Bright Journey There's a hundred different scents in the air, and Bright Journey takes a happy little inhale at the pleasant background scent of a well-run alchemist shop...no mean feat, considering what a poorly run alchemist shop smells like! She flashes a brilliant white-teeth grin behind her and holds to door open. "Come on in, nothing'll bite you. Unless Amethyst wants it to, I guess." She giggles a bit and makes her way further in, making some room in the process. "And please close the door behind you. I know I made you gallivant all about town, but I assure you this is someone you need to meet."
Wandering Tree Wandering tree bends down to enter the shop, moving with the slow care of someone accustomed to trying not to damage their surroundings while maneuvering their bulk. He looks around as he makes it past the threshold, his nostrils flaring as they taking in the pleasant odors. He tosses a wide smile in Bright's direction. "Perhaps we should avoid any biting, that could turn into a competition, and get disruptive."
Amethyst The alchemist is in. Standing in the back of her shop, she mixes up Dragons only knows what with her various glowing violet crystaline alchemy tools with some much more typical containers and apparati. Some sort of clear liquid mixed with another makes a lovely blue, followed by her splashing it with just a liiiittle bit of water from her anima. She grins, but as she hears guests come in, she gently turns the heat down and goes to greet them.

Amethyst is not your usual dragon-blooded, with prismatic tattoos stretching all across her body, telling a vibrant story in old realm. And large pointed ears that obviously denote her as someone touched by the wyld. Her garb is fitting for that of an alchemist, but with vibrant colors and some simple armor to go with it. "Welcome. Hey Bright, and, I don't know if we've met yet? I'm Amethyst." She gives a little bow.

Tiziri Tiziri is dressed in pants of a southern design, flowy and orange. While for a top she wears a regional style dress split on both sides, blue with silver moon, cloud, and lightning designs along it in elaborate embroidery. It is sleeveless. Her arrival sees her stepping into the shop with a confident little saunter, and a stick with grilled meat on it in her hand. She's taking a bite of it. The petite young woman looks altogether too casual. Unconcerned.
Bright Journey Bright is still smiling as Tree walks in, though she half-winces at the ducking and weaving necessary. "Whoops. I'm sorry. I forgot about that bit there. She goes to close the door behind Tree, but she's quite completely interrupted by Tiziri's sauntering in. Her pink eyebrows raise in surprise, but she recovers fairly quickly.

"Oh! Um, greetings, Tiziri! I didn't see you there, I admit, but your timing is impeccable." She grins knowingly. "Not an accident, is it? Anyway, this actually works out even better than I'd planned." She turns to Amethyst, still smiling. And good morning to you! I have a special guest I was hoping to introduce you to. Both of you, actually, if that's all right.

"Wandering Tree, this is Amethyst, alchemist of renown and a woman of many talents. And this," she continues, gesturing to Tiziri, "is Tiziri, who is also very talented but I haven't the slightest idea how to describe your job." She laughs lightly. "I'll leave it to you!"

She gestures to Wandering Tree. "And this is Wandering Tree. Someone I've...been searching for for a long time." Is that Bright actually blushing a bit? Oh dear!

Amethyst Amethyst gives a little wave to Tiziri. "Good to see you." Then she looks towards Bright, "Woman of many talents." She eyerolls. "Come now you know me better than that. When I'm not mastering alchemy, I'm using my sorcery." For a moment she grins and a wave of pressure falls over the shop as her tattoos vibrate, but then just as fast as it came, it departs. "Or kicking butt in a tournament." She sighs, "If only Fudou hadn't competed. Maybe I would've won."

"Is this the mate that I've heard about?" Amethyst asks, looking between Tree and Bright. "Good to meet you, I'm /sure/ we'll have many misadventures together." Amethyst gets up, and goes over to the door, opening it, tapping on it in a particular rhythm and spots, and setting the sign to closed before locking up. "I'm sure you guys didn't come by /just/ to introduce me though." She says, leaning against the frame of the door.

