Bright Journey There's a certain pleasant nostalgia to just sitting and relaxing around the nicely appointed morning room Bright has set up for her guests today. A bit cozier and more intimate than the formal study or the dining room, this is one of those rooms that's a bit closer to a normal house, aside from the quality of the furnishings and decorations, than the more formal guest areas. With a large, east-facing window and furnishings that tend towards delicacy rather than ostentation, it's perfect for a mid-day quiet teatime with a couple good friends.

Bright has on a black bodice and white skirt, legs crossed as she sits in one of the chairs, teacup and saucer in hand. She nibbles on a hors-d'oeuvre while waiting for Amethyst and Rishi to arrive, a fond smile on her face. There's a slight but very uncharacteristic sense of trepidation about her, though...just a bit fidgety in a way she is normally not. And she's not trying to hide it at all. How peculiar.

Amethyst Amethyst isn't upset or fidgety like she's been lately. There's a sense of certainty and determination to her that wasn't there before, a sort of clear focus on purpose, a sparkle in her eye with her ears up and slightly back. A silver bangle with a black jade disk inlaid rests on her left armor while her clothes are about the same as ever.

She's brought a journal with her, and makes her way to the mansion and to the room. "Hey, I've made it." She says, "it feels like it's been months since we last spoke even if it's not even been a week. A lot's happened, I swear." She smiles, and asks "How've you been?" She's curious of those fidgets but hasn't commented on them yet, maybe Bright will explain?

Rishi Rishi has arrived in her usual (lack of) outfit of tight silk knee pants and tight dudou chest covering, showing off her body in it's considerable glory. She seems a little nervous and subdued as she comes in but, upon seeing Ammy relaxed, she brightens up, even if the nervousness is still there. She cocks her head to the side slightly, dark hair flowing across her back like a liquid, upon noticing Bright being nervous.
She still smiles widely at the two of you. "How are you both being on this day? Are the plans for the Arena doing the going of well?" She's definitely a little more subdued when she asks Ammy "And ...what are the decisions you have done the making of?"
Bright Journey Bright looks up and offers both Amethyst and Rishi a genuine, heartfelt smile as they file in and greet her. She sips her tea again, then lifts her cup in greetings.

"Good morning, ladies. Or is it afternoon? I admit, time has been getting away from me a bit, with the late nights dealing with the Arena nonsense. Please, be welcome, come in and have a seat. Rosaly should be with you shortly."

True to Bright's word, a young lady in a quite proper maid's outfit comes in after everyone has a seat, a tray of tea and sweetmeats in hand. While she is busy setting everything up, Bright continues.

"Plans for deaing with the Arena are going reasonably well. Silk has an interesting idea on how to deal with some of it. Remember the first day you met her, Amethyst? Actually, I think you both were there, in Amethyst's shop, though I'm not certain. Remember how she was my 'servant', quote-unquote?" Bright grins knowingly. "You had -no- idea. And if we play our hand right, we're hopeful the seller will have no idea the 'monk' he wants to sell to is none other than her." Bright takes a sip. "Hopefully we can nip this in the bud, without them ever knowing he didn't actually stand them up."

Bright pauses to let that thought sink in, then adds, "But I don't want you two to think I wanted to talk to you today just about that. Hopefully we can have a more pleasant conversation. I have...news...and I really could use some insight that you two are certain to have more than me." At this, she starts to fiddle nervously with her cup, introspective as Rosaly finishes with her ministrations and retreats from the room.

Amethyst "Well, there's two big things I wanted to share today. I suppose I can start with the bigger of the two" Amethyst says, taking a deep breath, silently praying to the dragons for a moment before continuing.

"After we clear things with Nine Shits, I'm going to try to join the Seventh Legion." She says, and lets this bit of news sink in for a moment, "For a wide variety of reasons, the least of which is getting access to their vast information repositories. If I could've just used Lookshy's vast library I would've had the book I needed in days rather than needing to visit half the libraries in Great Forks. And getting trained to maintain and repair First Age Technology could be beneficial to getting more and more of Elderloch put back together."

"The more fundamental reason though is that they'd train me and teach me how to be a better Dragon just, in general. And it'll be nice to be around my kin, especially, I might say, in case I can find those that feel similar to I about Celestial Exalted, or at least think it'd be worth working with Lunars and Solars to deal with the Deathknights and their armies."

