Grave Saint As Great Forks is a city of divinities with varying power, so too it is a city of faith for many cults and religions preach their teachings among the masses. One such cult is far more recent and young, a strange convent of mortals mostly of the poor of Great Forks revering the Immaculate Dragon Sextis Jylis not just as a god of life....but of death. Even if this district is far more suited for being used by mercenaries, it seems their high priestess and founder decided to preach here for even a sellsword can listen to what they have to say.

"The dragon of life and death angers at those that deny their ancestors proper reverence. Like ungrateful fools who take bounties from orchard trees, yet do not nourish their trees despite them providing your needs. The dragon of life and death will curse the fools for their fruits shall rot and poison them for their insolence" A long haired woman dressed in a black yukata with red floral designs gives a sermon to those nearby but is only attended by a few devotees. "Such consequences can be prevented if you tend to their graves"

Raullaur The sermon gets the attention of many, including some passing lionmen, who linger a moment, before leaving. A few minutes later, a larger lion dressed in linens comes and listens to more of the sermon, eventually narrowing his eyes with concern. And so, when there is pause, he makes his way forwards in the crowd, before speaking in a rich, melodious, purring bass. "Our ancestors--we--lived far from here, until driven from our homes. Years it would take to return to our lands to hunt again. What can we do, here, now, for this?"
Grave Saint The woman was surprised about the inquiry and turns her attention to those who asked. "I see you are from far away lands. Even with such great distance, you can still pray to your ancestors with whatever means you have." She gives a solemn nod to the large lionman. "I am from the furthest reaches of the East and have travelled here to spread my faith"

The woman gives the lionman another curious glance. "I see your men are mercenaries here? Originally I was planning to preach in one of the plazas, but someone was already using it"

Raullaur "We are a tribe from the savannahs closer to the Dreaming Sea, and came we here after many were captured, and I led the rest to reclaim them. By that time, we kept coming north to here. But yes, we fight, and you will not find better! We are the Lions' Pride!" The last said strongly, proclaimed as a boast.

"As for prayers, we give them, if not as often as we should." His muzzle quirks in what might be a grin.

Grave Saint "Near the Dreaming Sea? I heard of it before in my studies and it's a melting pot of warring empires. Those lands are interesting but sadly I do not have time for such travels" She sighs but then gives recommendations to the lionman. "I see you rarely do it, better than nothing I suppose. My recommendations are usually once a month or week especially on Calibration"

The priestess then introduces herself. "I am Bleeding Higanbana, chosen of the wood dragon and the founder of this small yet humble faith"

Raullaur "Raullaur. Sometimes called the Golden Lion. Currently we follow war, seeking gold or lands for our own." His ears flick slightly. "But I should make a shrine to our oldest ancestor, who founded us all." A decisive nod. "Of the dragons, I hear little. They seem so big and vast, not paying attention to any of us." He shrugs, "What does this Sextis Jylis do? And why?" Polite questions, though straightforward.
Grave Saint "Sextis Jylis is the dragon of wood and the East. They are the providers of a rich harvests of crops, cultivate herbs used by sages and doctors, and they who restore the land after a terrible great disaster or war. Unlike the preachings of most Immaculates though, we recognize his far more terrible side as a god of death. After all, a beautiful flower can carry the deadliest of toxins used by assassins and a rotten apple the result of it's tree not taken care of can kill with a single bite" She says calmly despite the latter part being a bit too morbid.

"This is why my faith preaches that we need to tend to our ancestors...unless the wrath of the dragon of wood shall punish Creation for their ignorance of the dead."

Raullaur Raullaur nods. "Makes sense. Ancestors' wisdom and strength to guide us. Your Immaculates say to do all five dragons, though...can get a bit much for simple folk..." He grins slightly, to take the sting out. "But yes, we all learn you never want a healer mad at you, for who knows better how you are put together, and so can take you apart? I suppose it is the same with the Dragon of Wood."
Grave Saint "I admit I am not close to other Immaculates since they dislike those who stray from their ideas. But you are right about not angering your healer, for a wise alchemist crafting cures for diseases can make an even terrible plague or a carpenter that builds wooden houses can create devious traps that kill" She gives a cold grin. "good luck on building your ancestor shrines, it will make them proud even if they are beyond this realm of existence. Speaking of shrines, my convent's shrine is in the rural outskirts of this city. In a graveyard filled with red spider lilies in case if you visit"
Raullaur Raullaur snorts. "If thatis all you fear, you will find yourself in good company here. I have heard of others who love the dragons but the the Immaculates. For us? We have never been touched by them, and instead do what we can to honor our ancestors, our prey, and our foes." He flicks his tail. "I don't know if any will visit, but maybe. Thank you for bringing our attention back to rituals we have forgotten in our upheaval."
Grave Saint "despite it being in a graveyard, it can be lively since my devotees usually give out artwork, perform songs and dances in the name of Sextis Jylis. I myself can play a pipa even if I'm new to using the instrument. We also have a holiday in Calibration known as the "Shining Path To The Final Harvest" which is celebrates a prophecy that promises a nightly paradise where no one suffers anymore" Despite her joyful tone, there is something odd when she mentions the "Final Harvests" of hers.

"There is no fee for attending, so you can freely visit us at anytime!"