Tiziri T "I happened to be nearby, and wanted to know what is happening." Tiziri says as she moes over towards the side, she ends up regarding Wandering Tree more carefully. Her head tilting to the side as she does. "As for what I do? I do many things. But I think the easiest explanation is I'm a caravan guard. When I want. Or just my nickname, the Ardent Vagabond. I travel, I see things. I try to enjoy life."

Then she looks to Amethyst and says, "Fudou is one who was always going to be difficult to defeat, I've met many of the competitors, and there truly aren't many who I even give a chance against him." She gets an almost impish looking smile on her face as she says that. Before once more looking towards Wandering Tree. "So, a Wandering Tree? You are certainly tall enough." She quips.

Bright Journey Bright has a warm, fond sort of smile on her face as she watches Tree watch the other two...and then turns to Amethyst as she locks the door.

"Good idea. You're right, of course, on both counts. Tree and I..." She pauses for a moment. "I'm sorry. It sounds...I don't know. Eldritch. Extraordinary. Tree is my mate. It feels otherworldly just saying it, and yet it's...right...in a way I can't describe. Now, I should warn you...it's not like -that- between us, in many ways we're just getting to know each other for the first time. But aside from just that, yes. He is my mate, and just introducing him to everyone isn't the only reason we're here."

Bright pauses a moment to gesture to Tiziri. "That's why I'm glad you're here. Tree only just arrived and there's a lot of important people he should meet, what with everything going on. And since you're heavily involved, Tiziri, this is a perfect opportunity."

Amethyst "I've been to the depths of the wyld, Not much is Eldritch to me these days." Amethyst says, "And you two happen to be bound by some strange force that I don't really understand. but I sorta get it. Sorta." She shrugs a little. Then she looks back towards Tiziri.

"Yeah I didn't think I'd win against him honestly, but at least I put up a good show. And he didn't break every bone in by body so that's a plus too." She chuckles. "So what's the latest lowdown on things?"

Wandering Tree Wandering Tree lets his eyes bounce between the others as they talk, although they get caught on Bright for a longer moment as the talk of being a mate comes up before shifting away with awkward reluctance. "Yes, it's as she says. A connection from our past that connects us, but we're still learning of each other in the present. And as for my name, it wasn't really meant as a comment on my height. I just like to travel and see different places and peoples. But at the same time, I have a hard time not putting down roots and getting attached wherever I go. It's quite the dilemma."
Tiziri That makes the young woman regard Tree even more carefully. Her head tilting to the other side, almost too far to be typical. It's a weird affectation if nothing else! She even moves a little more close to the man. "Hmm, who is your Shahan-ya? Do you have one? Or are you unaffiliated with the Pact?" She asks, point blank even as her No-Moon Caste Mark and extremely elaborate and masterfully done even by Pact standards spiral themed moonsilver tattoos flare over her exposed skin.

hen almost without much pause she is looking back towards Amethyst and saying "Now that is the real interesting part. The ones spying on us are starting to become more clear. I have leads on the Consortium, and plans are in motion. As soon as I know they are moving, things will come to an interesting head." She grins widely, impishly. "We are following them closely, and I will know the moment the time comes." Moments later she's looking back at Tree and saying, "I understand Wanderlust all too well. Like I said, I'm Ardent Vagabond." She giggles a bit.

Bright Journey "Huh," Bright muses. "I didn't know that. I really thought it was the height, honestly." She chuckles. "Learn something new every day."

With a nod, Bright looks at Amethyst. "Oh. Right. That fight. I'm certainly glad he didn't hurt you! You, me and him have all sparred together, actually...I think with Silk. And I remember what it took to even slow him down. And we're all stronger than we were then, though I think my archery might have improved the least." She shakes her head and sighs, arms crossed.

As Tiziri interjects, Bright quiets down some, listening attentively to Tree's answer. Still, she can't help but respond to the mention of the Arena.

"I'm grateful for all your efforts sorting the Arena thing out. That's definitely part of why I wanted to bring Tree here, so we can discuss what we're actually currently -doing-. It's important you know, Tree.