"Finally, having one of our circle in the heart of one of the strongest military forces around her could definitely be a net positive, doubly so if we one day plan to try to unify at least some of Creation. If nothing else I'll have a much better understanding of my own kin. I think I currently know more about Lunars than I do about other Dragon-Blooded." She says rubbing her neck, ears back and down, as she sips at her own tea.

Rishi Righi nods. "Good, I am being most glad that is doing the progressing. Please be letting me have the knowing if I can be doing the helping with that." Rishi pours herself a cup of tea and sips it, as Bright continues. She headtilts as Bright starts looking nervous. "Oh? Of course you can be having any of the insights I am doing the posessing, Bright. What are you needing?" Rishi leans forward.
And takes a sip as Ammy speaks, somehow managing to remain glouriously attractive even while spitting out her last mouthful of tea, while the cup tumbles from her nerveless fingers. She sits there gaping while Ammy explains, only regaining her composure slightly when she finishes speaking. Rishi blinks, then thinks. "...What if they are not doing the ...accepting of you. Because of the ...heritage you are doing the having? Or if they are doing the finding out of your ....relationships?" Her voice gets quiet. "...And...what if they are doing the accepting of you and ...Frosty or I are wishing to be doing the visiting?"
Bright Journey Well. Bright's rainbow eyes widen as she listens to Amethyst, then as the alchemist explains, Bright actually starts to look just a little worried. She can't help but wince a bit as the sound of shattering porcelain echoes throughout the room.

"I...Amethyst, dear, that is a -hell- of a step to take, don't you think? Honestly, I don't know enough about them to say whether they'd have you, but you can assume they will find out about things like the ears at one point or another. I'm most worried, though, that they'll make you tell them about all of us, especially Rishi and Frost. I'm sure they'll expect loyalty to them, after all..." Bright's voice trails off in thought.

"Well, I have to admit, that's worthy of a whole conversation in itself, to be honest. But there's something big I really have to get off my chest too. I had something happen to me the other day, something -big-, something I kind of wanted years ago and wasn't expecting this soon..." She sighs a bit and takes a long, deep breath. "...And was nothing at all like I was expecting.

"Yesterday Fudou and I were at a little sidewalk cafe next to the Arena, and..." She pauses, fiddling with a cord around her neck. The one with Rishi's charm tied to it.

"I found my mate."

Amethyst Amethyst can feel the weight of her own decision now more fully than ever, like its her turn to feel the pressure of the ocean threatening to crush her. And she can't fully put up a mask or anything of that sort. "Yeah, I know it's a big step that comes with a lot of risks. But it's ultimately the first time I feel like I'm doing something for myself. Like I'm finally getting a say in what my life actually should be."

"They'd accept me if I prove myself valuable enough and, yes, loyal enough to them and their cause." Amethyst says. "That latter part's going to be the harder one. And maybe I care about my old friends too much to let them squeeze that information out of me." She looks between the two. "At the same time, I gotta try. Maybe Pearls can teach me how to be hard enough to hide my true intents right beneath the most scrutinizing eye, given what she is."

"And as for my previous connections, as far as I know you're all Exigents and I never particularly pressed any of you on exactly who or how you were chosen." She notes. "And I'm not going away forever, I'm keeping my damn alchemy business and enough of my freedom to come down and still adventure with you lot. Maybe I'll even turn to sorcery and find some way for there to be more than one of me, I have a few ideas in that department."

"Point is that I'm not going to risk any of you for my own sake, no matter how much I might want it, and I'm not gonna be like going to the Realm and vanishing from your lives forever. I'll still be here to some extent or another, one way or another."

And then she takes a moment, and looks towards Bright, "A mate? Your... um, I don't know the term but I've heard of this sort of special bond before. Something like us Dragons feel for one another but very different at the same time, and shared between a single Lunar and a single Solar." She tries to remember what she knows about this. "Sorry if I ruined your big reveal with my own."

