Black Pearl There had been a note at Amethyst's workshop, waiting for her. Sealed with a stand and addressed to her. Within, it simply states: It has been too long. Come. Dinner and more await. And you may not be at work tomorrow. ~CRS~

And at the Chateau, Salara is going over things, making sure that all is in order: liquors and meat, sauces, fruits, and more.

Amethyst Amethyst grins at the note, pockets it, and closes up her shop for the day. Out into the evening in her usual garb, she makes her way to the Chateau and to whatever private room Salara's prepared for them.

"Dinner and more you say?" She grins, "I wonder what else you have in mind for the night that means I won't be working tomorrow." She giggles. "It's been a short while since we hang out like this hasn't it?"

Black Pearl Black Pearl is dressed in silks, as susal, but the cut is different from before...and looks an awful lot like designs a certain Lunar and her demonspider familiar come up with. "Well, for now, hearing about your adventures...and, well, I might want to go back ot the Dreaming Sea and see your mother agaon. Or try to find the fae and strike a bargain with them...we shall see. Rishi and some others are looking to go to meet Raski...and It would be better for us if we do not go, I am fairly certain. And after talk?" She smiles. "I have missed you.
Amethyst "Raksi sounds like she'd eat both of us." Amethyst says, making a face at the mention of the name, "Doubly so since you're actually a Dynast. Some Luanrs just wanna pick their teeth with our bones I swear." She sighs.

R "As for going back the wyld, I mean, you don't need to ask me twice. But I'm curious, why the sudden thoughts of heading back there?" Amethyst asks.

Black Pearl "It is...in the nature of throwing an anchor out. Seeking a backup for if, or when, disaster and calamity strike. I would rather not dodge assassins most of the time, even if I am good at it, and Rishi said we might end up far away in a new place to start again. So...that made me think of the Sea, and even if we do not stay there, well...it's where things truly began for me." She smiles back.
Amethyst "Well, Elderloch does have a place for us." Amethyst says, "And I wouldn't mind trying to learn more about the past lives I've apparently lived before. Funny how by chance I just happened to be a DB this lifetime."

"Dodging assassins does not sound like a good time, for sure." Amethyst says, rubbing her head, "But," She smiles, "I think we both came alive back there. And to think, there's even more wonders that the Wyld holds than those we found back there."

Black Pearl "It would still be better if we could...broker peace, as impossible as that sounds. It would mean so many people have to give up dreams of rule...and frankly I think many Houses would prefer to see things broken rather than yielded to another. And Iselsi might be among them."
Amethyst "What was that about the Iselsi vendetta?" Amethyst asks, "Something about hiding in plain sight and waiting to murder the cousins who brought them low? I think Iselsi'll be leading the charge."

"And that means, if they suspect anything from you, they'll come for both of us too. Can't imagine a house that feels betrayed would have anything but spite for someone who's lost sight of their goals."

"I want to go the Caul, and do the impossible there." Amethyst says frankly, "If we could claim the Caul in the name of both the Dragons and the Lunars, it might be the first step to creating some sorta peace. But it could easily be doomed to old hatred too..."

"At least in the Wyld it's so everchanging that you always have a chance to embark on a new beginning, just be careful not to lose yourself to its tides, lest it take your soul. We oughta be safe tho."

Black Pearl "True! It's just that the elders want to destroy everyone else, not survive and win! If we can set that up as a possibility...perhaps with backing? Or point out that aiding Iselsi will cripple the Dynasty more than just about anything else they can do. But yes, the rest of the Realm would hunt or suborn me as Iselsi. The Iselsi might hunt me as a traitor. And they would very much come after you and Rishi both. As for the Caul?"

She thinks a moment, "Perhaps. I have never tried making the pilgrimages, and I do not think any are allowed to, even if they truly swear to have no harm."

"But I remember the waters, and reveling in it, even as I had to stay in the enemy camp. But now with two ties...no, I do not fear my soul being washed away. You two are my anchos."

Amethyst "I can't find much information on the Caul, but I'm sure it'd be an uphill battle either way. Ironically I feel like the lunar elders are the exact sort that would know about it." She rolls her eyes. "But maybe I can find another way. One idea I've been contemplating is making a new sorta identity, one revolving around going and doing incredible things in the name of my principles. Where I could be free to do and say just about anything and not have it fall back on us."

"It's a magic I've read about in many different novels and I feel like if it's real, I can learn it through our larceny training. And if not I'll just use sorcery to make it real."

And she hugs Pearly, "I'm glad I can be one of your ties. The three of us together, gods imagine if we raised our own fae army and marched against the Realm ourselves." She says in a sorta dreamy tone, the sort she takes when she's dreaming things up off the top of her head.

Black Pearl "Oh, that would be...beautiful and terrifying. For everyone," Salara says as she hugs back. "Wait...there is..." She frowns. "I think such things are done in wooden masks. If you learn more of hiding, cleverness, and the like, it is something you should learn as well. Though I hope you will learn to become water as I am!"
Black Pearl Black Pearl says, "And when you do, well...Rishi wants us both to go into her pool and see what happens."
Amethyst "As anything born of the Wyld is wont to be." She grins. "Beautiful and terrifying."

"...Really, Rishi /wants/ us to go into her pool in water form and see what happens to us? " She sounds surprised. "She... does know there's a decent chance the two of us'll just end up combining into one being or something?" Amethyst is obviously a little nervous about this idea.

