Fudou the Mountain The Congregation of VIctory is in full swing. The opening ceremonies have come and gone and match after match, scattered throughout the massive arena in smaller rings and elevated platforms, have begun the process of weeding out the less talented from the truly spectacular. THere are -alot- of combatants..and given the spectacle of he previous evening, many of them are quite colorful with wild abilties, martial art schools and other assorted esoteric qualities about them which riles the crowds up and draws attention from mortals and supernatural beings alike. Indeed, the other evening saw music itself used as a divine weapon against the flaming will of a dragonblood gifted who also revealed a more capricious side..one that unsettled the audience at the sight of it even if they knew not they were witnessing the magic of the wyld. Any descriptions of the fighters would make it clear Amethyst was one of them and she's but one of a number of visual stand outs.

The other is Fudou the Mountain. To date, another competitor of his stature and bulk has yet to reveal themselves and as such he stands head and shoulders aboce the competition physically with his comings and goings accompanied by the earth itself groaning and shaking from his footfalls and his outfit a mixture of his usual torn garments, shin guards and sandles, rope belts, trunks and jewelry adorning his frame exposing as much of his body as possible while maintaining modest and minor practicality. Weapons have not pierced his flesh and his blows have sent foes hurtling skywards or across rings. Sometimes ending matches with single strikes after letting them flail at him as he stands there. It's all in the name of performance you see.

For now he boredly watches more matches from the training yards of the arena. A gigantic set of weights as large as some wagons wth a thick metal bar betwene them is nearby and watchers look to him even as he watches the fights, seeing if he'll attempt to lift the monstrous equipment.

Tiziri Tiziri has seen a lot of the matches. More than any other, honestly. Somehow. Probably because her 'sisters' are there right now. Unfair advantage, but a darned good way to study anything she can about things. To take in the interesting even if she isn't yet aware of most of what has happened for reasons... Tiziri ends up walking up towards Fudou looking tired, still carrying a wine jar of course - she does like her wine - but honestly she looks a bit tired for some reason! (Probably the fact there's at least 4 other Tiziris watching things! But who would know!?)

"It goes well for you." Comes a voice that might just be familiar, the speaker taking a draught from the large wine jar she is carring before holding it out towards Fudou. "Refreshment?" She wonders, "Or saving all potential challenges to your wits for the celebration at the end?" Her head tilts to the side in that almost avian sort of way.

Fudou the Mountain "The celebratio is a ways off." Fudou's deep voice rumbles to her as his back remains turned due to him eyeing a match some distance off. Studying the fighter. Perhaps someone caught his eye.

Or not. His turn is dismissive a. Whatever thought he had about what he was seeing now dismissed as his body swivels in place to slowly face Tiziri..and he looks on with open surprise at her.

"Maybe you 're hitting this a little -too- hard." He rumbles while reaching down to pluck hte offered drink up between two meaty fingers.

"What's the matter? Why so tired and haggard looking?" He shakes the jug, tesing how much is in it before handing it back towards her without taking a drink. "I dont' want to empty this in one gulp." he notes while grinning. "Also I am surprised you are here. I thought you had no interest in this spectacle!"

Tiziri The drink seems to be about half full it feels. "There's a lot to watch, and I don't want to miss a thing." She pauses a moment there, and Tiziri's impish smile grows all the moreso. "And so I don't." She covers her mouth and giggles. "It does take effort to be many places at once. Eventually, it pays off though." That cheshire grin doesn't fade for even a moment. She ends up swigging at the drink again then.

"I never said I had no interest in the spectacle. I said I had no interest in being a part of it. I always preferred to watch, and learn. To see. Much easier to learn this way." Tiziri explains matter of factly. "With this I can learn more than I ever expected, without too much discomfor at that."

Fudou the Mountain The ground shakes as Fudou reaches over and grasps the barbell with both hands. Fissures actually form as he hefts it up and eyes in the training yard lock onto him as his bulk aidn sinew pile muscle ontop of muscle as he hefts the weight upwards and upwards. The sunlight glints off of his glasses, hiding his eyes though his mouth sets into a look of mild effort. Nevermind that he could seemingly be lifting an elephant right now.

"Well then you no doubt saw our friend Amethyst claim her first win over what was either an exigent or some strange martial art or perhaps both." he notes with a slowly growing grin. "It was fairly spectacular. Quite the fireworks and show of force!"

