Black Pearl The Chateau is running as always, sometimes busier, somtimes less, depending on how many people are drawn by the tournament, or drawn to it. Black Pearl has been splitting her time between the arena and her business, but as tonight is one of the slow nights, everyone is relaxing, resting. Pearl herself is concentrating, and slowly making patterns of scales on her body of different colors, letting them fade, only to shift to new ones. Spirals of vivid red give way to jagged marks of deep green, only to be washed away in soft purple, and finally to fade entirely. Only to start again!
Amethyst Amethyst finds herself away from the arena, heading towards the Chateau to relax and think over all the things that's been bouncing around in her head lately, trying to come to grips with what /exactly/ she wants to do. As she passes into the private areas of the Chateau, she lets her human disguise melt away into her scales and wings and tail, looking more like the dragons she so admires.

She grins as she joins Pearls, "Hey love, getting some relaxation 'way from the arena too?" Of course she already knew Pearl was here, thanks to their soul link and all of that.

Black Pearl Black Pearl looks up and smiles. "Hello, and yes. If I were at the Arena, it would be work, work, work, listening to all of the gossip, spreading some of my own, seeing and being seen. Here, I can just relax." She smiles and stands up before coming over to tease along Amethyst's ears. "I am very glad to see you!"
Amethyst The smaller dragon giggles and leans into Pearls, gently curling her tail around one of her legs. "It's very good to see you too. How're you doing, with everything? Decided on whether or not you wanna try to become a sorceress like me~?" She gently brushes her hand along some of Pearl's ever-so-delicate scales.
Black Pearl Black Pearl shakes her head. "No...I think I will continue my studies of the arts of veiled death, of being social, and learn to spread stability, not just instability." She smiles and wraps her arms closely. "I wish I could let my shape flow like yours does. Or I could use the veil as that Raksha did! But sorcerous might...I am willing to cede to you." A bright smile, then.
Amethyst "I'm sure we could find her again if you wanted." Amethyst suggests, "Maybe she could teach you something. As for shapeshifting?" She considers, "...I'm not sure. I just sort of woke up one day and suddenly I could remember how to use the powers of my heritage. I've been having all sorts of crazy dreams about the wyld and sorcery and magics I can barely remember."
Black Pearl "I thought it was the pool that awakened things? Well, we shall see. Is that what you want? To focus on sorcery? To change always at a whim?" Salara grins. "As for the raksha...It would be dangerous, but it would be something just for me. Not for you, or for Rishi. Not for family or House. It feels...strange, to be honest."
Amethyst "How could have I forgotten about the pool?" Amethyst giggles, rubbing her head, "My so much has happened to me it's hard to keep track of it all. And, well, actually, I had a new ambition."

"You know those born of House Peleps are basically all sailors of some notability, yeah? I think it's about time I claim that bit of my family's legacy and get a ship of my own. Make it into a place to do business and a workshop that can travel up and down the rivers and maybe even further beyond. A great asset if I want to spread my trade to the other cities in the scavenger lands. Just imagine expanding our business to Nexus or maybe even Lookshy." There's this ambitious look on her face, a determined one.

"And you helped me out enough that I'd be glad to accompany you back to the wyld, and I'm sure my mother would come with us if you'd like her to. And we could find this Raksha and, as you said, do something, for you, and you alone."

Black Pearl Salara smiles. "It sounds very interesting! Though I am not cure that I could run other Chateaus...I would have to have trusted subordinates run them and just drop in from time to time. But...I like the personal touch. And to be at the center of things like a spider in a web..."

She sighs, "But being together can be more important. I would miss you when gone. But I would love to greet you when you returned!" She laughs brightly. "As for going back...it would be amazing to try. I don't want to pull you or Rishi if you don't want to go. But if I go, I suspect I will find myself fully...or lose myself entirely. Is it worth such danger? To pit myself against such peril merely because /I/ want something?"

