Tiziri Winter is starting to wane. Though the air has a heavy edge that promises at least one more storm to come. The sky grey and pregnant with promise even as it is otherwise mild, the wind not blowing and stray snowflakes drifting lazily down. On a day like this it is wonderful to be outside, at least if you're close enough to somewhere safe to not worry if it does storm. Tiziri? Seems unworried. the young woman is dressed today in heavier orange and blue robes but otherwise sitting on a big rock alongside the road as she looks out to the distance, a wistful smile on her face, one showing a love of the view. Her spear is leaned against the rock in easy reach of her hand. A jar of wine at hand to her other side.
Misa Call her unwise or perhaps just stubborn, but Misa is out on the road herself on this potentially-questionable day.

She walks at unhurried pace down the road, albeit not with quite the... leisurely feeling that surrounds Tiziri. Rather, she seems to have her mind elsewhere, even as her eyes and ears remain fixed on awareness of her surroundings. Her own robes are on the heavier side, but... they almost always are, truth be told.

She slows to a pause a fair distance from the other woman, looking over her seated position curiously for a moment. "A curious place to take one's ease... and drink," she comments, voice as soft as ever, pushed only enough to be heard through the heavy air of the precipitous sort of day.

Fudou the Mountain Not long ago..sunlight came to the lands outside of Great Forks..in the deep wastes and shadows of a nearby darkened land. Sunlight where there should not have been sunlight. Not from the sky but emerging from the surface of Creation itself. Not from the sun but form individuals touched by its power.

So something rather attention gathering, one might presume.

Fudou, the so called Mountain, had been intending on investigating the source of these events but personal matters and various distractions have kept him from doing so or connecting with those he suspects at the root of such an event, until now. Now he searches. A great bird of prey that glides overhead, eyes keen and sharp as they study the landscape below or look to the wastelands in the distance. Thus far nothing has peeked his attention or curiousity though there some distance left to go if he be willing to brave the shadowland itself.

That is, until Tiziri is espied, even from his present height. He circles once and then twice and then upon the third time begins a descent towards the road just beyond the rock and the lounging woman.

Tiziri "Is it?" Tiziri says as she opens her jar and takes a swig before holding it out towards Misa. "Or is it an excellent place." She's smiling widely now. "It's a beautiful place. A reasonably comfortable rock. A painter could capture a scene that may well be locked in eterinity. I'm hoping I can at least paint this picture in my mind, or even better paint it with words so the feelings can be captured too." The blue haired young woman sounds enthusiastic if nothing else! Otherwise, she still shows no sign of noticing the approaching bird of prey.
Misa While her eyes do flick up to the approaching bird for a moment- much like they do to most any creature or shift in the environment- she remains largely focused on the conversation. Her hand goes up, declining the drink for the moment.

"And yet not many other than I are on the move in this imminent sort of weather," she returns, head tilting just slightly. "But, all such aside, I do find it curious just how often I am coming across the not-so-average of late, though I suppose such fortune is not at your feet."

Fudou the Mountain Oops, someone is there with her. He really should have been paying more attention.

Either way, Fudou's committed now as versus abort his descent, he veers slightly off his initial target and ends up touching down off of the beaten path into the snowy fields that the road is winding its way through. Clearly the bird must have seen some sort of ..well..prey. That must be it.

There is a space of time and the gargantuan man is soon approaching, coming up the road with heavy solid footfalls and a lumbering looming gait that draws him towards the other two. It's a sloppy attempt at misdirect but it's a done deal now. He's dressed surprisingly light, given the temperature, seemingly unbothered or uncaring but at the very least a heavy long jacket, sleeves torn to expose his tree trunk dwarfing arms, is drapped over his body like a worn curtain. A wide brim hat is tilted down on his head as well and trousers adorn his legs making him positively modest for once.

"Greetings!" he booms, tone friendly despite the jarring scale of his size. "We meet again..."

