Fudou the Mountain Wher does a ten ton yeddim hang his feet up?

Anywhere he wants to, or so the jokes go.

In this case these jokes are quite literal in their meaning. Fudou has never revealed to others just where he sleeps at night. In fact, he'd be more likely to be found sprawled out in an expensive brothel or even in the Chateau as opposed to some great manor or home, or perhaps somewher outside of the city. The truth is that he -does- have a place of his own..he has just remained intensely private up until now.

"This way." he offers to Raullaur, whom he had meet him in this part of the city before leading him through the warehouses and storage facilities in this section -- to somewhere.

"You're only the third person I've led here before. Tiziri and Makara have been by. Not to worry we can't be followed or tracked."

He grins over his shoulder, down towards the lion man, "Lunar Trickery..."

Raullaur Raullaur looks around, and nods. Normally able to keep track of where he's going, this time might be behond him.

"It's a good place to be, and I'm glad it's secure from prying eyes and ears," he rumbles.

"Things going well for you, it looks like."

Fudou the Mountain "Once i show you how to get here, you can always get here." says Fudou, "I've revealed it to you..for as long as I keep it. It's not permenant. I usually just stock up a place when I want one or a safehouse to hide people in. I can get maybe about...I dunno..ten people.."

He reveals a massive warehouse that likely was used for food storage at some point but upon opening the door to let the general in he would find -- actually surprisingly opulent den! He's been busy it seems. Furniture sized for him as well as for guests. Food on large trays and other convienences that might suggest he's hired help to keep the place clean and suitable for long term living. A true 'bachelors pad' for lack of any other description. Large windows allow for great lighting and where those are not viable, lamplight does the rest.

"Sit anywhere you like.." he offers before stalking forward towards a shelf with a large tray of fruits and meat on it. Enough to more then satisfy himself meaning..alot. Alot alot.

"You're safe here."

Raullaur "Oh, that is...very good. That would be amazing for scout camps!" He laughs and takes a seat then and stretches out a bit before relaxing. "So...I had a thought I wanted to talk to you about. Not sure if it's a good idea, but that's why I want another perspective. And talking will force me to get it out rather than all jumbled up in my head." He shorts a bit.

"So...the tournament. The organizers are playing us, and that's making me angry. So...since we're likely to end up facing each other at the end...how can /we/ play /them/?"

Fudou the Mountain "Hmm...! You seemed riled up!"

Fudou lowers the plate of meat and hands it towards the large lion man while grinning slowly.

"I suppose in a way we are being 'played' insomuch that thsi is being used to tr and suss out people like us but what is it you had in mind? Yes, sure, get it off your chest. I may have something to share with you as well that might alter your perspective. but what do you want to do?"

Raullaur "Well...a couple of thoughts. A lot of gladiator fights are as much show as fight--often more so! So...do we want to make the tournament people look bad? If so, how?"

He takes the plate and pierces a couple pieces of fruit and eats one before continuing. "The other thing is...we have a friend who is big in running gambling here. Is there a way we can use that to hit them big enough in the treasury if something unexpected happens?"

Fudou the Mountain "You want to produce a 'fake fight'?" concludes Fudou as he sets the plate down once Raullaur has taken his fill. His face scrunches up in thought and consideration. It's clear that he seems to not be wholly onboard as of yet with some conflicting thoughts running through his mind but neither does he completely shut it down.

"That could have repercussions that go beyond just this tournament. You should consider, Raullaur, that the tournamnent itself is not fake. The people competing, including Misa and Amethyst, have wanted to truly test their mettle and others have also put their all into attempting to gain clout and exposure. The Consortium is attempting to use this informatio to profit off of discovering more supernatural beings but...it is a real battle...and we don't have concrete proof of who exactly their buyer is. If we fake a battle it could be discovered and that throws our reputations and the validity of the tournament and all who participated into disarray. Do you want to risk that?"

Raullaur Raullaur rumbles and mutters. "I see what you're saying. If it were just us? Maybe. If we both agreed to it. But messing up others? That would simply be impolite on a number of levels." His ears flick with irritation, and he grunts. "Fine, it's a flawed idea, but I still want to /hurt/ them. And now I need a better way to do so."

He takes a moment to eat a piece of meat, and then says, "All right. Calmed down a bit...what did /you/ have to tell me?"

