Fudou the Mountain Great Forks doesn't need much of ane excuse to have a street party, especially in the Temple District. It's called Decadence for a reason, after all. All manner of affairs take place here. A colorful litany of fireworks, dances, displays of food, music, worship and wealth.

So when there's a city wide -event- in town on top of all of that..you can imagine just how wild things can get. Taverns and tea houses overflow. Brothels and gambling halls are filled to the brim and then some and then some more. Passions and tempers run high, the music swells and dances and fire lit lamps fill the streets. All in all - quite the display especially for the many, many tourists that are making their way through the city.

And above it all, perched on a large wall framing a particularly expansive temple, sits Fudou. The immense lunar actually dangling his legs for once, given how high up he is due to the particulars of this temple. Likely it's dedicated to a major regional deity but Fudou uses his vantage point to study the streets below, leaning over slightly with his elbows resting on his knees as the light of lamps and fireworks reflect in his glasses.

Tiziri Tiziri is definitely one to watch such events! She's even managed to get a fancy outfit to match the local fashions for such events - though it does have a blue, orange, and silver color scheme she seems to love. Even better, this is the sort of event there's lots of great street foods! And so it is, Tiziri has a bamboo stick with some meat on it that she's taking a bite out of as she walks along and then pauses to look over one of the dances going on - a rather fantastic fire dance with lots of whirling and such.
Fudou the Mountain Well now, look at that.

Fudou's gaze is drawn towards Tiziri, isolating her with a preternatural gaze that sharply defines her out of the rest of the crowds.

He leans up slightly, disturbing stone and pebbles from his perch before he abruptly slips forward and drops down while using a massive hand to brace himself against the temple wall as he descends a good story and a half.

His impact is rounding, legs bulging and joints huge as they bend and support his tremendous weight and send a rumble out through the ground and those nearest to him.

"The Mountain arrives!" declares one party goer, recognizing the goliath from both arena exploits and just..by the fact that he's him.

More of the party goers begin reacting, throwing wreathes of flowers or stalks of greenery or colorful sashes his way. Some draping over his gigantic frame and others falling by the wayside. Probably three or four different festivals there.

"Yes, yes, yes." he rumbles while waving them off and turning to try and move in Tiziri's direction.

Tiziri The short young woman with the blue hair seems unsurprised by the arrival of the giant. Others might have at the landing, the boom, but her? About the only surprise is a bit of eye rolling as the fire dancers end up missing a beat here and there - though at least without getting hurt. She looks over towards the giant now and regards him with a head tilted slightly to the side. "Joining the party too?" Tiziri inquires, then takes a bite off her meat on a stick.
Fudou the Mountain "Me? What about you! You didn't strike me as a party girl."

Fudou's voice is amused. Not chiding. He seems, pleased actually..looking on Tiziri with a bit of clear surprise as he rumbles, "You remain a ..ah...collection of mystery to me. Reserved and yet one for street festivals. Restrained and yet bold. Hmm.."

As he passes by a street vendor with a plate full of cooked and seasoned meat he reaches down and grabs a wooden stick with a collection of large pieces staked upon it.

"Are you getting into the spirit of things?"

Tiziri "Now, you seem to have forgotten my sobriquet." Tiziri says in a matter of fact sort of tone, holding up her free finger in a pointing upwards. "Ardent Vagabond. The fact I love the journey, traveling. This is the sort of thing I love to watch, experiencing a place's greatness." She looks over towards the fire dancers again for a moment and adds, "Of course, I'm more of the wander, try the food, see the sights, and drink the drinks sort than partaking in the more boisterous elements of these sorts of situations."
Fudou the Mountain "Indeed, I did forget..." confirms Fudou after he flicks some money in the direction of the, at first startled, but then very pleased vendor.

He draws enough eyes to him but he seems comfortable as he waves the stick of meat around..gesturing absently with it. "..And that is my fault, luv. It's not my intention to judge or misjudge. To be fair, I was enjoying myself just watching as well. But it is making me think that I should revert back to my more chaotic and spontanous ways. A little cavorting wouldn't hurt from time to time."