"In short, someone in the Nine Sheaves Consortium, the group running the Congregation of Victory tournament, overheard a few of us talking. Things...we really, -really- do not want to get out. Apparently they make a business of it, aside from actually running a tournament and all the things around it. To give you an idea how much money they're making, I actually talked with a couple of them a while back, and the name 'Nine Sheaves' refers to the different kinds of drugs they grow. Qat, poppy, marijuana, all of that. So they sell that and drinks and food and make silver hand over fist.

"But beyond that, they listen in to everyone and find out secrets. Now we think whoever has out secret is trying to sell it to the Wyld Hunt. We have the magical artifact they were using to listen in, but tracking down the person has been more difficult. Tiziri--or Ardent Vagabond--has had considerable success recently, and we're hoping to both stop them, -and- forestall the Hunt coming by. They can't openly operate in the city, but still, it's dangerous for them to know anything about us."

Amethyst "I swear I'm the opposite." Amethyst says to Wandering Tree, "I've lived... approximately three places in my life so far? Tho I certainly would like to explore more, alchemy won't brew itself. I really gotta hire some folks to do the bulk of the work for me." She rubs her head. Then she addresses Tiziri, "And I assume that the thing you do where there's like, seven of you out and about is something unique to Lunars? I was hoping it was some sort of sorcery trick. Be real nice to have more than one of me going around doing things."

Then she listens and contemplates, "Well, if you need any help confronting them, I'd be more than happy to help. So would Black Pearl." She nods.

"And your archery is /still/ terrifying. Remind me never to piss you off." Amethyst says, chuckling.

Wandering Tree Wandering Treed relaxes further as the banter goes back and forth. He places his hands on his hips in the cross section of one of the aisles, standing up as straight as he can in here. "Is there anything I can do to help? I'm afraid that my assistance won't be very subtle though. When I get going, it tends to be a rather large display. But if you need any buildings knocked down..."
Tiziri The blue haired girl with the feathers in her hair seems to find a chair and sits in it, or rather, almost perches on it, taking a bit of her meat on a stick then. Tiziri just smiles enigmatically to Amethyst. "Perhaps." She states. Leaving it to remain a mystery. "A girl has to has to have her secrets." She notes simply.

"The nutshell is I am currently spying on their base here under the Arena. They have a tendency to move documents at certain times. The next time they do? I will know the ship they take an a group shall take it, ideally tricking them by using another ally's Necromantic skills to deflect blame. We want survivors. Ideally this will help send the Hunt against other enemies." She pauses a moment to let that sink in. "As soon as I know we have taken that, I will move on the base and take everything I can there. At this point they'll know they are compromised, but hopefully we'll know most of what they know. It may not answer every question, yet it should prove valuable no matter what we find."

She looks to Tree. "You are far from alone in that particular skillset. Sometimes overt is useful too, and if it comes to it? Maybe we will have to use you. I imagine They don't know of you yet, after all. Even if they might expect Fudou, who does have some similar skills."

Bright Journey Bright offers Amethyst a smile as she tilts her head a bit. "Aww. I appreciate the vote of confidence, but actually, I've been working far more on my footwork and defense than actually plinking at things recently. Mind you, especially against the unclean, you'll find I'm still very effective. And I've mastered a few more spells, as well." She chuckles ruefully. "Rishi's descriptions of her Ivory Orchid Pavilion convinced me to learn the spell, and I have to admit, the word of mouth doesn't do it justice. Almost want to take a bunch of people just to spend the night there, because it's just too huge for one person."

Bright simply nods in agreement with Tiziri. It's evident she's heard this plan before. "With luck, hopefully they'll turn attention away from us and to our--in fact, everyone's--enemy. Especially since they apparently really -do- hit shipping from time to time. Hopefully we'll all be long gone from there with their secrets before anyone knows what happened."

She pauses, looking up (and up!) at Tree--and Bright is actually not short for a girl. "Oh, Tree, I doubt you have a thing to worry about. What we're doing is dangerous and the Nine Sheaves will have to know -something- is going on. And we still don't know who's ultimately pulling the strings. Whoever is being sent all these secrets, I assume.