Tiziri "Is it curious you do? Or that you notice it? I'd posit that you know people aren't so average so they stand out." Tiziri says as she takes another swig of her wine. "I mean, I probably pass the same people every day near my lodgings. Yet do I notice them? No. But those who stand out? Like the shopkeep who makes the really, really good kebabs? I notice him. Just as you notice the martial artist. The sorceress. The cute poet. Those are the ones who stand out for a reason. It's not that we weren't there before. It's that you have a reason."

Tiziri takes a deep breath of the cool air. Looking up towards the sky for a moment and then off towards the distance. "As for why I'm here? It really was too pretty a spot to ignore. I'm not too concerned if a storm hits. I'll manage." Then there's a large, very large, man approaching and she looks towards him. "Good afternoon." She greets, plugging the jar of wine and throwing it towards him suddenly.

Misa "I suspect you know I do not mean the normal sense of other-than-average," notes Misa- is that something resembling a smirk tugging the corner of her mouth? Scandalous.

She turns as the large man approaches- not intimidated by his sheer scale, at least, though she's not precisely a welcoming figure as Tiziri might be. "Hello. What brings a stranger here from off the side of the road?"

Fudou the Mountain The offered wine is snatched from the air by the giant who studies it thoughtfully and then lifts it slightly in acknowledgement of Tiziri's gift. He then turns to look at MIsa, flashing a full toothed grin her way while lifting a hand up to tilt his hat away from his eyes as he peers at her.

"Oh, you know, just wandering the fields..looking at the pretty snow and cute fuzzy animals. To help keep me calm, warm and friendly."

He removes his hat now and bows slightly to Misa before returning it to his head with a sweeping broad gesture of his titanic limb, "I am called Fudou. Some call me The Mountain but Fudou will do!" As he straightens up slightly he points at Tiziri, "I know her and thought to come say hello and ask about some local gossip."

Tiziri Tiziri shrugs where she's sitting on the rock. A pretty big shrug at that. Her tone seems to carry the weight of that gesture as well. "Did I?" She inquires with a raised eyebrow. "Indeed, does it really matter? Or are you suddenly wondering? There are at least a few I've learned I met more than once in the same way. Fate is strange like that."

Tiziri smiles towards Fudou and nods in aknowledgement of being recognized. "There's a bunch of hairy cows a few miles that way." She points towards the north. "They're about the fuzziest things I've seen so far around here."

Misa "I am learning I care little for fate," Misa murmurs, perhaps not even audible to either of the other parties.

She refocuses on the matter at hand, looking the man up and down for a moment. "And what rumours might those be? I must say, you would be a curious choice for a student of my styles, if talk of a small dojo near the river has finally begun to circulate," she suggests, perhaps just a little wry in the comment.

She finally shifts her stance to settle in place for a time and a proper conversation, hands remaining tucked within her robe in one fashion or another for the time being, well away from the pair of short swords at her hip.

Fudou the Mountain The colossus maintains his grin, eyebrows raising up slightly as he hears Tiziri's response and he then inclines his head slighlty to consider Misa's words as well. Finally, Fudou rumbles cheerfully:

"WAlas, luv, was not for rumor of your dojo that I wander..but you've got my attention! What style do you speak of? I happen to have a knack for hitting things!"

He gestures loosely to indicate the area and then continues, "No, it is not for interesting looking cows that I am out here either. No no..but..I am curious. I heard rumor that the sun itself touched down upon the earth not long ago and filled the horizon with its light. A children's tale, maybe, but with such a wonderous event happening so close to Great Forks why..I couldn't help but be intrigued!"

Tiziri "TThere's... some of us inclided to battle against whatever fate decrees." Tiziri says with an impish sort of look. Did she hear? Or was it just a reasonable comment based on everything else as she continues. "I could say the same of you ending up out here. It's a bit far from your school i'd think."

The young woman smiles softly towards Fudou. "I admit I've some suspicions what it might be too, after being here even the short time I've been." That said, she seems to leave it at that, merely holding that strange look on her face.

Misa "From what I have heard..." notes Misa, frowning slightly as she considers the commentary. "Such things came from the shadowlands near the city proper- the lands of the Black Heron, I believe she is called. It seems unsurprising, in truth, that such matters might arise in the lands from whence hateful dead once struck at Great Forks. Though perhaps you speak of some other incident?"

