Nine Roads Alani The thrumming excitement in the air from the opening ceremonies the night before has hardly abated, but has shifted in form. Instead of the tense anticipation of a taut bowstring, it's the more steady, relaxed excitement of a popular, well-attended event already well underway. Fights are going on at several places in the expansive Arena at any one time, as the several marked-out competition rings go through the constant cycle of competition. The bracket is -huge-, and each fighter needs at least a little time between bouts, so the process of going through everyone's fights is like a slow, methodical clockwork machine...or an organizational nightmare barely ahead of complete chaos, depending on whom you ask.

The stands are well-attended, but in constant flux. Everyone has different favorite fighters, and so much is going on at once that people are constantly coming and going, and at no time is every single seat full. That's for late in the competition, when the truly powerful warriors are the only ones not winnowed out. For now, there's plenty of shouting and chatting, Nine Sheaves merchants hawking wares, and people milling about all over. The weather is partly cloudy and on the warmer end, quite a perfect day for displays of martial prowess.

Amethyst Amethyst looks up to the cloudy sky, grinning for but a moment before collecting herself and sitting, meditating on the very ground that she sits, aligning her essence with the world. As she aligns herself, she draws from each of the elements, strength from fire, endurance from earth, vitality from wood, cleverness from air, and the ever flexibility of her own element, water.

Rising, a wave of pressure falls upon the area around her, pressing on the dirt and anything that might be loose on the ground. Her tattoos go wild as sorcery essence flows from the world around her and into her hand, dramatically cutting herself with her ritual knife as she does when she summons her blood lash, her vital essence flowing out and becoming the very weapon with which she will entrust herself.

After practicing her strikes, she steps upon the ground with a solid stomp, the earth responds, pulling the very essence of the world to bolster her own strength. One final strike is directed upwards and her blood lights aflame in pure spectacle.

A short breathing exercise to steady herself, and the young dragon is ready for whatever may await her.

Misa Well, if there's any one thing that helps grease the wheels of a tournament like this, it's putting a swift end to simple matches. Whether Misa is thinking of this, or simply doing what comes naturally is, perhaps, up for debate.

She's just finished her own match, not so much as drawing the blade at her hip. Her opponent, an altogether too-confident student of a local dojo, may at this point potentially require some maintenance to the knee... and ribcage. The barehanded form the woman opted for was... not kind to the weaknesses created by her opening strikes.

Now, she returns to the stands, quietly taking a relatively lonesome seat looking for all the world as if she had not fought at all.

Fudou the Mountain a rumbling *thooom* emerges from the training yards as a great colossal weight is set back to the ground, splintering it and stumbling onlookers who have alternated their entertainment between fights and watching warm ups and training efforts by fighters who are both waiting to compete..and mingling to learn about one another.

The source of the rumble is not hard to see. Fudou the Mountain cuts a distinct figure among the current crop of gathered fighters after all. He stretches up to his full height as he releases the lengthy reinforced bar between the boulder like plates of metal and stone and then he turns away to look towards the arena and the batlte grounds themselves..seeing the spectacle of flame and blood occuring from a far off.

"Well, well.." he rumbles, reaching up to rub the back of his nose and sniffing a little before begining to tread past onlookers for the exit of the yard and towards a better proper viewing venue for this particular match. His eyes flicker over the crowds as he moves, searching for any familar faces and before long he sees Misa but he makes no move to join her just yet.

Rishi A quiet, slow piece of music starts, as a woman walks slowly and nonchalantly into the arena. Her hands caress the golden strings of her giant lyre, the sweet, slow sound filling the arena, yet never becoming too loud and the woman's steps landing in perfect counterpoint. When she reaches the battlefield, she pauses a moment, her steps and lyre falling silent.
But only a moment. Her hands flash across the strings as the tempo picks up, the Lyre suddenly sounding like an entire orchesta, blasting the arena with a sudden fast beat that has half the audience on their feet. The woman, similarly buoyed by the music leaps onto the battlefield, dancing her way to the center. When she reaches the starting position she effortly transitions into a Lyre solo, proceeding to shred her intrument for a long few moments.

