Fudou the Mountain Nexus is not without its various dojos, fight clubs, arena's and sparring mats and this particular one, somewhere deep within the central district of the city fits well among that number and could be said to be somewhat popular with the locals. Though large and spacious, the arena is somewhat crowded at the moment due to the number of exhibition matches currently occuring, prompting the betting pools to see a frenzy of activity that rises and falls in time with the ebb and swell of noise and activity from onlookers and fights on the arena floor. Rumor has it that a former Champion Gladiator of the Hundred Kingdoms is present as well and that such a being is a sight to behold.

The arena is currently set for a rocky landscape with boulders and rubble strewn all around. Things, at the moment, seem to be business as usual.

Sivara One might think Sivara would want to join a bout like this. Then again, Sivara might think so too. But at the same time... well, look at her. Few would allow her into the ring, and in most cases they'd be right not to. On top of that, well...

She'd like to exercise some self-preservation, frankly. Still a little jittery from the shock of exaltation despite some time, she contents herself to sit on the sidelines, leaned back in a chair with one foot propped up on the guardrail around the fighting ring proper.

Fudou the Mountain Long before Fudou actually arrives, the ground begins shaking and trembling from the shockwave impacts of his footfalls. By the time he actually enters from his section of the arena, opposite where Sivara sits, the quakes are rumbling through the entire structure and dust clouds plum up from between the cracks in the stonework while additional cracks begin spreading through the ground as the behemoth arrives one body part at a time from the shadows of the arena halls. As the crowd roars and gasps at the sight of him, he lifts outrageously huge arms upward over his head while turning his fists away from each other. An audible creaking rumble resounds as his muscles inflate obscenely and creak towards stupendous proportions, even bristling the massive carpet of hair on the center of his ballooning pectorals. The flex actually sending a shockwave rippling out away from him. The enormous chained gauntlets that were around his wrists abruptly shatter into countless pieces of metal and stone as the arms beneath them harden and engorge ever larger. They were apparently just there for the effect of them breaking off.

Fudou swivels at the waist, turning his body about so that the arena can get full view of his outlandish physique and outrageous proportions. Though impossibly huge and massive, he yields no aura of a monster of the wyld but a strange charismatic pull seems to be there that draws energetic anticipation as opposed to him looking like some common buck ogre. Despite this..it seems to have the unintended effect of the more 'normal' looking combatants, martial artists or not, to begin balking at him and backing off. "No way! Not me!" and other complaints begin to ring through the air causing Fudou to lower his massive arms and frown in annoyance as his opportunities for a match seem rapidly dwindling. "What the--.. Hey! Where are you going?!"

Sivara There's a long frown from Sivara, and she tilts her head as she watches the almost absurd display. A shake of her head later she lifts her other leg, resting the ankle over her other one as she props herself up against the railing. A faint smirk crosses her face before she cups a hand around her mouth to call out.

"Ah, just make him take on the lot of 'em, even it up a bit!" she shouts amid the din of the crowd and the fighters, raising her other hand and whirling a couple of fingers about in a rounding-up motion before pointing at the massive fellow.

Fudou the Mountain "You heard her!" bellows Fudou, grinning as he reaches down to lay hold of a large stone with both of his hands. A second later and he's hauled it upwards infront of him. There is a pause as his body tenses, once more the force of an earthquake bristling its way through his sinew until the stone suddenly crumples, buckling inward from the giants prodigious use of brutish strength. Bits and pieces splay in all directions and a dust cloud briefly wafts over the giant like cloud cover swirling around a mountain range.

"I will even grant...uh..first strikes!"

Somehow this doesn't do much to ease the minds of the young fighters that drew for this fight and they continue to fall back or begin arguements with the fight promoters.

Fudou watches and then lets his shoulders slump and his cheeks fill out as he blusters out a disappointed gusty breath. "Mmmmm...Oh well.."