Fudou the Mountain "Raullaur..." Fudou's deep voice rolls the r's as he grins at the war lion.

"If I didn't know any better....I'd say you didn't want to risk fighting me! Don't you want to see which of us is the greater fortress and under friendly terms that would add to both of our fame? Consider this.. If we fight and you..." he shrugs his shoulders a bit, mildly prideful sounding as he says, "..win..." his gaze then returns back to him, "Or lose... Your entire mercenary force and you will be elevated in the region in fame. Many would come calling for you. You have to think about how to use this situation to your advantage...."

He grins big, large teeth full, knowing he's trying to egg the lion on a little.

But he then adds, "...There is something else you can do possibly but it's very early in planning but we would have to move quickly. Tiziri discovered that the information that was gathered is being sent out by ship very soon. We intend to intercept it but we don't want to tip them off to it being us.. She visited me the other day to tell me. This is our chance to find out exactly what they know and who their buyer is. She raised a good point. I dont' care about The Wyld Hunt... What if it's another one of us? Or something darker? Something even the Consortium has no clue about. They're just selling information."

Raullaur "It's a shame they're not selling to /us/," Raullaur says. "As for the fight, sure. Let's go hammer and tongs! But also make it flashy. If we're going to do it, why not go all out, let loose and show them what it means for those of power to fight! Then, win or lose, the glory is real."

He laughs slightly. "And I guess we just /think/ it's the Hunt. Does anyone want me to send troops to shadow, or try to intercept things?"

Fudou the Mountain "Hmm."

Fudou considers the general and then finally takes a seat upon a large couch. He sprawls his arms back and then grins once again, "I'm glad you want to but Raullaur..you openly wear your gold and did to your last fight. Any with knowledge of such things might reach or have already reached conclusions. Do you even care if you display your anima in public? That defeats the purpose of attempts at subterfuge you know. Have you no means to disguise yourself or your anime?"

He rubs his jaw, "I -can- go all out because as a lunar I have gifts that are enabling me to trick the eyes of those who look at me. Right now you see me but...well..."

With that he dismisses his disgtuise charms. Massive yeddim horns curl into view from his enormous back. Fur bristles into being on his tremendous physique. Indeed he seems to grow even -larger-.. his tattoos swirl into being and his features become more bovine. more oxen like as he reveals the mutations of his hybrid form.

"YOu see?" he rumbles, "I am always in my war form but my mutations and tattoos remain hidden and my tell hard to spot."

He then gestures with a now clawed hand, "As to the rest.. That is what we're trying to decide. We approached Makara beacuse we think that our best bet is to use the dead to pretend to be pirates and take the documents but....if that fails we need an alternative."

Raullaur "That's what I was saying. Maybe it's time to reveal openly. To leave subterfuge, deniability behind. To let anima flare and really show things. Give people something to remember the rest of their lives..." Eyes gleam, before he calms back down from being roused.

"If can go all out, I need to as well. And that may well mean that all see the Sun's marks on me and more. So..."

He chuckles slightly, "So...for an alternative...if sorcery is not used, my men could march faster than they can. Boats and mounts could go faster, but not if they are afoot."

Fudou the Mountain "It is a difficult choice.." muses Fudou, becoming self reflective, "I have often thought if I've been...perhaps influenced overly much by our associates and become too cautious and used to hiding myself but there is a benefit to not being known as a lunar in a place like this. At the same time it's not as if we're not welcome here by The Three.. Even so, if you do what you say you're goign to do you will effectively put a target on your back. Are you willing to do that? And your people? If so then you should be prepared to do whatever it is you need to do but..just consider the fallout."

Quieting for a moment, Fudou seems to think and then he nods his head, "Well as for the boat.. Basically I believe Tiziri says that if we can't successfully retrieve the documents without tying it back to us then we should end up simply sinking and destroying the ship but she is concerned that we wouldn't be able to see who the documents are meant for. I think she believes we should hold extreme force in reserve but it's tricky. I'm honestly not sure what to do. She's putting alot of faith in her ability to slip in and slip out but thinks it should be under the cover of some chaos but we don't want to just...tip our hands either. What do you think?"