Once she finishes, she bows to the audience, then to her opponent, a wide grin on her cheerful face. "Aodie of the Lyre's Whisper has Arrived!"
Amethyst Amethyst watches in awe as this lady struts in and plays an entire orchestra. She was expecting unusual combatants, but she's not sure she's ever met anyone with such powers sans maybe a Dream-Souled or a Fae. The Dragon too walks up to the starting line and bows, "Yim Amethyst, sorcerer-alchemist extraordinare." Might as well be polite.

An eye glances at the crowd, she thought she'd have them all enraptured by her own spectacle, but she's already been upstaged.

Raullaur There are several figures that draw attention. One is certainly the Mountain who towers over everyone else. Other obvious Exalts and Exigents. And another who isn't necessarily any of those. There is a lionman with a cinnamon-red mane and golden fur, dressed in white silks with gold embroidery on it, and gold beads braded into his mane. His tail flicks idly behind him as he makes his way slowly through the crowds, but keeping an eye on the action.
Amethyst Remembering mantras she's taught herself, she moves quickly. No particular tricks right now other than the raw power of her essence being brought forth, so she might gauge what she's up against. Her blood lash is wider than usual, so that it only leaves bruises instead of lacerations. Unfortunately, it hurts just as much, /if/ she can make contact.
Misa In time, it's the battle with a familiar figure that catches Misa's attention- she tilts her head as she leans against the rail along the side of the stands, given her position at the edge of them.

A quirk of the brow as the less familiar figure makes her interest, but Misa remains reserved for the time being. She rests her right hand absently on the scabbard of her sword, offering a nod to the massive figure of Fudou before turning her attention to the opening strikes of the match.

Fudou the Mountain "You see? What did we discuss earlier? I told you luv, it wouldn't take long for things to get fancy. That's quite abit more noteworthy then me knocking some unworthy fool into the air eh>?"

Fudou's deep voice rumbles in amusement towards Misa as he leans near the wall she stands by and uses the advantage of his great height to be able to call up towards her without too much difficulty.

"If I want to impress the crowd the next time I go forth.. I'm going to have to really put some effort into it compared to bonfires of blood and orchestral music played by one! I'm going to have to start practicing!"

He sees Raullaur some distnace away but then returns his attention to the match and Misa.

Rishi Aodie jumps back, her song starting again as Amethyst immidiately puts her on the defensive. Wavering patterns of rainbow light spring into being around her, matching her music...which suddenly falls into the same step and tempo that Amethyst is setting, Aodie matching her movements to those of her opponent. Unfortunately this doesn't help her fully escape the blood lash the Water aspect is employing.
Nine Roads Alani As the dazzling flash of Amethyst's entrance and the inspiring melody of Aoide's (Aoide? Aodie?) entrance come to a crescendo counterpoint, there's a figure in tan and black robes in the audience. The deep hood covers the face, but not the long, thick, ragged sheaf of straw blonde hair spilling out. Leaning against one of the railings, watching the goings-on with undisguised interest, her eyes might be shrouded in the hood (isn't she hot in that thing?) but the tiny, pleased smile on her face is impossible to hide.

As Amethyst and Aodie square off, each one a beautiful display of power, the tan-robed figure leans in closer, watching every step and gesture with interest. She's not so absorbed, though, that she doesn't turn a bit to one side and glance at Misa...and the unmissably huge outline of the man speaking to her. She says nothing, but hood or not, her attention isn't entirely on the action below anymore.

Rishi Aodie's song turns suddenly sharp and suspensful, her anima suddenly full of shifting dark colors as a wave of sound pressure shoots towards Amethyst, trying to rock not just her body, but also her soul
Radiant Heart Princess While this fight is going on, a young woman walks towards the seats in the stands. She's dressed in a brown and white dress, with a red shash tied around her waist and gold colored sandals. She looks over at some of the other people in the stand before watching the match.
Misa "Oh, my concern was less about noteworthiness, and more about economy of force given opponents in question," says Misa, smirking a little as she looks at the man large enough to be eye-to-eye with her as she sits high in the stands, simply by... standing next to them.

"An interesting one... I do not often see people... sing to strike," Misa admits, head shaking a little. "Similarly strange, perhaps, but not that particular form thereof. Are you more familiar, perhaps? I do not much care for these gaps in my knowledge on martial forms."

Taking a moment to scan the crowd, the foreign-looking Misa nods slightly to Raullaur as he moves through the crowd, and flicks her eyes over the odd golden sandals of a newcome woman before returning to the match at hand.

