Nine Roads Alani The unnamed ruins, lost to the Wyld, crumbling. Full of thrills, danger, and perhaps even treasure? Silk Moon Lotus and Nine Roads Alani have entered as strangers, but the necessities of lethal combat have stripped away their disguises for the time being, and begun an entirely different conversation than the last.

As they enter, Alani shakes her head and smiles, her long blonde ponytail swaying in the breeze above the hood of her cloak. She holds the door open, letting Silk through before toeing it closed behind them.

"No, Silk. I'm not going to report you to anyone. Frankly, I need allies, not enemies, and I'd say we both have something to lose, hm? Either one of us lets things slip, I have no doubt the other will not be too far behind."

She takes a long look around the room, curious. "Where do you suppose we go from here?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk walks over to the table and sits down on one of the chairs clearly thinking through the ramifications of finding a Sidereal. Her black silk armor settling around her to resemble the kimono she normally has it look like. She looks into Alani's eyes "I believe you are correct. It does not benefit either of us to share this secret." She smiles warmly for Alani. "I know how to keep secrets. You have nothing to worry about on that account."
She looks around the room and stares at the closed door. "I wonder what's on the other side. I'm also curious who lived here. Three's three more buildings. This place feels like a small outpost of the Shogunate. Did they ward it form the Wyld as the contagion started and it preserved everything that wasn't alive? I'm curious to see the armory."
Nine Roads Alani Alani offers a bit of a smile in return and nods in agreement with Silk. "I had no doubt you could. Wyld Hunt and all that. But I'm glad to hear you will. We have plenty of hunting to do ourselves today, after all." She gets a wicked little grin, and then turns to look at the aforementioned door.

"One more door here...and three more buildings. I'll confess, I was not around during the Shogunate, so aside from guesses based on architecture, I can't be certain. I'm sure you've guessed that I'm a lot more well read than the average courier, but I'm still not quite a history expert." She shrugs helplessly before approaching the door. "Well. The Wyld is something I know a bit more about. I think maybe they took their things and ran like anyone would, and the ward failed after. Or maybe...hmm." She pauses, thinking, then shakes her head as if to clear the cobwebs.

"Eh. Never mind. We have a door. I'll give it a try."

And with that, she slips the lockpicks from her hair again and goes to work.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head in agreement. Silk walks over beside Alani and watches her make quick work of the lock on the door. "I'll give it a go." Silk pushes the door open.
The room insite is the same size and the office on the other side. Unlike the other room this one contains barren shelves on the right hand wall. The window to the left is still shuttered closed. The room smells of sweat and blood. A pile of discarded clothes sits in the far corner of the room. An empty tub and washing board sits next to the clothing pile.
Nine Roads Alani As Silk walks in, Alani frowns deeply, taking one hesitant sniff before coughing once, violently.

"Ugh," she mutters. "What the hell happened in here? Someone put some work into sealing this off, looks like."

She looks down at the pile of clothes, concern on her face. "Something might be under that, be careful..."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head and starts to gently shift the pile of clothing. As each piece of clothing is removed, it is clear the clothing has been through a battle recently. Most of them has holes or rends through them. Several are nothing more than scraps of cloth at this point. The blood is red on most of it. Some of the stains are green or purple. Silk reachs the bottom of the pile to find a dead man in a green jade lamellar armor and oddly styled of uniform. "I think this is a uniform from the Second Legion. They were stationed acrosss the East to defend from Fae incursions. See the yellow chevrons on the sleeves, this would be like a winglord in the Realm." Silk ues her staff to roll the body reveiling several large slashing wounds in the man's back. He looks as if he died within the last hour or two.
Nine Roads Alani Alani slowly kneels and studies the clothing, and eventually the body, alongside Silk. Her expression turns from concern to flat out grim during the search, but she slowly nods as Silk makes her determinations.

"I think you might be right. I know I've seen something like this uniform before, definitely, and while I'm not -sure- it's Shogunate era, it would at least fit. Still, though, we have a big, big problem."

