Fudou the Mountain A large lone rock serves as the perch for one Fudou the Mountain. The gigantic man seated atop it with one huge arm stretched out over an upraised knee and another one holding an absolutely massive jug that is probably filled with..something that miiiight actually give him a buzz for once. But probably not given his incredible stamina and resistance to such things. Either way, he peers over the horizon towards the miasma of the far away shadowlands and occasionally takes a swing before leaning back. Behind him, a massive and similarily lonely tree, supporting his back though it creaks and groans in protest.

He is silent, seemingly waiting for someone to arrive or something to happen.

Tiziri A falcon has been circling for a while, and even ends up lazily gliding downwards. The creature probably just hunting or something... until it is nearby and shifts into Tiziri, her spear resting over her shoulders lazily almost like a yoke. She looks over to Fudou with her weirdly tilted head before saying, "So... Makara. Here I thought I was naive. Apparently that's the sort of person the Realm likes appointing as officers? Maybe a war won't be so hard after all..."
Fudou the Mountain "Well you just launched right into that, eh?"

Fudou gestures, absently, not even looking to Tiziri just yet but he does sound mildly bemused. That seems to be persistent with him of late. Better that then angry he supposes. HE just drove someone into an existentinal crisis when he got truly angry..

"I don't know him that well but from my interactions with him he's always been .... a little too forthcoming and too honest. Even compared to me."

He finally looks over to Tiziri, "I found him before I made my way out here. We talked. He's...the best word is..confused."

Tiziri "Important things are sometimes best launched into without hesitation." Tiziri agrees. "Forthcoming is definitely a good way to put it. Naive, forthcoming, and very easy to read." She reaches up to squeeze the bridge of her nose. "All types, I know. I'm sure he's worth while in combat. He's beeing chosen after all. But... yeah. I'm not great in some things, but he's... something else."
Fudou the Mountain Fudou finally swings around to fully face her, bringing his legs around and planting them firmly onto the ground as he leans forward now and balances his great weight. He inclines his head as if studying Tiziri..a gesture not too distant from her own usual one, and then he rumbles, "It's his family. He doesn't want to break his ties or put them in danger. Same with his men. He's exalted and everything he was raised to believe was turned on its head and he's lacked the real...interaction and guidance with those like us. He never joined any element of THe Pact and hasns't had anyone to give him any sort of...I don't know..direction. So I suppose he comes across as a little needy and uncertain. I think he knows it."
Tiziri "Good." Tiziri says. "Because the social elements can be as dangerous as anything. Though honestly, that's what shocks me most of all." Tiziri says, pursing her lips a little. "I'd have thought one raised where he was would be a bit better at interacting socially. I'm from a small town, and I understand politics better. It's a bit jarring to me." She looks up to the sky above. "Regardless, it's awkward. You weren't off in saying how much seemed to treat it like it would be some easy thing."
Fudou the Mountain "In truth..I told him it was bad idea for him to try and come just for the sake of coming and Bright Journey probably won't want him around anyway."

He frowns, lacing his fingers together as he leans forward and akwardly fiddling his thumbs.

"This is all my fault really. I should have spoken more plainly to you about it in advance. IT's not really my decison or Bright's, it's yours. Bright Journey asked me once, long ago, about meeting Lunar elders and I told her then that none would receive her as she was or treat her fairly because...aside from being Chosen of the Sun..she had nothing to offer them. She has this great vision, her lifes passion, for bringing The Chosen together. To save and heal Creation, I suppose. I told her then how nearly impossible a task that is but that's usually only fuel to ones like us."

Fudou shrugs and then adds, "I thought that, once I saw you two knew each other, that the time was right and that Raksi was a good option. They are both powerful sorceresses. Raksi obviously the greatest. I thought it would both enlgihten and humble Bright Journey which would only aid her cause that much more but..maybe I made a mistake."

Tiziri "Truthfully, I do not know what it will entail." Tiziri says honestly. Still looking up towards the sky weirdly. "Or even if it will lead to anything. I don't think Raksi will attack her out of hand. Indeed, she will probably be fascinated." There is a pregnant pause. "But Raksi has her own vision for the future, and while working together is... perhaps not as unuseful. She still sees it less as a new Deliberative, and more as we are each a king or queen of our own realm. When we destroy The Realm, we have our territory, our kingdoms. But I can promise you? She may well, humble Bright Journey as well. She has a way of doing that."
Fudou the Mountain "I came to Great Forks for fun. I was...some might refer to me as one man bandit. A criminal. But when here I met these Solars and I grew curious. I hadn't seen one before let alone so many in one place and so I stayed aorund because I wanted to see what would happen and if they were what we'd been told they were. I was..surprise. In a positive way. Maybe even....changed a little."