Amethyst Amethyst was not expecting the attack to strike fear into her very being. Without the iron resolve deep within her, she has no choice but to back up from this combatant, leaving her own edge. She... didn't intend on doing this during this fight, she intended for it to be a surprise for later fights, but she needs the steel resolve that comes with this one particular trick.

She takes the mask off of her belt that's been sitting there for some time, finely chiseled to resemble what seems to be some variety of fae, and dons it. Her essence boils over into her anima as the mask takes root into her face, making her ever more like the fae that she had once carved into it, her eyes glowing with forboding power as her anima again shifts to the smell of ozone and dew. The dragon seems to be no more, and in its place, some terrifying fae-devil.

"I'll admit, I might've underestimated you. But no more." Her voice is like the cracking of ice.

Rishi "Ah dueled the spirit of music herself for this chance. Ah.. I'm not stopping now!" For a brief moment there's a rather thick deep eastern twang to her voice, but she covers it up with a quick set of sharp stacatto notes shooting at Ammy!
Fudou the Mountain He seems unaware that he's being studied..or so used to it that he dismisses any looks his way off handedly. While he's certainly not the only unusual looking person about - as such things go given where they are - that he draws attention is to be expected and so the hooded ones gaze upon him goes both missed and thus not remarked on as instead he puts his full attention on the match.. His eyes widen and then narrow with growing fascination as he answers Misa.

"Who do you ask on? Them both? Amethyst I'm more familiar with. We've had sparring sessions a few times in the interests of helping her gauge her skill and power. She's quite a talented prince of the earth with additional skills to bolster that. She's fast, remarkably so and can quickly bind your attempts to catch and overwhelm her with speed and wits but..this other fighter. I've never seen anything like this before.."

Fudou looks on with curiousit, voice trailing off now as Amethyst removes the mask from her belt and his eyes widen slighty. "Hooo? What's this? That's new--"

He rears up slightly, straightening abit in what begis to be a look of deep dawning concern but he seems to catch hold of something mentally as his eyes focus in on the match and he calms down. The visible shift is noteworthy though and he looks on with more focused study now.

Raullaur Raullaur watches and then stills a moment as he sees the blows in the arena, and then the mask...He stiffens, and hands squeeze slightly, enough that claws can be seen, before they relax. "She was holding back before! I definitely have to dig deep if I'm going to beat her," he says in a deep, purring, bass rumble.
Radiant Heart Princess She would look over at the large lionman and be intrigued. Now she heard something of rumors about the some band of mercenaries with a bunch of beastmen in the area but she didn't think she'd run into one so soon. She'd walk over to him and try and put on the charm....and then after seeing Amethyst's visage she practical leaps behind the lion man.
Amethyst The fae-dragon is furious. The notes smash clear against armor that was not there a second ago, forming in place as she cackles. All made of some metal that looks like it could only have come from the depths of the wyld, subtly changing colors and humming with a pretty sound after being struck.

Her anima once again boiling with built up power, she just /vanishes/ from sight, appearing just in the blindspot of her opponent, her whip moving faster than what should be possibile! Even if she saw through Amethyst's disguise, it's like her speed and power have increased ten-fold in a single moment.

Raullaur There's a bit of a commotion behind him, and the lion-man turns, to see the woman hiding defensivley behind him. "Hey, it's all right. Just a fight! It's not getting into the stands. You're all right." And he reaches a furred hand to the woman's shoulders to try to reassure her.
Misa There's a narrowing of the eyes from Misa at the display with the mask, fingers curling more directly around the scabbard of her sword a moment- before she shakes her head to wave it off.

"Not being... precisely subtle, either of them, are they?" she questions of Fudou, more echoing his earlier statement than anything.

"I... may have to ask around about that style. Certainly not one for me to practice, but I generally... prefer to have some idea of what I might face, hm?"

"Though... perhaps I should more often test myself against such princes of the earth. It may become relevant sooner than later."