She slowly stands up and looks around, at both this room and the last room they were in. "You see it too, right? Not just too pristine, of course, but I don't need to be a chirurgeon to tell that man is mere -hours- dead. If that. I think you're right about Wyld influence, but I wonder if things aren't being preserved, or...or even -slowed down-, if that makes any sense. If the man was part of a Wing sent to fight the Wyld. I'd bet a talent of jade, though, that those slashes match up with one of the creatures in these ruins."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head in agreement. "I think you are correct that the eagle-bear did this to him. This would tell me that there are probably more wyld warped people out there. Do you think we should continue onward or get out of here?"
Silk picks up the body of the dead Winglord "At least we can carry his body outside and give him a proper burial. Don't need any hungry ghosts showing up." She is heading for the door out of the building.
Nine Roads Alani Alani chuckles darkly in reply. "Hungry, Wyld-warped ghosts at that. But...yeah. Come to think of it, the chance that the chimerae are...or were...the villagers, or even the other soldiers, is too great to ignore. Here, I'll get the legs. Let's go."

With that, the pair of them backtrack through the house, towards where they'd entered the ruins. Alani says, "Hrm. Down side is I don't have real protection against Wyld influence. Up side is I don't feel in immediate danger, and being warped by the Wyld is something I would -absolutely- feel before it happened. It's a calculated risk..." She pauses, thinking. "...Yeah. I love this too much. I can hopefully duck the nonsense before I grow a kidney off the end of my nose."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk and Alani make there way out of the building into the rainbow mists. They do not see any more of the chimerical beasts nearby and quickly make it back across the border with the Winglord's body.
After crossing the boundy, the body of the winglord quickly starts to disintigrate within their hands. within thirty seconds, everything except bone has broken down and vanished. Silk drops her end of the body as he starts to break down.
Nine Roads Alani Alani quickly follows suit, dropping the man's legs almost the moment they begin to disintegrate. She just nods firmly. "I sort of expected something like that would happen. Some kind of...effect over time, perhaps, or entropy. Definitely dangerous. I haven't quite gotten the knack for how to resist the Wyld...yet...but I was told what to do. Maybe I'll figure it out today, if it's at all necessary." She chuckles. "Yeah, yeah, I know it's a bit risky, but outside actual immunity I have every advantage I could ask for. I say we go back in, at least for a short while, and see if we can't come back with something valuable. The books, if nothing else, would be very nice to keep. We can use my chariot to lug them if we have no better options, though risking my horses is...less acceptable to me than risking myself."
Silk Moon Lotus "I don't think we need to bring the horses into the area. I would be deeply concerned for them should the wyld effect them somehow. I know Stormwind Rider. I think I can carry somewhere between eight hundred and one thousand pounds of cargo. If there are books in there we cannot carry, we can gather them into a place and I'll summon the whirlwind and we can ride it out of the area.
Silk pulls a shovel from her backpack and starts to dig a hole for the bones. "I guess we don't have to worry about the smell."
Nine Roads Alani Alani simply nods in reply. "A sorcerer, too? You're full of surprises, Silk." She grins, but then turns quiet as she sets to the unenviable task of setting the bones by the eventual pit.

It takes some time, but eventually the two young (?) women finish burying the poor soldier. Eventually, however, the task is done and Alani stands, wiping a light sheen of sweat off her brow.

"All right. I do happen to know about Stormwind Rider, and it sounds like that'd do the trick, actually. If we want to ride back that way instead of the chariot, too, we can. You won't need to carry the poor thing." She smirks a bit.

"Anyway, we can camp outside the area and take another stab at it tomorrow, or we can forge on. Up to you. I can go either way."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk pours a little water over her head to remove the worst of the dirt and sweat. "I'm ready to go back in if you are. I don't need a break unless you think waiting until morning is safer. If there are predators in there, they probably come out at night and will leave us alone if we have a fire."
Nine Roads Alani "Well, we still have some time before dark anyway. If you're good to continue, I'll happily join you. I am going to make one small change, though, that might help..."

Her voice trails off as she heads over to her chariot, and without a word of explanation, rests her hands on one of the wheels. In a whirl of glittering starry night swirls, the entire chariot--horses and all--contract into just the single wheel. She flips the wheel easily over one shoulder--far, far lighter than it should have been, apparently--and walks back to Silk. "I don't have a staff -or- a sword, but I'm not -completely- helpless. Shall we?"