Rishi At first Rishi starts getting ready to wince and is reviewing her knowledge of remedies for soreness and tearing, but then Bright continues and explains that, no, she's not dating Fudou, she found her Mate. Rishi brightens up immdiately, and pulls Bright into an excited hug! It's very good that she's not gotten another teacup as it would have been flung away, to smash against the wall. She takes Bright and looks her in the eyes. "Tell. Me. Everything!"
With visible difficulty, Rishi pulls herself away from Bright and turns back to Ammy, pulling her into a hug. "Thank you for doing the thinking of us." She pulls back and looks at Ammy, then nods. "As long as you are doing the preparing for this and not being the reckless...If it is the thing you are doing the needing to be doing, then I am doing the supporting of you." She pulls Ammy back into a hug. "I am most understanding the need to be yourself. So, do not be letting them take yourself away from you."

Rishi smiles, very catlike. "Sometimes between the single Lunar and the most Special of the Dragons too. It is being a very ...interesting feeling. It is making the love even more of the intense."
Bright Journey Alas, poor teacup, Bright knew ye well. Or at least was drinking fron it when Rishi fairly drags Bright from her seat and crushes her in a massive hug, incidentally sending Bright's (thankfully mostly empty) teacup across the entire room to smash against the far wall!

As the crash-tinkle-tinkle happens, Bright's eyes widen and she squeaks, not able to get much more noise out. Between the two of them, there's quite a bit of padding and not much room left for lung capacity.

As Rishi lets go, Bright looks a bit dazed and confused, but smiling, pretty well ignoring the teacup as her mind is on a bunch of other things. "I...well..." She starts hesitantly, turning a bit to look at both other girls. "His name is Wandering Tree, and he's a -big- guy...seven feet, maybe. Not quite Fudou's size, but they sort of knew each other already, and I can see why. We knew each other right away, and he's got the same dusky skin and white hair that I remember." She smiles faintly. "Even if he's a great deal more -male- than I remember. Still...there's no doubt in our minds. The problem is...it wasn't anything at all like I was expecting. I thought there'd be an emotional connection, you know? Like, I'd suddenly remember everything and it'd be like it was in my dreams. Nothing like that." She sighs and kneels down, starting to pick up the remains of Rishi's cup. "We know we're each other's mate, but intellectually. Just...minds. Not our hearts. We are kind of back to square one, in many ways, and I'm not sure if it'll be the same." t Bright pauses, teacup bits in hand as she stands back up, to look at Amethyst. "I know this is Rishi's place to say, not mine, but for what it's worth...if this Seventh Legion thing is what you feel you need to do? I understand. What's the point of being what we are if we do not reach out and grasp our destinies with both hands? Just...please, be careful." She grins faintly. "And shock them with your skill. I know you're better than any ten of them."

Amethyst Hugs are nice. And Rishi thankfully makes for a really nice pillow. She gives a little smile after the hug.

"I will be as careful as I can. For all of our sakes." Amethyst says. And then she gets this cheshire grin her face, "And I will not let them take who I am, they will have me as me or they won't have me at all. I might need to change some small things about myself, but the core of who I am will remain." She assures her love.

"I... think I've met this person. But I don't know him outside of him being big. And through what I've gathered about past memories, there's really no going back to who you were after you die. Dying sucks." She says simply.

"As for Lookshy? I /intend/ to blow their socks off and have them accept me as a valuable asset to their whole organization. If I'm lucky I'll be able to just move my operation there and continue much like before, just with increased resources. If I'm less lucky I'll be stuck spending some of my time deployed on whatever assignments they'll have of me. And I'm sure that someone with my skill in sorcery and crafting will be someone they'll want to teach to maintain their first age tech, once they trust me enough, anyway."

"I'll be talking with Pearls about making sure that I never betray my true feelings no matter how hard they press on me. I'm also in contact with a rather naive Sorcerer Engineer already from the Gens I wish to become part of, hopefull she'll be able to smooth things a bit once I really do make my bid. And she'll be my litmus test to make sure that my powers aren't gonna get my hunted down like the Realm would do to me. Gods why does the Realm hate sorcerers so much when it was lead by the foremost and most powerful Dragon-Blooded Sorcerer I've ever heard of?"

"Well, most powerful until I'm a bit better trained and get more experience." She grins widely at /that/ thought. "One day I /will/ be legendary, so help me."

"Anyway, we first we gotta deal with Nine Sheeves and make sure their damn paper doesn't claim we're anathema or something like that.