Radiant Heart Princess Radiant Heart looks up at the lionman. "Y-yes. Thank you. I'm just...not used to seeing something like that." He seems nice. Wasn't expecting that. "Are matches here always like this?" She said in both fear and awe, seeing as she only recently picked up a few tricks in combat, this is a good idea of what she might need to watch out for later. "How rude of me. My name is Radiant Heart Princess." She said extending her much tinier hand to his.
Amethyst Her overwhelming speed strikes true, leaving her to vanish /again/, then returning with her anima shifting one last time as it pulls into a violent rage of black and blue rapids, a sea lion appearing as her whip is set aflame. Time almost seems to slow as the flame travels up to the tip of the blood whip, and she cracks that very flame not even inches next to Aodie, scorching the battlefield and making it very, very clear that she could have killed her then and there. But her goal is to win, not kill. She stands with her whip in her hand, staring daggers into Aodie. The look in her eyes makes it obvious she will not deliberately 'miss' again.
Fudou the Mountain The gargantuan man turns his attention towards the commotion by Raullaur and as such eh espies Radiant Princess for the first time. His gaze lingers on them both for a few seconds..a sort of bemused confusion on his features before he hears Misa and redirects his gaze over towards her.

"Subtlety is no longer the name of the game and wasn't going to be for very long in this tournament no.. Our earlier matches were simply a factor of weeding out the foolhardy and the weak. Now..displays like this are going to be more common.. Though.."

He considers the fighters once again, "There's some new work at play. I don't know.." Fudou rubs his bearded scruff and then nods his head, "It's entirely possible that it's -not- a style of martial arts either and that is why you're unfamiliar. Who can say? It may be the instrument. Both combatants present some mystery now. Amethyst is full of surprises.."

As Amethyst truly flashes into action, Fudou arcs an eyebrow. He appears impressed but also..mildly concerned and he looks over the audience at large to study their reaction to what appears to be the workings of the wyld around them.

Raullaur Raullaur shakes his head. "No. Often people hold back. This is...the most I've seen outside of an actual battle," he says to Radiant. "It is good to meet you, Radiant Heart Princess. I am, Raullaur," he says, rolling those Rs and Ls in a sonorous purr. He takes her hand and squeezes gently. "I will be competing, but...there is a razor's edge to dance on between killing and defeating. We will see."

And then there is more action, a flurry of blows and back and forth, "The musician is definitely getting the worst of it."

Rishi Aodie's eyes widen as her opponent just ..appears.. behind her. Fortunately for her, she's still keeping time with her opponent and is able to dance backwards just out of reach of the first attack, then when the second attack comes at her, she stops playing for a moment to toss a string from her sleeve to yank herself backwards, only just keeping herself out of trouble.
Her music is quiet. Her breathing is heavy. Her smirk is gone. "...Dammit, I yield, I yield! You better not lose this thing though!"
Nine Roads Alani It's at about this point that the fight between the two Exalts is, by far, the most interesting thing going on now. Elemental clashes with sonic Essence, resulting in a display that draws everyone's attention, even as many of them cower from Amethyst's mask of fear. The marks of the Wyld are lost on most of them, partly because the elemental power is so much more obvious, and partly due to simple lack of experience with such things. If some few sages in the audience recognize it for what it is...they're not shouting it out. Perhaps that price shall be paid later?

Alani, for her part, is only paying half of her attention to the spectacle. Her eyes are assuredly on the fighting but she's straining to hear what that mountain of a man, and the woman who beat her once, have to say to each other...

Misa Misa tilts her head a little, the other way now, and despite the overal tenor of her at this moment... does allow something of a small smile.

"Well, that is rather unexpected," she notes to the large man, glancing over at him for just a moment.

She crosses one ankle in front of the other as she leans forward slightly in her seat, looking closer at the battle.

"I might even say Amethyst is almost as swift as I am, when she puts her mind to it," she notes with a soft chuckle, head shaking a little. "Not to... brag overmuch, that is."

"A rare opportunity, seeing battles like this. Perhaps you are right, and I was too quick to assume people would reserve themselves. I find myself rather glad that I came."