Fudou drums his fingers on his legs but then adds, "But they not been challenged by others like them. Great foes have come and gone, yes. An entire Fae Court no less but another Solar? A Lunar who does not agree and will not be pacified by not wanting to cause a stir in Great Forks? I'm not clear on this necromancer or mad ghost they faced but...""

He considers the matter and then says, "I think this is necessary and perhaps she'll surprise you and Raksi I can say that some among them want to avoid bloodshed and the death of so many in The Realm but I don't see it as something that can be avoided.."

Tiziri Tiziri listens intently, looking onwards and her expression serious, nodding at times. When Fudou finishes she says, "I came for fun too. the fun of exploring. Of seeing somewhere new. I found it alright, something fascinating indeed. Even if I've been around some others of our kind, it's different here." She says, grinning. but right back to seriousness she goes on, "I think you're right too. It will surprise us. I also think Raksi will relish it, find it interesting. I don't know exactly how she'll react, but I do know she'll find it interesting. After all, she remembers Before."
Fudou the Mountain THe giant grins now, as if reminded of something he'd forgotten. He looks distracted, thinking inwardly before rumbling, "Mm..I think you're right. I think I should start having more fun again.."

That's not exactly waht she said but she seems to have triggered something. Still, the serious talk does anchor him and Fudou muses, "If she can walk away having made Raksi find it interesting and impress her then that would be an incredible goal. Bright Journey shoudl have reasonable expectations. That will be a feat in and of itself but it's a start for her. Better start there then say the Wolf of Roses or The Black Lion."

Tiziri Tiziri giggles at that, almost more. "Oh, I'm not saying interesting is good." She continues to giggle, it's almost manic in its way. "Interesting means... interesting. It doesn't necessarilly mean good. She may decide to test her, intensely. And that might not end well." She continues to giggle a bit more. "Honestly, the Black Lion might be easier, from what I know. though that's only stories of the Pact. of course, she might not like his very militant aspect either. Meanwhile, I merely prepare myself, I won't go join his little crusade until I know I am ready, and can add to it. I know my Shahan-ya won't like that either. But." She pauses, "She does like me, and believes we should all forge our paths."
Fudou the Mountain "Hmm..it's too late to try and talk her out of Raksi, I think. She is curious about The Caul but I thought that because they both are chosen and deal in sorcery that it might prove more helpful to meet Raksi, despite the dangers."

Fudou grins, though it's a tight lipped one, "If one cannot take risk or accept danger then why are we Chosen, yes? Surely Raksi will test her and be dangerous but what if there is danger for Raksi as well? They are Solars after all and not all dangers need be life or death in nature..."

Tiziri "Honestly." Tiziri says with a feral grin. "It's seeing Lady Raksi's reaction that I'm most interested in this for. I really don't know! You? I think she'll like you. You're one of our kind, perhaps not a sorceror, but you are a different sort of paragon of what we can be, and she'll respect that. Respect the strength. Me? She respects my mind. Always has. It's why she happily guided me until it was time to set me loose - all fledgelings must leave the nest after all."
Fudou the Mountain "Mm.."

Fudou hadn't considered any of that. He'd been so focused on honoring his word to Bright Journey that his own presence hadn't been given much thought. "I imagine she deals with our ilk often." he considers. "I suppose I am all sinew and charm." He grins, seemingly humoring himself.

"No doubt she has her entourage which includes Lunar warriors but I suppose I can leave an impression."

Tiziri "Usually." Tiziri explains. "At least a few are usually present. Either those of her own students and retinue, or members of the Pact or elsewise come to pay supplication." She purses her lips. "Mahalanka is a wonderful place though. Even if I admit I was a little out of sorts, I'm not quite so... beast inclined as many of us. Even my hybrid form is not so obviously beastial, which made me stand out. I tended to like perusing the Book or other wonderso f the city, instead of partaking in the decadence that was my due as a Chosen."
Fudou the Mountain "...Hrn."

Fudou considers that and then admits:

"We are the same. I don't haev the stomach of some of what they claim is our due. In fact..I'd say I don't agree and neither will Bright. That will cause contention and good. The better to show our strength of will and purpose. I've no desire to eat children. I happen to like babies. I think they're cute. I happen to have been a baby once. Perhaps Raksi forgot that about herself."