And with that, she turns to head back into the ruins, while there's still daylight left.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head in agreement and starts heading back into the Wyld region. The approach to the second building is more difficult with all of the debris scattered around it. The door appears to have cracks running through it. The building itself appears a bit more run down than the first one. This building does not appear to have resisted the effects of time as well as the first. This building is much larger that the first one. There are no windows or shutters on it.
Silk is clearly searching for any signs of danger but clearly missing the pair of compound eyes watching them approach.
Nine Roads Alani "I don't know what it is," murmurs Alani, "but we are in danger. No more than a few minutes now. Could be the Wyld, could be an ambush." She is following Silk to the second house, but her yellow eyes are fully alert, scanning her surroundings like a hawk.

"Hrm," she says quietly. "This one is more run down. Maybe the effect comes and goes. But now's not the time for that." She frowns, peering everywhere, looking for whatever danger is on its way.

Silk Moon Lotus Alani looks around the area and spots a very large creature perched on top of the building. It has two sets of compound eyes and long pincers next to it's mouth. The body looks to be insectoid in nature. There are threads of some wire or perhaps silk strung throughout the clearing.
Silk stops midstride and looks at Alani "Are you sure? I didn't see anything. I would be the fool to get ambushed when I'm the master ambusher." Silk tugs her fighting gloves and wills the blades back into existance. "Any idea what this one is?"
Silk looks at the building "Maybe the cracks broke the magic protecting it? Also possible that the Wyld fixed the other building for a time. I'd be willing to bet this is the barracks and armory."
Nine Roads Alani With a sudden, sharp intake of breath, Alani looks around...and then -up-, towards the top of the building. Her breath is low as she hisses through her teeth, "Above us. Anuhle. Demon spider...it's full of webbing ahead there. Stay out of the clearing."

And with that, Alani slowly lets out the tension, carefully regulating her breathing as she hoists the wheel over one shoulder. The other arm is out, held high, legs wound for a skywards spring.

Alani, at least, is ready to teach their ambusher the meaning of death from above.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head in understanding. "I hate these things." She coils like a spring and launchs herself into the air on a powerful gust of wind sailing over the demon spider's well placed traps. As she reachs the peak of her flight, she angles herself to come down hard on one of the spiders."
Silk Moon Lotus Silk sails down at the first of the Anuhle slamming into it with her Razor claws. The creature flys backwards into it's ally and staggers for a few precious moments as it attempts to recover. Silk has once again become a shadow on the rooftop with her claws glinting in the shadowed light briefly.
Silk Moon Lotus the second spider scurries forward and attempts to bite Silk with it's poisonous fangs. Silk easily parry's the bite with her claws and she rolls to the side clearing the way for Alani.
Nine Roads Alani With a graceful spring high into the air, Alani arcs high like an acrobat, arms wide, wheel out in one hand like a big wooden wing. As she backflips at the apogee of her jump, she descends and slams the wheel into the second creature's back with a thud of force. Pity, though, that she hadn't started from higher up--that swing would have hit it right in the face. Maybe next time.
Silk Moon Lotus the second Anuhle thinking Silk is distracted by it's companion attempts to bite her, Silk moves with the grace of a dancer away from the mandibles and appears to be lining up her own counterattack.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk moves into position to strike the creature in the thorax. The blades vanish from her gloves as her fist bursts into golden flames. She punchs through the creatures thorax and lifts it off the ground. It flies up several feet before crashing back to the ground. Golden flames consume the creature and Silk vanishes in the shadows the flames create
Silk Moon Lotus the demon spider rights itself after the hard impact of Alani's throw. It pounces at the Sidereal and misses completely stumbling over some of the debris and crashing back to the ground.
Nine Roads Alani Alani flips gracefully in the air, landing right behind its head in a leglock. She then realizes her grip is loosening, so instead of simply letting go, she grabs it by one hand, kicks right off the top of its head straight up into the air, slamming it by the chin into the roof of the building with a loud WHUMP.

But she's not done. Oh, no, not by a long shot. Still soaring through the sky, she does an aerial backflip with almost lazy grace...but as she hits the apogee and comes back down again, she grasps that wheel of hers with both hands and swings violently forward into a rapid series of forward flips, descending towards the spider like a boulder!

Nine Roads Alani So. It's not every day that something gets cleaved in half with a -blunt weapon-, but that's exactly what happens.