Amethyst Amethyst cackles and nods. Then calms herself. The battle is over. Shes touches her mask and her features return to normal, no longer does she resemble some fae-devil. It's as though she'd never donned it. Even her armor changes back. Her whip vanishes and she offers a hand to her combatant. "That was a good fight. And don't worry, I fully intend on taking the crown."
Tepet Makara Makara watches the fight in one of the stadium. Of course he didn't bring his armor along for good reason. For now, he is clad in his luxurious yet simple grey kimono bearing his house's mons. Once he sets his eyes on Amethyst's form, it gives him shivers yet awed by the fight. "I wonder who will fight in the next round'
Rishi Aodie relaxes a little, with the mask off, and takes Amethyst's hand and shakes it firmly. "Good! And I'll go practice more and be ready to fight you next time! On my honor as the Chosen of Stringed Instruments!"
Fudou the Mountain "It couldn't be any other way, luv. It's what I've been saying. Great Forks attracts too much color. It's already here, let alone those coming here to gain favor and clout in an atmosphere like this. Very entertaining yes." confirms Fudou with a slight grin to his features as the match seems to reach a point of finality.

"Ah look at that. Well done! I suppose Amethyst is very serious about making it through this! Hmm..."

Fudou seems to grow more thoguhtful and quiet as he looks on and watches the proceedings and the two fighters end their match with what appears to be mutual respect.

"Interesting. I suppose that should set a proper tone for future fights, assuming no hot heads step in to battle..."

Amethyst Amethyst grins, giggling just a little. "We'll fight again sometime soon, oh dear Chosen of Stringed Instruments. I'm sure you'll be stronger the next time I find you." She also relaxes, this is the first time she's ever used that particular ability, and it'll be interesting to see the consequences of doing that. She might have to explain herself to Fudou. Is he in the crowd somewhere?

For now, she just looks out to the crowd and holds her hands up in victory. Someone /really/ wants to hear the crowd.

Misa "One almost begins to feel as though they ought to make a statement of their own in some match," Misa muses aloud, looking back at the giant as the match draws to a close and her hand relaxes around that scabbard.

"She's done all this, you've sent men to touch the clouds... perhaps I ought to do... something. Though I suppose there are a few somethings that 'thing' could be. How blatant should I be, I suppose I am forced to wonder," she continues pondering, shrugging it off a little.

She's not much of a roaring crowd type, so she simply offers a nod as Amethyst makes her grand display, on the off chance the victor happens to see the semi-familiar face next to the huge man.

Rishi Meanwhile, Rishi is off in the medical area, bandaging up another combatant, when she suddenly shivers. "I hope everything is being alright out there." she murmurs to herself, before returning to the task at hand. "Right, now I am needing you to be doing the immersing of this arm into the healing waters here...."
Radiant Heart Princess She would nod. "I see. So you're fighting her possibly tomorrow?" She said looking at Raullaur. "I'm sure you will have it. Or at least give them the fight of their lives.." She said sizing him up. "So have you been here long? I only arrived a couple weeks back myself"
Tepet Makara "Chosen Of Stringed Instruments huh? Finally, my first time seeing an exigent with my own eyes" Ironically despite him being a frequent visitor of Little Yu-Shan, Makara has only heard tales of the little God's chosen. He wonders if there are others that will participate.
Raullaur "It will be fun no matter what," Raul answers with a grin. "I have been here a bit over a year, and starting to chafe at the...restrictions the city fences us all in with." He grins a bit, "What brings you to the city of temples?"
Fudou the Mountain "How badly do you want to win?" is Fudou's answer to Misa. "That's really the determining factor, mm? Your hand may be forced depending on the stakes.." He grasps hold of the wall and then hefts himself upwards, suddenly vaulting from the ground level up into the stands with a heavy rumble to his impact as he lands near Misa upon the stone steps. He straightens up once he does so and looks to her with a grin.

"I will be honest. I'm still finding some of this hard to process. Don't take my words for absolutey surety on all of this. Things seem...alright..but with a competition this large and in a place like this.. It can't possibly stay smooth the whole way through no? I'd be on your guard and don't hold yourself back less you get a surprise like what we just witnessed.."

He then turns and thunders, "RAULLAUR! Have you come to win??!" His deep voice booming down towards Raullaur and his new hanger on like a rolling earthquake.

Radiant Heart Princess She would smile. "Business. I just opened up a branch of my company in town. It's still pretty new but it's definetly going to go places." She said proudly. Then she turned towards the voice. "Friend of yours?"
Nine Roads Alani The crowd roars its approval of Amethyst's well-fought victory with especial verve, drowning out the occasional cheers other victors receive due to the spectacular nature of the match. The helping hand up actually earns another cheer as well, a moment that not all winners today are gracious enough in victory to provide.