"Also, we're hoping to use the information we find to lure out the person who actually has -our- information. We know it's a he and he killed a boy who was listening with that artifact the night the information about us came in. So he knows the worth of what he has and he's trying to sell it. Now...Tiziri, once we figure out who and where he is, Silk--" Bright pauses and looks at Tree for a moment. "--My roommate, essentially, and the person who owns the mansion we live in. Anyway, she's -exceptional- at disguises, among other things, and plans to disguise herself as an Immaculate monk for this guy to meet. So we have to find out who he is and draw him out. I'd bet my bottom silver he's in hiding right now. We may never find him without tempting him."

Amethyst Amethyst groans a little, "Looks like I really will be using some unholy combination of my knowledge of the wyld and sorcery if I wanna pull of that trick." She rubs her chin, then shakes her head. But then she tilts her head a little bit and asks Tiziri, "Do we /have/ enemies to throw at the Hunt? I know me, Fudou, and Pearls had a long conversation about that. I certainly don't know anyone."

"You guys and your mastery of Sapphire Circle Sorcery." Amethyst says, "Maybe one day I'll find a way to break into it on my own accord. One day. Maybe." There's no jeleous here not at all.

"If you need any help selling the part of an immaculate monk, well, I do still /know/ most of the manuscripts of the Realm by heart even if I don't follow them these days." Amethyst notes, "Not as well versed in what Lookshy has to say on the matter though."

Then her body briefly shimmers in the same sort of prismatic color of her tattoos, melting and melding and shifting until she looks like someone completely different, like a dragon of much purer blood than her and a proper Dynast. Her clothes and hair and everything reshapes to fit the look and style of an immaculate water dragon. She grins at her much more delicate fingers, "Something like this may be able to fool them. But I imagine Silk's probably better at this than I am." Even her voice is different, as is her accent.

Wandering Tree Wandering Tree blinks in surprise as Amethyst changes and shifts, then grins down at her. "Well, if that isn't a wonderful trick! Hmmm... What sort, if any, do you think such a monk might ride as a mount? If you thought you might need some surprise backup, that is? That is one area of subtlety that I may be able to play a role in. I would like to help if I can. And I did avoid the tournament, so I would be quite surprised if the skulduggerists had any idea who or what I am. I would be quite happy to surprise them back on your behalf. If Bright is against them, then I would love to be all in against them as well!"
Tiziri Tiziri watches what Amethyst does with a bit of tension, perhaps the sorcery raising her metaphorical hackles until the result is known and she relaxes a bit. "If the ruse works, then they will go after the forces of Death, which benefits all of us. If the Hunt comes after us? We may need to act with decisiveness. I hate to say it, but that will be a point we can allow no survivors. " She sounds a bit sad, but goes on. "All the same, it will be necessarry. If we're compromised far more lives will be lost in the long run." She adds, equally sadly, but resolutely. "Especially if it leads the Realm to send Legions, or Lookshy it's forces, against us. That will end poorly. Possibly for a lot of people. I'll probably have to flee and go back to my Shahan-ya's domain, or perhaps make my journey to the Caul to lend my strength to them there."
Bright Journey Bright doesn't look too pleased about Tiziri's comment, either, but she sadly nods. "This is a conversation she and I had not too long ago, and it didn't thrill me either. I'm not as bent out about killing the Wyld Hunt, though, mind you--it's not as if they wouldn't return the favor with extreme prejudice if they could. It was mainly the sailors of that ship I wasn't happy about. But then, we need them to live to tell tales anyway." She pauses, thinking. "And besides which, we'd be fools indeed to bring trouble to the door of the Three. We're welcome in the city and it's treated us well, and I for one would just as soon treat them with the same courtesy if we can at all help it. Never mind that it's my -home- now."

Bright pauses and offers Amethyst a smile. "That -is- very lifelike. It'd fool me. I only mention Silk for two reasons...first, she is -unbelievably- good at it. It may be the thing she's best at, more than stabbing people or running her...uhm...businesses. And second, it was originally her idea. First thing she thought of when we talked about this. That said, -two- monks is hardly unusual. Maybe work together? Knowing what I know about her opinion of the Immaculates, I'm sure you know more than her about the doctrine." Bright turns and offers Tree a wide grin. "Now that's a trick I hadn't thought of at all. I daresay that's an excellent idea. I, on the other hand, had best stay well away. Fortunately that's to my advantage!"