Instead of just slamming into the poor doomed spider like a cannonball, Alani takes a far more acrobatic approach. As she comes down in the final rotation, buiulding up more and more speed on the way down, she plants her feet in between the spokes of her wheel and SLAMS down on the spider's carapace with her full weight, the weight of the weapon, the force of the downward motion, and the force of the spin.

All in one place across the Anuhle's thorax.

Its carapace may as well not even be there. She cleaves right through the creature with unimaginable force, ichor completely covering her as the two halves instantly collapse. One half falls off the roof, and the already crumbling building rumbles with an ominous sound. She falls back, of course, knocked right on her arse, and groans.

"Oh, gods, my -hair-..."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk chuckles at the sight of Alani. "I would say it could be worse but that would be a lie." Silk pulls a small towel from her pack and tossed it to Alani. She turns to look around the rest of the compound from up here.
A rainbow hued beam of light shoots up to the top of the down from the other side of the building. It appears to hit the dome and splinter into the color fragments that they have observed from the edge of the dome. "I think we found the source of the wyld energy in here. Want to check it out or investigate the barracks below us first?"
Nine Roads Alani Alani chuckles wryly as she stands, and catches the towel with a bit of a grin. "Hey, hey, I always know where my towel is. No worries. If you get the spider guts next time, I have you covered."

As she tries to scrub her besmirched hair, she stands and looks out at the sight alongside Silk.

"Now that's a downright gorgeous rainbow. Pity it did a number to this place." She pauses, thinking a bit, and looks at Silk. "I definitely want to check the barracks before we go? But I have this feeling that we need to strike at the heart of this and -fix- it first. We can go through and search for treasure at our leisure after the area's safer. You up for that plan?"

Silk Moon Lotus Silk nods her head in agreement. "We should investigate whatever is causing that. If we can fix the issue, then it should be considerably safer to investigate the rest of the area." Silk starts forward at a careful pace towards what in her head she is calling a beacon.
The rooftop has a slight crenellation to it to allow it to be used for defense in case of attack. The shadows as they move forward being cast in odd directions and shapes do to the light coming from ahead, above, and below. As they get to the edge and look down a very unique courtyard awaits them.
The courtyard centers on a dry fountain. In the center of the fountain are five statues with weapons raised skyward. Between the weapons floats a sphere of scintilating energy. The beam is shooting out the top of the sphere. Around the fountain are five circles each glowing a different color. One red, one blue, one black, one green, and one white. The circles have a glyph in Old Realm representing each of the poles of the world. Three of the eagle-bears can be seen sitting in the courtyard staring up at the light.
Nine Roads Alani As the pair of them look down into the courtyard, Alani brushes off another persistent dab of spider yuck and kneels down behind a crenelation to watch. She looks at Silk meaningfully and leans over to whisper as quietly as she can.

"They did something on purpose. I wonder if the elements were meant to keep the Wyld out...and ended up keeping it -in-. But I bet it got twisted somehow. What do you think?"

She looks down and studies the orb and the creatures as she finishes speaking, searching for any hidden facts...secrets to unravel. What is this orb? What is likely to happen if it's disrupted?

Silk Moon Lotus Silk looks over at Alani "I think it was created this way on purpose. Perhaps there is a fae nearby that created this place as a haven for when it goes hunting. Either way, we need to go down there an deal with the eagle-bears. Do you think it's safe for us down there?" Silk stretches her neck and makes sure she is ready.
Nine Roads Alani Alani looks over the crenelation again at the courtyard, her blonde brows deeply furrowed as she considers the sphere. "Mmm. I'm not so sure about that, Silk. Why would a fae symbolize the five elements of Creation? Maybe as irony, I guess, but I still tend to think a sorcerer messed up his Working and caused this. Or...hum! This makes the most sense: He goes to finish his Working, a fae lay in wait and distorted it. Either way, it's got to be stopped." She frowns. "I have not yet been initiated, though I'm not that far from it myself. I'm going to need your help with this one.

