectorals to visibly quake, "I'm all muscle but it's hard to just toss under a sheet if I don't want to be found!"

He relaxes a bit and notes, "It gets tiring so..I embraced being more visible and more...obvious. To a point at least!" he holds up a finger to add emphasis to that, "..ANd even in that I soon learned that..subterfuge has its merits and it's best to not reveal so much as you never know who might take advantage of that...to your own regret.."