Sivara "Tell you what folks. Drinks on me and free wound care to go with it to anyone who actually gets in there," she shouts further, laughing more fully now and shaking her head. "Come out in better shape than you went in, I promise."
Fudou the Mountain "Ah, it's no use. I'm not as interested anymore. I don't beg for fights. I'll just have to go back to forcing them to happen the old fashioned way." grouses Fudou as he dusts his huge hands off. He then turns his full attention towards Sivara, "But you.. you seemed eager to see something! Hmm..if it wasn't for that frail body of yours..I'd invite you to come down and give it a shot yourself!"
Sivara "I'd probably go for it if I was a little more myself," notes Sivara, nodding a little. "But probably best to take it a little slower after nearly dyin' of one plague or another. Else I'd already have been down there, like as not."
Fudou the Mountain "Ooh?"

A half leap takes Fudou airborn and across the distance, to land thunderously closer to the wall that serves as Sivara's foot rest. He treads forward, drawing nearer towards her and then leans forward to place a meaty palm against the stones to steady himself as he leans in, nostrils flaring..

"I thought I smelled a fighter on you. So..what happened to you?"

Sivara "Ancient ruin, strange curse, wasting sickness. Lasted a couple of years. Then we found a solution in another ruin- so on the mend, and all that. Takes time after so long, though- though I've still got more to me than most people assume," Sivara explains, shrugging a little and lowering her feet back to the floor to lean forward in her seat a little.
Fudou the Mountain "Ugh."

It's not wholly an unsympathetic sounding 'ugh' though the brute is certainly boorish and uncouth enough. ".Mm..that's to bad. I guess you're lucky to be alive then. Probably best to not to push it though maybe you'd serve as a trainer from the sidelines...eh? Passing some knowledge on, including how to have some guts and courage. I guess I shouldn't expect much more from fighters from a place like Nexus.."

Sivara "Ah, I'm young yet, I'll bounce back," Sivara says, brushing it off quite nonchalantly with a wave of her hand. "And honestly, I think mostly you shouldn't expect much from people about a quarter your size and tenth your weight. Got weight classes for a reason. Ever consider sauntering on out to Volivat for a spell?"
Fudou the Mountain "I expect...courage!" remarks the behemoth, bringing a fist against his chest with a loud *THUMP*, "But..there is still a softness here. It's understandable. It's Nexus." He inclines his head at mention of Volivat..as if considering if its familiar wounding to him or not. He then slowly grins and nods his head, "Mmm...that's in the Dreaming Sea, mmm? Far. I think I met some from there once. Was impressive, true enough. You been that way?"
Sivara "Not personally, but you hear rumours in fighting circles and in magic-seeker circles both, all the wild secrets of warriors who can fight a Prince of the Earth and all that," Sivara says, shaking her head. "But who knows. Might be they're just regular sized. Maybe I've met one?"
Fudou the Mountain "Oh they're not like me no." The huge mans confidence is..odd in that. He hasn't been there after all.

"I'm sure I'd have heard of an..island nation of giants able to fight the Dragonblood on equal footing. But that doesn't mean they aren't ..uh...large..so far as you consider things large."

Fudou shrugs, heaving his shoulders and then jabs a thumb over his shoulder, towards the east, "Plenty wierd things around here anyway, especially in The Hundred Kingdoms. I suppose I will eventually see Volivat. However....you'd do well to be careful with future magic seeking and ancient ruins..else it take you longer to bounce back. Even a rumor can be dangerous.."

Sivara "Am I starting to think you might be from around there, or is that just me?" Sivara shoots back, smirking a moment. She shrugs it off, and looks off to the side.

"Well, the other side of that is... am I going to regret it if I don't get back out there? Besides, I can think of worse ways to make a living. Imagine owning property." She makes a face at that. "No thanks, no tenants for me."

Fudou the Mountain "Easier to take what I need and sleep where I went when ready versus renting or needing to own a place." responds the giant. He waves and then bows slightly. Not mockingly but there's no true reverence there as evident by a grin. "I take my leave now. Temples to raid. Caravans to raze. Dojo's to frighten." with that the brute, Fudou, turns and begins pounding his way heavily back towards the entrance.

"Hmm..those were good chains to. Now I got to buy new ones to do that all over again..."

Sivara "And you said I had dangerous hobbies," quips the gaunt woman, head shaking with another wry smile. "Best of luck then."

A long pause from Sivara... and she rolls her eyes at the chain musing. The wild theatrics perhaps not her game, she whirls to the side and ascends to her feet, stretching a moment before making her own way off at an idle amble.
