Misa Behind the stands and inside a tunnel, there is something of a makeshift staging area for the fighters. A few tables along a wide hallway, a few out of the way nooks for gathering, and one or two small rooms for one to get changed in if need be. It's busy back there at this time of day- as the tournament draws to the higher-profile battles, many people take extra effort to be prepared, making up for the fewer combatants and slower rate of matches with the added cermony.

It is in these small areas that Misa sits for the moment, quiet in a random corner. No particular table or anything, just a small open space with a cloth rolled out with a few effects therein. Smaller, finer cloths, a few small vials. She has one of these cloths in hand- and is in fact simply quietly oiling her two shortswords in turn- her longer slashing blade off to the side for now.

It's a borderline meditative process, it looks like- a small scuffle slams another fighter into the wall not three feet from her seating position and she hardly seems to react at all- at least to that.

Raullaur Through the tunnel, Raullaur strides, his recent bout having brought him back into the public eye as wearing and wielding gold. As such, while some stare, and others glare, people stay out of his way.

No sign of the armor or klaive today, though, as he keeps eyes and ears alert, watching all around, and so he of course catches the bit of scuffle, but deliberately looks beyond that, in case it's a distraction, which leads him to catch sight of Misa maintaining her weapons, and so he strolls over towards her. "Greetings," he rumbles. "Looking forward to your next bout?"

Misa Misa glances up even at the approach- lion-men do tend to have something of a distinctive gait. She smiles faintly, nodding a little before Raullaur speaks to her. She listens intently, even as she continues working the oil along the edge of her second short blade.

"If it is of more interest than the prior ones- then certainly so. Time shall tell." She pauses in her work, looking up at Raullaur in a silent inspection for a moment. "No equipment with you- shall I take it the... news, has reached you?" she questions, in a voice even quieter than her normal.

Raullaur "News? Not as such," Raul replies. "As for equipment...it is of little use if I cannot have it instantly. There are ways," he says. "I have heard some things, but with the preparations for the fight, I was...distracted from paying closer attention to other things. What have I missed?"
Misa A quirk of the brow from Misa, and she considers Raullaur again for a moment. She continues oiling her blade for a moment, exhaling slowly. "Perhaps... something best shared away from other ears?" she suggests, speeding through the remaining process without any particular loss of quality work.

A moment later she sheathes the weapon, stowing it and its mate, as well as her stylized slashing blade through her sash in practiced motions. She exhales, looking upward still at Raullaur given the height difference. "Walk with me, perhaps? Something... well, you in specific should probably be aware of sooner than later."

Raullaur "A good idea. Let the magpies chatter amongst themselves," he says as he flicks his tail and starts to walk with Misa. "If you don't have a bout soon, do you want to go out of the arena? One of the tea or gambling houses nearby?" He twitches his hear at that.
Misa "I am no gambler by any means, but I am in no grand rush no," she admits, shrugging slightly and turning to begin the walking out of the preparation rooms.

"What -have- you heard, anyways?" she questions curiously, once the pair are deep enough in the crowd and moving at decent enough clip to not be likely understood by most any passerby.

Raullaur "I heard the sounds of writing. Was there when the listening device was found, but don't know anything beyond that," he says, quietly. "Heard about a couple of large fights in the arena, before I could finally get in. So I think there's attention focusing on a few now."
Misa A slow exhalation from Misa, and she nods slightly. "Well, you know the relevant one here," she admits, hands folding behind her.

As the pair pass from the arena floor proper and into one of the tunnels out of the building, she glances and listens about for a moment- confirming the tunnel to be empty for the moment.

"Well, that item of a listening device- some others and I found it to be for the sake of information brokerage. And now- there appears to be a sign or two that this has been brokered out to a potential chain that might call a Wyld Hunt to the area, with some confirmations. Hence my thinking your hidden weapon and such were a sign."

Raullaur "I learned to hide my armor very early on. Learned to store my sword the same way since coming here, after some...politely worded 'requests' from the city to not make people who mattered more nerveous." He snorts slightly. "So...a possible Hunt. The Three may not like it, but may not be able to resist it. I bet my troops would do well against them in an open skirmish or battle. But they will do their damndest to /not/ have anything like that, I bet."
Misa "In my... history, I have heard many tales of hunts. They are... unpredictable. Many think of them as monolithic- but it is more a... shared principle. For a call to action. The moon-chosen and others too dangerous to be allowed to be around- one could see anything from a small army of monks lead by dragon-style masters... to two outcastes and a friendly exigent without any other resources to work with. From direct battle to walling off one's inn and setting it aflame. Assassins or the like would not be odd. I would keep at my ready, were I you, though some of us are attempting to head off the call to action getting out."
Raullaur "I understand. I will order my troops to be on guard. If they are attacked..." His lips curl back in a snarl. "I willtake pleasure in finding those responsible and...teaching them the error of their ways." He snorts, and tosses his mane. "All right. Is there anything I can do to help? Scehdule patrols anywhere? Of course...any of my folk are very...distinctive. Ties to me not hidden at all."
Misa Misa shakes her head, exhaling slowly as she pauses for a stop in the midst of the tunnel, thinking a moment. "Right this moment... another associate of mine is attempting to draw the attention of this brokerage. The intention is that the contact in question can be tracked and followed, and uncover one of their places of operation. That can then be searched in some fashion, overtly or covertly. Find the trail this information followed to determine who purchased- find them, and continue that chain until we find the latest person to receive the tip. If things are not too late... can perhaps prevent the approach wholesale."
Raullaur "I suppose it would be more trouble than it's worth to just take and kill the people involved? Conquer this part of their organization and take it over for ourselves?" He sounds almost wistful at the idea. "Ah, well. It would rpobably be very easy to do...and hard to get out of afterwards. Like marching through a bog and getting completely mired in it."
Misa "And I have no particular interest in spycraft. I am certain someone can, if they care to. It would matter little to me," Misa adds.

"But, well, will certainly let you know if we need to cordon an area to prevent escapes or such. I suspect you are the only person I know with the proper troops for that sort of affair- and this is the last situation where I would want to chase a person through the streets- I would rather keep my involvement as quiet as possible, lest my association with this get back to certain people I would rather not see again in the near future."

Raullaur "Oh? Are these the sort of people that an army can stop? Or do you need spies and diplomats with their silver tongues and hidden daggers to keep them away? No, don't answer...better not to know. But if you need a company--or a smaller detachment--I have very reasonable rates." He grins, fangs bared, then sobers. "Thank you for the warning. I will be watchful. For now, though...I should probably go back to the barracks and let people nkow about possible enemies nearby."
Misa "Just offering ideas for those with a vested interest in avoiding this Hunt. This attempt to head it off is, ultimately, an investigation. Which is perhaps my personal specialty, outside of bladework. Easier, if this organization was some form of cult, the patterns of those I find simplest to follow. But I will keep you aware as we see one another. Best of luck with the barracks- and thank yo ufor hearing me out."
Raullaur "Only a fool doesn't listen to experts. And only an arrogant fool isn't courteous to them. Be well! And strike true, with both blade and insight!" Raul smiles and gives a deep nod before starting to make his way with greater purpose than before, back to the east quarter.