Amethyst Amethyst is quiet for a time, "Just do it with your loves by your side." She concludes, "If you need to seek the wyld to find yourself, then I'll stand beside you to help you with whatever perils we encounter. And Rishi will be there to help you if the wyld proves to be too much for either of us."

"As for expansion? Let's coordinate with Silk. Imagine combining your spy network with hers as we stretch our influence across the scavenger lands. And I'm sure we can find those we can trust to run things in our stead. All while we sail up and down, keeping close wherever the excitement may be." There's this wide grin.

Black Pearl "Very well. There is more that I want, but it is not, /can/ not be just for myself. But that will be later," Salara says with a smile. "And yes, dealing with Silk...I wonder how much of the Eye I can turn..." She chuckles.

"How is the tournament? Anything interesting happening in the fights or out of them?"

Amethyst "It all depends on how much of the Eye is personally loyal to you." Amethyst says, "And how many you can coerce or bribe, yes? I think I've been learning something from you."

"As far the fights? Heh, well, I ran into some very interesting individuals, including the one who managed to best that earth dragon. She actually does seem to just be a particularly talented mortal, surprisingly enough." Amethyst says, "It'll be interesting if we ever encounter each other in the ring, as she must be a master at her chosen art. Like the sort who train those who go to the Cloister of Wisdom."

Black Pearl "Indeed! I should meet this person as well and see if there are masks that I can see through. And hopefully keep mine own opaque." Pearl nods thoughtfully. "I am glad I am not in the ring. I would be graceful, likely lose...but would my opponent survive the week?" She shakes her head. "I still look forward to your next round!"
Amethyst "Also, and more interestingly, we found evidence of someone evesdropping in the private booths of the Arena. And by we I mean Bright. Haven't gotten a chance to follow up yet. But, I feel like an infiltration is definitely an order to find whoever or whatever is spying. Makes me wonder just who are these people who setup the tournament, and why." Amethyst says.
Black Pearl There is a blink, and Salara's focus sharpens. No longer simply relaxed. "Well, that is certainly something I can look in to. If I can find Silk, we might work together. Otherwise, whatever I can find." She smirks. "I've been spying of course, but I am cheating by asking informants!"
Amethyst Amethyst looks at Salara, and focuses. Shedding her clothes like they were but illusion, her scales turn translucent and the essence of water bubbles up around her as she just seems to /vanish/ before Pearl's eyes. "I think I should investigate too." She says, from behind her! One can faintly make out her outline, but only faintly. "Perhaps all three of us should. You could carefully work the scene above, find the rumors and the lies, while me and Silk find our way through the more... private offices."
Black Pearl Black Pearl looks surprised a moment and delighted. Her own form starts to fade as well, and she starts to reach out, before recoiling and stepping back. "Certainly a possibility! But yes, we will search both people and places. You might be better trying to use sorcery and find things that way? Or we can go together!"
Amethyst "If we can find the device used to spy on folks I can pretty easily do some sorcerous investigation with it." Amethyst says, nodding. "But we gotta actually locate it. Not much good searching with occult senses if you know not where to search."

"Let's meet back up after our investigation, discuss what we all found, and see if we can put together what's really goin' on here."

Black Pearl Pearl nods. "That sounds like a plan," the watery water caste says. "And if business is over...I could use togetherness. And I can slip back to flesh rather than water. I remember you didn't want to have us both do that at the same time..."
Amethyst Amethyst just simply steps out from her cloak and it vanishes around her. It seems it's some matter of illusory water magic. And then she just /leaps/ into Pearl's arms. "let's rest for now." she giggles
Black Pearl Pearl relaxes then and wraps arms as she becomes solid again. Scales come back out visibly as she embraces and holds. "Yes. Being still. Resting and just being together. Important..." She carries the smaller dragon to a couch to settle in. "Thank you. For everything."
Amethyst Amethyst snuggles, resting on her love, "Yeah. It's... been a lot lately. It's good to just... relax for once."