THe metal suddenly bends, giving way under the giants pressure as he begins twisting it and and then compressing it violently. There are sounds of stone grinding and metal whining as he forces the vast weights together and begins bunching it up in a horrifying display of brute strength - while casually talking.

"I suppose I'm going to have to figure out how to wow the crowd myself now..."

Tiziri Tiziri nods to that, "I did. I was there indeed. Very interesting." The blue haired waif of a a woman says. So much an opposite of Fudou in that respect it is probably strange to see. She even watches the whole display of strength in such a way as to show a mild degree of being impressed, but not surprise by any means.

"In my opinion, the most impressive is to win with the least flash in something like this. Make it look easy. Others will be going so all out they'll have to be impressive. If you can do it without seeming to try too much? You'll shock the world even more." That cheshire grin has an almost darker air to it at that. "Reveal as little as possible. It will make them wonder."

Fudou the Mountain "You are -right-. That's what I've been doing so far!"

Fudou turns, holding the massive weight in one hand now as if he were carrying a platter of food and grinning.

"Why do you think I hang out here doing this? This is all part of the 'show'. There's a lot of eyes here. So why not let a mysterious but legendary exigent of some god of strength and size and power show his qualities..boredly. You should have seen my match against an arrogant bruiser.. He'd overdone it but qualied when he faced me...so I let him take a few swings and then popped him up and down with a blow. Calculated acting."

He grins, bringing tangled up mass infront of him now and squeezing more. His muscles bunch up even larger, ever larger. It could be nightmarish given how huge he is but there is an odd magnetic pull there. Like an impressive beast of burden at work, keeping him from being just some roided out buck ogre.

"I look good." he says, eyebrows waggling but then he relents-

"Of course..even this is all a show. I"m not an idiot. This could be..quite dangerous but..I'm just trying to keep them on their toes.."

Tiziri Tiziri nods thoughtfully. Then she ends up saying, "The further in, the more likely you are going to run into someone who might have a very real level of power to match your own, it's true." Tiziri states. "Of course I think you know that as well, so that's something. If you didn't, you do now." She seems pretty confident in that assertion too.

Looking towards the sky a moment the young woman says, "Frankly, I'm going to be as much impressed by those who haven't taken part that I know could. But we'll see in the end how that shakes out too." Looking back down she goes on, "So, are there any you are at least mildly c... no, that's the wrong tact. Rather, any you are particularly looking forward to facing in combat?"

Fudou the Mountain "If Amethyst match is any indication..anything can happen. She was..forced..to use a technique she claimed she was saving for me. SHe's always trying to..I don't know..forcibly improve herself. Is that the right way to look at it? She feels..well..her associates are all...well..mostly..you know what. So she's always had this drive to be competitive.. Anyway I know that as this weeks out the weak and the strong..more like those matches will become clear."

Fudou finally drops the massive weight to the ground. His body is fully pumped and monstrous now. Muscles bunching with the impression of tectonic plates crushing together. It's a sight that seems to have done the trick. Onlookers are either over awed, troubled or entranced or some combo of all three. Seems he's got this down.

"What do you mean by impressed with them not participating? As to the other question..I don't know. In fact--."

Fudou's voice trails off as if he's getting an idea...

Tiziri "There are things I know." Tiziri says. "Those I might know, who I suspect, or already understand a fraction of their skill." Tiziri explains. "If they aren't participating, what might that imply?" She is holding a finger up by her head, pointing towards the sky in a profound sort of fashion. "They'll be the ones of interest, because I won't know as much about them after this. Because they're the ones with skills or secrets that cannot be hidden, much like my own."
Fudou the Mountain "You know you could just ask me. I've been here longer then you and I have a pulse on most of 'them'." remarks Fudou with a coy grin, as if relishign in possibly having one up over someone for whom finding out secrets is clearly a passion.

"Buuuuut..maybe it will be fun for you to just find out on your own yes?"

He steps away from the crater left by the weight drop and reaches for a towel to begin to wipe away gathered sweat and dust on his gigantic form.

"You can do this though. Why don't you find out, for me, any stand out fighters that seem to catch your eye. Look for any that may be similar to myself in stature, strength. Surely -soemone- is out there. If not..well..I will value my uniqueness. But there are other threats as well besides fellow scions of strength and brawn. If your eyes are everywhere..what might you learn?"