A moment, and then; "And, on the other topic... I practice a pair of styles, and sometimes both. I am not the most names-minded of my contemporaries, but they are generally referred to as Steel Devil, and Single Point Shining into the Void."

Fudou the Mountain "Hm.."

Fudou considers both women and then finally uncorks the previously offered jug of wine with a flick of a massive thumb. He takes a long pull of it, possibly finishing it off depending on how much was left and the fact that..he can chug a signifigant amount in one go.

He takes a second or two to ponder its taste and then smiles once again and looks at the two. "Perhaps we speak of the same event yes. If the source of such light is who I think it is..perhaps we may have some common interests...or perhaps not. Either way, such events can frighten some and excite others. It's good to be aware of what goes on around you."

There's a pause and the giant then adds, "Single Point and Steel Devil? I've heard of this but I'm afraid I'm abit uncouth and backwater to know much about them. Perhaps you may demonstrate?"

He pauses and then adds hastily, "..Not on me though."

Tiziri "I don't mind working with someone to help deal with the... unfortunate side of what caused that." Tiziri says, looking more towards Fudou than Misa. Though there is a touch that implies she's not hiding things either. "I think you both know I'm capable of such." She smiles more impish then. She looks down towards Misa and covers her mouth giggling a bit. "You're as modest as I was."
Misa "Modest in what statement of ability?" questions Misa quizzically, brow rising a little. That said, it's more the expression one gets through the contextual motions of her face, one cannot much see her brows under her bangs.

"I suppose my investigative efforts do trend towards the more... occult and bizarre, it is true. Makes Great Forks a fine place to earn my keep when the dojo avails me little, but may also become relevant for the shadowland," she adds to the other conversation. "And one can only imagine the sorcerous among us would be useful to have nearby," she adds, eyes flicking to Tiziri.

"And I am not much of a show-woman. But I might attempt, at some juncture."

Fudou the Mountain "Well now I can't very well decide if I can be a good student or not if I don't know what it even looks like but have it your way." teases Fudou, grin large and full once more.

He tosses the empty jug up and lets it land onto an upraised finger, spinning it around rapidly there as if it were a child's ball, balanced onto a single digit as it whirls about before he flicks it upwards again and then pops it back towards Tiziri.

"I'm probably much too inflexible anyway." he rumbles, still smiling, but the mischief in his eyes clearly implying that he thinks quite the opposite.

"As to investigation..it may yet come to that but..I hava feeling I can guess at the ultimate source of matters and it may not be quite much of a mystery at all as to the 'who' to me.. I simply want to know 'why' and if there is something to yet be concerned about in the future..."

Tiziri Tiziri catches the jug and then easily places it down beside herself. "I love investigating the Occult. I mean, I love going to anything interesting, but the occult tends to make it all the moreso, after all, that leads to some extra weirdness." She's practically grinning now. "And yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm never going to be a burden for any expedition who wants to take me on. Worst case, I'm another spear to deal with things."
Misa A pause from Misa, and she looks over the pair again for a moment, curiously. "Not so much inflexible- I simply think a man of your apparent physicality might be better served by other styles that are not among my repertoire. But again, perhaps in due time you might see what the intent of these is," she explains. Really neither patronizing or assuaging, simply stating an opinion.

"I do happen to have it on some authority that there is more than a single one of the more golden 'anathema' in the region. You speak as if you might be familiar with who such people might be, sir. I also do not believe I returned the favour of names- mine is Hanase Misa."

Fudou the Mountain "Oh! Well.." Fudou looks away from Misa to exchange a glance with Tiziri and then back towards Misa again, "Well I suppose there's no danciun' around the issue with you no. Perhaps there never was. Yes. You are correct. I do know them. I know them rather well actually. I've taken it upon myself to keep watch on them although they've slipped from me from time to time and other times I've helped them and their own as I needed to."

He smiles, eyes hooded slightly now as he thinks, "BUt I think they were too far away when they had that little glow show..and so I was not able to look in on them. However..I wanted to find out on my own what happened versus getting it straight from the, ah, horses mouth..as the saying goes."