"She better watch out," Alani murmurs to herself, though she's smiling. "The short stories between those two practically write themselves now." She chuckles a bit to herself, but half turns as she does so, taking another game stab at listening in to Misa and Fudou over the annoying crowd.

Even as she does so, Fudou bellows out to Raullaur, and she turns to look--as does everyone else in that section of the stands. Seeing the lion man and that young lady on his arm draws another smile to the blonde, but not so much that she forgets to listen close!

Amethyst Amethyst basks in the cheering crowd, the fact that she's still glowing like a a miniature sun probably helps. But eventually she does leave the Arena to go see if she can find any of her friends. She's sure there's at least one of them around and she's gonna be pretty obvious for the time being. So she opts to just wander and to keep her eyes and ears peeled.
Raullaur "I'll have to see," Raul answers Radiant, before raising his own voice and pitching it to cut throgh the clamor as though it were a battlefield. "I seek more than glory! Shall I grab here, when I can strive and have armies fall before me? Reshape the lands through my effort? True prizes await for those who will take them!"

He looks back to Radiant, "Yes, a friend. A bit. Toughest...person I know. /Maybe/ tougher than I am." A grin, fangs showing. "What about you, Mountain! Do you want the prize of prizes?"

Fudou the Mountain "You are business as usual, aren't ou Raullaur! Well I can always command people when I want. For right now? I want personal glory gained with my fists and goremaul. I can reshape the land with those quite well!" booms Fudou, lifting his hand up and clenching it as he speaks, producing a sound like boulders splintering as his knuckles crack and his sinew and muscle fiber tenses and swells.

"But we'l have to contend with a certaim fire dragon first, mmm?"

Misa A faint chuckle, again, from Misa as her conversational partner makes the leap (nearly cracking the stands, surely) and begins making a show of his address of the other familiar figure. She pushes herself to her feet, dusting herself off a moment.

"Well, I ought to take care of a few things whilst I wait for my own matches... best of luck riling up the crowd before your next match, Fudou," she says with another light laugh.

She offers a simple nod down to Raullaur and his new companion before engaging in the inverse of Fudou's vault and launching herself down to the ground to make her way out of the structure for the time being.

Amethyst At least it's easy enough to pick Fudou from a crowd. The water dragon makes her way closer to the massive mountain man, her massive anima gradually dimming. And once she catches up to him, she stretches and finds a seat. She looks exhausted. "Hey Fudou, did you see me down there?" She grins widely.
Radiant Heart Princess "Hmmm" She looks at Fudou. "I think you can take him, Raullaur." She said with a bit of a smile. "Though given both of your strength it will probably be a long fight." If he's anything like a Full Moon, kicking ass is as easy as breathing, she thinks to herself.
Raullaur Raullaur grins at the others then. "Maybe we come together late in the rounds, hey? We'll finally see. But whoever wins, it'd be a show for the ages," he says, before nodding back to Radiant. "But for now..." He flicks an ear, "I have been up for almost two days and am about to finally sleep. But I will be back. I will definitely be back.:
Fudou the Mountain "Have you gotten yourself a fan there, Raullaur?" notes Fudou with some amusement as he looks on at Radiant with some surprise. "What a bold statement to make!" He seems amused. Mildly teasing though he studies Radiant with a piercing gaze before turning his attention towards Amethyst as she sits down near him.

"I think all of Great Forks saw -that- Amethyst. Congratulations. You've truly come to win, luv! I'm impressed. You may have terrified the entire arena though but..good!"

Amethyst "They'll all remember me better that way then." Amethyst says matter of factly, chuckling. "To be fair, I didn't really /intend/ on doing that. I just, improvised. I was gonna save that for you."

"Maybe I'll have some cool moniker by the end of this tournament if I keep that up. And I /did/ make sure to show mercy."

"Can't wait to see you out there. See how far you're willin' to go for that sweet, sweet victory."

Then Amethyst directs her attention to Radiant, "I don't believe we've met before. But I think I made a good enough introduction back there in the ring, eh?" She grins a little /too/ widely.

Fudou the Mountain "Amethyst!" tuts Fudou, clucking his tongue against the roof of hss mouth in a chiding tone.