Fudou shrugs lightly, his mind made up on that matter, "I don't mind a good romp or two but our Shahan-Ya's have habits that..perhaps..speak to why we're in the state we're in. It's time for something new, don't you think? If we can gain the respect from them to be allowed to pursue those new things then I think that's a victory worth having."

Mind you, he just admitted to being known as a bandit shortly after exalting but..it seems Fudou has his moral compass.

Tiziri "I admit." Tiziri says, "I've never asked if it truly was a baby. Part of me thinks it wasn't." She says. "Part of me thinks it might have been. Yet the Queen of Fangs? Is what she is. And you are right, she is a product of travails we cannot even comprehend. Any of our kind who can both survive the Usurpation, the Shogunate, the Contagion, and Realm and survive? Let alone thrive?" She notes. "They are hard to understand, they are shaped by things that are impossible to describe. Yet their wisdom is worth hearing too, as they have seen almost everything, and even if they haven't, likely they've seen something similar."
Fudou the Mountain "Something like this isn't about the Shana-Ya's or others like them It's about the rest." notes Fudou, "Raksi, Ma Ha Suchi..others may be set in their ways and shaped by the horrors of hte past and becomes of that they can't see the future for what it offers. All of the things you described are true but there's something different today that those catastorphe's didn't have.. The return of the Sun Chosen and these other elements around them. That has to count for something, even if you don't want to ally with them. It means Creation is different now."
Tiziri "It does. Yes." Tiziri agrees. Before she once more looks on rather seriously and says, "But again, some of those - like Raksi - saw what they became too. So they may have some views we need to understand." She shrugs. "It's fascinating, and yes, complicated. Ultimately, I like to think of them as being like us - champions for what we can do. Our teachers can guide us. Perhaps their ways will be proven right, perhaps we'll find something else. That'll be the journey, and as the Ardent Vagabond, I look forward to that journey."
Fudou the Mountain "Mm.."

Fudou ponders this and says, "That's why I stayed, to see if they would show signs of that past. Perhaps they will. Perhaps they won't. Certainly we lunars are horrors to those who fear what we can do and why. It is very complicated. Understanding is a problem for all involved."

He then stands slowly, "I wil speak to Bright Journey. I think she should strive to keep this a small group so that we don't stumble in there with to many disparate angles we'd be concerned about making things go wrong. But I think it's your call. If anything goes wrong, unless you've a plan already, Raksi could look at you differently."

Tiziri Tiziri ends up simply shrugging, "Honestly, I'm not too worried. As I said, this is something I think Raksi will be interested in. And that alone should make her more inclined to not take it out on me if it goes back. Even if she does? Well, that's a lesson too." She giggles a bit, though there might be a nervous air to it.
Fudou the Mountain He doesn't seem to like that. "I have some responsiblity here." he notes

But he then decides to let it go, "Well...if that's how you feel then very well. I shoudl expect Rishi and Amethyst to insist on wanting to come but Makara and Raullaur I don't believe should..but Black Pearl may insist on coming as well but I believe she's a liability also as is Amethyst despite their allegiances. Rishi, however, may benefit and also benefit us. That's how I will advise Bright Journey on it and the rest is up to her. Then we go and come back."

Tiziri "Rishi is the one most likely to want to that I know, and the one I honestly worry about the most." Tiziri says, pursing her lips thoughtfully once more. "Honestly, she's... not like Raksi, and I could see them coming into conflict. Hopefully not violent." She leans against her spear then, "As for Raullaur, I'm less convinced he's bad for it. He searches for a home for his beastfolk, and they would have a home there, especially if willing to fight in its defense. That's a powerful thing in his favor. Even if they don't settle, they would find a place they are welcomed and amongst those similar to them."
Fudou the Mountain "That is surprising. I'd think you'd have done that the other way around." Fudou is confused but considers it, "I'll mention that to Raullaur but why do you think Rishi would be a bad fit? She's more...well..bizarre then I, that's for sure. I"d have thought she'd find some things in common with Raksi."
Tiziri "It's because she seems... not hard enough. Too likely to be offended by the harshness of Mahalanka and more... traditional members of the Pact." Tiziri says quietly. "That's why. Perhaps I just don't know her well enough, and it is all for moot. But that is why. That being said, I do expect her to impress as well, due to her Sorcerous aptitude. But again, I don't know if they'll be so... likely to see eye to eye."