Tiziri Tiziri takes a deep breath and holds it for a slight moment, before suddenly she says. "OK, you both know what I am." She says, looking between them both. "So yes, I think it's quick to cut to the chase here." She says more sincerely. "You both I both know what I've trusted you with." She adds. And then suddenly she seems to concentrate for a moment as that hollow silver circle appears on her forehead. "So yes. I'll just say I don't know what happened but I have a very good idea what did. I think you're both safe, as it were. So what shall we do about this?"
Misa "... Do about it? I did not mean to imply I have any such intention. Shadowlands are long part of creation, and curious happenings in them are hardly new. I merely meant to note that I know several people who may be invested in the matter one way or another. Such people might ask for my assistance- which is certainly purchaseable, in the mystery-reduction sense," Misa explains, head shaking slightly.

She narrows her eyes just slightly as Tiziri goes so obvious with her nature, and she looks over at Fudou again. "Am I now to understand this man is the blooded of some fae gargant or such, given his size and familiarity with your own self?" she asks of the other woman.

Fudou the Mountain "Those are good cover stories luv but no." answers Fudou though the question was posed to Tiziri. Upon his brow, the sign of the full moon gently drifts into the visible spectrum and Fudou reaches up and taps his forhead.

"And yes I know of the ones you speak. If it was indeed that bunch, they'll tell me all I wish to know.."

He considers the rest of Misa's words and then says rather simply, "That happenings in Shadowlands are not new make them no less curious as you noted..and as such no less potentially dangerous and so I thought it prudent to find out more. Which I now have! So for additional details I'll have to ask them."

He considers the matter and then adds, "I am sure they are fine so I will not worry on that front."

Tiziri And as Fudou reveals Tiziri smiles towards Misa, a weirdly knowing sort of one. "And there we have it." She says. A deep breath taken after that. "I wouldn't mind spring coming soon. It's so much easier to dress for nice weather. Instead of weird weather that doesn't want to do anything you want." She rues, stretching her hands out over her head. "But yes. As I said. WE're both very, very capable of helping deal with things that might've caused the sun to rise in the night, or a second sun, whatever you want to say." She looks more pointedly towards Misa then. "And again I apologize for cheating a touch when we were sparring. I still feel a bit bad, I really did forget about my armor."
Misa "I suspect the danger will either pass or increase with recent events- my interest may come when that is determined," says Misa in turn, shrugging just a little. "And well- yes indeed, if they would be so interested in such things, we may well mean the same people," she adds, with another hint of a smirk.

"Worry not, I understand. It would be a fool that did not opt for at least some protection when travelling unknown roads. Even known ones, often." To elucidate the point, one of her hands finally withdraws from her robe, tugging the neck of it aside- a well-maintained shirt of finely linked chain rings hides underneath, well padded enough to make minimal noise at the very most.

Fudou the Mountain "Hmm..a spar you say? So that pointy stick isn't just for deorations after all!" Fudou grins at Tiziri and then adds, "At any rate..this mystery seems solved though it leads to other questions that I would ask of them. Careless..they are not. So what, I wonder, would drive them to a display that can be seen from afar off..? I suppose it could be anything, as already implied."

He sets his hat onto his skull more firmly now as if intending to brepare to take his leave "..Should I hear of any other good gossip..I suppose it's only right for me to share it."

Tiziri Tiziri giggles a little bit at what Fudou says to her. "No, it isn't." She says, covering her mouth as she does so. "In fact, I am quite good with it. It's just something I prefer to keep a little more secret because one never knows who might be watching. I've had to deal with enough Wyld Hunts in my short life that I'd rather not attract the attention of more." She punctuates it with a more somber expression. " Frankly, I hate having to kill so many people who are fighting for the wrong cause. It's a waste of life." This is quite gravely said.
Misa "I will confirm that those in Creation that might defeat her are... few," Misa notes, nodding her agreement with Tiziri's self-assessment. "As for what might drive one... I would guess some form of battle, generally, from what I know of how the Chosen engage in combat. Which, if you are so confident those friends are fine, likely means there is far less danger left in that shadowland, now."
Fudou the Mountain "Hmm."