"Now -why- did you tell me that. This is a competition. You pulled out a move you had been saving for -me- on one of your first matches which says to me you were forced to do it.. Now how am I supposed to react to that."

Clearly he sees himself as a more dangeorus opponent then the one she just faced. "You never reveal your whole hand to your potential competition, Amethyst! You're suposed to keep me guessing, not reveal you've developed a technique and then have already used it. Now I am prepared for it!"

His chiding is bemused but he shakes his head at her. "Still thinking we're in the dojo, eh?"

Radiant Heart Princess She would nod to Amethyst. "Yes you did. And it was terrifying. Still, it was a good match." She said with a nervous smile. "I am Radiant Heart Princess. And I certainly am glad I was not on recieving end of your fight."
Amethyst Amethyst just smiles in response to Fudou's disappointment. He /knows/ that look of plotting and planning and calculating. "Do you actually have any idea what I just did?" She produces that fateful mask. "Or what other secrets might be contained beneath this humble mask? Or how many other masks I have?"

"Tell me, what have I really revealed to you?" She leans in closer, standing up to get closer to the giant's face. She's either good at learning these lessons fast or she planned this from the start.

"Nice to meet you Radiant Heart Princess. I'm glad you're up here as well." She then turns back to Fudou.

Fudou the Mountain "Ah now that's more like it. So this mask you have...has more wylo secrets within hmm? Very well. I'll give that to you."

Fudou seems more satisfied by Amethyst answer to him though he adds, "Although that doesn't mean we'll actually face each other. In fact.. it seems that Radiant Heart Princess has placed her bets with Raullaur to take me down. Perhaps I won't get to far out of these early matches after all."

He turns his full attention to Radiant now, taking her in visually as he looks her over and seeming, still, amused as opposed to insulted or riled up.

"It's not a bad pick, luv, I suppose.." his voice trails off, tone quite clearly indicating that no..he doesn't think the outcome she predicts could happen. But he adds, "That is..-if- he follows through on fighting. Raullaur's attention is split on many matters but I suppose I leave that to him to deal with. There's many warriors here."

Radiant Heart Princess "I'm just making a prediction based on observation. It's not like I can see the future. Just making guess based on deductive reasoning." She said scratching the back of her head. "Besides It would make business so much easier if I could predict business trends with perfect accuracy." She said with a smirk
Amethyst "Raullar couldn't even take /me/ down how's he gonna deal with you?" Amethyst asks Fudou, "I'd bet on you being the victor between those two. But I guess only time will tell."

"Put some money on me and Fudou here." Amethyst grins at Radiant, "You saw what I could do today, and this guy didn't just beat me the last time we fought he handed me my ass on a platter."

Fudou the Mountain "Deductive reasoningZ"

This causes Fudou to actually grow curious now. He turns his full attention to Radiant and folds his arms as he arcs an eyebrow. "What sort of deductive reasoning leads you to assume by obseveration alone that Raullaur can defeat me?"

He inclines his head slightl as he studies her, "I am curious. What exactly is yoru business?"

Fudou shrugs helplessly as he hears Amethyst, "Well..as I said..strange things can happen. Did youe xpect to fight music itself?"

Radiant Heart Princess "Okay less deductive reasoning and more gut feeling. Then again I've not seen you spar so I could also be mistaken." She said with a laugh. "As for what I do. I run a trading company, Moonlit Palace. We do a bit of everything. Buying and selling products from small crafters. Jewlery made in house. We're also trying to branch out into blacksmithing "
Amethyst "If you could use an alchemist, you should swing by my shop sometime after the tournament's over. I assure you that you won't find many finer alchemists than myself." Amethyst grins.

"And no I was not expecting to fight music." Amethyst tells Fudou. "That was not part of my plan. I improvised well enough though." She stretches, "In any event, I think I'm gonna go grab some concessions and go see how Pearls is doing. You two take care." And just like that she's wandering off.

Fudou the Mountain "I'm afraid I must bid you farewell as well." says Fudou after watching Amethyst wander off. He looks bemused at Radiant.. Grinning at her slowly once more, "May your 'hunches' pay off, luv." he gives her a slight wave with his massive fingers and then vaults over the walls of the stands to drop thunderously to the ground below. He then begins walking off, heavy foot steps uuaking the ground as he moves off.