"As for down there, no, I am in fact -quite sure- it is not safe for us down there." She smirks and caresses her wheel like a tender lover. "Fortunately I'm at my best when coming from above. And with all these shadows, I bet you'll do quite well as well."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk appears to think about Alani's statement. "That does make more sense. I need to take apart the working you think? OK, but only after we have dealt with the eagle-bears." Silk appears to concentrate for a moment and she looks more solid? She then mores into position to attack.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk becomes one with the shadows once more and leaps off the rooftop towards the first of the eagle-bears. She comes down and slices deeply into the creature's flank. The fur around the wound suddenly turning red with blood.
Silk Moon Lotus The lone Eagle-Bear that was not Attacked in the ambush turns towards the first cry of pain from it's brother. Seeing a shadowy figure attacking him, it rushes over to add swinging it's claws at Silk.
Nine Roads Alani Alani gives Silk a wide grin and a wink before turning to face away from the edge of the roof like a diver, and without a care in the world, pitching backwards right off the roof.

It looks like a brainless move for a moment, but the sublime beauty of it becomes apparent as she sails downwards towards the unsuspecting beast, wheel above her head, and turns her momentum yet again to her advantage. She leglocks the thing's neck, which given their weight disparity shouldn't do a whole bunch...but with the weight of her weapon and her momentum flips him completely backwards, slamming him down on his back with a muffled WHUMP and her legs locked around its neck. She's squeezing its neck as hard as she can.

Silk Moon Lotus the Eagle-bears lash out at their attackers but cannot land a blow.
Nine Roads Alani Frankly, the eagle-bear attacking Alani -should- have hit. She's right there, pinning him down. He should be able to knock her for a loop. And yet, his effort is...weak. His heart isn't in it. The blow sails over her head as she ducks effortlessly.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk rolls around the Eagle-bears bite dropping to the ground as the creature rushs over her. She lunges up into the bears unprotected belly and pierces its heart in one blow. The magical blades sever it in two causing the creature to continue past her for a few moments then stop and collapse. Silk's arm coming back out covered in the creatures blood. She quickly kips up to her feet to face the third eagle-bear.
Nine Roads Alani Alani thinks better of keeping the creature close at hand, but can't resist leaving him with a parting gift!

She grits her teeth, plants her hands on its shoulders, and handstands right above it's snapping vicious beak. As she pushes up, her weight comes back down and she slams her knee right into its exposed throat with a sickening crunch. It's not enough to kill it, alas, but it's clearly hurt bad.

Silk Moon Lotus The eagle-bear that Silk has squared off looks angry. It rushes at her and swings it's massive paw at her.
Silk Moon Lotus the bears paw connects solidly with Silk's torso and sends her staggering backwards.
The eagle-bear that Alani has been wrestling has decided that it does not like how the fight is going and runs off out of the courtyard favoring it's left side.
Silk Moon Lotus sensing that it is gaining the upperhand. The beast attempts to lash out at Silk again.
Silk Moon Lotus the beast strikes Silk again but this time she reacts with more skill and turns the blow without suffering any major harm.
Silk Moon Lotus Silk follows behind the beast paw and takes a quick slash at the beast's flank as she moves past it.
Nine Roads Alani As one of the eagle-bears runs, another takes a vicious swipe at Silk. Without hesitation, Alani spins, her huge wheel in hand, and lets it fly. It very nearly knocks him on his ass, so unbalanced is he, and the wheel bounces off two walls, the earth statue, and the floor before flying right back into Alani's waiting hands.
Nine Roads Alani As off balance as the creature is, it's doomed. Its fate may as well have been written in the sun and stars themselves as Alani and Silk both strike at the same instant.

For Alani's part, she never stops spinning, using the momentum of the wheel's return to send it right back out again, winging it with both hands full force like a shotputter. It flies through the air, a massive, deadly missile striking the creature amidships with the unmistakable sound of shattering ribs and spine.

Silk Moon Lotus Silks part of the attack saw her soar above the creature and land on its back. With deadly percision, she stabs down into the creature's skull with her blades piercing it's brain. She then jumps back off the creature as it collapses.
Nine Roads Alani With a long, slow exhalation, Alani catches her wheel again and slowly leans on it, the rim against the floor. She just...pauses, for a long moment, as her yellow anima ripples around her and the mark from before shines on her brow.

"Well. I've had more efficient fights, but that was well done. We make a good team." She pauses, looking upwards at the chaotic orb overhead, above the five statues. "And it's a good thing, too, because the job isn't done yet. Let's catch our breath a moment, and we can talk about how we're going to tackle this."