It's a simple rumble. One that implies he has some lingering doubts.. but the logic is sound as well and he ends up simply nodding his head.

"That danger, yes." he notes. "Enough of one to cause that. Defeated. But surely not the last. So I would still like to know more." Fudou flickers his gaze towards Tiziri, "Wyld Hunt, hmm? We haven't had that problem here in Great Forks but..that doesn't mean they can't be inspired to try. In the meantime..I will ahve to see for myself how good you are with this spear and these martial arts with the fancy and intimidating names! But some other time. For now..I take my leave."

Fudou bows again, eyes hooded and shadowed and grin big and full toothed as he backs away. "Ladies.." he rumbles before straightening up and then turning to begin walking up the road once again.. still heading in the direction of the distant wastes.

Tiziri "It's why I like Great Forks." Tiziri says. "Even if it is a bit of a risk out here. I know there's a legion about." She pauses a beat then. "Yet I also know this particular element of one isn't entirely a threat either." She bites her lip, pursing and looking thoughtful. Though she looks to Misa then and says, "I'll also concede that Martial Arts aren't entirely my focus. I consider myself more than a passable Sorceress. My Shahan-ya agrees." She laughs, "And I'm pretty sure she would know given I'm not sure there's anyone living yet that truly matches her in that forte. Though one of those Sunlit flashes might be the exception."

Then she smiles over towards Fudou. "Was nice seeing you again. Stay safe, not that I imagine many will attempt to make you less so." She laughs a bit. "Still, yes, another time. We'll have to speak a bit more about things."

Misa "I suspect as a chosen and apparent target of wyld hunts, it naturally becomes more focus than you intended," Misa returns, head shaking at Tiziri's protests.

"But, well. Fare you well, Fudou the Mountain. I may just be curious should we meet again, what it is you found out."

Tiziri Tiziri nods to Misa with a sad look. "Yeah. Sadly, I'm pretty good at dealing with them. My martial art style is... particularly good at such, and I happen to know a spell or two which makes it even easier." She shivers a bit, looking almost a bit haunted. "More than enough times now. I just, don't want to." She shakes her head. "They're just, well, doing what they believe is right. Even though I know they're wrong. Yet that's not their fault. Even the chosen of the dragons. They're a lot rougher. Yet rarer. Mahalanka was safer too, and now here. Yet eventually it will happen. I know I'll have to again."
Misa "... I might suggest putting such notions as guilt aside when that time does come," Misa notes, with perhaps not as much empathy in her voice as one might hope for. Which is to say, not very much at all. "Hesitation does often mean death, as thoughts are slower than a blade's edge and not half so sharp."

"There will always be the next life, for whomever it is," she notes as she looks back down the road, considering. "But with that I should continue on my way- the day will only be so long."

Tiziri "Oh. I know." Tiziri says. "I save the guilt for after." She gets a more serious expression. "When the dance begins? It's me or them." She coldly states. "And I don't want it to be me." She stretches her hands out over her head. "So yeah, there's that. They're misguided, and that might lead to their end, but that's how it goes. I always warn them, and I don't chase those who flee. Though I admit that might be more merciful than what the Realm might do to them."
Misa "The realm and its offshoots are often more pragmatic than one assumes," says Misa, as if she knows something about this all too well. She shakes her head then, and exhales. "But as noted, I must continue on. Enjoy your sightseeing, and what I presume will be your flight or fur-clad escape should the storm come to pass," she adds, before beginning to walk off, opposite to where Fudou just left.
Tiziri Tiziri just smiles enigmatically at that. "We'll see. There's something to be said about battling the storm too. Whatever the case, I'm not too concerned about it." She grins, giggling a little bit. "It was wonderful seeing you again. As for Fudou? He can be trusted, so if you see him again don't be afraid to reveal yourself too. I get the impression he's at least as formiddable as he looks, and Luna knows we can use all the allies we can find."
