Tiziri Tiziri is... well, perhaps not a creature of habit, at least not where doing the same thing is concerned. Yet she has taken to being at a few of the finer restaraunts in town. Today, one she's been to more than once since it seems to serve noodles. And meat. And it's spicy. Not to mention wine! Very good rice wine at that. So yeah, probably a good place to find Tiziri, kicked back with her feet up on a table, a jar of wine in her hand and a pile of noodles beside her.
Raullaur With the tournament started, there's a lot of people around. Raul is walking, striding through the crowd. The smell of the food is a draw, and as he draws closer, he sees Tiziri and grins. "Greetings, Tiziri. Good to see you. And that looks delicious." His tail flicks behind. "Mind if I join you?"
Tiziri "Welcome." Tiziri says before taking a sip of her drink and then gesturing across the table from herself. "Feel free." She adds before saying. "Ever been here before? It's great, especially if you like fire oil. It uses it well. Apparently imported from somewhere out in the West which I definitely have a real desire to go to, as it compares well with the best from the Dreaming Sea, and that's saying something."
Raullaur "We are mostly on the East side, so haven't been here, but fire oil?" He gives a rumbling chuckle. "Should be fine." He laughs, "I started near the Dreaming Sea, and prefer savory to spicy, but that's me. But how is the wine?"
Tiziri Tiziri nods to that. "Aye, I've never been there either. Just wouldn't mind the chance. I love spicy things. They tend to agree with my palette a lot." The blue haired woman says before once more taking a nice draught. "Wonderful. Then again, that's part of the fun with wine, even bad wine can still do the thing you most often drink wine for, so is that really truly bad?"
Ignis "I'm surprised you're not in the arena or at your barracks preparing for The Congregation of Victory, Raullaur. I imagined, for sure, that you were intending on competing or at least providing some sort of exhibition match."

Ignis' voice cuts into the conversation from behind Raullaur and the tall scruffy looking blonde haired traveller can then be seen approaching the massive lion-man with an easy going lopsided smile to his features. He looks on him and then turns slightly to take in Tiziri and he blinks in surprise.

"Well..I certainly didn't expect to run into you again. And we seem to have a mutual friend in Raullaur. Hello again."

Raullaur "Well, true enough." Raul laughs and gestures to get a cup of wine himself, but then there's Ignis. "Well hello there. And I'll be in there. What about you, Ignis? Been quite a while. And Tiziri, are you entereing the tournament?"
Tiziri "Salutations." Tiziri says, holding her drink up in greetings to Ignis, then taking a big gulp from said jar. The fact she seems in control yet after who knows how much... while also being a tiny woman? Yeah, might be a surprise too. She shakes her head though, "No. I wouldn't be interested in such things. It would be dangerous for me, and I am positive I'm not capable of winning."
Ignis "Dangerous? In comparisoin to what? Braving Antihelios on your own? I doubt most who enter could lay a hand on you.." muses Ignis thoughtfully. "But I understand. I'm certain that those gifted with the exigence as well as the princes of the earth will be making their presence known and perhaps more then that. The rankings will rapidly thin and the competition become fierce.."

Ignis glances to Raullaur now as he grabs a seat and spins it around to join the two with a casual movement that ends up with him sitting with the back of the chair infront of him, straddling it and leaning on it with both of his arms, "I don't now if I intend to enter no.." he says in answer to Raullaur finally, "There's some additional dig sites I was scheduling a visit to but..honestly the fever for this tournament is gripping this area so much it may be postponed anyway so...I don't know yet.."

Raullaur "Perhaps I will win, perhaps I will not. Dig sites...not for me." Raul laughs and takes another drink. "The danger is in fame and fortune, in being seen by all! Those who are jealous and wish to destroy their betters. Danger from the tournament?" He shakes his head. "So...something to consider."

"Or it's the best time to go. Everyone's watching here, so no-one's watching the sites...if you don't care about the tourney, this could be the best."

Tiziri Tiziri shrugs. "Dangerous is relative. And drawing attention to oneself at the wrong time is one of the most of all. Besides, I may be a decent Martial Artist, but I am not a duelist, and I'd rather not let everyone in Creation know what I can do. I'm far more interesting this way." She smiles impishly, then takes another swig of her wine.

Tiziri nods some more then. "And that too, I'm far more interested in the dangers of an old tomb, to find lost knowledge. Perhaps an artifact or text that hasn't been seen since before the Shogunate. That's the sort of thing I love. Aside from new experiences in general."

Ignis The relaxed man listens nad nods his head though it's unclear if it's in agreement or just absorption of the information. At least at first.
"Well.." begins Ignis, "Raullaur, What you say is true but..that is the drive behind many people. The Chosen and those like them aren't called to lives of passiveness. Tournaments like this appeal to those who desire martial mastery of themselves as well as the clout that comes with that and while yes, rivals may emerge..that is also part of that journey. Perhaps jealousy is part of the equation but so is the desire to test ones mettle against a peer or to be driven to overcome the hurdle they represent. Such is the way of the world of martial artists."

He signals for a drink to be brought to him and then notes "But of course tournaments like this aren't the only ways and means to challenge oneself or test your mettle or change the world. The pursuit of old world knowledge, from days gone and the mystery, power, knowledge they contain is perhaps more intoxicating and longer lasting." He nods his head in agreement to TIziri, "From those ancient days yes. From the before time, as some call it.. I've a particular interest in those things as well as martial things. Hence me poking about Antihelios.."