Amethyst "I'm almost sure the Realm won't be able to send legions with how things are going back there. Looming civil wars do not go well for going and hunting us. Lookshy on the other hand has a bunch of internal politics of its own. We'd have to really show them that we're a huge threat and one more worthy of action than whatever the hell happened to Thorns." Amethyst says, but then she nods to Tiziri. "But making sure word doesn't get back about us definitely is something I can see. Doubly so if we show what we can really do." She frowns. "The Hunt is brutal and will stop at nothing to destroy the 'anathema'. There's stories of entire villages being burned and razed for daring to hide a single lunar. And an entire heresy that was brutally suppressed by the Realm some time ago."

"As for my 'trick', you can thank the wyld in my blood. I've finally managed to reclaim some of the powers I remember having in my other lives that my dragon-blood had suppressed." She focuses for a moment and melds back to her old self, but now with entirely too many mutations, including thick scales, a long tail, and fae-like wings. She /looks/ much like a dragon now. "It's been quite nice I gotta say."

"As far as monks and mounts? That's... actually pretty brilliant. You could hide as a horse or some such with great ease. And monks /do/ often travel together. I think the two of us will nicely complement each other." Amethyst grins.

Wandering Tree Tree crosses his arms, his grin widening. "The Realm's legions do indeed have many troubles these days. And I've even been among them from time to time. It's also true that they don't often pay very much attention to people's mounts, I've noticed. So, undignified at it may be, I'd be willing to help out in such a role. Even if things do go as planned and sudden violence turns out to be unnecessary."
Tiziri "Having a Monk who can definitively show some signs of being chosen by the Elements may well be useful." Tiziri agrees, looking over Amethyst further as Bright Journey comments on it. Then she starts to get a weird look on her face, as though momentarilly distracted by something else entirely, almost like her focus is not even on the now. "I... must go. Don't worry, it's not the thing we're waiting for, but something requires my attention." She stands and starts towards the door then, pausing to turn and bow with fist in palm. Her tattoos and caste mark fading as she does. "The Hunt definitely would not spare us, it is true. I've had to face a few in my life, and it was never easy, or pleasant." Then she turns and heads out.
Bright Journey Bright Journey is still smiling, but as Tiziri moves to leave she folds her hands together gracefully and bows. She's clearly no martial artist, perhaps, but she doesn't need to be to share the sentiment.

After Tiziri leaves, she looks at Tree and Amethyst. "Well," she says quietly, "I'd say that worked out quite well, wouldn't you two? I'm pleased you hit it off, even if I haven't forgotten about that question about your shahan-ya, Tree." She grins impiously. "I'd be all mysterious about how I know that, but the truth is I'm preparing for what will be a difficult trip once this tournament is over...a trip to visit Raksi, along with a few other people. As Fudou told me, it will be hard, but I'm ready now. And getting more so every day, to be honest. I'm making use of the extra time."

Bright...well, brightens, and starts to stretch. "Nnnnngh, I needed that. But anyway, it sounds like we have a real plan for both halves--dealing with the Wyld Hunt, and dealing with the Nine Sheaves. I'm looking forward to seeing all of this come together! And I expect you'll be quite useful, Tree, never fear on that one. Thanks for being willing to join us. I know this is all pretty new to you."

Amethyst "I'm terribly sorry for how undignified that may be, but the backup will be well appreciated. Not that me and Silk are pushovers in combat but every extra hand helps." Amethyst says, grinning. "Here's hoping that it doesn't come to violence though."

She offers her goodbye to Tiziri, then looks towards Bright, nodding. She goes over and offers a scaled hand. "It's been nice to finally meet you. I look forward to us working together."

"I think we have a pretty solid plan." Amethyst nods to Bright, "They won't know what hit them. And that's for the best. As for Raksi? I wish you guys all luck. Even I'm not insane enough to try to approach /her/."