Silk Moon Lotus The courtyard grows quiet save a hum coming from the fountain and the sphere of pulsing lights. Silk fades back to her normal appearance with the golden cirlce upon her brow. "Agreed, lets take a moment to examine these symbols and look for what is linking them all together. The circles are the only part of the courtyard that isn't covered in plantlife. Perhaps something more lies underneath it all?
Nine Roads Alani Alani looks at the fountain thoughtfully, then the ground in front, still leaning on her wheel.

"Huh. I see what you mean," she replies, still looking at the phenomenon. "We're going to have to study these a lot closer to come up with a good theory on how to destroy it the right way." She chuckles. "As in, the way that doesn't turn me into a houseplant."

She hoists her wheel up over her shoulder, then leans in close to the carvings and examines one in minute detail.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk uses her fighting claws allow Silk to cut away some of the plant growth on the ground. Below the plants are lines of jade. As Silk and Alani peel back the plants, they find three rings joining the five circles around the fountain.
Nine Roads Alani Alani at first says nothing, tracing the lines of jade with a finger, before looking curiously at Silk.

"I don't know...what do you think? Could it be as simple as shattering these? Possible, but not exactly a step we can reverse if it's wrong..."

Alani frowns at the lines, experimentally testing the weight of her wheel. "I'm sure I could if we needed to, though..."

Silk Moon Lotus Silk looks at Alani, "I'm not sure that shattering the circles is the correct course of action. I agree that doing that would not be reversable. Perhaps we need to look at the glyphs and see how the essence is flowing."
Nine Roads Alani "Well, that's not a bad idea. If we can suss out what it's -doing-, versus what it should have been doing..." She leaves the rest of the thought unsaid, it's obvious enough. Instead, she prowls around the base of the statues, brow deeply furrowed, thinking.

But of course, that's not where the Essence is visible, is it?

She finally looks up, at the orb overhead, and instead of just acknowledging it as 'spewing out Essence', she looks at each color carefully as it shoots skyward...

Silk Moon Lotus Silk examines the glyphs and as though the sun burned away her confusion she snaps her fingers. "The sphere is drawing the power from the ground. There are dragon lines feeding each of these. We need to interrupt the flow from the dragon lines. A smart sorcerer would have built in a way to shut this thing off when whatever reason they turned it on had past."
Nine Roads Alani Alani snaps her fingers as well. "Of course! I should have seen that, you're exactly right. Exactly right. Which means...well, the shutoff can be any of a number of things, but we should search the place and see if we can find a built-in way to interrupt the taps. Shall we?"

With that, Alani starts carefully hunting around the statues, since they're what is connected to each element individually.

Silk Moon Lotus Silk starts searching the statues and finds that the weapons in the statues hands can be removed. "Well, taht's sneaky. The weapons aren't part of the statues. I bet that's what's channeling the power to the sphere." As Silk takes the first weapon out of the statue's hand, the glyph next to the statue pulses once, then twice, then nothing. The sphere appears to begin shrinking as well.
Nine Roads Alani Pretty much at the same time Silk pulled out one weapon, Alani had started to fiddle with a trident in what has to be the water statue, and arrived at much the same conclusion. She offers Silk a bit of a grin and starts pulling weapons as quickly as possible.

"Interesting choice, I have to admit. I guess I would have picked something harder to just...stumble over. But at least things seem to be working out. I wonder if these are worth anything." She glances behind Silk, at the building they came from. "And don't forget once we're done here, we'll need to go back and give this whole town a thorough search. I think we're both gonna enjoy the next few hours. Nice work, Silk!"

Silk Moon Lotus With the last of the weapons removed from the fountain, the sphere disappears as does the stream of essence that was powering the dome. It flickers a few times and fades from existance as well.
the sounds of the forest come flooding into the area to replace the still silence. A couple of the smaller outbuilding crumble to dust before their eyes as time appears to accelerate like it did for the Wingleader's body. The barracks stays standing as do the building around them.
Silk turns to Alani "I agree, I'm sure we will find some treasures in this place. I kind of hope we can find that sorcerer's notes of the working and maybe determine what went wrong."