Raullaur "I think that I would rather act than not act. And that some times there is nothing to substitute for force. And I think they will fight. Perhaps it is time to leave, to return to the wilds and find a defnesible place to live as we have for seasons and years."
Fudou the Mountain Fudou the Mountain considers that for a long while and then finally nods his head,

"You have a point. It may come to that. If we have to destroy the boat then we destroy the boat. Tiziri is the one that found the information and Makara is willing to use his necromancy to bring in th dead but if that fails then we simply act. It's that simple."

He gestures, "As for you and I...if you are willing to reveal your full capabiltiies then far be it from me to deny you the chance. IF it means you have to leave and make a defense elsewhere then so be it. I will help you. Or perhaps THe Three will back you. The Wyld Hunt would never simply march on Great Forks and risk destroying the Confederation of Rivers but that doesn't mean other forces might not come against you. If it's time then so be it..."

Raullaur "I think that's the way it will be, then. It will be an interesting fight! And who knows...it might not be us at the end. There's always someone out there who can be more dangerous."

Raullaur looks pensive then, "I was only talking about force vs trickery because, ultimately, force is what I know. Tactics and strategy. And certainly there is deception and trickery within them, but not like...not like Silk dows."

Fudou the Mountain 'Well it's more to the point that if Tiziri can't get the documents she needs or is discovered we need an alternative with the boat but we're also talking.....few survivors. This is unfortunante. Simply because The Consortium is trading information doesn't mean that the mortals involved are wicked after all...so it might require making a hard choice there."

Fudou quiets and then shrugs a little and rolls his shoulders as he grins, "As to more dangerous? Ooooh...I don't know. Surprises have happened and of course the likes of Misa is in the tournament but more dangerous? That I doubt."

He gestures again, "But as I said before...we don't know for -sure- that it's a wyld hunt involved here. What if it's a Deathknight behind it? Or a Raksha? If so..then you may be right in that sense.. Or at least, less 'more dangerous' and more...more willing to go through extreme lenghts. It could even be a potential ally or maybe someone from The Bull's circle feeling out who is active in this part of Creation. That's why getting this document is so vital."

Raullaur "Who's the bigger threat? I don't know them. Who knows! They might not be hostile to us, which makes them easier to deal with than the Hunt, right?" He shakes his head, "Ok, the Bull I've heard of...and he would be well worth meeting, I think."

His tail flicks slightly, "So, I'll see about orders and scouting. Other than that...it'll be interesting to see what all comes from this.

Fudou the Mountain "Well I'm just -speculating-.." responds Fudou with some emphasis, "Creation is vast. There could be any number of excuses but I think we blinded ourselves by focusing just on The Wyld Hunt. It could be Heaven. It could be Hell. Or The Mask. We represent a threat to any number of powers that would want to do something to this region. Can you imagine if someone wanted to march on Great Forks and discovered us by surprise? But I understand Tiziri's thinking on that front. I told Makara that he should meet with us again before he commits to doing anything but if you have scouts that are willing to figure out the lay of the land...I'd say talk to her and find out the direction the ships are supposed to take and then set your men to it. That way we can pick the best spot for this...ambush.."
Raullaur "I can easily send them out. Better yet, I can have them work directly with her--assign them under her temporary command if she wants, or simply report to her with what they find if she doesn't. Probably find different places to ambush depending on tactics and what people can do..." Raullaur starts to muse. "On the other hand, simplest is best, and hardest to screw up. Doesn't mean simple is easy, mind..."
Fudou the Mountain "I think a combo of both." advises Fudou, "She's going to infilitrate but she's going to need the best place and time. We'll have to coordinate. All of us. Misa, myself and you will be last resorts in case Makara cannot come through with his necromantic abilities. He's been pushing himself but it'll depend on if there's a location for him to raise enough of the dead from. If we coudl maybe put them on a ship and have the ship attack then..that could be it. We could even possibly blame it all on The Mask or a Deathknight. That seems the safest bet."
Raullaur Raullaur hmmms. "Well, at least we have a plan. And a backup. And of course theplans are going to fall apart, and we'll just have to figure out what to do on the fly. As usual," he says with a wry grin.
Fudou the Mountain "Seasons ago I'd have just sunk the ship or dragged it to the shore myself in my full true form. I've never even showed that to you all but...I suppoose some degree of caution and thinking has rubbed off on my from some of you so I'm not as wild and spontanous as I might have been. For now we go with these plans yes but barring that...there's no point in holding back any longer. I agree."

Fudou rises and moves to get another plate of food. "You can stay as long as you'd like! There's plenty of food."
