Lin It's late afternoon. Many of the noisier, smellier businesses like Lin's will be closing soon to allow the night life to thrive. But for the moment, Lin's still hard at work at her forge, a whirl of motion. She has stacked up a huge collection of rusty and broken metal junk - cauldrons and pails, swords and knives, and - in clear view of the door - is using some kind of magic to break them down into recycled ingots. The air is blurry as she gestures, bringing loads of junk to just above a ceramic crucible, before she blows on the mess, unleashing golden flame breath, and it instantly superheats. After the floating glob of metal bubbles and broils, black and charred gunk rises to its surface and gets blown into a pile of charred ashes and nasty-looking scale, then another gesture sends the glob into the ceramic cast. She's easily churning out a dozen ingots a minute at this rate. Some are iron, some are copper, some tin. There's even a few which are gold or silver, all stacked up against the wall...
Tepet Makara Meanwhile Makara enters the shop, albeit still seething from that experience back at the arena while with some irritation at what his legionnaires did. "I can't believe all the javelins were lost because they just had to throw it in a flowing river" He mutters as he enters the shop, still clad in his "black jade Shogunate era armor as he heads for the counter.
Lin Lin, hearing the bell jingle at the door opening, sets down what she's doing... and turns around to look at her potential customer. The redhead's blue eyes fix hard on him with a flicker of recognition. She rushes over to the counter and plants both hands on it. "Hey, welcome to my workshop! You... look a bit familiar. If I'm not mistaken, weren't you looking to find some Moonsilver in town...?"
Tepet Makara "Yeah....and I can't believe I revealed myself as a Lunar in public but thankfully no mortal was observing us. But I'm sort of better at hiding my true exaltation now. I mostly want to find moonsilver so I can create or commission a weapon of my own, but mixed with some jade to prevent my true nature from being revealed" He says with clear embarrassment in his voice as he is not exactly the most subtle of Luna's chosen "I mostly want to order javelins....my legionnaires lost the ones used for practice in a river. "
Lin Revealed as a Lunar? Lin's face screws up briefly and it's like a jolt runs through her, she's staring incredulously at Makara for a few brief seconds... all in all doing an utterly terrible job of hiding her shock.

Because Lin had been too busy working on the road repairs to catch any of that. Nevertheless, she cracks an anxious grin in response. "O-okay, not quite how business here usually goes, but I don't judge. This city accepts all kinds. Even weirdos like me."

She does nod though, and gestures around at the showroom. "Plenty of other things here if you're lookin' for weapons. About how many javelins we talking about? Dozens? Hundreds?"

Tepet Makara "Oh....I thought you already know from the last meeting but since it was a long time ago, it's understandable. I sometimes wished I exalted as a dragonblooded so I wouldn't have to worry about the Wyld Hunts." There is a crack in his High Realm accent as his princely voice temporarily turns into something bestial whenever he compares himself to dragonblooded with a hint of jealousy, but then he composes himself.

"Maybe a dozen of them. Originally I was going to buy 10 but they may loose it again." Then he asks another inquiry. "Since I'm not a miner or an expert on those things, where is moonsilver usually found?

Lin "Far from here, I'm afraid." Lin announcs with an exasperated huff. "Surprised you're asking me that and not your fellow Chosen. Moonsilver deposits slowly accumulate at the edges of Creation... WAY out there at the edge. Not necessarily bordermarches, but close to 'em. It builds where little eddies of the Wyld can lap over places where one kind of geography suddenly gives way to another. Like riverbanks and lake shores, deep chasms, cliff sides... caves. Or at least, that's what the books on the topic I've found talk about. You might be able to find some Moonsilver on the market but it's not gonna be sold on the streets... that's gonna require knowing the right people. Or a lot of money and an honest guildsman." She makes a scoff noise at her own mention of the Guild.

"Awright, dozen javelins, lessee..." She begins to scan over her own shelves.... and finally her gaze lands on a crate full of the very thing in question, stacked up against a wall. "Looks like I've got plenty already made!" She gestures and... one of the smaller crates floats, rattling loudly as it does so, until it lands on the counter with a rattle-thunk. The thin-walled crate has about twenty javelins in it...

Tepet Makara "Ah I see, the reason I was unaware of that is not I'm not a Silver Pact member and I had only few interactions with my fellow chosen for years before I arrived in Great Forks. Although I was considering joining them and maybe impress a shahanya, I decided to follow my own path and instead covertly aid my house when the Realm finally breaks into factions" He sighs with a hint of sorrow as he can't truly see eye to eye with fellow lunars.

"I know my house won't immediately accept me even if the Realm scorned them, but I did my best to pose as one such as practicing water dragon and wearing this "Shogunate" armor."

He then turns to the crates that carry javelins. "Oh nice, I'll pay for them. I wish I could have bought more, but sadly I'm not as rich as other dynasts since I'm from a thinblooded household"
Lin Lin jawdrops quite spectacularly at Makara's admissions... and just causes another box of javelins to float over and land on the counter next to the first. "I can churn out a thousand of these in an hour, they're cheap, don't worry about it."

Completely giving up on any attempt at being a bright-natured host-merchant, Lin leans forward on the counter, chin resting atop folded hands as she staaaaares daggers into Makara.

"So let me get this straight... the Dragon's Blood didn't awaken in you... instead, something you did won the attention of the Silver Lady... but you think you can somehow exert any clout on the Scarlet Empire, which would just as soon see your head on a pike? Don't you get it? They think we're a manifestation of everything wrong with the world. No matter what we say, no matter what we do, your words and intentions mean nothing. Keeping them from breaking into an all-out civil war, sure, that's a noble goal, but I'd be looking to do so from VERY far away."

Tepet Makara "Well I admit the goal is difficult and impossible although I do not intend to stop the civil war because I don't think the Blessed Isle can hold any longer.....because I intend to exploit the conflict. My house is desperate in surviving since they will suffer the fate of House Akiyo, Jerah and Manosque if they will be crushed by our rivals such as Sesus and Cathak. Of course desperation leads to questionable allies such as anathema. My master....not a Lunar, wants his house to ally with mine but sadly I cannot speak of their names. He is also the reason why I managed to pose as a deeb" Makara does not mentions where his master even hails from

"If they accept my aid, I'll try to convince them to subvert the Immaculate Order to make at least the presence of anathema tolerable....or at least make up a doctrine that tolerate those who are not against the Realm. If they refuse my Anathema nature, I'll sadly have to leave and never return, I'll even forsake my old life. I also hope they won't mind my certain arts if they accept an anathema's help in the civil war....since it makes sorcery look acceptable at best"

"Since it has to do with dealing with the dead"