Tiziri "Hey, watching is part of the fun sometimes too. But I find being down amongst the people is the best way to really get the feel. The best way to smell, hear, experience it all. It's wonderful. The real way to experience the soul of a city, as it were." Tiziri laughs a bit then, "Of course some cities, like this one, seem to be a lot more complicated and really, multi-souled, than most." She shrugs a bit and takes another bite. "But anyways, this fire dancing is always wonderful to watch. I love the way the light traces like that."
Tepet Makara Even Greyfall's luxuries pale in comparison with Great Forks as Makara finds it more lively than watching his Cynis satrap indulge herself in narcotics. He arrives after being particularly busy in the Hundred Kingdoms for practices that would make a demon summoning sorcerer look innocent.

He is dressed in his kimono rather than being clad in his "Shogunate era" armor. The false dragon then orders barbecued meats as he was starving from all that flying while looking around and see if there is someone he recognizes in the streets of Great Forks

Fudou the Mountain "Look."

What does he spy with his little eye. "It is our wayward friend."

Fudou's smile is rueful but still genuine as he points out Makara in the distance. Now he, himself, stands out if Makara were but to look his way but iwth so much to take in one would forgive him for missing even the likes of Fudou. The sharpe eyed giant is a touch more focused though.

"I last saw him in the Hundred Kingdoms..." His voice fades in thought for a moment before adding, "...He does indeed have a talent for necromancy.."

Tiziri "It has been a while since I spoke with him too." Tiziri admits. "Though yes, I was pretty sure about that too." She adds completely non-chalantly. "A tool is a tool. Though that is probably a word you should keep more quiet than even Sorcery." Another quick bite before she says, "Let's go see how he's been, like I said, it's been a while and I imagine it will be pretty interesting." She doesn't wait either, starting to head in that direction.
Tepet Makara Despite him being raised as a dynast with strict etiquette, Makara devours the barbeque he ordered like a tyrant lizard devouring the flesh of their slain prey. Awkwardly, he then notices two familiar figures among the crowd.

"Oh its Tiziri and Fudou" He awkwardly gulps once he sees his fellow Lunars especially since one of them saw him doing necromancy in the Hundred Kingdoms. "I have been busy with Greyfalls recently hence why I haven't gone to Great Forks...besides uh something that Fudou knows"

Fudou the Mountain "Don't be so akward." chides Fudou as he comes up behind TIziri and puts his hands on his hips. He makes an absent gesture with his other arm, waving the stick of food about before indicating TIziri.

"She was trained by the Queen of Fangs, remember? You think a little -grave digging- is going to make her blanche? Besides, she was there when we heard about your run in with that Necromancer."

Fudou tears at the meat in his possession and then grins after gulping it down.

"Toughen up now! Remember our discussion, yes?"

The subject matter seems to not be one of secrecy as far as he's concerned but then again given the chaos of the crowd and movements he figures they have some leeway.

Tiziri "Exactly." Tiziri agrees, head tilting to the side in her typical way. "I second that. Caution is useful, after all, I am counseling such over and over. Yet there is a difference between caution and overcaution. Besides, you are a Dynast, act like one." Given they are in the midsts of a crowd, that might have been wise to begin with! People can overhear. "So what brings you here? Just the festival?"
Tepet Makara "Well what brings me here is the usual such as the festivities and the food. I also sometimes visits Pearl for dynast reasons since let's just say, my martial arts master is related to her" He then takes note of the overcaution. "Oh right, sorry about that. I'm usually paranoid when it comes to the topic of necromancy. Besides well the Mask, I hear Great Fork's relations with a certain deathly state called Sijan isn't that great"

He comments but seeing as the crowd drowns out the conversation, he decides to divulge his affairs. "I recently know the spell on how to summon ghosts. I haven't tried it yet although I may test it someday"

Fudou the Mountain People can indeed overhear but it's like attempting to focus on the conversation of strangers during a concert. A dedicated effort of eavesdropping would be needed and Fudou's eyes are sharp and ears sharper even if his countenance would imply some carelessness here.

But he does give a quick glance around as Makara speaks. They have their space mind you but it still bears some careful observation. NOthing he can do about sorcery or charms eavesdropping but..hey..you only live once. Sort of.