Tiziri Tiziri nods to that, before she says. "I feel like your threat will not be one like you, but rather the one who you are most likely to underestimate. Most unlike you." Tiziri says. "One that seems altogether too weak, small, perhaps exceptionally quick, or perhaps something weird such as the music you mentioned. A thing you are not used to fighting, or that takes the fight in a strange way." She sounds like she is philosophizing right now.

"I don't know what shape that will be yet, especially if they're one that is able to hide their talents until the end. That's when it gets truly interesting." She shrugs after that, before adding, "I could ask you about the rest too. But that's not as fun. And perhaps some of them are as secretivive or more than I am, wishing to keep it their own?"

Fudou the Mountain "Well I should clarify..I may act the buffon and the bruiser and teh brigand but you should knwo the spark of luna well enough to know that is who I present to you.."

Fudou grins slowly, gesturing at Tiziri with a single pointed finger, "Once matters isolate themselves out of these early matches..asid efrom surprises..you will find me hard pressed to understimate anyone -willing- to get into a match with me. Especially after I have have worked an aura of intimidation and fear into the competition. I am not without wit. That being said..,If I find an opponent of equal brawn it is because I -want- to test my strength. If I'm the strongest man in the East..I'd like to know that!"

He looks away now and rubs his jaw, "Plus...some of this is in thoguht to our 'trip'. I'd like to be able to impress our potential host." his words fade there and he then grins, looking back to her. "Yes you see? Fun." rumbles Fudou, "That is your fun. Mine is contests of brawn and brutality. But I recognize I wouldn't be special if there were many of me, no?"

Tiziri Tiziri says, "Being challenged is part and parcel. Indeed." Tiziri says. "I hope you find the right challenge, and overcome it." She adds, firmly. "Just as you should know I don't miss those things, I know what we are. I know our history better than most. I know our foes, and our potential foes - I hope. All the more reason to know more, to know ourselves and them. That makes this fun."

She stretches then, "So yes, we shall find it, and overcome. Impress. In our own ways. Let us find these strange foes, so we can learn about them too, and be even more well prepared to tackle them in the future.""

Fudou the Mountain "Yes, yes."

Fudou doesn't intend to sound mildly testy but he does. Perhaps the anxiousness of the competition -is- getting to him despite his bravado. "I know this and I know you know this. Knowledge is power. I leave this to you.."

He pauses and then asks more directly and with a hint of eagerness, "So you will do this for me then? Investigate and bring me information on the fighters of note? I can think of none other better equipped to do this..."

Tiziri "It is possible, yes." Tiziri agrees. "Though a bit more complicated than it might appear. Much of what I'll learn won't be apparent until after it is done, and many can become one. I do not share the senses of my sisters until we are once more together and one, and it is no mean feat to become many again, I forsee a lot of rest in the future." She smiles weirdly, "Or do I?" She giggles, an uplilting one. "Either way, I shall see what insights I can pass on. Especially about the weird and new to us. As you say, you know many of our kind, and our allies. It is the rest we must be most wary about."
Fudou the Mountain "I don't pretend to understand this gift you've uncovered. I believe what you say ...so be it then. Just do what you can then. I was thinking if you see a match and a fighter of note or hear of something...just let me know. If there are limitations there then very well. I trust you."

Fudou is matter of fact in that and seems satisfied. He finally tosses the towel away into a nearby pile.

"Now I -will- go drink. A lot." he decides. "..Perhaps find more entertainment then that, mm?" He grins, eyebrows lifting, implying less then family friendly thinking, no doubt.

Tiziri "I am aware of a Martial Art that embraces drunkeness." Tiziri states. "I am not privy to its secrets, but such is a thing. One of those weird eccentricities that exist out there in Creation. It's pretty fascinating I think! Perhaps not for me. I do enjoy being a bit drunk, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy focusing it like that." She shrugs then. "Of course, perhaps I would? Who knows?" She grins. "After all, we have a lot of time to find out if we don't mess up."

With that she takes another swig and says, "Best of luck, I hope you find some fun and release, and then go into your next match extra envigorated to move onwards." She takes a deep breath, "As for me? I should probably get to finding another match to learn about. There is so much to study here, it's more intoxicating than this wine."

Fudou the Mountain "Don't get too wound up now." notes Fudou with a final eyebrow arc, "You might find yourself too much fun. For now, farewell. I go to find this 'release'."

He lets off a runbling chuckle and begins to step away. The ground rumbles and continues to do so long after he's out of sight.