Rishi Rishi nods vigourously in agreement to what Bright says to Ammy, absently reaching over to take the teacup remains from Bright with one hand, before sitting, picking up the remains of the cup she broke with another hand, sucking for a few moments on the fingers of a third hand, and then starts absently putting the pieces of both cups back together, her four hands working in a surprisingly hypnotic harmony.
Rishi smiles sadly at Bright, "I am seeing. And I am feeling the sadness for you both." She sighs. "I am thinking that is likely what I should be doing the feeling, should I be doing the meeting of my Solar. With Pearly, there was already being the connection, but the ...creating of the bond between us was just doing the deepening of it." She headtilts, considering. "My advice is to be doing the talking and the learning about each of the other. If you start feeling the connection into your heart of hearts, then you can be doing the following of that."

Rishi smiles at Ammy. "It is being most lovely to be seeing you happy once again. And, if you are ever wishing the help of another of the Sorcerers, you are only needing to be asking me." She headtilts, considering. "...Would you like to be having the Demon of the Second Circle doing the accompanying you to the meeting with the Lookshy? That should be the most nice demonstration of the power, yes?"

As Ammy comments about the Realm hating Sorcerers, Rishi sets the teacups down on the table, repaired so finely there's barely any seams are visible cracks. Best not to ask where the glue came from. "Well, those who are doing the following of the Sorcerer's Path are being a little bit of the ...odd. I am thinking the Realm is just not liking the strangeness."
Bright Journey Bright still has a fond, sad, faraway smile as she listens to Rishi and Amethyst weigh in on both of today's revelations. She looks at Rishi and murmurs a word of thanks for fixing the teacups. She then adds, "Well...yes. Tree and I are planning on doing exactly that. Just...talking and getting to know one another. I haven't made a secret of having saved myself for my mate, but...well, you know. I didn't really realize things would be this way." She chuckles through a bit of a sob. "I mean, here I was, knowing I was going to be handed true love on a platter, you know? But it didn't happen that way. Still, I may not have skipped the whole courtship thing--if it happens that way--but I'm still kind of glad now that I don't have another lover. That could have gotten awkward, I guess. And if it doesn't work out, well, I'll at least be free to do what I need to."

Bright listens to Rishi's offer of a demon, then shakes her head smiling. "Rishi dear, not every problem can be solved by throwing the right demon at it. In this case, if Amethyst plans on keeping the fact that she knows Solars and Lunars secret, perhaps bringing along a demon a Dragon-Blooded couldn't have summoned is not a very good first step, hmm? On the other hand, she's sure to need more hands at her shop in Great Forks."

Amethyst "Lookshy doesn't allow summoning anyway." Amethyst says, "I had a whole plan to run a bunch of things with elementals too. I'm sure I can find someone here to run my shop, preferably someone I can trust."

"I do have a few things to dazzle them with though. And I plan to add more to my repertoire. There will be no room to doubt my capability. That is how I intend to get over any stigma caused by my heritage."

Then grins at Bright, "Well, look on the, heh, /Bright/ side." she chuckles a little to herself. "You two are available for each other if it falls that way. And even if it does end up platonic, you two are stronger for having found one another if I understand it right. Like how so many of the powers of us Dragons work better with more of us participating."

"I'm quite happy for you Bright." She grins.

Rishi Rishi headtilts, thinking. and nods at Bright. "So, I should be doing the summoning of the demon to be the assistant of the shop, I am seeing." She hrms. "I shall needing to be doing some of the research to be choosing the best one."
Rishi gives Bright another hug. "As long as everyone is knowing and agreeing, having the fun together is not being the bad thing. But it is best to be doing the talking first, yes. But yes, I am also being most happy for you Bright!"

Ammy gets a hug next. "Good. I am being glad that you are being prepared. Please be doing the telling of me if you are wanting the assistance."

Rishi headtilts. "Mmm... So far as I am telling with Pearly, my powers are doing the responding well to her. Having the Mate is doing the enhancing of them, when we are doing the working together or I am doing something to be trying to be helping her."
Bright Journey Bright chuckles alongside the pun of her name, even though it's far from the first time. She hugs both Rishi and Amethyst as well, getting in on the group hug action with a much more heartfelt smile.