"A 'test'.." he muses, clearly finding thought distasteful before noting, "Best leave them to their rest or send them on their way yes? Or are you planning to fight 'fire' with 'fire'.." He finishes off his food and gestures with the stick at Makara, "I thought you were planning on going to the Caul?"

Tiziri Tiziri has an enigmatic, almost michievious smile on her face. Nodding. "Either way, you got here at a good time. Both this festival, and the tournaments. Quite a good time to be here." She finishes off her stick of meat then too, before she goes on as well. "Use the tools at your disposal. Fight the enemies with all you are worth." She looks around a moment before getting a sulky look and grumbling. "Seriously? Wine sellers everywhere until I'm ready for some." She shrugs and seemingly without missing a beat goes on, "I do remember hearing about the Caul. Potentially a large group too, yes?"
Tepet Makara "I may summon ghosts but I do not intend to enslave their wills to me. Mostly since I prefer true loyalty rather than commanding brainwashed servants" He then shifts topics to the Caul. "Well not yet since I still wonder who might be interested in joining"

"If I have to go, I'll be careful when traversing the lands. Unlike the East, there is an open holy war between Immaculates and Lunars under a shahanya known as the Black Lion. I was actually assigned there at the Realm city of Faxai. But I was reassigned to the East thanks to my mentor, since he finds it too risky for me being there"

"The main reason why I plan to go there is to see why it's both holy to our kind and the dragons. Maybe there is a connection waiting to be discovered there"
Fudou the Mountain "Well again this isn't a field trip is it?" questions Fudou, "Much like taking our friend to visit the Queen of Fangs there is a reason to go related to someones needs who are allies with and whom we have a reason to assist. Not just to tag along to see the sights. Do you need -help- returning to the Caul? Why are you wanting to go?"

He pauses and then chuckles and says, "You know..I'm in more 'danger' then you, going to Mahalanka..."

Tiziri "It is a place that I'm curious about," Tiziri says. "But I know from my Mistress that the war there is... complicated, and brutal. Further, I doubt it is likely to change anytime soon, there's some powerful warriors on both sides present, and it isn't changing." Tiziri again has a darkly enigmatic smile on her face. "When I go, I fully intend to be capable of helping if need be, not just as a minor player either. If I am there, I wish to help shake the foundations. The war there is open, like you've said. So? I'd like to see it end." She is holding her hand out open, just below her face, but as she concludes that she clenches it in a fist.

Then she flippantly shrugs, "But that's for the future. I've many wanderings for the time being. There's still something about the ruins in this area that calls to me, and I'm still perplexed by that."

Tepet Makara "Of course it's not a mere field trip. Besides the reasons I explained, I was wondering if the connection can help mend relations between dragonblooded and lunars even if it seems irrepairable. Even if it's impossible at first, some individuals have shown they can see past the Immaculate teachings and the age long grudges held by our kind like Amethyst. Gods, I sound idealistic and naive" Even if it seems naive at first, he hopes to find that probable connection in the Caul.

"Even before I was exalted, all I ever heard are stories of the dragons and moon chosen battling each other. After my exaltation and temporary assignment to the Caul, I wonder if there was a time before the Usurpation where there was some sort of bond between the children of the Moon and Dragons"

Fudou the Mountain "We've discussed this before. It would take nothing less then a miracle." says Fudou, tone even and perhaps attempting to hide his own emotions on the matter as he attempts to state what he sees as facts.

"The Black Lion seeks to destroy them in the Caul. The Silver Pact was literally schismed at one point over how to deal with The Realm and now some of the leaders aren't even -speaking- to each other any more. Vengeance and blood is still strong. The ancient betrayals, years of war and being hunted. There's too much bad blood that a few friendships here and there can't mend..."

Tiziri "I agree with Fudou. Lofty though it is, I expect it will take blood. And as I said, if I'm there, I intend to finally unveil myself as a new Nightmare and help win it once and for all. I too wish to take the Pilgrimage, to see what happens!" But then, Tiziri seems to catch a glimpse of something in the distance. Then says, "I must be off. There's something I must attend to." She states suddenly. "It was nice to see you both, and good luck in your next match, Fudou." She chimes. Before she folds her hands in her sleeves and starts to hurriedly head off into the crowd, gracefully dodging through the throngs and soon enough disappearing.