Raullaur "I seek Power, rather than Glory. So...will this help me? Maybe. Will it be fun? Possibly. So I will search what I search for. Act as I will. Martial I am, but not an artist. I know no arts save the rending of flesh and the spray of blood. Perhaps I would be a best, an animal in the show!"
Tiziri "Everything new is interesting. I can learn as much watching the tournament as entering." Tiziri responds, smiling impishly. "And that is much safer than if I were to enter it as well." She pauses for a moment before she adds, "This isn't cowardice either. I will fight if I need to. I just don't see the need to fight for glory. To attract attention that will bring more wishing to challenge me to my doorstep."

Tiziri looks towards Raullaur then too, regarding him for a moment. "That is certainly possible. Though it is interesting how much Power and Glory can interact, can be similar or lead to the other. Honestly, I think no less of anyone taking part - we all have reasons. For me? It makes no sense. I value my privacy, I value no one knowing just what I can do. surprising others when they discover something." She keeps that impish smile.

Ignis Ignis scoffs at Raullaur's words but pauses as he hears Tiziri. Listening for a moment he shrugs lightly. "You're not wrong to walk that path." he observes, "You need not explain yourself or suggest that it's not cowardice. It's only prudent to have your goals and method of going about them so sharply defined. I will say that if you had an interst in testing your martial abiltiies to attend to the dangers many of these dig sites hold..this tournament wouldn't be a bad option. I understand not all matches are intended as duels. It may be a mistake to think of it that way..."

He gestures though, not dismissively but more to the fact that whatever path she takes is her business and her choice, not his or his concern.

"However.." he adds, "I would agree that power and glory are intertwined. It's noble to not seek glory but glory is not just being self serving or wanting attention. There's nuance there."

Tiziri Tiziri looks rather enigmatically pensive for a moment before she finally says "I... am confident in myself. I don't see a reason to test myself against others, especially when the things I consider truly testing aren't so martially biased." Tiziri starts to use her eating sticks to take some noodles and slurp them up.

"I prefer to test myself in other ways. My martial skills are more to make a living, to make my way, to supplement myself." She says, "That's the far more important thing as far as I'm concerned."

Ignis FOlding his hands, Ignis smiles lightly as he notes the mysterious pensiveness about her.

"I think that's quite alright. For many, martial ability is just a means to an end and I take no issue with that. If we were all on the same path then Creation would be rather dull and lacking in diversity."

He inclines his head slightly now, "So then I must ask...in what way -would- you test yourself and continue to bolster the confidence needed to wander around a trap ridden ancient installation such as Antihelios?"

Tiziri Tiziri just smiles in yet another enigmatic sort of way. "And that, again, is best left a mystery. Suffice it to say I have my tests at the moment. Rather rigorous ones. I'm doing things that push me, and even surprise me, let alone those who I see as mentors." She ends up saying. "The rest is easier, if vague. Discover something new. If I find something ne and interesting, I consider the day a win."
Ignis "I should have known it wouldn't be that easy to get a straight answer out of you. I've met you twice and discerned that much already. But I spoke of prudence earlier and so it's prudent fo ryou to keep your secrets."

IGnis laughs a little at that and shakes his head, looking impressed and bemused. He shrugs idly at that and leans away enough to adjust his position so his back is against the chair properly now,

"But very well. I'll offer you this then. When next I go on a little delving into matters of the old days..I will seek you out. I think you might make for appropriate company. We can discuss terms regarding what, if anything, we find. In fact, I know of a potential opportunity already. A certain prince of the earth has peaked my interest regarding an abandoned temple site and I intend to join her along with another colleague of mine. Based on her demeanor, I doubt this Dragonblood ruffian will mind another..."

Tiziri Tiziri's smile looks almost sweet for a moment, complete with a slight head tilt and a little shrug. Yes, she's definitely happy with hiding things about herself.
Tiziri then the young woman leans forward and asks, head tilting to the side in a way almost feral like, still well within human ability, but definitely a weirdly quizzical sort of way. "I don't suppose this one was Amethyst? That might make me a little more ok with it. I'm always a touch worried about working with them though, given their ties to... places."
Ignis The blond man raises an eyebrow and rubs a hand under his jaw thoughtfully. He slowly smiles, an almost knowing glint in his gaze before speaking.

"Creation seems ever smaller despite its unknowable size. Amethys tis -involved- but it is not her expedition. She and I agreed to help a certain Lucky Raven.. Perhaps out of altruism..perhaps out of simple curiousity but...yes Amethyst is quick to jump in, feet first, into an adventure.. Curious. If you know her then you likely have at least a passing familiarity with those she spends her time with.."

Tiziri "I like to think I know quite a bit here." Tiziri agrees. "Even if not nearly as much as I would like to know." She purses her lips, but then shrugs and picks up another morsel of her noodles to slurp up, then a bit of meat. "I would never have so much hubris as to expect I knew even half of a half of what I should know."
Ignis "I never presumed otherwise." says Ignis as he stands, "I will leave you to your meal and to consider my offer. I'm sure I'll encounter you. I'll look for you in the stands of the arena if nothing else. After all, for someone who wants to learn more..that will probably be an educational watch."

He nods his head to her and turns, making his way further into the depths of the building. Probably hungry himself. He never did get that drink.

Tiziri "Odds are good you can find me here." Tiziri says, smiling. "After all, if I'm not trying to hide there's many chances to find me." She covers her mouth and giggles a little bit at that, as if some sort of wit only she can understand. "Have a great day."