"But! What if I learn about these wooden masks and how to become like water? Can I do both?" Amethyst asks, grinning. "I've done the impossible before."

Black Pearl "She thought...she might be able to help us separate," Pearl says. "I wondered if she could encourage fusion instead. She's also been muttering about trying to learn some sorcery to do something similar." Pearl smiles and leans down to kiss Amethyst's forehead.

"You sound a bit worried about the possibility? I don't think it will be any more...than when you tried attuning to your soulstone."

Amethyst "Well, I do like being me..." Amethyst says. "And I'd like you to be you." She gently cups Pearly's face with her own hands. "And I think the two of us could do more good separate than we could do fused."

"Tho," Amethyst considers, "What if we had artifacts that do something like that? Imagine a pair of weapons that let us protect one another or some such, if you wanna be bonded more thoroughly."

"I do need the skin of some incredible beast to be made into armor so that I can freely shapeshift without needing to strip naked first, so I need a custom made artifact /anyway/."

Black Pearl "Ah...you are worried that melting would be permanant." Pearl shakes her head. "I have never had any trouble coalescing what was 'me' from the waters and become me again. I think there will be no trouble in the pulling apart.:
Amethyst "Yeah, that's what I worried about." Amethyst admits, "I guess I was worried if the two of us melted together we wouldn't get back apart. I've done a lot of strange things but I've never melted before!"

"...Guess Rishi could always do a working to get us apart even if that did happen. She's good at that kinda thing."

Black Pearl "Honestly, I think she wants to have the three of us together and hold that as long as we can until we pull apart..." She takes a drink of a chilled peach cordial. "Now...is there anything I can help you with? Any wish you have?
Amethyst "Yeah that sounds like Rishi." Amethyst says, giggling just a little. "Hum, something to help me with?" She stretches and nuzzles, "Maybe sometime you could find a mask blank that I could use to make my own. And teach me just a little more about how to liberate others' possessions."

Then the younger Dragon gets a grin on her face, "Can I have some of yours?" She gestures at the peach cordial.

Black Pearl Pearl laughs. "Very well. I can certainly have the highest quality blanks here, but you will have to carve, polish, laquer, and decoarte them yourself, I think." She grins and comes closer, extending her hand, and offering the glass. "Well, charming somone is certainly one way to go about it, but many times, you want to be unnoticed--ornoticed as something else completley. Like what I do with White Veil."
Amethyst "Of course, of course. I'll bring my finest alchemies with me to do all sorts of things to this mask. Perhaps I'll even use the same ink as my tattoos for it. Never carved a mask before but I think I'll get there without much effort."

"I'm not gonna be good at being unnoticed." Amethyst's ears wiggle in protest, "But, I understand that disguising one action as another is useful."

She takes the glass and downs it, grinning back at Salara, "I'll get better at it as we go." She says, giving the glass back.

"And of course I know the dangers of taking something offered by a White Veil stylist."

Black Pearl "Good! But since you know you can trust /me/..." She smiles, "Of course it may be drugged with a drug to have you addicted to me and slowly bend to my every whim!" She starts to laugh maniacally, and then spoils it by giggling in the middle. "Ah, you are certainly learning more, and some of it is simply skill. But yes, noting the exact uniform of another's servants alows you to blend in among them...if you can masquerade yourself...you owuld need to hide ears, and perhaps have your skin change--the combination is very distinctive." Not to mention her height.
Amethyst "You mean this one?" Amethyst asks after Salara's laughter, pulling out a rich, deep purple vial. "You must remember that I produce a lot of drugs my love." She giggles. "Some of them? For removing the effects of others."

"But yes I know I can trust you." Amethytst says, shifting her skin to be just as dark as Pearly's. Benefits of chameleon skin! "If I want advice on disguises I think I should talk to Silk. I bet she could make me look like an ordinary servant if need be. Remember how you two met?" Amethyst grins.

Black Pearl "Of course. And if I were to disguise myself..." She closes her eyes and concentrates, and her normally ebon skin becomes lighter, purplish, and more towards a golden hue. "Oh, this looks..." She blinks, "It is unnatural to me to look no longer as a Water," she says with a laugh. "But yes, she is a very good mistress of disguise."
Amethyst "It's okay, purple's a pretty color." Amethyst grins. "Think it looked better on me than you tho." She considers, poking her love. "Though violet /is/ a color of the water dragons, is it not?"

Amethyst shifts back to her 'natural' color, "Or is this more of a consequence of my wyld heritage?"

Black Pearl "The deep purple, green, blue, or black...all of those are of water. And I have seen others chosen who have skin unchanged," Salara says, and reaches out to stroke one of Amethyst's ears.

"And between what happened to us, and the fae Princess, I am partly fae now as well."

Amethyst Amethyst giggles and leans against Salara, "That's right. We're both a little be wyld now aren't we? I wonder if we went back to the wyld if we could master the strange powers the fae command, and how far we could go, how close to the wyld we could become."

She nuzzles into her love, "Just imagine a pair of fae dragons doing their best to try to stop the world from imploding. Or at least, carving out a little space of their own among it"

Black Pearl "If we must flee, would that be a good place? To be together? Dragons never to be seen again above the water?" She smiles and wraps her arms around her love as well. "Now...is there anything you'd like to do to celebrate? Perhaps try to break into my cabinet? Or...Rishi's spider wove some ropes as well as these clothes.