"Hey...thank you both. I mean it. I was sort of thinking what we talked about with Tree? But...it was really important for me to hear it from you both. This is definitely the right path, and like you both said, if we end up just being friends and allies instead of lovers, that's still a tick in the win column. The truth is, he seemed a little newer at all of this than we are, but I don't know for certain yet. I'll have to spar with him sometime and see how he does. I expect he'll fight a lot like Fudou, honestly." She grins. "He might not be -quite- Fudou's size--for which I am -grateful-, for the record--" She gives Rishi the stink-eye for a moment. "--but he still definitely seemed more power and less finesse. A good complement for me, tactically speaking."

Bright sits back and listens to Rishi for a moment, considering. "You know, I'm not sure I completely understand your lover's triangle...square...icosahedron...whatever. But as long as it works for you two."

Amethyst "Hopefully a demon that's not going to be super obviously a demon." Amethyst says, "Especially not an obvious second circle as you can bet your ass that Lookshy's going to want to investigate my shop." Then she considers, "Gods I should hide the wyld portal better. Maybe have a false wall built." She contemplates.

"Either way a second circle demon serving as the alchemist of my shop will look really weird." She concludes.

"And all this talk about Tree makes me wonder how he'd compare to myself in a sparring match. If he's half as powerful as Fudou it's gonna be trivial for him to deal with the likes of me. By the dragons Fudou's strength is unreal. I think he might've made a pancake out of me if I didn't surrender to him in the Arena."

"As for us?" Amethyst grins widely and gestures between herself and Rishi, "I mean, Dragons are usually only wed in pairs. Though we do end up with handfuls of quite close allies..." She giggles a lil bit. "At least I won't need to cut through quite so much red tape to become part of Lookshy, it'll be more like being challenged and tested. And I love me my challenges."

Rishi Rishi nods. "If you are wishing, I could be giving him some of the pointers as well. I am knowing a few of the things about taking the punishment and doing the recovering from the injury. And my role is to be the teacher of the others too."
Rishi hrms. "Pearly... She is coming from the place where sex is being most common...but love is being rare. Our Souls being together is being much more the important to her than our bodies." Rishi grins "I am simply enjoying the teasing of the Fudou." Rishi headtilts again, hrming, then grins. "If you are wanting to be learning more of the secrets of the pleasure, Pearly is the amazing teacher."

Rishi nods "I will do the looking for the demon that can be passing as the mortal then. I am being sure there is one that should be working. There are being quite a lot of the Second Circles."

Rishi winces. "Yes, after my...attempt to be showing him that I could be doing the handling of him... I needed to be spending the entire day doing the healing. I had to be regrowing both of the arms and both of the wings." She shakes her head. "I would not want to be doing the fighting of him most seriously."

Rishi smiles at Ammy. "I am most glad you are having the fun. I am wishing you the utmost of the luck! But, be most careful."
Bright Journey Bright nods slowly. "I have no doubt. Honestly, I well remember the one time I actually managed to drive him to his knees, but he also didn't really have the room to maneuver he needed. Or take his larger form. I think the best way for me to ever seriously deal with him is to skip the arrows and just talk him down." She chuckles faintly. "Hit him where he isn't, as it were, and while he's friendly enough, I don't think I'd have much trouble winding him around my pinky if it truly mattered.

"That said, Rishi, I think I'd prefer it if you just let us talk it out, maybe not try to give Tree any...pointers." She chuckles, shaking her head slightly. "Mind you, I'm sure you'll get a chance to meet soon. I don't know if he knows too many of the Lunars around here, after all, and I do want him to be comfortable with us. He should meet Silk too, come to think of it, and maybe see the Mansion..." She pauses. "Or maybe that would intimidate him. The place Fudou and I were eating was pretty casual. Aside from my clothes, I'm not sure he realizes how much silver we -have-. Or how potent we are. It will be an experience, I'm sure."

Amethyst "Salara is definitely an interesting one." Amethyst nods in agreement. "She is quite sad to hear that I want to go to Lookshy. I think she's going to really miss me." Amethyst's ears falter as she frowns. "Admittedly I do feel a little bad, I do love her, and you Rishi." And she looks at Bright, "And I greatly appreciate how much you and the other folks have helped me along. That's why I'm taking the precautions I'm gonna take, even if it does mean I don't make the cut." She sighs, closing her eyes.

