Amethyst Amethyst stands in the sparring room, stretching and warming up in her human shape. It's been a short while since she's actually tested her skills, and she isn't sure she's had a real chance to let loose in the last few months. But at least this room would limit the amount of harm they could do to one another.

Besides, she's curious of how Raullaur will be able to fight, and if she can overcome the mighty lion's defense!

Raullaur Raullaur has come to the room as well, more restless than before. He's actualyl let loose, and shown the Sun in the shadowlands, and still, there seems to be more to do. More he needs to do. And so, to test.

"Hello, Amethyst. It's been a while. Just so you know, this time, I /will/ be able to get my weapon back. But I am sure you have new tricks as well."

Amethyst "Know that your lion hide isn't going to stop my whip from getting through this time." Amethyst grins. Then with a moment she shifts into her dragon form, sans wings, she won't be needing them right now. And there's the signature feeling of water and pressure as she casts her spell, a whip made of her own blood coming out of her hand. "Ready to show me your new tricks?" She asks grinning in her battle stance.
Raullaur Raul smiles and rumbles, and then the air around him seems to turn molten with golden light. When it subsides, it has encased him in armor, as well as his sword. "Some of them, of course. Others...well, I don't have anyone else to defend... But ready when you are."
Amethyst Amethyst grins and launches forward with rapid speed. Her anima comes to life as her whip turns this verdent green and sprouts razor thorns that have no trouble going right /through/ all that armor of Raul's! Her greenish-blue anima is more calm than the previous battle, rather than boiling over, it's almost like she's surrounded by dew, it certainly smells like morning dew! She grins widely, "Looks like I might have an advantage here."
Raullaur Raul is slowed a bit. "Well you might. So long as I can defend, well...I am still getting somewhat better..." He smiles and then launches an attack as well, the klaive gleaming with the sun's light. Unfortunately, there is a brighter light which staggers him even as he misses. He snarls and then roars frustration, pulling back into a very defensive stance.
Amethyst As she sees Raul's assault towards her, she steps back and puts her whip between herself and his blade, while her body momentarily takes on a more bark-like appearance, the element of wood granting her strength and nourishment. She strikes several thorns against that blade as she deflects it, sending shards of plants into Raul's eyes. "Gonna need to do better than that if you're gonna catch me." She grins

And then she renews her brambles on her whip, glowing as she does, clearly her aura amplifying her power. With one deft agile motion, she looks like she's gonna send her whip one way, but it seems to follow a completely different course! Is she getting faster?

Raullaur Sometimes, all that is left is no skill, no finesse, but raw power. The sun's light pours around him and this time the blade slaps at the ship enough that it barely misses him. The essence flares around him, and the aror seems to fuse with him, looking like a stylized lion, even as a deafening roar echoes through the chamber, and then he strikes back where the blow came from, but a wide, broad sweep trying to catch her.
Amethyst "That's what I'm talkin' about." Amethyst says with a grin as Raul just... almost casually blocks her attack and when she completely fails to block his. She got lucky that it was just barely a graze, but many that's a lot of power. "Now you're fighting like the Solar I know you are." And hopefully tiring himself out. She can feel strain herself, not wanting to push her anima much higher. But she might not have a choice here.

In a space between heartbeats, she focuses and waits, instead of striking, she sets herself up for a defensive stance, egging Raul to attack with a subtle hand gesture.

Raullaur Raul rumbles, and blinks, eyes finally clear again, still in the blaze of essence that surrounds him. "All right. Let's try this again, now that I can see." He gagues things, and smiles, seeing the defensive posture, knowing it well, and then...a strike.
Raullaur An opponent staggered. This time, focus is everything, and with one last surge of essence, Raullaur lunges forward, and doesn't slash, but thrusts with his daiklaive towards the water dragon, and all that he sees is the oppening, and the strike....
Amethyst Amethyst just wasn't fast enough for the first attack, and surging with all of her dragon-blooded might, she pours her power into a second deflection sending Raul just a little off balance, leaving her anima a roaring rapid with blackened and dark green waters surrounding her. But the third strike manages to land true. It cuts into the dragon and leaves her bleeding. The blood pools and collects into her whip.

She breaths deeply, focusing herself, and her strike. She doesn't have the momentum to use many of her tricks, but she can at least lead a reckless attack against the man, suffusing her power with her essence.

Amethyst Turning the tide is a specialty of the Dragon, and her attack must've been just intense enough to put the lion on the backpedal. This time she isn't wasting any time, she calls in all of her power, her anima suffusing her whip and turning into into a venerable tsunami. She herself becomes the guiding fist of a massive sea lion that lives in that anima, aiming to eat and consume the lion and flood him with the might of Danaa'd!

Black and blue and white rapids slam down in his general vacinity, but did she connect?

Raullaur Raullaur is struck true, but let his guard slip just enough, trusting in his own reslience, and so is whipped hard, almost stunned a moment. The whip of blood curls around the blade and tugs it away from his grip as he steadies himself. The whip comes in again, and this time strikes again. And this time...there's actaul pain and he roars again. Surprize, anger...but also some respect. He reaches out his hand and closes it...around the hilt of the daiklaive which is suddenly there within it. "Not this time," he says, panting, a hand over his arm.
Amethyst "We're one for one now." Amethyst grins, giggling just a little. She looks like she's having a blast doing all of this, even though now both of them are completely soaked and she has an open wound. "Seems you can keep ahold of your weapon after all."
Raullaur "Or at least get it back," he says, with a nod. "But...ow. Those were good hits, Amethyst. I'll just have to keep getting better. Thank you for keeping me on my toes."
Amethyst "Same." She says, offering a hand. "You did really well. I think we're about evenly matched."

"I gotta work on dealing with those crazy attacks of yours. But I'm sure I'll get there." Amethyst grins. "Man it's just good to see that my thorns are able to get past armor that easily. Gotta work on my supporting techniques tho."

Raullaur "Next time, well...I know a bit more what to do. For now...I feel exhausted. A /good/ workout!" He slumps and now the blade and armor fade back into golden light, and marks of thorns have torn his clothes and fur, leaving some spots of blood.