"And Bright? I'm sure you of all people will be able to catch him up to speed with your affairs. I wonder what he'll think of a strange dragon like myself. I saw him but I never got to introduce myself. I'm excited to one day meet him myself."

"Oh, and I wanted to ask you Rishi, and might as well ask you too Bright since you're here. How do you feel about a sorcery that would actually let me be in two places at once? Even if I couldn't have my magic in my doppleganger it would be convenient for communication and keeping myself updated on happenings here."

Rishi Rishi frowns. "No. If you are wishing for this to be doing the working, you must be doing the honesty. Keeping the secrets is not being much the help. Perhaps there are not being the best things to be starting with, but keeping the secrets is not being the 'good idea.' But I am being sure that you can be doing the explaining well."
Rishi looks playfully affronted. "I was going to be doing the giving of the advice upon the working of the Essence and the healing and manipulation of the body. Not..whatever else you are thinking I might be doing. I shall look forward to doing the meeting of him."

Rishi pulls Ammy into a tight hug. "I will be doing the missing of you most strongly. But I am understanding your need to be going." She just holds Ammy for a while. When she says the thing about the duplicates, Rishi loosens her grip and hrms. "Such things are being possible for those such as I, but I am not versed in the technique. Tiziri is most skilled in such things, so doing the talking with her would be much of the helpful." Rishi gives Ammy a stern look. "Just do not be doing the breaking of your soul. Again."
Bright Journey In her driest possible tone, Bright adds, "Yes. Please. Do leave your soul intact. It makes for a dreadful bother, what with invading fae armies and whatnot." Bright laughs a bit. "Do you have -any idea- how long it would have taken to get the salt out of my hair, were it not for this collar? Do consider us before taking -that- kind of trip again."

She pauses and looks at Rishi, her face turning a bit more serious. Rishi. Dear. There's quite a bit of difference between not starting with the weird stuff and actually -lying-. I have no intention of lying to him. I just want to...ease him into the crazy, not just dump it all on him on day one. As for that sort of advice, hey, that's Lunar things. I have nothing to do with that. It's just relationship advice where I was getting a bit leery. I hope you don't mind that."

"Duplicating yourself? I actually didn't realize Tiziri could do anything like that. Interesting. But if you're trying to be sneaky I suspect Infallible Messenger is a lot simpler all around for short messages. I could see it for a conjugal visit, though." She smirks, taking a delicate and ladylike seat in her chair again, legs demurely crossed, the very picture of grace.

Amethyst Amethyst shrinks under Bright's tone. "I-I'll um, it's alright it was just a thought I had. As for Tiziri, she seemed to think I was just trying to mimic the powers of the Lunars and we weren't somewhere I could fully explain things." Amethyst says and sighs.

"Aaaanyway." Amethyst says. "I'll not be breaking my own soul any further than it's already broken. The fact that I have more powers from the wyld now than I did before is either a reassuring sign or a dreadful one and I've decided it's the former since my identity hasn't melted at all."

"I'll be careful with my sorcery, alright? And if I do try to do a Sapphire Circle Working I'll try to at least ask if you'd like to be involved Rishi." Amethyst says, then she grins at Bright, "Won't be asking you to come back to Elderloch anytime. I" And she looks down, "I do still really appreciate what you did for me and the other Dream-Souled there."

Rishi Rishi smiles "I shall be gladly doing the helping of you with any of the Workings you are doing. And I should be most happy to be doing the traveling to Elderloch once the more. I am not being sure how much your mother is doing the liking of me."
Rishi gives Bright another hug. "That is being most true, yes. I am most looking forward to meeting your Mate and doing the wishing of you both the best."
Bright Journey Bright offers both Amethyst and Rishi a fond smile. "Thank you both. I'm looking forward to introducing you to him. And rest assured, Amethyst, that you're more than welcome for everything in Elderloch. I really was, and am, happy to help." She grins. "Besides, I don't get to really let loose all that often, you know? In a way it was refreshing, though obviously I don't wish the circumstances on anyone."

Bright hugs both girls again. "Anyway. You know I'm happy to help with Workings as well, or anything else you need. We still certainly live in interesting times..."
